Agreed, this Tobei looks a tad more realistic but also a bit too serene. Figured I'd share anyway, hoping these spur you on to continue, would be a huge shame for this diary to stop!

Nobuyuki Kubo is a 2019 graduate of BCG's Roaring Lion Dojo. A good prospect, he's everything a modern worker should be - he's athletic, agile, and well-versed in both grappling and striking. He's particularly noted for using a lot of knee strikes in his ring work, including his finisher which is a brutal running knee to the side of a downed opponent's head.

Even though a True Born BCG prospect, Kubo controversially walked out on the promotion after a major fallout with BCG's new Head Booker PRIDE Koiso (BCG founder Yoshifusa Maeda died in March 2020 after which WEXXV alumni Motoichi Arakida took over the company and replaced then head booker Masayuki Shiga with PRIDE Koiso). Following the ownership change, several other talented BCG workers have either quit, walked out or signed with BHOTWG (SUKI, Mabuchi Furusawa, Tanyu Toshusai & Big Bruiser Findlay).

Sumiyuki Samura is a young Japanese talent who came through the WWA: Japan training facility. He started working the independent circuit in 2017 and quickly gained attention for his natural charisma, showmanship, and high flying move set. A perfect match for EXODUS 2010, it was no surprise that they swooped in and signed him in the summer of 2018. Samura has fit onto the roster perfectly and is definitely someone the company have high hopes for.

Back in February 2020, Sumiyuki suffered a Strained Rotator Cuff after a botched move from Tatsu Kajahara and was out for almost three months. After starting a fight over the injury and souring the backstage morale, WEXX decided to fire the injured Samura over the incident. This incident was only the first of many to come in the following years, as WEXX head booker Tatsu Kajahara became known to rule the promotion with iron fist. Yet, after 1½ years, Samura was approached again and it seems that bygons are bygones.

Hidetoshi Chino is a Psychopath, trained at Project Arkham School, who turned pro in May 2020. He is 6'4 and 308lbs and is superb as a heel. He comes across as a swaggering, cocky character. He utilises the 'Running High Knee' as a finisher.

Is currently out with a Torn Quad and thus had to relinguish his WEXX Blood Brothers championship belt, as Kinji Akamatsu replaced him, continuing his and Kubo's reign as the tag champs.

"The Work Of Art" Kaito Doan is a rising star of Japanese wrestling who came through WLW's Project Arkham School, making his professional debut for them in 2018. Initially used as a young boy, Doan soon showed enough promise that he was allowed to express himself more freely - adopting a hyper-hyper-hyper swaggering persona, Doan is rapidly turning into one of the most entertaining solo acts in the entire company. Still very inexperienced, WLW are nonetheless very clearly starting the process of grooming him for a top spot one day.

Koichi Kajiwara is a former professional rugby player from Japan who moved to wrestling after a bad knee injury ended his playing career. He has a big, thick 275lb physique that gives him a powerful edge and a lot of his ring style is based around him simply running through opponents using raw strength. The downside to him is that his knee injury has seriously reduced his mobility and he is often criticised for being too one-dimensional in his work. He joined WEXXV in April 2007 and quickly established himself as a solid member of the roster, notably as a death match worker (winning the King Of Death Matches title three times) and in the tag team ranks where his "Forlorn Hope" tag team with Zeshin Makioka won the tag team straps twice. He occasionally works the independent scene post-WEXXV, but his bum knee looks likely to see him retire sooner rather than later.

Worked several matches in 2020 but now makes only sporadical appearances in-ring.

<p>Well that's odd. I was so excited for this diary but I think I really, really have to make it different from my previous work. Since I started the diary, I've only advanced one week in-game. Whereas before, the two years in-game time went by like a blast. This diary has totally halted my amazing save and I'm not sure I want that to happen.</p><p> </p><p>

So I'm probably trying something new with the diary. More from the behind-the-scenes, watcher-esque kinda thing and not kayfabe-storyline thing. As it is still in it's heart, a RTG save. Match write-ups and angles are quite boring in the end and I had such a white hot momentum going on in that game that it would be shame for it to slow down the way it did.</p><p> </p><p>

So yeah. I might be done with the whole "guess the card", full show write-ups. It's just too much work tbh. Inventing storylines (sure I have storylines in-game but it's so much more when you have to write promos etc.), booking logically.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>First of all, FIN, you make me feel better about myself. I was really worried my full roster write up was too much and here you go digging into the whole roster. Kudos to you.</p><p> </p><p>

Second of all, you do you man! Styles change, you gotta go where the writing takes you. I feel like some of the best work is where the writing has a mind of its own and you're just along for the ride. I know it might seem cheesy but I like to pretend that I am just a watcher piercing the boundaries into a parallel universe and just writing what I observe.</p><p> </p><p>

Thirdly if details are bugging you go abstract. "X argues with Y about who is a better wrestler. Y puts X head through a thumbtack covered table."</p><p> </p><p>

Not much can be said about this match - Doan wins the Fighting Spirit title after Shuga Amano interfered. Fairly forgettable match through and through.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Kaito Doan defeated Ritsu Ibata, War Piece and Soshitsu Tsujimoto in a Deathmatch II in 7:55 when Kaito Doan submitted War Piece with a Stretch Muffler.

During the match we also had Shuga Amano run in and attack Ibata

The match had a story behind it but rather from being a competitive match, it ended up being a rite of initiation for Kajahara, who got smashed with everything but the kitchen sink from start to finish.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Kinji Akamatsu defeated Tatsu Kajahara in a 222 Light Tubes Deathmatch match in 9:57 by pinfall with The Eruption. Grade:

After the match, Tatsu Kajahara did a worked shoot promo, tearing down on Kajiwara's decision to change the WEXX product and about him selling out in general.

While the promo wasn't anything to write home about, it did get the crowd even hotter as Kajahara spoke very passionately about deathmatch wrestling.

The crowd couldn't believe their eyes when The Peak Brothers came through the curtains! Same could be said about Brothers In Vengeance, although their appearance in WEXX was only a matter of time (and money).

The hype quickly backfired though as it become crystal clear that the one opponent they could never beat, time itself, had taken the upper hand on all the combatants. Not only were they really old, their bodies were so frail that the match was contested in very vanilla Tables style without almost any deathmatch feel to it which the crowd obviously hated.

In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Brothers In Vengeance defeated The Peak Brothers in a Tables match in 5:45; Eddie Peak was eliminated first, then Battle Sakata, and finally Doug Peak.

Inferno Tables Deathmatch

Konoe and Makioka tore the house down with one of the greatest Deathmatches of the promotions short history in the nights main event. The gimmick of the flaming tables didn't even distract the attention from the fantastic wrestling the two provided - the match had it all. In the end, Konoe managed to set up a table leaning towards the corner, set it on fire and Gored Makioka brutally through it to end the fast paced, steal the show match, thus becoming the new WEXX Warrior's Spirit champion!

In an exceptional match, Taheiji Konoe defeated Zeshin Makioka in a Inferno Tables Deathmatch in 8:52 by flaming table break with Animalistic Gore.

After the match, Shimpei Hirose entered the ring to hand Konoe the WEXX Warrior's Spirit title when Shuga Amano, Kaito Doan and Tadashi Matsuda, all of them being Zeshin Makioka's proteges, jumped the ring and started assaulting Konoe. An injured Hirose left the ring in a hurry whilst Makioka ordered his proteges to hold Konoe for him, but then Hirose and Makioka started brawling outside the ring when Hirose stopped Makioka from getting weapons. This gave Konoe time to recover as he managed to free himself, then giving Animalistic Gores to Makioka's henchmen in the ring as the show came to an end.

Shimpei looked good, Taheiji was the real star and Zeshin was fantastic.

In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Taheiji Konoe and Brothers In Vengeance defeated Tobei Sugimura, Sumiyuki Samura and Tatsu Kajahara in a Deathmatch II match in 8:40 when Taheiji Konoe pinned Tatsu Kajahara with an Animalistic Gore.

During the match The Body Hammers attacked Brothers In Vengeance, but the champ Taheiji Konoe got the win against the trio eventually.

In terms of in-ring work, Taheiji Konoe was head and shoulders above everyone else.

The main highlight of the show was the official debut of Z-Factor and while the card had supbar matches, the great angles really improved the overall show rating. Before the event started, Zeshin Makioka gave each of his proteges tips on variety of things and in general tried to psyche them up for the opening angle.

Regarding Z-Factor, Kaito Doan is the most promising of the three proteges with his natural showmanship skills and is by far the most popular, having been working with WLW for quite a while now.

Shuga Amano has been improving rapidly under Makioka's guiding and is not far behind compared to Doan in terms of popularity and career trajection, he's clearly the most athletic of the bunch and seems to be most in-ring savvy. Being a ripped Light Heavyweight with a Psychopath style, he's the perfect fit for the promotion.

Tadashi Matsuda is somewhere in between Amano and Doan - he's got the entertainment skills but is lacking in the in-ring abilities and is the most unknown of the stable members - which means that he can't be used as much as Doan and Amano.

Only two workers got injured during the show - War Piece with a Bruised Tail Bone in the pre-show match and Sen Kita of the Rebel Cell sustained a Broken Toe against Z-Factor.

The thing is I started the idea of a diary when the save was in September of 2022 so most of what happened earlier has no heads or tails to it. I'm struggling to write anything meaningful when the content isn't that. So yeah. We'll do a half a year skip when I get to it. There's going to be two major events, the WEXX King of Deathmatch tournament and one great event after that.
