Author Note

As the title suggests, the London-Verse will be carrying across to TEW 2020, bigger and badder (well you know what I mean) than ever. Over time I will be dropping bits and pieces of information on the progress of the mod's development and details of the game world itself. In the first instance the start date will remain the same with, as the splash screen teases at, an expanded database. This will add more promotions and workers to flesh out what I would like to think is an already relatively well-balanced universe.

Future Plans

After stage one of development is complete we will move onto the more labour intensive stage two. Now at present, I want to keep my cards fairly close to my chest, as not only are aspects likely to evolve and change over time, but overarching ideas might make way for new and improved concepts. What I can say at this stage is that the London-Verse in stage two will be canonically advanced in time with the entire world needing a great deal of admin work to get everything in place; from contracts, to workers, to company standings all seeing a shift (in some cases dramatically so).

As a further tease, we will see some aspects of the professional wrestling industry look markedly different from how the world currently stands in 2015, specifically in relation to the promotions involved and their positioning in the overall picture.

Back To The Future Plans

Stage 3 will be the most time consuming of all of them as at some point in time I plan on doing a retro version of the mod starting back in the Golden Age of professional wrestling. Nothing is set in stone on this at this moment as I have more than enough to be tackling with the above. Alongside this I may look at doing start dates canonically between the three versions of the data but that is even further removed from the immediate work list I have created for myself.

Given my time and commitments I cannot guarantee any time frames or self-imposed deadlines, but I hope that you will enjoy both the destination as well as the journey it takes to get there with me.

I am sure that I will! Hopefully this time I can actually write a diary that goes the distance and does justice to the London-Verse lol

Always enjoy reading diaries based in the London-Verse so I will be sure to follow along if you do.

Progress Update

Just thought I would do a small update on the progress of the mod for those interested. As stated in the opening post, the first iteration of the mod for 2020, will be an expanded version of the 2015 data which will also have the new features of the game taken into account. Myself and the team have been working on the additional promotions that are being included to fill a few gaps that we had been looking to address from the 2016 release. Currently we are wrapping up a Mexican based company that I was very eager to get included for many reasons that I won't go into at this time, but I will say that I think it may well prove popular with the players.

Following the completion of the aforementioned unnamed promotion, there are two further additions in respect of companies to be worked upon. Once these have been finalised we will be undertaking a review of the existing companies and adding workers and personalities where needed based upon the new parameters of roster sizes. After this task has been completed we will be looking at fleshing out the free agent pool and graduates of training facilities/dojos. At this point, testing will take place to make sure everything works as expected and there are no game breakers. Then the data will be released for the public.

I should have also mentioned that through the help of the likes of Gracker, Prague_Pride, SMW88 and cooldude, the London-Verse has a full set of stable logos and a very solid start of event logos for certain companies (this will be a slow process but no doubt worth the wait).

For those that are interested and have any questions about the mod itself, feel free to ask in this thread, and, without giving too much away, I will do my best to answer accordingly.

I am so pumped for this! One of my favorite mods to play!!

Thanks :)

I can't wait... the longest diary I ever wrote was with the London-Verse (albeit I quit after several devastating injures ruined the game for me) and inspired me at trying my hand at modding... even though I'm just expanding the C-Verse with my characters that I submitted to the L-Verse and more.

I enjoyed that diary. Shame the injuries derailed your game, but I understand why it would. Fingers crossed you have another run at it some day.

Also looking really forward to this. With the Thunderverse the London-Verse is my favorite world to play in.

High praise indeed. Let's aim for the seal of approval! :D

I believe I saw a post about this in TEW2016 but I never got round to playing it!

I hope this mod kicks off well! It looks really fun!!!

I hope it lives up to your expectations. It would be great if this iteration could see a host of new players get to experience the game world. :)

I'll be one of them! I played a LITTLE bit in TEW2016 with Empire State Wrestling I think was the name? But I'll definitely dive deep into it this iteration :)

I'm here for it, London. I'd quite like to play a non-RW database but not feeling this iteration of the CV at all! I think I'll give the L-Verse a spin.

The big changes will be felt in the second iteration of the data when we roll things forward five years. We have some fairly big plans that should shake up the game world which I am looking forward to exploring.

I'm a n00b to the game (my repeated failures are a testament to that) and I don't know jack about the London-Verse, but that V for Vendetta vibe I'm getting from the pictures, yeah, great stuff. :D

I just tried to do something funky for the promo pic as I tend to be enticed by things that visually appeal to me in the first instance. I know that isn't exactly breaking news in the consumer world, but I try to depict stuff that would get me interested if I were an outsider. :)

I have quietly played the London-verse in previous versions of TEW. Looking forward to this one and all the changes that appear on the horizon.

Always nice to hear people have been playing the database and as I said above, the real big changes will be in the 2020 version of the data (the second release).

I am pleased to hear you plan on giving it a go. For what it is worth, I would also recommend playing the Thunder-Verse when it is released as that is top stuff. Give you some options that way. :)

Really looking forward to this, much like SkyWalker said earlier, Thunder Verse and London Verse is pretty much what I played in 2016. Even had a few games where I combined the two worlds...fun but big, lol.

Really looking forward to the Expanded Version, as the one minor issue I had with the LondonVerse was it seemed a bit top heavy, I guess would be one way to describe it. Like it was more built around the medium to bigger promotions that already had TV exposure and had already built up a fanbase, then the smaller scene.

That's how I remember it anyway, has been a while...I'm really trying to avoid the process of fixing everything up in converting a 2016 mod, so just playing 20 mods for 20. But I do remember I would usually import a few smaller promotions from the Tverse/Cverse (just the promotions, not the rosters) to make it seem like there was more a smaller scene.

But really enjoyed the mod, excellent collection of Women in it...Women's Wrestling is how I judge a mod, lol. That's what I normally play.
