How long have you had the U.S. Tag & T.V. Championships for? I just got to 86 in my game and have the U.S. Tags and am planning on a WM II debut for them.

Off and on since 87 or 88.  I usually retire them when my tag division slows down (5-6 teams) and I bring them back when I have 7+. That way my younger teams can earn some gold and good experience before fighting for the World Tag.

I’ve retired them at least 3x each

I love reading your posts. You're my hero when it comes to TEW , my longest save is just over 2 years. I'm curious about Bundy winning the TV title, did he beat Vader? was it heel vs heel?

Thanks, I greatly appreciate the feedback and love answering questions about all my saves.  I would love to do a dynasty but not enough time with work and family.  TEW is my favorite game of all time and I love long term booking, even though sometimes the save drags or is boring for a little bit.

Quick backstory:  This save started as me booking WCCW (1970/Territory Daze) until 1973 when I formed my own promotion Chicago Wrestling.  Chicago Wrestling grew and turned into Great Lakes Championship Wrestling until I reached medium (where I am now) and changed the name to World Championship Wrestling.

Vader/Brody Story

Brody’s WWWF deal came up in the middle of 1985, he didn’t sign with anyone, so I picked him up. I didn’t have anything for him though.  Vader was in my developmental and coming along nicely so I figured, why not have Brody give Vader the rub.

I debuted Vader and Brody as a tag team interfering in the LOD vs. Brian Buster main event tag title match at WCW Presents: BEACH BLAST (July 85).  Right away, they were inserted into the main event.

I put Vader in the TV title division as well and made him an undefeated monster.  The problem though, he wouldn’t drop the television belt to anyone because they were 30 or 40 popularity points below him (He went from 20 popularity to mid 80s within a year)  So I decided, lets have him go on a monster run.  He beat all other monsters and youngsters (Bundy, Dutch Mantel, Kamala, Cactus Jack, Great Muta, Masa Chono).  I kept Bundy booked strong though.  Vader and Bundy would CLASH.

Meanwhile, Bruiser Brody is feuding with Ted Dibiase, Abdullah the Butcher, and trying to win the WCW World Heavyweight Title from Harley Race and then Ric Flair but could never capture the belt (Brody is a former World Champion, but not WCW,

As the above is happening, Vader and Brody also won the tag belts and feuded with LOD, Brain Busters, British Bulldogs (before Dynamite left), and many other teams.  They dropped the belts a few months back.

Around March 86, I started having Brody and Vader have communication errors and botched interferences in matches.  At “Clash of Champions 17 (May 86), Vader cost Brody a number one contender match against Flair at the June PPV (Great American Bash).

At “June - Great American Bash 86”, Vader and Brody teamed to take on Paul Orndorff and Ted Dibiase in a loser leaves town match.  Vader refused to tag Brody in, because Vader wanted to prove he could do it himself.  Brody eventually left the ring and walked to the back.  Vader defeated both Orndorff and Dibiase (Orndorff signed with WWWF and Dibiase with JCP).

At “July - Bash at the Beach 86”  Vader was getting ready to hit the Vader Bomb on Bundy when Brody walked out.  Vader got distracted and missed the Vader Bomb.  The match continued and King Kong Bundy finally conquered Vader for the WCW TV Championship.

The plan is for Vader and Brody to officially split in September.  Vader will retire Brody at “WCW Presents The Classic (Dec) in the finals of the “The Classic”.  Vader will then win “Slamboree” in April 87 for a match with Ric Flair at WCW’s biggest show “Great American Bash 87”

Just finished year 1 in my newest TCW save.  Here's how things stand at the start of 2021.

TCW World Heavyweight Champion: Wolf Hawkins

Defeated Aaron Andrews at Total Mayhem XXIV to become a 4-Time TCW World Champion.

TCW International Champion: Randy Unleashed

Won the Tournament that revived the International Championship in November 2020, defeating Greg Keith (Gauge) in the Finals at TCW Threatening Behavior.

TCW Television Champion: Masked Cougar

Defeated Greg Keith at Total Mayhem XXIV to win the championship.  Currently scheduled to drop the championship to Primus Allen at Malice in Wonderland (January 2021).

TCW World Women's Champion: Missy Masterson

Won the inaugural tournament in January 2021, defeating Tiffany Jade in the finals.

TCW World Tag Team Champions: The Wild Cats (El Jaguar & Tigre Salvaje Jr.)

Defeated Pocket Aces (Joshua Taylor & Roderick Remus) in December 2020 at the King of Kings PPV.

And here are some accomplishments that happened throughout the TCW 2020 Year.

2020 Ticket To Mayhem Match: Wolf Hawkins

Pretty blatantly my Money in the Bank match.  Takes place at the PPV Where Angels Fear To Tread, and the winner earns the right to challenge for the TCW World Title at Total Mayhem.

2020 Lethal Lottery Tournament Winners: Masked Cougar & Sammy Bach

It's an 8 Tag Team Tournament where all 16 competitors are randomly slotted.  A one-night tournament that took place at TCW Hotter Than Hell in July 2020.

2020 King of Kings: Sammy Bach

The annual one-night tournament at the end of each year, setting up one wrestler big for the year to come.  Me personally, I like to do the best 8 wrestlers, judged by the least amount of losses for the entire year, with a minimum of 30 wins in TCW.

I'm currently using Sammy's KoK Tournament win to ignite a major feud with Wolf Hawkins over the World Title, leading all the way to the main event of Total Mayhem XXV.  This is the first game I played in TEW2020 where Bach wasn't immediately in decline, so I'm taking advantage of the situation.  Plus, he is my top babyface all-around, and easily my best merchandise seller.

The story is simple.  After winning the KoK Tournament, Bach has taken a long look at himself.  At the age 42, Sammy doesn't know how much time he has left.  How much longer can he compete at such a high level?  Before it is all over, Sammy is determined to do the one thing he hasn't done.  Win the TCW World Heavyweight Championship.  But to do so, he must dethrone the greatest wrestler in professional wrestling, Wolf Hawkins.  Wolf, and his dominant stable, The Syndicate.

- In JCP, The Annual Crockett Cup was held. A Road Warriors final against Midnight Express was originally planned but the Road Warriors refused to lose to them so there was a running change with the Midnight Express to take on the team of Jimmy Snuka and the Ultimate Warrior. Midnight Express won

An update on the old 5SSW game.

5SSW May 2027

5SSW World Champion - Hoshiko Tagawa [defeated Lucy Stone-McFly at Joshimania 32]
The last remaining member of "The New ANTI" after everyone else(Nakajima, Tai, Kijmuta) retired or defected(Kasahara). Now she leads her own stable(Tagawa-gun) which is more or less a spiritual successor to the new ANTI as the top heel faction in 5SSW. The feud between Tagawa and McFly lasted since the middle of the previous year and culminated in a 89 rated main event match which is pretty good considering Hoshiko Tagawa isn't known as a show stopper.

5SSW All Asian Champion - Etsuko Arihyoshi [defeated Ingegard David(gen wrestler) at Queendom Parade 2026]
An year-long reign in what is Etsuko's last run. She's soon to be 38 and has announced her retirement the month before. The plan is for her to drop it at the main event of the J Grand Prix which is the last PPV before her retirement is due.

5SSW Triangle Champion - K.T Devonshire [defeated Eri Sato and Sarah "Breaker" Taylor at Joshimania 32]
Former Katya Kornishkova. I decided to have her wrestle under her real name and a different kind of character. She is still pretty young this far into the game and I see big things ahead of her.

5SSW Tag Team Champions - The Miyoshi Sisters(Emiko Miyoshi & Shiromi Miyoshi) [defeated The Musketeers(Miwako Katsukawa & Romi Yamato) at Big Crush 2027]
The Miyoshis continue to be the cornerstone of the tag division. They have been carrying it ever since the team got formed. Now beating two veterans in a ladder match that saw Yamato's former friend, Machiko Matsuda, screw her by preventing that she stopped the Miyoshis from grabbing the belts. Yamato and Matsuda did face each other at Joshimania 32 in a bout that Yamato emerged victorious.
