<strong>SWF North American Championship Match</strong></p><p><strong>

Angry Gilmore vs. Lenny Brown ©</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><strong>Duane Fry:</strong> And both men are down after a double clothesline. And the crowd are rallying behind both men here. Despite Gilmore's behavior the fact that his career is on the line in this match seems to have turned the crowd 50/50 for both athletes.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ana Garcia:</strong> Finally these idiots are realizing what an asset Angry Gilmore is here in SWF.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Emma Chase:</strong> Nobody doubts Angry Gilmore's skills, it's his behavior that had turned the fans against him, but nobody wants to see Gilmore lose his career here in this career versus title match. Well apart from probably Lenny Brown.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DF:</strong> Well now both men are getting back to their feet. And are exchanging rights.</p><p> </p><p>

As the two men in the ring exchange fists and the crowd go back and forth chanting for both superstars, Brown starts to get the better of the exchange. But then Gilmore with everything on the line goes for an Anger Management.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DF:</strong> Gilmore going for another Anger Management..................................but Lenny Brown reverses into a Star Treatme......................no.............back into an Anger Management. Lenny is down.</p><p> </p><p>

Gilmore looks like he's going for the pin, but then stops himself and heads to the top rope.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AG:</strong> Gilmore's going for the exclamation point with a Sky High Elbow.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>EC:</strong> Risky but if he hits it, this has to be over.</p><p> </p><p>

Gilmore reaches the top rope and stands tall, then in what seems to be a surprise to those in the booth, Gilmore flips the bird at the SWF logo above their videotron.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DF:</strong> A sign of contentment to the higher ups there.............maybe because he had to put his career on the line for this match.</p><p> </p><p>

Despite Duane Fry's professionalism something suddenly seems different. The rabid fans in attendance latch onto the gesture from Angry Gilmore as he leaps into the air and hits the Sky High Elbow. The crowd cheer before counting with the referee.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

.</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>

3!!!!!!!</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>The crowd become unglued as the bell rings and Gilmore rolls off of Lenny Brown as the referee goes over to get the North American Title belt.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AG:</strong> He's done it. Angry Gilmore is the North American Champion for the fourth time.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>EC:</strong> With his career on the line, he's done it. His first reign coming in 2002 and his fourth reign 17 years later in 2019.</p><p> </p><p>

The referee hands Angry Gilmore the title belt which he slings over his shoulder. Lenny Brown rolls out of the ring as Angry Gilmore gets his hands raised by the referee and then goes over to grab a microphone but suddenly static takes over the video tron and the live PPV feed going to 2 million plus homes across the world. A digitally disguised voice cuts through the static.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">"Congratulations Angry Gilmore. Now the target is on your back."</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>The static continues for a few more seconds before cutting back to Angry Gilmore standing in the ring with his title looking at the videotron. The crowd are now more silent, as if they expect something to happen. Gilmore however laughs and then takes the North American title from his shoulder..................</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DF:</strong> He's just thrown the title out of the ring?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>EC:</strong> What's he doing?</p><p> </p><p>

Gilmore still in the ring brings the microphone to his mouth.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>AG:</strong></span> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">IT'S BEEN YOUR PLEASURE!!!!!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

And with that said, he slides out of the ring and heads to the back, leaving a crowd confused as well as a commentary booth.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The J-Ro Show w/Dread

Sunday Week 3, October 2019

The J-Ro Show

w/Dread

J-Ro: Speaking of SWF, I'm assuming you watched SWF's When Hell Freezes Over.

Dread: (laughing) Yeah, not sure that went exactly how Jerry and Eric Eisen planned it to. Thing is, it was a good show overall but everything was overshadowed by that North American Title Match.

J-Ro: I heard it got a rowdy reaction in the Titan Factory.

Dread: Yeah, we try to watch the big shows together, see what we can learn as well as the fact we are all wrestling fans. But yeah, it will be interesting to see how SWF react to what Tom (Angry Gilmore) did.

J-Ro: Well, I like to keep my ear to the ground here and give the listeners some insight into the world of professional wrestling. And my sources tell me that SWF and Jerry in particular were planning on giving Tom a big storyline as the North American Champion. He was going to go on a long run with the storyline being that he was being hunted by whoever was behind that interuption to his celebration. A bit like that Jack Bruce and Eric Eisen storyline but hopefully they weren't just going to rehash that. They thought that would guarentee that Tom would sign on the dotted line and stay with the company. But it seems like Tom has gone radio silent with the SWF and many believe he's waiting his contract out.

Dread: Maybe he's been tapped up by USPW, they seem to be pretty good at taking disgruntled SWF roster members. But I can't lie..............I was surprised with Tom's actions at When Hell Freezes Over. Everything I know about the man suggests he was a model pro. Ambitious for sure, he wanted to be the top guy. But a model pro none the less. But it seems he'd had enough and really stuck it to SWF after winning their second tier title.

J-Ro: Perhaps that is the issue. It's not the SWF World Title. His last North American title reign was in 2013. 6 years later and he's still fighting for that title. Yes he had his run as the company's No.1 with the World title in 2015 but now they are giving him the NA Title again. If he's ambitious like you said, maybe he doesn't want to go out as a second tier guy.

Dread: True. And he's always been one of the most talented guys in SWF. With so many leaving, maybe he thought he'd get a second shot. But with Rocky Golden coming in and becoming the man, maybe Tom just thought he'd try his luck elsewhere.

J-Ro: And where do you think he'll go? I mean USPW seems like it could be much of the same. TCW he'd have to break the top two of Wolf and Aaron. At 41 where could he go to achieve what it seems like he wants to achieve.

Dread: And that's the mystery. All the places big enough do not seem to have a gap open at the top right now. Maybe some of the Japanese companies could use Tom's help after the way the whole industries gone over there. But Mexico, Canada and the UK, the big companies don't really need him.

J-Ro: Well, hopefully I'll be able to get Tom onto the show some point in the future and I'll see what I can get out of him. But it's fair to say the wrestling world is talking about Tom now, and everyone is waiting to see his next move.

Dread: Well I doubt it will be anything to do with the SWF. Apparently Eric is especially annoyed by Tom going off script.

Oh Lawd, it's Shane Douglas disrespecting the NWA title all over again, isn't it? :D

I may have taken some inspiration from that. :D

What a banger opening. Gilmore is the man and my all time top 2. Good luck to you!!!

Glad I've got a Gilmore fan in the house. Who's your other guy?

Saturday Week 4, October 2019

Casey Valentine's MeTV Channel

Outside USPW's Born In The USA

HAcmGxr.jpg

The Valentine View

y8CWA1R.jpg

After a short intro showing Valentine behind the scenes at shows and traveling the country, the video starts with a shot of Valentine outside the stadium that Born In The USA was being held at, but the stadium was far enough off into the distance that it was away from any crowds. It seemed like the event, or an event was currently happening. Valentine was sitting on a wall, the camera shot just slightly above him to get the stadium into view. Wearing a leather jacket, blue jeans and his trademark shades, he had a smirk with an air of arrogance exuding from him.

Casey Valentine: 6 Years the Cool Hand Casey Valentine has plied his trade in Unsited States Pro Wrestling. And what do I have to show for it? 3x USPW Television title holder. The Television Title!!! That's it.

Casey shakes his head before gesturing to himself with his hands.

CV: I was saddled with my uncle whilst the same old "VETS" held onto the Worl Title scene. And then finally when it seemed like they were going to be sent off to pasture, in come the SWF Boys. Forget the fact that I am as good in the ring as them, as charasmatic as them and most definately the best looking, I get to wallow away in the midcard. And I'm meant to sit there and like it. Meanwhile a guy that joined the company around the same time as me is being line up for a push just because he's a heavyweight and I'm not. Yet I could wrestle rings around Running Wolf with a hand tied behind my back. But he's big and fits their "idea" of what a USPW superstar should look like.

Casey takes a t-shirt from his leather jacket pocket and unfolds it. He reveals it and it's a USPW logo'd t-shirt.

CV: Six years I've given to them and they've given me nothing.Well I'm not being taken advantage of anymore.

Casey throws the shirt on the floor as the camera pans down to it. Casey is no longer in shot but you can hear his movement.

CV: United States Pro Wrestling....................

A liquid falls from the top of the shot onto the USPW Logo'd t-shirt. Then it stops and a match is lit.

CV: IT'S BEEN YOUR PLEASURE!!!!!!

And with the sentence finished, he drops the match onto the t-shirt and it goes up in flames and starts to burn, as the USPW Logo eventually becomes unrecognisable and the shot fades to The Valentine View's end screen.

But as Jay Chord goes for his finisher the Broken Chord, Aaron Andrews manages to reverse it with a last ditch attempt and roll Jay Chord up but instead of going for the pin pushes Chord over who rolls onto his feet and Andrews hits the Aces High.</p><p> </p><p>

The crowd cheer as Aaron Andrews and Jay Chord lay flat on the mat, tired after a 25 minute elimination match between four of the biggest stars in TCW. </p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><strong>JA:</strong> Gilmore………</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KR:</strong> Valentine………</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The announcers say little more as they seem shocked into relative silence as Gilmore and Valentine head towards the ring, both wearing black tops with the initials G.o.D. in bold blood red on them, black jeans and black baseball bats with the same blood red G.o.D. logo across them.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>JA:</strong> This doesn’t look good for one if not both of Aaron Andrews and Jay Chord. They’ve already seemingly taken out Hawkins and Bach, and it seems Andrews and Chord are next.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Andrews and Chord start to get to their feet as Gilmore and Valentine reach the ring and surround it on both sides. As Andrews and Chord reach their feet fully they stare at the two men outside the ring. Andrews looking confused but resolute, Chord looking worried but also ready to fight. Gilmore and Valentine step up onto the apron and then step in. Andrews runs at Gilmore and intercepts him as he steps through the ropes, but Chord runs to an empty side of the ring and slides out of the ring, high tailing it out of there, leaving Casey to step in unopposed.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KR:</strong> That coward Jay Chord has just left Andrews there to fight off the blood hounds.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Gilmore fights his way into the ring and pushes Andrews away from him, causing Andrews to turn and move towards Valentine who cracks him with the end of his bat. Andrews stumbles back.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>JA:</strong> Anger Management. Andrews is down.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>SD:</strong> But they aren’t done. Gilmore is heading to the top. And Valentine is picking Andrews back up……………………DEEP IMPACT by Valentine.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KR:</strong> Sky High Elbow from Gilmore. This is too much.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

With Aaron Andrews now laid out in the middle of the ring. Valentine and Gilmore stand either side of him having picked up their baseball bats. They cock the bats like they are shotguns and then either side of Andrews point their bats at Andrews prone body as their music kicks back in and the music and PPV feed fade to black.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<p>Quick Update</p><p> </p><p>

Sorry I've not updated this and also thanks to the Mod that changed the title of the thread.</p><p> </p><p>

So, I'd love to say my situation changed or there was a reason that I've not updated recently but the truth is, I'm struggling to motivate myself to write a whole show. I have stories in mind but not for the whole roster so as soon as I get to a match or to angles that I'm not invested in, I lose my interest in writing those segements.</p><p> </p><p>

For example, my opening segment for the next show is around G.o.D and is around two pages on word. Had no lack of motivation writing that. Then it came to plans for the International Title and I've written about a page and that's taken the majority of this time to even get through and isn't exactly my best work.</p><p> </p><p>

So, in an effort to continue and tell the G.o.D. story and other stories I am invested in, I'm going to do more of a recap style for TV shows and PPV's and only write out in more detail the segments I'm invested in. Yes, this will make it quiet obvious who I'm pushing and care about and who are just part of the roster but for me, this was always about telling stories when I planned to write this dynasty and not necessarily about rating or growing the company.</p><p> </p><p>

Hopefully people can get on board with this change in approach and hopefully it works out and you'll be seeing and update from me shortly.</p>

The Pro Wrestling Reporter

Total Wrestling Week 4 Report

Well first off, hello everyone. If you don’t know who I am, I’m J-Ro Joanne Rodriguez, former pro-wrestler and former AAA Femme Fatale and 5SSW All-Asian Champion and host of the biggest podcast around pro-wrestling, Behind the Curtain. So what better marriage in pro-wrestling reporting is there than a marriage between The Pro Wrestling Reporter the biggest Dirt-Sheet in Pro-Wrestling and Behind the Curtain, the biggest podcast.

So thank you Greg Sluchinski for the opportunity. You are now looking at the PWR’s reporter for the big promotions shows in the United States. Because Greg loves the independent scene too much to let me write about that.

And what an exciting time for me to come into the game, as it seems TCW have either been planning behind the scenes something big or they are just lucking into a hot storyline by chance. If you have been listening to Behind the Curtain you’ll know I’ve been fascinated with the story brewing around Angry Gilmore’s final SWF match and Casey Valentine’s The Valentine View MeTV video where he denounced USPW outside their Born in the USA PPV. And the whole “It’s Been Your Pleasure” storyline seems to have been targeting TCW’s Malice in Wonderland PPV that was Main Evented by TCW’s big four for the TCW World Title. “The Ace” Aaron Andrews retained but then Angry Gilmore who will now be known as TA Gilmore and Casey Valentine took out three of the four big four minus Jay Chord in what was one of TCW’s best done segments ever, and that’s not a knock on anything they’ve done before.

And now I get to report on the Total Wrestling show after Malice In Wonderland.

All my Christmas’s have come at once.

RDJ Is Back

And we kick off the show with the familiar music of RDJ. The Cowboy is back and is the new Sheriff in town. Not exactly sure what that means just yet but it seems he now wields the power to book the promotion storyline wise. And apparently his hiring is a reaction to the arrival of the G.o.D. pairing of TA Gilmore and Casey Valentine. RDJ declares TCW the home of the real wrestling in the United States and warns G.o.D. that they will now be allowed to run rough shot through TCW.

Which is of course when G.o.D’s music hits and TA and Casey are shown in the crowd in G.o.D. gear and baseball bats to hand. They use the bats to point to the videotron which goes to static and shows the hooded figure at a control center. The person referred to as the hacker tells RDJ that G.o.D. will not be silenced and then goes on to highlight the careers and talents of TA and Casey before a bit of a cryptic bit about the Hacker being a trail blazer that never got their moment. The Hacker then ends with the fact that the three of them won’t let their career path be dictated to them anymore.

Then “The Ace” Aaron Andrews comes out and is heated. He wants G.o.D. but RDJ says it’s two on one and he’s not about booking handicap matches. So he gives Andrews a week to find a tag team partner, setting up the main event for next week.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: A good segment and all involved performed their parts well. I’m personally of the opinion that TA and Casey should be given the promo spotlight so I’m praying the Hacker is an important cog or another big name cause otherwise surely the shine should just be given to TA and Casey. But great segment overall.

Freddy Huggins © vs. Human Arsenal

TCW International Title

First match of the night was a good match with the reinstated International Title on the line with Champion Freddy Huggins defending against the man he beat for the title at Malice in Wonderland in Human Arsenal. Apparently Authorised by RDJ due to Laura’s distraction at Malice. Freddy tried every heelish trick in the book but the referee was alert due to knowing the circumstances of the Malice match, which was a nice touch. This seemed to give Human Arsenal the upper hand until Laura’s music hit, but she didn’t come out and with the ref and Human Arsenal distracted, Freddy hit a low blow and then rolled Human Arsenal up for the win and retained his title.

RDJ Backs Mighty Mo

After the match Ricky Dale Johnson came out flanked by Mighty Mo who lost his bid for the tag titles at Malice with Tana the Mighty. If this means Mighty Mo breaks away from Tana I’m all for it as they have been a horrible tag team with no chemistry what so ever. RDJ berates Freddy for again taking the cheap way out. He then promotes Mo’s performance at Malice, almost at the expense of Tana. RDJ finished by saying there’s going to be plenty of young and hungry talent like Mo gunning for Freddy Huggins now he’s in charge before Mo makes his way down to the ring.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Tana is a lovely guy and he seemed to be getting a push by TCW recently but this seemed to go against that, promoting Mighty Mo as the big performer from their match at Malice. Hopefully this isn’t the end of Tana’s push but I’m happy to see the end of Mighty Meaty.

Mighty Mo vs. Matt Hocking

Well, this was better than I was expecting. Mighty Mo is obviously due a big push and Matt Hocking has kind of been in limbo as TCW try to figure out what to do with him. But despite the outcome of this match being painfully obvious it was as good as the Huggins versus Arsenal match which is surprising as Huggins and Arsenal are a lot more experienced. Mighty Mo picks up a dominant victory in this one to build momentum towards presumably a TCW International Title Opportunity.

Sinner Society & Devine Fortune

Next up was a backstage promo by Sinner Society with Eddie Peak and Floyd Goldworthy taking the lead and the three hoss’s Killer Shark, Titan and Nick Booth looking menacing behind them. They congratulated themselves about seemingly ending the tag team of Mighty Meaty but where then interrupted by Devine Fortune who are coming off their win over The Elite. They insinuate that it’s Killer Shark carrying the load and that without Killer Shark the Behemoths wouldn’t be tag team champions. They are wise to get out of dodge quickly after saying this, before the Behemoths could respond in the way the usually would.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: I’ve always thought Floyd Goldworth was a strange fit in the Sinner Society. I got why he was put as the managers of The Behemoths when they started but now surely as they’ve joined the sinner society, Floyd should have parted ways and Eddie Peak should have just taken over. Either way this was passable.

TCW Television Title

We then had Greg Gauge defending his Television Title against Jimmy Foxx. Having seen his way past Benny Benson recently it seems like Gauge is just going through tag team guys in his TV title defences recently. Another win for Gauge in another pretty good match.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: To make my opinions clear, I’m not a fan of Television Titles. The concept doesn’t appeal to me and in my view eliminates certain heels from winning it cause they are meant to be defended regularly on television. But if your going to have someone defend a title consistently, then I can think of much worse than Greg Gauge.

Sammy Bach confronts Jay Chord

We go backstage where Jasmine Saunders interviews Jay Chord about Malice In Wonderland and how he came so close to winning the TCW World Title. Jay Chord says in a one on one he’d beat Aaron Andrews and his time will come. Conversation moves to G.o.D. as Jasmine asks why Jay didn’t stand up to G.o.D. and why they didn’t seem to go after him. Jay Chord says he has nothing to do with the G.o.D. and it’s none of his concern. This is when Sammy Bach comes into shot questions Chord himself. Chord continues to deny any involvement with G.o.D. but Sammy Bach isn’t about to trust his word and says to Chord that if Chord wants everyone to believe him, then he should let his actions speak louder than his words can.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Some intrigue here but it feels like Chord is too obvious now with the way this story is being told. Seems like G.o.D. is being used to extend the Chord and Bach storyline for now.

Tana The Mighty vs. Wolf Hawkins

Tana doesn’t have as much success as his old tag team partner, which is to be expected facing Wolf Hawkins in a singles match. Wolf dominates and gets back some of his momentum from the lose at Malice In Wonderland as the commentators remind everyone Wolf is the King of Kings and has the guaranteed main event title shot at Total Mayhem as he picks up the victory in a good match.

Wolf Hawkins reminds everyone who the King of Kings is

This was filler, and I’m assuming a way of writing Wolf away from the G.o.D. program, at least for now. He just reminds everyone that no matter what happens between now and Total Mayhem, he is the King of Kings and the best in TCW.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: It was filler, but it was Wolf. Amazing what he can do with little to actually work with.

Fro-Sure & T-Bone Bright vs. The Elite

This was the type of squash match I like. It was clear who was going to win but the match was made sure to highlight the good points of T-Bone Bright and new signing Fro-Sure. But Despite the pretty usual babyface comeback near the end. The Elite dominated this one and took a convincing victory after their defeat to Chance Fortune at Malice.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: There’s rumours making the rounds that TCW will focus on Stables a lot more this year and T-Bone Bright and new signing Fro-Sure seem to be a pairing with that in mind in the near future. Also a lot backstage seem to be high on T-Bone so I imagine he’ll be going places and maybe taking Fro-Sure with him. But against the Elite it was always too early for them to get the win in this one. The Syndicate and the Elite by proxy seem to be in a weird place of flux but The Elite still pick up the win in an okay match.

Now some limelight on TA as he is seen backstage, and deliberately walks into a passing by Dazzling Dave Diamond. Dave goes to protest but immediately gets sucker punched before being taken out completely and left laying in a heap of production gear backstage. TA looks towards the camera and repeats a similar message to Casey, saying the clever move would be to give G.o.D. a wide birth.

Also backstage we see Greg Gauge getting ready to leave the arena for the night with his bags in hand. He crosses Danny Donzarelli who calls out to him and in the most un-Fonzarelli way tells the youngster he might want to be a bit more respectful, or someone might decide to teach him a lesson and take that title from him. Greg Gauge just smirks and says “I hope you don’t think you mean yourself their Fonz!” before leaving the arena.

Aaron Andrews © vs. Jay Chord

In a rematch of the last two from Malice In Wonderland, Jay Chord attempts to prove his superiority over Aaron Andrews. The match was about as good as you can get with 15 minutes worth of wrestling. Both wrestlers controlled the match at various times, with close pinfalls coming from around the 10 minute mark onwards. In the end Aaron Andrews would pick up the win to keep his momentum high.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: No disrespect to Aaron Andrews but Jay Chord just came across as a star in this match. His performance was flawless and he is riding some serious momentum. If I was booking I’d be tempted to strike while the iron is hot but I know the build is towards Wolf and Aaron at their big show. Maybe Aaron just wasn’t on his game but as far as in ring work Jay made him look average tonight. Still an amazing TV match that everyone should go and watch.

G.o.D. Stand Tall Again

The match was over but before either competitor could get their bearings, G.o.D’s music hit as out from the back, G.o.D. branded bats in hand walk out TA Gilmore and Casey Valentine. Both Aaron and Jay get back to their feet, Jay seemingly more prepared to stand tall with Aaron this time around as he doesn’t leave the ring. G.o.D reach the bottom of the ramp and point their bats at both competitors before sliding in the ring for a face off. Then T.A. hits Aaron Andrews but Casey doesn’t go for Chord. Both then cock their bats as if they were shotguns and point directly down at Aaron Andrews before leaving the ring, leaving a confused Jay Chord in the ring.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Perhaps this was too telegraphed, and too obvious to the TCW crowd but this didn’t get the type of reaction that it did at Malice In Wonderland. That’s not to say the people didn’t play their parts well, but maybe the confusion around Jay Chord’s role in this made the crown a little less hot to this segment. Or maybe the fans were just happy with a great match and didn’t want the ending segment that didn’t seem to progress the storyline in any massive way. As we already knew G.o.D. are after Aaron and don’t seem to be after Jay Chord. But I’m willing to give TCW the benefit of the doubt if this is leading somewhere.

SHOW RATING

83

Final Thoughts: Great show, with probably better wrestling than the PPV it followed as not all the main figures were in one match. Main event was super strong but ending segment fell flatter than at the PPV. Either way TCW seem to be hitting a stride as this is their second overall home run of a show, after seemingly starting January off slowly which maybe cause a lot of their attention storyline wise was focused on this G.o.D. angle.

The Pro Wrestling Reporter

Total Wrestling Week 1 February Report

Some admin before we kick off with my 2nd covered TCW Total Wrestling Show. Some big news coming out of camp Total as they seem to be aggressively trying to grow to either the No.2 or No.1 Company in the world.

Kyle Rhodes has announced on the TCW website that Saturday Night Showcase is making a return to our television screens with Maple Leaf Sports and ACE picking up coverage of the new show as well as TCW Total Wrestling. This should give the less utilized workers in TCW some TV time.

But on top of that also Kyle Rhodes announced that due to reinvestment in the product by the Brico Toy Company, TCW has launched the Total Wrestling Network, which will cover all TCW events and being available in the US, Canada, Mexico, Japan and the British Isles. The one exception is Saturday Night Showcase in the United States which ACE has exclusive rights to broadcast in the US.

And finally, included in what will be covered by the Total Wrestling Network is Pro-Wrestling Emerald, a newly launched development brand for TCW. What this means for TCW’s working relationship with MAW is yet to be seen but I now expect TCW to go on a signing spree with an eye to the future of their company.

So exciting times both with the product and with the company as a whole as we look towards the first Total Wrestling of February in 2020.

Sammy Bach Taken Out

Before we even get the usual show kick off, with the commentary team and the Total Wrestling Music and a shot of the crowd, we actually start the show outside the arena with Sammy Bach arriving at the Stadium, and walking from his car to the arena. But before he gets inside, he is stopped by TA Gilmore and Casey Valentine.

TA:[/] You’ve been throwing accusations around Sammy, with no proof. That’s not very clever. That’ll get you noticed and get you in trouble.

TA and Casey then smack their G.o.D. baseball bats against their palms as Sammy Bach drops his bags to the floor.

SB: Well………….it’s not like I’m not used to getting myself into trouble.

Sammy Bach attempts to throw the first shot but he is soon overwhelmed by G.o.D. who are relentless in their attack as both pummel him down and then both hit their finishers onto the hard concrete floor.

CV: Keep accusing Jay Chord of being part of us, maybe we will just do his dirty work for him to teach you a lesson. Don’t assume……………….you make an ass out of you and me will have to deal with it.

G.o.D. leave Sammy Bach down and out as they head into the arena.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Hot storyline start to the show that attempted to keep whether or not Jay Chord is part of G.o.D. a mystery despite G.o.D. claiming he isn’t. Gilmore and Valentine are literally two of the hottest performers in the business right now, riding a massive wave of momentum and it’s rubbing off on the other top performers in the company. Sammy sold this attack well and this kicked off the show nicely. I’m not sure the top of the TCW card has looked this hot in a long time.

Flying Jimmy Foxx vs. Jay Chord

The show then transitioned to Jay Chord’s entrance, a nice bit of foreshadowing potentially as he faced Flying Jimmy Foxx in the opening match.

Flying Jimmy Foxx played the babyface well, getting in some offence but Jay Chord was in control for most of it and picked up the win.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Got to keep Jay Chord strong but Flying Jimmy proves his worth again, as he had a good match with Greg Gauge last week and now a really great match to keep Jay’s momentum going to open this show. He’s proving his worth and maybe someone high up will take notice with these performances.

Jay Chord is not with G.o.D.

After the match Jasmine Saunders gets into the ring to interview Jay Chord. Jasmine asks Jay about his issues with Sammy Bach which Jay is happy to discuss but the interview turns sour when Jasmine asks Jay about his affiliation with G.o.D.

JC: Let me make it crystal clear Jasmine, for you, for these sheep in the arena, for the lazy people watching at home and for that washed up has been Sammy Bach. I have nothing to do with G.o.D. I’m Jay Chord, I don’t need a group behind me. At Malice I didn’t see the need to fight with a group that don’t seem to have an issue for me. I want to be TCW World Champion. Not some saviour standing up to the big bad G.o.D. So let Aaron fight them all he wants then I’ll pick up the pieces. As for Sammy, I will put you to pasture. That’s unless G.o.D. get you first. Because they clearly don’t seem to appreciate people making accusations and being conspiracy theorists and neither do I.

Jasmine goes to ask some more questions but Jay Chord calls it on the interview and leaves the ring.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: It’s nice to see an interviewer interview wrestlers. Gives it a legitimate sport feel a bit like GAMMA which I know is a goal of TCW.

Most Excellent (Bart Biggins & Elliot Thomas) vs. The Behemoths

The New Pairing of Bart Biggins and Elliot Thomas looked to start off their tag run with a big win here but were out of their depth against the giants of Killer Shark and Titan who steamrolled through them despite Most Excellent’s plucky effort.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Typical “We don’t know what to do with these guys, so lets stick them together and see what happens” approach here with Elliot Thomas and Bart Biggins. To be fair Elliot shows some promise as a plucky underdog so this could work out for him. Meanwhile Killer Shark and Titan are still being pushed super strong as a unit despite fans clamouring for a Killer Shark solo run. I’m not sure if these two have much to offer outside the tag ranks though..

This was a very good bout that showed Tana’s usefulness and the rise of Freddy Huggins as a competitor. Freddy as always used every trick under the sun than he could with Laura in his corner too. Eventually the distractions were too much and Freddy picked up the win.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: My issue with this is Tana losing two in a row when I think he could be a player for TCW if used correctly. Second week in a row he loses and yes it is Huggins and Hawkins but I’d have liked a win in between.

After the match Freddy Huggins is brought a microphone by Laura Huggins and he starts to run into Tana whilst he’s down, telling him that he’s wasting his time pandering to fans and spending time with the rookies cause they are the only ones that will take him seriously. Before Freddy can say anymore, Mighty Mo runs out and Freddy Huggins is quick to exit stage left.

The Elite vs. Fro-Sure & T-Bone Bright

This time the tag team of Fro-Sure and T-Bone did better, seemingly having learned from their previous bout with the Elite. However the Elite are veterans and whilst this match was more back and forth, The Elite still picked up the victory.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Not the usual trade of wins here, as Elite pick up the win again. But T-Bone and Fro-Sure are benefiting from these matches. Maybe they win the third..

G.o.D. Promo against Aaron Andrews & One Man Army

G.o.D. appear on the screen outside the arena. They cut a promo on their opponents Aaron Andrews and One Man Army. They congratulate Andrews on finding a tag team partner that they haven’t beaten up……………yet. They tell OMA that he doesn’t want to be a part of this war, because G.o.D. is the Army that will come out victorious and that he’s picked the wrong side in a game were Aces are low. Tonight G.o.D. proves their dominance.

Wolf Hawkins vs. Dean Daniels

Again Wolf Hawkins comes out for a match and beats someone a lot lower down the card. However cause it’s Wolf and a vet like Dean Daniels the match still comes out really well.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Here’s to hoping this is just a transition phase for Wolf because he could be being used much more effectively..

Aaron Andrews & One Man Army vs. Glory or Death

Tag Team match in the main event saw Aaron Andrews and his partner One Man Army face off against G.o.D. Aaron Andrews was heated and went straight for Casey Valentine who started but it seemed like G.o.D. had prepared for that. They soon took his aggression and allowed it to manifest into a mistake and they cornered him off from his tag team partner OMA. Aaron Andrews would get a hot tag to One Man Army that was presented well but his performance just wasn’t on the same level as the other three. It turned into a back and forth battle but Aaron Andrews would pick up the win over Casey Valentine for the victory.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: Another great main event. I’d have prefer G.o.D to go over here but what happened next made up for their defeat.

G.o.D. Expand

Literally as soon as the match was over two hooded figures jump the guard rail and attack Aaron Andrews and One Man Army. Gilmore soon joins them and then Casey Valentine does the same. The four men beat down Andrews and OMA until they are laid out in the middle of the ring. All four men then get baseball bats and point them down towards their victims. It’s at this time the two men with their hoods , take those hoods off.

J-Ro’s Thoughts: So G.o.D. expands adding two TCW Heels to their numbers. Think this is good as long as the focal point is still TA and Casey. Both Troy and Joshua have been touted at one time or another as future World Champions but have both only one International Title to their title history in TCW so they are good fits. And the angle came off really well again.

SHOW RATING

85

Final Thoughts: Another great show, all though it did have it’s let downs at times. Whilst I do complain about things like Hawkins and Tana’s use, overall the product is very good right now and I’d suggest TCW are running the best Television shows of the top 3..
