SWF: The Evolution of Supreme

<p>Great PPV. Agreed with your end notes that it's not like this makes Remo a weasel champion or anything, he's still a 'legitimate' monster. Interested to see where it's going though, particularly with why Eric and Emma wanted Remo as the champion and how this plays in to their own goals.</p>

While true, I did not provide a view of the newest iteration of his character. So, here is what Scythe looks like going forward (thanks to the amazing rendering abilities of jtlant).</span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

This version of Scythe is moving away from the glitz-and-glamour of an SE product. Instead, I want him to be more 'real', if you will. The real horrors out in the world (i.e. the scary, menacing monsters that live among us). In this vein, he's more Kane than he is Undertaker. He's had a tortured past and now he's grown into a monster of a man looking to inflict pain and punishment on the world. </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

His mask is supposed to look like he made it himself; finding random burlap (or something) and creating it himself. It's not supposed to look 'put together' -- SE style. This adds to his realistic monster allure. </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

I want to create a character that was more horror, slasher-film-like character than a typical 'wrestler.' That's one of the reasons why I have not booked him in an actual match yet. I want there to be an aura about this guy; removed from the typical wrestling world... a monster dropping in... a monster more than a wrestler (if that makes sense). </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

One detail given recently is the 'angel vs. demon' scene tattooed all over his back. It's supposed to look like a mid-evil inspired depiction of hell vs. heaven in the middle of a war. This massive tattoo goes deeper into his character (his story) and how he perceives the world. I bring that up because it will be a big part of his character going forward.</span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

All in all, I wanted to give you insight into the new version of Scythe after 'unveiling him' at "Nothing to Lose."</span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div>

As a real-life watcher, I would've probably been a tad disappointed by this event because it had some pretty short matches for a PPV, and a very, very controversial ending. You could almost say that the main event's match grade shows this, as the performances were top notch, but the ending was basically what everybody expected, but nobody wanted to see. By the way, I like how you described the ending segment to be a bit awkward to the fans.

That said, as a reader, I don't care about short matches and I like the direction you're moving in. Especially after reading Jerry's thoughts, I totally understand why it makes sense to get the title off Rocky. Now he's free to get fully invested in that storyline with Scythe, and I'm excited to see where you're taking it.

Also, it's good to see that Undeniable got the win here. Losing would've buried the faction already.

Great PPV. Agreed with your end notes that it's not like this makes Remo a weasel champion or anything, he's still a 'legitimate' monster. My own opinion is in line with the SWF crowd in that I would have expected Rogue to win if it was via a very-fast-count. With Remo I would have expected interference, but still to get the win with his finisher and a regular count.

Interested to see where it's going though, particularly with why Eric and Emma wanted Remo as the champion and how this plays in to their own goals.

In my eyes, I see Remo as a Brock Lesnar-type. He's a legitimate bad a$$; whether in action or simply on the screen. Knowing this, while Eric and Emma screwed over everyone else to put the belt on him, Remo still stands out as an intimidating champion. With time, as the story goes, everything will make further sense; however, for now, it was supposed to be somewhat of a 'shock.'

A lot of predictors on the board here had Rocky Golden winning, for good reason. In no way did I put the belt on Remo in which to just add a shock value (as this match was booked before everyone started predicting). It's all part of a bigger plan.

As for Eric and Emma, the SWF is going to take on a different feel now that they've played their 'hand', so to speak. After doing a terrible job of pretending to be 'neutral' and 'out for what's best for the SWF', we now see that they had an underlying game plan all along.

Absolutely. I could see how the IWC would 'poo-poo' on the event as a whole; especially the current landscape of fans in wrestling. That's why, as you said, I wrote the final segment to feel 'awkward' at best. It's not supposed to be a 'yay' moment, by any means. We're blurring the lines of reality with what happened here.

That said, as a reader, I don't care about short matches and I like the direction you're moving in. Yea, the great thing is that we can go full force into Rocky Golden vs. "The Reaper" Scythe. I'm really excited about this storyline going forward!

Also, it's good to see that Undeniable got the win here. Losing would've buried the faction already.

I don't want to 'GOD Push' the faction; however, they need to look strong early on. It's much like when the nWo first grew in power/popularity. They got over because they were beating the hell out of people, by any means necessary.

The great thing is, with Undeniable, the faction is chalked full of amazing talent & star quality. All four of these guys are legitimate superstars and that makes it easier to push them in this manner. If they had a few weak links, then it would be harder to jeopardize other wrestler's overness for someone who doesn't deserve it. In this case, all four deserve the push!

SWF has got a lot of guys I really like, but Hernandez and the Awesomeness are probably my favorites.

Excited to see where Undeniable leads for Mainstream, I figure at some point (likely a ways down the road) the group has to turn on each other, and It'll be interesting to see who the faces are.

I agree that this feels like an actual TV show and I LOVE IT. As a mark, I must say I was disgusted by Nothing to Lose. The title change at the end was shameful. Duane Fry's response there was his best work thus far. Emma Chase's continued bullying of Ana Garcia was great character work. Can not wait until she and Eric Eisen get their's. The change in Scythe is interesting. No more lights out, showing up. The dude came straight through the crowd. I wonder who will challenge Remo. Can't wait til the next show. Keep up the good work.

Sorry for the delay - awesome PPV mate! Remo is such a monster and with Eric and Emma by his side - think we are going to see some really good ratings out of that trio. Undeniable can't be denied no longer - just wondering how you will split them out in terms of titles/positions on the card when the timing is right. Obviously a well oiled unit at the moment, but wonder who takes the next step up first.

Scythe is just amazing. I'm so envious of your character building. It's honestly like I'm in the arena with how you write out your shows and yes I may have thrown a beer can at my computer screen when Eisen screwed Valiant and Golden!

Keep it up man, awesome stuff.

I'm excited for Matty to join the Awesomeness, but I'm not sure how I feel about this new direction with James becoming Hawaiian.

Shoot. I was using them as placeholders and was going to make the change. My bad. I’ll change it up later tonight and have a new version up soon there after. Thanks for the find!

UPDATE: I have made the adjustment and you will now see the pictures for Hawaiian Crush and the Awesomeness (not Brandon James and Matty Faith). Again, thanks to LaEstrella for pointing that out; so, I could fix it.

I don't want to give too much away, as it would spoil SupremeTV next week. That said, there's definitely a reason for why "Hollywood" is currently 'locking horns' with Angry Gilmore. I agree, to your point, that each of these guys should be looking to wrestle as easy of an opponent as possible (getting a better chance to via for the North American Championship). That said, there's method to my madness here. :)

The best way to put it without giving too much away is that Bret Starr, at this point, is more of a 'big game hunter' versus the rest of the Undeniable roster thus far.

The opening segment here is brilliant. Loved the seeds of dissension between Emma Chase and Eric Eisen throughout the show. Rocky Golden continues to be the hero the SWF needs despite the fact that Scythe is really getting to him. Valiant looked really good here, like major player good. Did you simply have nothing for Rogue this week? I missed his persona on the show.

I gave Rogue a paid week off following "Nothing to Lose." This wasn't because he was unhappy or anything. In reality, I wanted to create some distance between Valiant/Remo and him. When he comes back next week, he'll still have a connection to those two (Val and Remo); however, in a different way. This will bridge him toward his newest storyline feud going forward.

I agree though, we had a lot of tough guys and arrogant pricks. We need another smarmy heel to curb the show. :)
