TCW - The Return of J.K. Stallings

Recommended Posts

TCW Presents Total Wrestling:

Marc Speed, Davis Wayne Newton and El Hijo Del Neutron defeated Seth Whitehead, Arthur Dexter Bradley and Jaylon Martins in 9:14 (48)

-Del Neutron pinned... yes, you guessed it - Whitehead.

Bart Biggins and Elliot Thomas defeated Harvey Robbinfield and Yuri Yoshihara in 6:52 (45)

-Apparently Elliot Thomas' finisher is the Quiet Down. Who knew?

Roderick Remus defeated Flyin Jimmy Foxx in 6:32 (54)

-This is Foxx's future - looking at the stars.

Mighty Meaty, Human Arsenal and Mainstream Hernandez defeated The Sinners (Chris Flynn and Nick Booth) and Ground and Pound in 8:43 (68)

-Flynn and Booth are officially names as The Sinners. But they lost.

MAIN SHOW:

Greg Gauge was the person to start the show, and told the crowd that no-one deserved to talk about Mid Atlantic Wrestling apart from him. No man has won the Rip Chord Invitational more than Greg Gauge - and he was who people thought about when they talked about MAW. That brought Steven Parker out to tell Gauge that he was wrong - Rip Chord was the name that people first thought about. Without his work at MAW there would be no Invitational - nothing for Greg Gauge to boast about - and no Jay Chord. Out came Jay Chord, to demand that Parker never mentioned his father ever again. Neither Gauge or Parker should be mentioned in the same breath as his father - but soon people will remember the "One Chord - Jay Chord". Then he left (92)

1iwSVV6.jpg vs obowcyP.jpg

Steven Parker defeated Maverick in 6:43 (64)

-No surprise that Parker won his debut, delivering a... Future Shock. I'm not renaming it...

After the match Greg Gauge slid into the ring to attack Steven Parker, but Mainstream Hernandez rushed out from the back to make the save - quite how many fans recognise Hernandez and Parker's history in MAW I'm not sure about (78)

Wolf Hawkins cut an interview hyping his title match with Aaron Andrews at Excessive Force. Hawkins said that now he was champion he got the perks of the belt - a night off, and he would watch the main event with interest (89)

1NfNgjs.jpg vs gjMCJaq.jpg

Edd Stone defeated Pretty Okakura in 10:58 (66)

-Okakura slightly off his game, which is a shame as he's tearing it up on tour with EX2010 at the moment. An even match, but Stone took the victory with a Party's Over.

Backstage and Jay Chord was shown with Greg Gauge. They eyed one another up, before Chord told Gauge that they had been signed up to a match against Parker and Hernandez at Excessive Force. Chord told Gauge he had better be ready to team with the "One Chord - Jay Chord", to which Greg Gauge got in Chord's face and told him he was always ready (73)

AD5FHaf.jpgF2jEjZk.jpg vs TB8MCFS.jpg5g2yawH.jpg

T-Bone Bright and Lenny Brown defeated The Behemoths in 8:14 (76)

-So, Lenny Brown was going to be Chris Flynn's tag partner, but instead he debuted as a face, teaming with T-Bone Bright. Without much fanfare. It was Bright who got the pin on Titan, however.

Eddie Peak came out after the match and told T-Bone Bright to get ready to face him at Excessive Force - where nothing will be excessive in a hardcore match (68)

CWTI0U1.jpg vs ffp6Zq4.jpg

High Flyin Hawaiian defeated Nate Johnson in 7:32 (58)

-Not great - although Hawaiian got a little push when he started, his popularity just isn't there, and he's going to have to work his way up the card.

Benny Benson was out with a mic to challenge Hawaiian to a match at Excessive Force, which was accepted. I need to remember that one of Hawaiian's strength is his mic work (72)

N26lVpr.jpg vs pZcuuJO.jpg

Doc Hammond defeated Troy Tornado by DQ in 8:23 (66)

-Hammond's ratings really seem to suffer from the fact that he often seems to end up in the Story Telling match of the night, like he was here. The story here was that Tornado has two lieutenants in the shape of Davis Wayne Newton and El Hijo Del Neutron, who when Hammond took the upper hand were quick to storm the ring and attack the veteran.

Human Arsenal was the man to run out for the save... almost as if there's a PPV tag match coming... (51)

Freddy Huggins was out with his sister, to once more declare himself the most athletic, talented high flier in TCW. Sammy Bach was out next to tell Huggins that the rhetoric was getting boring - the ring is where the truth is found (68)

0A7ICxk.jpgtR9O6y0.jpg vs z6Zg9JA.jpgVNCC01L.jpg

Freddy Huggins and Matt Hocking defeated Sammy Bach and One Man Army in 12:43 (72)

-Yes, this is how I've crow-barred an opponent for One Man Army at Excessive Force - Hocking pinning One Man Army after he used his body as a weapon to take out Huggins - leaving himself open to a Hock Drop.

Laura Huggins looked appreciatively at Hocking after the match, and yelled at One Man Army that Hocking would take his title (70)

tPWwJoq.jpg7LykbZe.jpg vs SMhRu8y.jpgHnafANh.jpg

Aaron Andrews and Dazzling Dave Diamond defeated The Syndicate in 13:30 (82)

-Andrews stepped back into the Main Event, in a brawl against Joshua Taylor and Eddie Chandler. Wolf Hawkins was out to support his colleagues, but Tag Team champions Mighty Meaty were able to successfully mark him out, allowing Andrews to win with a Standing Hot Shot.

Wolf Hawkins slid into the ring but Andrews, Diamond, Tana and Mo quickly teamed to meet him, and he was forced to back up (81)

Jay Chord's catchphrase was not expected or planned - but the crowd loved it, and we're going to roll with it. Meanwhile, Lenny Brown joins the TCW roster, teaming with T-Bone Bright to little fanfair. He’s a good talent who should fit well into TCW, but the ideas about how he was going to debut have changed on a weekly basis, and it will be interesting to see if he’s landed in the right spot.

Nick Booth signs a one-year extension to his TCW contract - just as well he did or Chris Flynn's new tag team would have been short lived.

Greg Gauge cracks his ribs at a house show. It's a short injury, but he'll be affected at Excessive Force... I wonder...

TCW Presents Total Wrestling:

Joffy Laine drew with Pretty Okakura in 10:00 when the time limit was reached (41)

-Did you know that most pre-show matches have a ten minute time limit? No? Neither did I. Did you know that these men don't click? We do now.

Bart Biggins defeated Harvey Robbinfield in 9:46 (47)

-A desperate attempt to stop Biggins falling into Ice Cold territory.

Dazzling Dave Diamond, Doc Hammond and Human Arsenal defeated Nate Johnson, Yuri Yoshihara and Tigre Salvaje in 8:54 (61)

-A debut for Tigre Salvaje - the crowd were into his occult look, but this doesn't mean he's getting a push. Yoshihara took a Dazzle Driver from DDD.

Jay Chord defeated Flying Jimmy Foxx in 6:43 (72)

-No doubt who was going to win this one...

MAIN SHOW:

Wolf Hawkins started the show with his Syndicate colleagues. Hawkins announced that The Syndicate would compete for the Tag Team Titles at Excessive Force, and would warm up later in six man tag action. Hawkins said that he and his men would slowly take Andrews and Mighty Meaty apart, and make them wish that they didn't have to wrestle again on Sunday. That brought the faces out, Andrews serious, but Mighty Meaty livening the mood and telling Hawkins that he need to lighten up - and they'd show him how to later (96)

1NfNgjs.jpgDJAyYee.jpg vs obowcyP.jpgh4FvS3y.jpg

Cougar Stone defeated Maverick and Marc Speed in 9:08 (69)

-The commentary team announced that Cougar Stone would also compete for the Tag Team Titles on Sunday, so the fact that Masked Cougar pinned Maverick was no shock whatsoever.

Jay Chord was shown backstage with Greg Gauge, who was being seen to by a doctor. Chord scornfully asked Gauge what the problem was, with Gauge telling him that Mainstream Hernandez had broken his ribs last week, and he could hardly move. Chord got in Gauge's face and told him that he had better be ready on Sunday, otherwise he will be disrespecting his history (82)

AD5FHaf.jpgF2jEjZk.jpg vs 8FojO3R.jpgqRAhdtw.jpg

T-Bone Bright and Lenny Brown defeated The Sinners in 7:21 (71)

-Eddie Peak watched on as the Sinners took the defeat, Lenny Brown showing off The Star Treatment.

After the match Eddie Peak rummaged under the ring and started throwing weapons into the ring (cane, trash can, chair, iron bar), all of which would be legal. on Sunday Bright stood there, swatting away the trash can and catching the chair, before sharing a sadistic smile with Peak (69)

T0exOPL.jpgw3alFMh.jpg vs d6hVtoT.jpgGH8JiL3.jpg

El Hijo Del Neutron and Davis Wayne Newton defeated Devine Fortune in 8:54 (56)

-Chance Fortune wasn't happy about this, but it's his job now, Del Neutron pinning him with a Neutron Bomb.

Troy Tornado got into the ring to raise his colleagues arms, when Dazzling Dave Diamond brought out Doc Hammond and Human Arsenal. DDD told Tornado to get his boys ready, as they had a match on Sunday (71)

tR9O6y0.jpg vs PyE4TML.jpg

Matt Hocking defeated Danny Fonzarelli in 6:56 (63)

-One Man Army joined the commentary team for this, and that was about all the hype that we got for the TV Title match (at a PPV...) and Hocking strolled to a stress-free victory.

Mainstream Hernandez and Steven Parker were together before their tag match when Jay Chord came over. Parker jokingly asked him if he was just the "One Chord" without a partner for Sunday, but Chord just demanded silence. He told Parker that he would deal with him in the ring on Sunday, and he should be careful of what he says (87)

1iwSVV6.jpg98SmV1v.jpg vs TB8MCFS.jpg5g2yawH.jpg

Steven Parker and Mainstream Hernandez defeated The Behemoths in 10:16 (75)

-A decent match, with the ex-MAW boys (lets be realistic, it was over 10 years ago they left MAW so this is tenuous...) slowly managing to get over the size advantage of their opponents, and the match ended after Parker delivered a Future Shock to Titan.

Sammy Bach and High Flyin Hawaiian were out for their match with Huggins and Benson, and put in a bit of hype for Sunday. That led to the heels coming out to declare that they would be victorious (83)

0A7ICxk.jpgvGmpWyf.jpg vs z6Zg9JA.jpgCWTI0U1.jpg

Freddy Huggins and Benny Benson defeated Sammy Bach and High Flyin Hawaiian in 11:50 (69)

-Slightly disappointing, as this match was designed to be a little better. It was even, but Huggins took the win with a handful of tights on Hawaiian.

Aaron Andrews and Mighty Meaty cut a promo for the Main Event, with Tana telling The Syndicate that they were going to have fun out there - while winning at the same time (84)

tPWwJoq.jpgMrcu7Tv.jpgJ4p5In8.jpg vs h3ZWrsV.jpgSMhRu8y.jpgHnafANh.jpg

Aaron Andrews and Mighty Meaty defeated The Syndicate by disqualification in 12:52 (78)

-The Syndicate were focused, but the story of this match was Tana trying to hit a Big Samoan Butt Rub, to the disgust of the Syndicate. At one point Eddie Chandler was laid out in the corner, with nothing appearing able to stop Tana... when Wolf Hawkins took him out with his title belt.

Wolf Hawkins turned around and swung his title at Aaron Andrews, but the ex-champion ducked to avoid the shot. He kicked Hawkins in the gut causing the champion to drop the title belt, before he drove Hawkins headfirst into the title (88)

I'm happy with that as a lead into Excessive Force - decent but not world class matches - but that's what the PPV if for, isn't it?

One signing in the dark matches - Tigre Salvage (I've dropped the Jr). At the moment he has just been signed to do some dark jobs - apart from Nate Johnson and Maverick, my other heels in the job zone (e.g. Marc Speed and Roderick Remus) I would like to do something with, but they're too busy doing the job. When I dig into development I find workers who I want to primarily spend time in HGC, so Salvage gets hired to fill that hole. However, it's a big hole, so there will be another signing there too.

Over a BCG Razan Okamoto becomes Sole Survivor for the second time. The BCG roster is stacked, and Okamoto is still working there despite relocating to the South West to make it easier for his HGC work. He's pulling out performances of the night down there despite being a complete unknown, so expect to see him on the main roster by the end of the year. Later in the night Big Bruiser Findlay won the World Title, the first time a gaijin has won the title since Pistol Pete Hall won the inaugural title back in 2011.

Huh, I knew I left Joey Fili at MAW, but I didn't realise that Jaylon Martins was also down there. They've just started teaming together, so I'll leave them there for now.

Laura Huggins and Matt Hocking have weak chemistry as a managerial partnership - shame. I'll quietly make that idea go away. Meanwhile Greg Gauge will go into Excessive Force needing another 6 hours to recover from his broken ribs. He can wrestle through it, but my Plan B is ready - it won't be as good but... I'm torn.

Interesting to note when looking through wrestler’s records - Aaron Andrews has lost seven matches this year. Wolf Hawkins has only lost two, while next on the list is... Tana the Mighty with 3!?! So is Freddy Huggins, which certainly explains his momentum. Mighty Mo and Jay Chord have both lost four, Joshua Taylor five, Doc Hammond and One Man Army six. Dazzling Dave Diamond joins Andrews on nine defeats.

TCW World Heavyweight Title match

At Total Mayhem Aaron Andrews spent most of the World Heavyweight Title out or the ring, and in his eagerness to catch up left himself exposed to a Full Moon Rising from Wolf Hawkins. With just the two men in the ring, will Andrews be able to take his title back?

TCW Tag Team Title Match

The Syndicate have been all business since their leader, Wolf Hawkins, became World Heavyweight Champion, and have been visibly upset at champions Mighty Meaty light-hearted attitude. Tana the Mighty will be looking to hit the Big Samoan Butt, but will Cougar Stone be the wild card in this match for the Tag Team Titles?

TCW TV Title Match

Since One Man Army defeated Greg Gauge for the TV Title, Matt Hocking has been on a wave of form. Once more the title will be defended on Pay Per View, and Hocking will be looking for one of his biggest scalps in TCW.

Hardcore Match

T-Bone Bright has clashed with the Sinner Society all month, but now he may get more than he bargained for when facing Eddie Peak in his environment - a hardcore match! This match will be nothing like Bright has ever been in since arriving in TCW, but is he ready to face the leader of the Sinner Society?

Mid Atlantic Grudge Match

These four men have all claimed to represent the best of Mid Atlantic Wrestling, but the real question is will Greg Gauge be fit to take part in this match after Mainstream Hernandez broke his ribs? If not, surely "The One" Jay Chord will be biting off more than he can choose against his experienced opponents?

z6Zg9JA.jpg vs 0A7ICxk.jpg

Sammy Bach has always claimed that he is the rock star of TCW, and has shown great all round ability, whatever type his match he is put in. However, Freddy Huggins is out to claim the crown as the hottest high flier in TCW, and we are sure to see plenty of fast flowing exciting action in this one!

We will also see High Flyin Hawaiian take on Benny Benson, while Dazzling Dave Diamond teams with Human Arsenal and Doc Hammond to take in Camp Tornado. This explosive card is stacked from top to bottom, so tune in on PPV this Sunday!!

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>One Man Army © defeated Matt Hocking</strong></span> to retain the <strong>TCW TV Title</strong> in 11:53 (61)</p><p>

-I'll be honest - if it wasn't for the booking analysis screen I would have missed this match off the card. OMA seemed to have forgotten about the match as well as he really dialled in his performance, possible unhappy with the amount of offence Matt Hocking was given before the champion won after a Guided Missile.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Dazzling Dave Diamond, Doc Hammond and Human Arsenal defeated Troy Tornado, El Hijo Del Neutron and Davis Wayne Newton</strong></span> in 11:39 (65)</p><p>

-In my head I have got a reason for why the faces are teamed, but I don't think I've ever explained this properly on screen. I will do that at some point. The heels fought hard as I tried to show off their talent, but they really need a big victory to start to get themselves over. It didn't come here as the face team was too strong, Dazzling Dave Diamond hitting Davis Wayne Newton with a Diamond Mine to take the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Eddie Peak defeated T-Bone Bright</strong></span> in a hardcore match in 8:59 (71)</p><p>

-T-Bone Bright has been on a great run, and he really pulled in a shift in this match. However, as the commentary team pointed out, this was Eddie Peak's type of match. Bright was happy to slug it out with chairs and canes, but Peak was able to utlilise a greater number of weapons, including an exposed turnbuckle which left Bright vulnerable to a Peak of Perfection.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>The Syndicate defeated Mighty Meaty © and Cougar Stone</strong></span> to win the <strong>TCW Tag Team Titles</strong> in 11:03 (79)</p><p>

-This match played out as the champions Might Meaty versus The Syndicate, with Cougar Stone suddenly appearing for bursts of offence - that were largely short lived. Despite being the only team in this match that didn't show chemistry, The Syndicate proved themselves a solid, focused unit, and they were always able to slow down Cougar Stone, and avoid any attemps of The Big Samoan Butt from the champions. Mighty Meaty had momentum but just found it too difficult to keep on top of all four other men, and although Tana hit the Butt on Masked Cougar, Eddie Chandler took him out of the ring (illegally), allowing Taylor to pin the masked man and take the Tag Team Titles, fulfilling the first part of The Syndicates aim to walk out of the PPV all wearing gold.</p><p> </p><p>

Jay Chord was shown backstage with Greg Gauge, asking if he was ready today. Gauge said he was, but Jay Chord jabbed him in the ribs and Gauge visibly winced. Jay Chord's face contorted in disgust, and told Gauge that he was no use to him, and would not be needed tonight (71)</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="CWTI0U1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CWTI0U1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs <img alt="vGmpWyf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vGmpWyf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>High Flyin Hawaiian drew with Benny Benson</strong></span> in 12:23 (70)</p><p>

-Explain this draw? My only explanation is - a mis-click. I can't even do a double count out, so I'm going to go for a double roll-up with both sets of shoulder on the mat. I know, it's lame, I'll blame the road agent, Brent Hill. Not me. Oh no...</p><p> </p><p>

Jay Chord came out for his match, and announced that his partner would be the scourge of Mid Atlantic Wrestling, 2-time champion <strong>Findlay O'Farraday</strong> (72)</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="1iwSVV6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1iwSVV6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="98SmV1v.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/98SmV1v.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs <img alt="kKs2S9I.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kKs2S9I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="6w7GWre.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6w7GWre.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#0000FF;">Steven Parker and Mainstream Hernandez defeated Jay Chord and Findlay O'Farraday </span></strong>by count out in 9:20 (80)</p><p>

-I had almost booked myself into a corner with this match, but I managed to find a solution. This match was all about the damage that the heel team were trying to cause the faces, and they were able to do a lot of damage, with both Parker and Hernandez having to play the face in distress role at different points. The match ended when O'Farraday became so obsessed with beating the faces out of the ring he was completely ignorant of the ref making the ten-count and was counted and as Parker was just able to get back into the ring as the ref counted made it to ten. <span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Sammy Bach defeated Freddy Huggins</strong></span> in 13:55 (81)</p><p>

-Freddy Huggins seemed eager to show off all his high-flying moves, but Bach was more grounded and methodical, using all of his all round skills. I originally booked this match way back on my first show, which earned Freddy Huggins a title shot. Sammy Bach was able to even the score here after a good, even contest, with a clean Bach On Your Back to take the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

Aaron Andrews hyped the Main Event, saying that only he stood in the way of a Syndicate clean sweep, a role he took very seriously (80)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>World Hawkins © defeated Aaron Andrews</strong></span> to retain the <strong>TCW World Heavyweight Title</strong> in 25:46 (94)</p><p>

-I will take that. A fully fit Andrews (unlike at the last PPV) and a champion of form, this was a great match, swinging both ways. Wolf Hawkins Syndicate colleagues were out (of course), but Mighty Meaty showed that they had a serious side, brawling with the men who defeated them earlier in the night. Joshua Taylor tried to strike Mighty Mo in the head with his title belt, but Mo adjusted and threw his body into Taylor, taking both men out. That gave Tana the Mighty the time to deliver a Big Fat Samoan Splash on Taylor, but this just proved a distraction. When Taylor was taken out by Mo his title flew into the ring, and Hawkins was successful at first drilling Andrews in the head with it, then dropping him with a DDT into the title. The ref just saw a Full Moon Rising, and Hawkins retained.</p><p> </p><p>

After the match The Syndicate posed with their titles in the ring, having fulfilled their promise of all holding three belts at the end of the night (82)</p><p> </p><p>

Where to start? Not the Main Event for now - the MAW battle was where I had the hardest decisions to make. Greg Gauge could have easily wrestled, but I had previously considered bringing in O'Farraday later in this feud. With Gauge's injury I panicked and offered a contract, and with O’Farraday signed, I was going to use him. It did make booking a little easier - I did want Jay Chord to lose, and I'm not sure that he was going to accept it. In teaming with a relative unknown (all things considered) he accepted the countout defeat, without even being a little upset. Findlay O’Farraday has signed a six month Pay Per Appearance deal, and will still wrestle for BCG when his contract allows to defend his Global Title.</p><p> </p><p>

The Main Event cannot be forgotten, as this is now the top rated match that I have booked. It doesn't look as if Andrews is planning on leaving the main event scene any time soon... However, The Syndicate showed their strength and are now holders of both the World Heavyweight Title and the Tag Team Titles, but Mighty Meaty will be looking to take revenge.</p><p> </p><p>

Elsewhere, my booking skills were shown as I somehow accidentally booked a draw between High Flyin Hawaiian and Benny Benson. With the ending of the MAW battle a countout, I couldn't repeat that, so I came up with a lame ending instead.</p><p> </p><p>

Meanwhile, after adding a few graphics and a proper PPV preview, I get an unprecedented 5 predictions! Thank you all. Ignoring the misbooked draw, the results were as follows:</p><p> </p><p>

Jaysin – 2/7</p><p>

The Lloyd – 5/7</p><p>

Sco xY2Jx – 4/7</p><p>

Hitman74 – 5/7</p><p>

Herrbear – 4/7</p><p> </p><p>

It turns out the show was a little unpredictable, with everyone expecting Eddie Peak to put over T-Bone Bright. Most people expected Jay Chord and Greg Gauge to pull out the victory as well, but given that Gauge didn’t even wrestle maybe that explains that…</p><p> </p><p>

TCW Presents Total Wrestling:

Elliot Thomas and Alistair Shufflebottom defeated Nate Johnson and Yuri Yoshihara in 7:10 (39)

Maverick defeated Dean Daniels in 8:19 (47)

Human Arsenal defeated Tigre Salvaje in 7:26 (65)

Dazzling Dave Diamond defeated Dusty Ducont in 5:52 (62)

MAIN SHOW:

The Syndicate came out to start the show, all three men now holding titles after Joshua Taylor and Eddie Chandler won the Tag Team Titles at Excessive Force. Wolf Hawkins declared that The Syndicate was back on top as it always has been over the years. Hawkins said that the only title that was missing was the TV Title, and this is the opportunity for someone to join the dominant force in wrestling by taking the title off One Man Army. Out came Aaron Andrews and told Hawkins that The Syndicate were about strength in numbers, having back up, and cheating. Andrews demanded that Hawkins faced him one on one without The Syndicate, but Hawkins scoffed and told Andrews he had failed at his chance on Sunday, and he was done with him (98)

Roderick Remus defeated Bart Biggins in 6:53 (56)

-A main show victory for Remus? Whatever next? The audience haven't seen anyone tap to the Remus Clutch for a while, but it happened here.

El Hijo Del Neutron and Davis Wayne Newton defeated Danny Fonzarelli and Joffy Laine in 7:46 (52)

-We expected this to be a lot worse considering three of the men in the ring were considered unimportant, but they all delivered enough to keep the crowd interested. Tornado was ringside being a distraction, allowing Del Neutron to deliver a Neutron Bomb to Danny Fonzarelli.

Dazzling Dave Diamond met the faces as they headed back, saying that they put on a good show and he wanted to work with them (62)

Steven Parker defeated Marc Speed in 7:57 (67)

-Steven Parker had a decent match with Marc Speed here, with the commentary team letting us know that Mainstream Hernandez was suffering after being powerbombed through a table at Excessive Force, so was not in the building tonight.

Steven Parker took a microphone after the match and demanded that Jay Chord come out. He obliged, with Findlay O'Farrady at his side. Chord asked Parker how Hernandez was, with a cruel smile on his face. Parker told Chord that Hernandez had been put out of action by Findlay O-Farraday, but that wasn't going to stop him. Jay Chord told Parker that he needed to be careful, otherwise he would end up the same way as Hernandez (69)

Jay Chord and Findlay O'Farrady defeated Devine Fortune in 4:39 (55)

-Short bout, where O'Farrady got to how off his skills legitimately, delivering a Atomic Spinebuster to Chance Fortune. Twice.

T-Bone Bright cut a backstage promo against The Sinner Society, which was interrupted by Eddie Peak. The veteran told Bright that he had comprehensively defeated him last week, and his legend lives on. Bright told Peak that he knows how to work a hardcore match, but, with proper rules, Bright would show his skills next (84)

T-Bone Bright, Lenny Brown and Cougar Stone defeated The Sinner Society in 8:45 (68)

-A huge range of in-ring performance here, topped out by T-Bone Bright and Edd Stone. Nick Booth was a long way behind, and it was him who took the pin from Lenny Brown.

Huggins, with Okakura by his side, hyped up his match against Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach, saying that he would win next, and put himself forward as the next challenger to the TCW World Heavyweight Title (70)

Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach defeated Freddy Huggins and Pretty Okakura in 10:46 (72)

-Good little match, easily the biggest that Okakura has been in at TCW. He didn't quite do as well as he has been doing in EX2010, and it was him who took the pin from Sammy Bach, to Huggins frustration.

Wolf Hawkins was with his Syndicate colleagues hyping the main event, telling everyone they would show them why they are the top group around (68)

VNCC01L.jpgMrcu7Tv.jpgJ4p5In8.jpg vs h3ZWrsV.jpgSMhRu8y.jpgHnafANh.jpg

One Man Army and Mighty Meaty defeated The Syndicate in 14:01 (80)

-This match started out as a standard multi-man match, with One Man Army playing the role of the face in distress. When he made the hot tag to Tana the Mighty the match broke down completely, and the ref just went with it. The Syndicate seemed to want to continue concentrating on breaking down TV Title holder OMA, and Mighty Mo desperately protected him. However, in the ring Tana was left with Eddie Chandler, and he was able to deliver the Big Fat Samoan Butt to get the huge upset win.

Things broke down even more after the match as midcard heels (Benny Benson, Matt Hocking and Marc Speed) spilled out from the back to attack One Man Army. Wolf Hawkins cheered them on, but when Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach were out to support the faces he backed away with The Syndicate (80)

The show concentrated on The Syndicate looking to bring the TV Title into the group, effectively putting a bounty on One Man Army’s head. However, he’s never been one to back down, and seems to have the support of Mighty Meaty, Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach, so we know what the Main Event scene is going to look like for the next few weeks. Both Greg Gauge and Mainstream Hernandez were fit for the show (Hernandez never having legitimately been injured) but were held off for storyline purposes. They will be back soon.

I briefly mentioned after the last show that there would be another signed to do some dark jobs - that man is Dusty Ducont. Don't expect him on the main show anytime soon unless I need a brawler to do a job. Sadly, he didn't click with Dazzling Dave Diamond in his first match. Over in the UK Buff Martinez is released by 21CW - he could be great in TCW, but honestly, I've brought in enough wrestlers his level, so I shall pass for now.

Doc Hammond defeated Tigre Salvaje in 7:03 (66)

MAIN SHOW:

Wolf Hawkins started the show started the show, saying that it took five different good guys working together to put The Syndicate off their stride last week, but they will always be the most well oiled machine around. Aaron Andrews was out to demand a(nother) rematch, but... Troy Tornado was out? He told Andrews that he was holding back the younger wrestlers, who deserved a shot at the title. When Andrews asked who, Tornado suggested Davis Wayne Newton, and Andrews agreed to face the youngster later tonight. Hawkins reminded everyone that he was still there, and that brought out Sammy Bach and Mighty Meaty. Hawkins rolled his eyes, but Tana said that he got the pin last week, and would this week team up with Sammy Bach to get the same result this week. Hawkins laughed, but Bach added that when he did - he would be next in line for a title shot (93)

One Man Army © defeated Marc Speed to retain the TCW TV title in 10:42 (58)

-Disaster! The next few weeks were meant to be One Man Army fighting with opponents desperate to take the TCW TV Title and join The Syndicate, but he suffered a Whiplash Neck injury here which has put all that in doubt. Completely stifled the action in this match as well, with OMA in obvious pain and unable to use his body as effectively as a weapon as he normally does.

After the match Benny Benson and Matt Hocking rushed out from the back, and One Man Army took the wise option of heading out through the crowd, holding his neck (65)

Dazzling Dave Diamond was backstage with Danny Fonzarelli and Joffy Laine before the next match. DDD told Laine that he was a future talent, with Fonzarelli also giving him some hype and reminding us that he really can talk the talk, even if his body is getting worn down (66)

kKs2S9I.jpg6w7GWre.jpg vs PyE4TML.jpgxMN1M97.jpg

Jay Chord and Findlay O'Farraday defeated Danny Fonzarelli and Joffy Laine in 5:03 (54)

-Two matches rated in the 50's in a week for Jay Chord - he's been moved out of the Main Event to help that MAW feud and bring on O'Farraday, even though the bruiser is only at TCW on a short PPA contract. Despite the pre-match hype the faces were quickly despatched, Fonzarelli taking an Atomic Spinebuster while Laine was out of the ring.

Jay Chord took a microphone after the match, and told Steven Parker that an Atomic Spinebuster was waiting for him - and no-one recovers from that (commentators note that Chance Fortune was not here tonight after suffering one last week, and Hernandez was still shelved) (73)

0A7ICxk.jpggjMCJaq.jpg vs CWTI0U1.jpgP8yCI8D.jpg

Freddy Huggins and Pretty Okakura defeated High Flyin Hawaiian and Flying Jimmy Foxx in 9:12 (78)

-The rather obvious combination of the two face flyers showed excellent chemistry - although they've been pushed very differently, they are about the same popularity, so maybe there's a future there. For this match, however, Hawaiian was booked as the force, Foxx the face in distress, and it was Foxx who eventually fell to a Huggins Kiss.

1iwSVV6.jpg vs 3trjIdt.jpg

Steven Parker defeated Roderick Remus by count out in 4:37 (53)

-Much of the TCW audience would not have known about Roderick Remus' history in MAW, so the commentary team let them know. They kind of had to as when Findlay O'Farrady rushed to the ring with Jay Chord Remus went for the Moonsault on the larger man, which really wouldn't have made any sense without the history. Sadly for Remus O'Farraday caught him and smashed him against the barriers. As Chord and O'Farrady surrounded the ring, Remus was counted out.

Jay Chord took a microphone, and told Parker that he was the one who decided to mess in the business of the "One Chord - Jay Chord", so he was responsible for what happened next. He sent O'Farraday into the ring, and Parker slowly backed up. At that moment Mainstream Hernandez appeared through the crowd and climbed the turnbuckle, and despite Chord warning O'Farraday, he was too focused on Parker to notice Hernandez. A crossbody followed, then a mass brawl in the ring where the faces managed to finish on top (78)

The Sinner Society were shown backstage, with Eddie Peak telling Chris Flynn that he had dismantled T-Bone Bright at Excessive Force, and Flynn should finish him off next (67)

AD5FHaf.jpg vs 8FojO3R.jpg

T-Bone Bright defeated Chris Flynn in 6:47 (70)

-These two didn't click, but it didn't seem to have a huge affect on how the match was viewed. A decent brawl, but without the support of the Society Flynn fell to a T-Bone Lariat.

Andrews cut an interview against Wolf Hawkins, telling him that after he defeated Davis Wayne Newton he would be next on his target list (76)

tPWwJoq.jpg vs w3alFMh.jpg

Aaron Andrews defeated Davis Wayne Newton in 9:41 (77)

-Well, these two didn't click either - but once again it was a decent contest. DWN was given plenty of offence, perhaps looking more of a threat than he had ever done in TCW so far, but Andrews fought hard for the pin after delivering a Standing Hot Shot.

Sammy Bach and Mighty Meaty hyped the main event and... it should have been better than this. Maybe the crowd don't care as much about Tana wanting to plant his butt in The Syndicate's members faces as I thought they did? (70)

z6Zg9JA.jpgMrcu7Tv.jpgJ4p5In8.jpg vs h3ZWrsV.jpgSMhRu8y.jpgHnafANh.jpgSMhRu8y.jpg

Sammy Bach and Mighty Meaty defeated The Syndicate in 17:29 (82)

-This one was more of a brawl than last week, with fights taking place everywhere, and the ref happy to let it happen. The story was Tana trying to hit his Big Samoan Butt, but The Syndicate were able to use their numbers to make sure it didn't happen. The Tag Champions and Mighty Meaty ended up in the crowd, which allowed Aaron Andrews to use the distraction to hit a Standing Hot Shot to Wolf Hawkins in the ring, before Sammy Bach finished him off with a Bach On Your Back.

Bach and Andrews glanced at one another cautiously, but when Hawkins went to attack them they teamed up against the TCW Word Championship, forcing him from the ring before shaking hands (89)

I needn't be so worried about One Man Army's injury - he should be better by next week, if not the week after. That story can continue as before.

Elsewhere, 2-time Mid Atlantic Champion Roderick Remus got involved in the MAW feud, having actually had history with Findlay O'Farrady. His turn is the reason why I hired Tigre Salvaje, as I needed someone of that level to do the job on the pre-show, a job that Roderick Remus has sadly been stuck in since I took over.

However, Julian Watson (Maverick) pulled me to one side after the event, to let me know how annoyed he was at his recent booking. Despite a couple of pre-show wins his momentum has dropped to Very Low and looks unlikely to recover. At 38 he is four years the junior of TV Title holder One Man Army, so still thinks he has plenty to give, but let me know in no uncertain terms that he thought he was being wasted. He's correct.

I've got Zippy Deverell on a non-exclusive deal at HGC, but he's also been working at MAW. Until this week, where he walked out on the company in a dispute over payment. I'm really tempted to send him back to MAW instead of HGC to see what affect his new mutual dislike of Sam Keith has, but as he's only wrestled there once in six months he's better off staying at HGC. He's a few years off a call up and will likely be a mouthpiece for someone before getting in the ring. Instead, I will fill his space by moving Garry the Entertainer from HGC to MAW - Garry had a 16-9 record at HGC, including various title shots, and it's time to see if he can do anything for another company.

Aaron Andrews, Sammy Bach and Mighty Meaty trooped out to the ring to start the show, with Andrews telling everyone that they had The Syndicate's number, and put them into place in the last few weeks. That brought Wolf Hawkins out with his colleagues, sarcastically applauding. Hawkins took a mic and told those in the ring that they had proved something - that they could win when it doesn't matter. But what about the big one? Hawkins scoffed, and said that The Syndicate would remain supreme at Summer Showdown, whoever they would face. That brought Tana to the microphone, to declare that Mighty Meaty would get getting their title shot, and he couldn't wait to give Joshua Taylor a preview of his backside tonight. Sammy Bach took the microphone to tell Wolf Hawkins that he would be facing him for the World Heavyweight Title at Summer Showdown, before passing the mic to Andrews, who told Hawkins he would also be in the match - a Triple Threat match for the TCW World Heavyweight Title (97)</p><p> </p><p>

Chord told Remus to pipe down - Findlay O'Farrady had won everything at MAW - to which Remus pointed out that it was him who had taken one of the titles off O'Farraday. Greg Gauge came over, making his return from injured ribs, to remind Remus that he was the man who then took the title off him, but Remus continued the game of one upmanship by saying that he was the last one to win a title match between him and Gauge. <span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>T-Bone Bright, Lenny Brown, Dazzling Dave Diamond and Joffy Laine defeated The Sinner Society</strong></span> in 9:29 (71)</p><p>

-The Sinner Society really are not on any run of form, apart from Eddie Peak who, of course, will only wrestle on Pay Per Views. They did get offence, with Joffy Laine taking a lot of damage, but T-Bone Bright went on a roll and pinned Nick Booth after T-Bone Powerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

T-Bone Bright got on a mic and demanded a rematch with Eddie Peak at Summer Showdown - with proper wrestling rules. Peak came out laughing to accept, telling Bright that there's nothing "proper" about a match with him, and he should prepare for a world of pain (71)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Steven Parker and Roderick Remus defeated Maverick and Marc Speed</strong></span> in 7:32 (69)</p><p>

-I guess Watson's complaints last week had no affect. At least he was on the main show, even in defeat, and Remus submitted Speed with a Remus Clutch.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>One Man Army © defeated Benny Benson and Matt Hocking</strong></span> to retain the <strong>TCW TV Title</strong> in 10:52 (65)</p><p>

-The commentary team reminded us that One Man Army effectively had a bounty on his head, with opponents invited to take the title from him to earn a place on The Syndicate. This lead to Benson and Hocking double teaming OMA, but as soon as it came to pinning him the two heels fought amongst one another, and the champion sneaked the pin after knocking both men out with a Guided Missile.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Greg Gauge defeated Mainstream Hernandez</strong></span> in 8:29 (75)</p><p>

-Both men were coming off "injuries" in the first match ever against these two MAW legends, so it was not as epic as it could have been. The story was Hernandez's back, damaged by Findlay O'Farrady a couple of weeks ago, which gave out after he was whipped into the turnbuckles. Gauge then took over, and despite a desperate flying crossbody from Hernandez Gauge was able to apply the Proton Lock, making Hernandez tap.</p><p> </p><p>

Greg Gauge left the ring, and was met by Jay Chord and Findlay O'Farraday by the ring entrance. Chord got on the mic, and declared that his team were ready to meet Parker, Remus and Hernandez at Summer Showdown - if they were fit enough to do battle (72)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach defeated Troy Tornado and Davis Wayne Newton</strong></span> in 11:13 (79)</p><p>

-Troy Tornado was like DWN's cheerleader in this match, constantly telling him not to let his opponents hold him down. At one point Andrews angrily held DWN to the floor, and shouted at Tornado if this is what he meant, which led to Bach tagging himself in and telling Andrews to chill. Bach was then blindsided by Tornado, but with no tag made Andrews dragged Troy out of the ring and a brawl started outside. That left DWN to unload his offence in the ring against Bach, but the veteran was able to turn it around and pinned the youngster after an Adrenaline Shot</p><p> </p><p>

Sammy Bach got on the microphone after the match, and told Andrews that if he let himself be riled up like that a Summer Showdown by The Syndicate, they had no chance. Andrews refuted this, telling Bach that as long as he was in the ring, he had a chance, and he was going to win back his title (87)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Wolf Hawkins defeated Human Arsenal</strong></span> in a non-title match in 13:40 (87)</p><p>

-Well, erm, this is my best match ever. Despite the fact that there really was only going to be one winner, these two men delivered a fantastic wrestling clinic that will probably be surprise entrant on the end of year "Best of" countdown. We even let Arsenal hit an Ammo Dump, but it wasn't enough, and Hawkins got the victory after a Full Moon Rising</p><p> </p><p>

An exhausted Hawkins took the mic after the match and told Andrews and Bach that they could throw whatever they wanted at him - he was the TCW World Heavyweight Champion. He earned it, and he was here to stay (74)</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Overall Rating 86</em></p>

I thought the Main Event would be good - I did not expect it to be that good. At 44 years old Human Arsenal showed his exceptional value to the roster. Whether or not he can stay anywhere near the Main Event is another thing, but it showed that if you want to see quality wrestling, TCW is the place to come. Arthur Dexter Bradley has officially been called up to the main roster - but he shouldn't get too excited. He's a solid if unspectacular worker, and is expected to mainly work on the pre-show.</p><p> </p><p>

Sean McFly was approached about a contract, but when USPW offered a four year deal with Creative Control at a 50% premium to Aaron Andrews, it wasn't happening. He's had some great matches this year, but he's 50 in 4 years time...</p><p> </p><p>

BHOTWG go big on the back of Sensational Dragon winning the Super Juniors and sign BCG's SUKI, while FCW add Mick Muscles, Atlas, Doug Peak, Maliek Chamberlain, Lead Belly, Michael Bull and TCW's Chance Fortune and Dusty Ducont to their roster.</p><p> </p><p>
