Issue with the site

Hi

 

I don't know if this issue should be posted on this section ( if not can you move it to the right section ) but i have an issue with the forum. I have some problem accessing the site. When i try to access the forum, sometimes ( almost everytime ) i have this message on screen :

 

"ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"

 

I have this problem only with this forum, not the other websites and i'm forced to always refresh ( sometimes several times ) !

 

How to solve this ? Am i the only one who has this problem or not ?

I’m getting this issue a lot lately too, even this morning I have to keep refreshing pages after they time out.

So i'm not the only one who gets that ! Having super long load and keeps refreshing to access the site. Can someone helps us with that issue please ?

It may be worth trying a different browser and seeing if you get the same issue. I mostly use Firefox or Edge across three different PCs and haven't seen it yet.

Got the same problem. Using Vivaldi, which is a Chromium browser. This also happens on the main page btw, not only the forums.

OK, I haven't seen anything in the logs that shows too many connections. Here's another article to check:

I also made some tweaks to the site so we can see if it helps.

I'm getting it too... all the time, and I've been here for how many years? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I think it's the site. Pretty much all other sites work as normal. Just this forum. I use Chrome but it's also on Firefox on a different PC.

Yes, I also don't experience it anywhere else. It's definitely a problem of this site, or rather the web hoster, I guess. Might be worth getting in touch with them, Arlie.

<p>I'm going to be switching soon. So, hopefully it will get better then. In the meantime, I will keep monitoring and trying to improve it. It's just odd that only a few people get it. I run this site from 5 different PCs (and locations) and our entire team is spread out on the US and UK. None of us have seen it.</p><p> </p><p>

I don't know what you did Arlie, but i see some improvement in my part ! It's faster to access the site and i don't have the "ERROR" anymore ( so far ) ! So thanks ^^

 

If the issue come back, i will notice you to try fix it but for now it seems...OK

OK, cool. I freed up some memory and dedicated it to our PHP processes. Hopefully that helps. I am about over our hosting company, though. So, still expect a note in the next two months that we will be moving over a day or two (more info when we get closer).
