d12345
It would be really cool if we were able to pre-book matches with mystery partners/opponents. This would be a great way to simulate things like Hulk Hogan joining the nWo at Bash At The Beach '96. That show was build as Nash, Hall and a mystery partner vs Sting, Macho Man, and Lex In game I'm thinking just allowing us to save a pre-booking built like the image below and have the drawing power of the announced workers applied:
LloydCross
This would also be handy for when the plan is to have somebody squash a local worker, but you can't hire them until day of.
Blackman
<p>Someone else just <a href="http://greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546898" rel="external nofollow">made a post about this</a>. This made this suggestion a lot more relevant as mystery opponents are definitely a thing.</p><p> </p><p> I'm not sure about the ramifications for gameplay though. If it's a mystery opponent, it can theoretically be The Rock, so the hype level should be the maximum amount. But if it's anyone else (and it probably is) that could lead to disappointment, and would somehow backfire in the rating of the show. The feature would somehow have to set an expected bar, and if it turns out to be some local dude you'd lose hype or take a penalty. Because if it ends up being Goldberg squashing someone: not a lot of hype there.</p><p> </p><p> Anyhow: I would definitely use this if it became a thing (but again: bit OP <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)</p>

It would add more flexibility if you end up having to make a last minute change instead of having to take a penalty for failing to deliver the exact match pre-booked.</p>
The Nickman
I would use this a lot for booking something like the Royal Rumble. Throughout January I always have qualification matches, and once someone qualifies you could add them to the pre-booking.

Because if it ends up being Goldberg squashing someone: not a lot of hype there. I don't think it should be the max per se. I think for the purposes of the game it should just be the draw of whoever is announced. Remember the whole downside of a mystery opponent as oppose to announcing the full match is that you can't sell tickets based off of the name of the mystery opponent. For example what if AEW announced that next week Kenny Omega will wrestle a mystery opponent. You wouldn't automatically assume that it was The Rock. Conversely you wouldn't be disappointed if it wasn't The Rock. I do get what you're saying though and I think a good way to penalize you for pre booking a match that ended up having a disappointing mystery opponent would be by adding a booking penalty to the segment. Something like "The crowd was disappointed in the opponent reveal." That way we can pre-book our TBD Royal Rumbles
HarryFandango86
I like to have ‘surprises’ in the rumble. I usually search unemployed people for some random guy to throw in. It would be handy if we could leave it at ‘to be announced’ it’s a good idea.
