danyp92
It means that when the game makes his calculation to give you the rating of a match it can give more importance to the in-ring action (60:40) or more importance to the popularity (40:60). The one that can give the best rating is the one that is used.

VBigB
I'll give you 2 examples: - lets say you have 2 popular workers that put on a dud of a match. Then the final segment grade will be 40% of the rating of the in-ring action plus 60% of the workers popularity because this would result in a higher final grade. - now flip it...two unpopular wrestlers put on a sensational match. Then the final segment grade would be 60% of the rating of the in-ring action plus 40% of the workers popularity as this would result in a higher final grade. At least that's how I interpret it. Edit: trust someone to beat me to it and explain it better, lol.
Vladamire Dracos
"Matches are rated on a ratio of between 40:60 and 60:40 in-ring action / popularity depending on what gets the best rating" Just need someone to simplify this for me What the workers in the match are more highly rated on together (either match quality or popularity) gives 60% of the match rating, while the other provides 40%. So two extremely popular but poor wrestlers having a match will be rated 60% on their popularity and 40% on match quality. Two unknown but skilled wrestlers having a match will be rated 60% on their match quality and 40% on their popularity. So the best talents for your promotion would be guys who are both popular and skilled, as they're rated on both.
Benno
Am I the only one who finds it frustrating there being nothing front end that tells you whether a match was "good" more because of the crowd or because of the work? I feel like crowd reaction is such an important part of wrestling that isn't obviously reflected at all on screen. Just makes the game feel like chasing numbers on a spreadsheet. How do you mean 'front end'? The results screens as you're running a show give stuff like "In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling..." - is that what you're looking for, or am I misunderstanding you?
