Questions

 

I have a couple of questions:

 

1. I started a save before the switch to the new GIF profile pictures. I really dig the style, so I would like to switch my save over to the new pics, but I can't seem to find an easy way to do it (besides just going one by one).

Am I missing something?

 

2. Since I'm using an older version of the mod, is there some kind of list of the new workers added to the database?

Because I would love to import them into my save.

 

EDIT: In general, I would love to see patch notes, to easily identify what has been added or modified. If it's not too much trouble, of course! <3

An option might be to export the database at the begining of a month, change to your newly made database, in the editor make sure the database is pointing at the correct picture folder, still in editor change the drop down for section to workers, under mass edit drop down change to Pictures become "Their Name.gif" and click mass edit. then start the game using your new database and you should be able to mostly continue from where you left off, I say mostly as I'm pretty sure that any storylines you had running will be gone and any negotiations will be gone.</p><p> </p><p> 2. As long as people's default names aren't changed you can mass import everyone and it'll just import newly added people and others you'll just get told something like "Error (insert name here) already exists in the database.</p><p> </p><p> So I guess long story short unless you are really attached to your save it might be easier to start anew, but there are options.</p>

You can see it in the office, under "creative -> product".</p>

You get an error for those already in your save when importing but it will continue to import those that are not duplicates, unfortunately I don't have any patch notes.

 

That doesn't work. The errors seem to cancel the importing process.

These two seem to be on my copy of July 2020 1.0, on NXT and NXT UK respectively. Maybe they got released on your save, take a look at the database editor.
