Glad to see you didn't take the COTT title off of Rodriguez, even though I know it's tempting haha

1. Main Event - Blowoff match: Sayeed Ali vs Davis Wayne Newton

DWN is easily your best worker, he ultimately should probably be the one to dethrone Dee, and this is a good start.

2. Semi-Main - 4C Championship: Frankie Dee © vs Jamie Atherton vs Phenomenal E

Please push Atherton (WHY WONT STRIKE CODE WORK) Dee shouldn't lose but man is Atherton a tempting choice. His charisma and whatnot are top notch and he's a great worker.

3. 4C Tag Team Championship : Death Row © vs ?? (a former 4C tag champion returns)

Always gotta go with the ??? The Gilbert Brothers are free agents and still good workers with similar pop to Death's Row. I'd bet on them.

4. 4C Harcore Championship: Alan Parent © vs Clutch McKane

Not time yet.

5. Tag Team Showcase: Rock City Stars vs Barry Kingman/Chuck Casey vs Aces of Mayhem

These guys are hilariously good. Easily the best of the three teams, and they deserve a push.

6. Fabulous Ones (Rayne Man/Quentin Queen) vs Mosher & Shiva (another former tag champions return)

I actually really like Shiva, but I expect the push for The Fabulous Ones to be glorious.

It was tempting to be honest but I have a long term storyline planned regarding the COTT titles as i want to bring more of the alliance to play so that's why taking the title was not an option.

CAGE RAGE XV

Saturday, W4 April 2020

Held in Twin Elm Park @Montreal

429 fans

Shown on WrestleWorld (39,101 viewers)

429 paying fans arrive at the Twin Elm Park to check out the 15th edition of Cage Rage, our biggest attendance so far in 2020. A event which is always known for big title matches, new signings and comebacks. The first big event in the 4C calendar and tonight is no less with 4 matches to be held inside steel cage, 4C, tag team and hardcore championship and the main event, the blowoff match to the feud between Sayeed Ali and Davis Wayne Newton. If Ali fails to win, he will not be able to contest for the 4C title for one whole year.

Fabulous Ones promo

Once again the Fabulous Ones make their way to the ring.

Rayne Man
:
2 matches, 2 wins. The Fabulous Ones are on roll baby. The train ain’t stopping now

Quentin Queen
:
But we are still on the bottom of food chain. Cage Rage, one of the biggest nights in 4C, a night which has launched or ended several careers in this promotion and what do we get? An opening match against yet another crackpot team!! Mosher & Shiva really!!

Rayne Man
:
Sounds more like name of some cheap third rate pornstars and they are former champions here!! I am shocked. No wonder this promotion went down or who in their sensible mind can see these two being champions.

Quentin Queen
:
Afraid not Montreal, you don’t have to see them much as we fully plan to finish this under 10 minutes and then we will keep coming back until we break the ceiling.

Fabulous Ones vs Mosher & Shiva

- Mosher & Shiva came out to some nice little pop as they had some following due to their previous works with 4C and they looked good having tagged together after 2 years as they were previously going solo in the indies.

- But the Fabulous Ones have been growing from strength to strength and they displayed much more cohesion than they had when they first tagged in January. A couple of high low tandem kicks and an inverted atomic drop/running clothesline combo later, Queen picked up the pinfall with a Q-Ball although it didn’t come under 10 minutes as they had promised before.

Winner
: Fabulous Ones with Quentin Queen over Shiva via Q-Ball

Rock City Stars vs Barry Kingman & Chuck Casey vs Aces of Mayhem

- Casey was still pretty green although he was getting better tagging with Kingman but they went out pretty early when Kingman Clutch was overturned by Mayhem before he hit the Chaos Effect.

Elimination: Barry Kingman & Chuck Casey by Aces of Mayhem (Max pinned Kingman with Chaos Effect)

- The remaining two teams were pretty experienced and we saw a lot of counters and near-falls but ultimately it was the Rock City Stars who gained the upperhand when Turner threw Mayhem on the steel steps before he hotshots Youngblood on the ropes. A Cover Version (think MNM’s Snapshot) followed and we had a winner.

Elimination: Aces of Mayhem by Rock City Stars (Stan Manna pinned Ace Youngblood with Cover Version)

Winners

After a small toilet break when the ring was being prepared for the next four matches, we see the unforgiving steel cage being lowered down.

Smith
: It’s cage time folks. Hold on to your seats because the next 90 minutes, we are bringing you four cage matches. Blood will be spilled, careers may end but after the night, no one will be same again.

Start of a new alliance

A familiar face makes his way to the arena and the crowd pops hard for it. It’s the former 4C manager Katie Cameron.

0tQpsams.jpg

Heya there Montreal. Long time missing in action. It feels good to be finally back in here. Guess you all missed me. Well I was having a good life ever since 4C died, working a great job, building my new house and having some oh-so-delicious romps.

Crowd chuckled at the comment.

But one lazy Sunday, I decided to flip through my DVD collection and checked out the Best of 4C which I hold several volumes of and I was hooked. Most of the matches featured some or other of my client and that made me aware what I was missing. I was not meant for a 9 to 5 job, no I was meant for building careers and creating opportunities. So, when 4C re-opened, I just knew I had to get back here. But going through the current roster, I realized that there is only one man who is worth the management of Katie Cameron, the one man who has created a path so shiny that nobody dare comes near him. So, I called him up and offered him my services and soon we agreed. So, ladies and gentleman, Cameron Agency is up and running and here I offer you the first client of the agency………..the Hardcore Champion……………..the Submission Demon………..

Alan Parent © w/ Katie Cameron vs Clutch McKane

- McKane was wary of getting into the cage with Parent and he tried stalling the proceedings but Cameron called the hell out of him, mouthing insults and daring him to start the match. With Clutch distracted, soon Parent took over with his armoury of holds and locks and Clutch was reeling.

- He tried some risky stunts like a splash on the cage wall but Parent was well aware of it and he moved out of harm’s way forcing McKane to crash himself. Thereafter, it was a mere formality as the Parental Lock comes out and Clutch had to tap. He kept on the lock again just like last month and only after Cameron instructed to let go did he leave.

ecR85PHs.jpgE2DSxXos.jpgDjOlgzRs.pngrVPCnpys.jpgexCikams.jpg

Death Row © vs Gilbert Brothers

- The match started with the familiar spot of the Gilberts when they both smacked the champs across their face with the hockey sticks and then things went crazy. If somebody could match Death Row’s intense brawling style, it was them and they showed as they took Shady and Knuckles to task using the cage efficiently. Face rubs, fireman’s carry on the cage wall, double con-hockey-tos and what not was executed to wild cheers from the crowd as the champs were bleeding hard.

- The Penalty Box (DDT on hockey stick/running punt combo) was hit and crowd went up again expecting a new champion. But Knuckles kicked out at 2. They try the Penalty Box again on Shady but he broke out of the DDT and whips Jesse right into Joe as they both crash on the corner post. He picks up the hockey sticks and goes insane smashing upwards of 10 shots to both the brothers. With Knuckles slowly recovering, the champs got momentum back on their side. They pick up Jesse and repeatedly slams him on the cage almost breaking the wall. With no energy left in him, Death Sentence was hit and the champ retains in one of their toughest matches.

Winner
: Death Row with Knuckles over Jesse Gilbert via Death Sentence
(defense #3)

Grade: 45

Post Match Attack

ecR85PHs.jpgE2DSxXos.jpgrVPCnpys.jpgexCikams.jpg

Not content with winning and frustrated that they almost got beat, they picked up Joe Gilbert and inflicted the same treatment that they had to Jessie, repeatedly slamming him on the cage wall and this time the wall broke. They hit the Death Sentence again and lay Joe beside his brother as the 4C staff hits the ring to prevent any more damage.

Frankie Dee © vs Jamie Atherton vs Phenomenal E

- Both E and Atherton were well known by the fans for their work elsewhere and so they enjoyed some support from the crowd but when you are taking on a wrestler of the calibre of Frankie Dee, you need more than that. E was wrestling after a full 8 months and his ring rust showed as he was slow in his transitions which was easily taken advantage of by the other two.

- Atherton on the other hand was a star in the making and he brought his brand of action that had made him the headliner in ACPW, with his top rope and springboard moves taking Dee to the limit. A Lightning Bolt (top rope double knee stomp) was hit on E who had already suffered much misery and Atherton went for a shock pin but Dee managed to pull him out.

- Thereafter it was a treat to watch this two going at it, the highlights being a Pele Kick from Dee which broke the teeth of Atherton, a springboard elbow smash from Atherton which hit Dee right between the eyes and a plethora of DDT’s and counter-DDT’s. When Dee went face first on the cage wall and started bleeding, it was the chance that Atherton needed and he went for a Lightning Bolt but Dee rolled through the pinfall attempt and got a near victory before he hits his lethal Shinanju Kick and ensures the win second time around.

- After the match Dee raised the hand of Atherton. He may have won but he had to fight very hard and Atherton gained respect of the champ as he had matched Dee in every aspect in this match.

Winner
: Frankie Dee via pinfall over Atherton with Shinanju Kick

Smith
: All our champs retain but this was a very close one and it is surely a contender for 4C Match of the Year. What a title fight but we don’t have time to relax folks as next up the war which was been brewing right from the start as Davis Wayne Newton and Sayeed Ali goes face to face in the unforgiving cage to bring this to the end.

Backstage Segment

pm71JYEs.jpg

Sayeed Ali, the 4-time 4C champ, the East Side Assassin, a cult hero in these parts. People love you; they love your personality; they love your fights but guess what they are wrong. How can you love a sociopath whose only aim is to hurt people and reel off abuses? How can you love a person who only loves the scent and sight of blood and will not flinch in sending people to hospital? No, you can’t because that is a character not worth appreciating. No, you don’t get to be cheered as that is wrong on every moral levels. I don’t know how you managed to make this moronic crowds lap up your brand of bullshit that you spew every time you open your mouth but that stops now. I, Davis Wayne Newton, the Triple Threat will make sure tonight that I end your aspirations in whichever way possible. With no championship opportunities for one whole year which I will ensure, you will soon become a footnote while Canada witness the rise of the Triple Threat.

Blowoff Cage Match

pm71JYEs.jpgDjOlgzRs.pngvpQQ4aJs.jpg

Davis Wayne Newton vs Sayeed Ali

- This was a war. Ali and Newton went at it as though they had been waiting for this moment their entire career. It was a brutal brawl with both having their moments and the momentum swinging either side throughout the match. Some big highlights were an axe handle off the top rope from Newton, a decapitating discus lariat from Ali and boot choke to Ali on the cage wall.

- The first big moment came when Ali countered a clothesline off the ropes into a bone crushing scoop slam. He then carried Newton and after dropping him on two consecutive ring posts, hits the GBH Driver. With crowd up in unison, Newton dashed their hopes kicking out at 2.9.

- A couple of reversals later, Newton grabbed a piece of the steel cage which had come off during the many matches and he proceeded to dump it over Ali before choking him again with his boot. With Ali losing too much blood, Newton grabbed the opening and hit the Threat Nullifier to get the win and send the crowd into mourning.

Winner
: Davis Wayne Newton

Grade: 50

Smith
: We are shocked. The cult hero of 4C, Sayeed Ali has fallen which means he will not be able to fight for the 4C Championship for one whole year. An unexpected end to what has been an absolutely enthralling night.

Damn, almost got the clean sweep! Another good show, I've been looking forward to these updates.

Ya almost. Just that Death Row is not ready to lose the titles yet. :)

Thanks for your continued support man. It feels good that your writing is appreciated by someone. The next segment will be a derailing one though as we are set to lose a major star.

My problem is I recently did a Canadian game and literally used Death Row to put over less popular guys like my custom Stone and DeColt boys, Ernest Youngman, and whatever ACPW guys I had scooped at the time. I did the same with the Gilbert's. I have to stop looking at them as just a jobber team haha,

Ok, I get it now.

Prediction Results

Chisoku - 13/18

EpicCorey - 5/12

Dalton - 4/6

Chisoku almost gets 100% and gets the bonus point for correctly guessing Gilbert Brothers.

The prediction contest will run till our second big event, Do or Die which is 4 in-game months away from now.

Champ No More

vpQQ4aJs.jpg7BMQCgHs.jpg

6 hours before the show

I get a call. It's Dee. I hope he is not running late. We need to prepare for his match against Atherton and E, especially as it is the first match of those two in 4C.

"Hey Dee, what's up"

"Hi Ali, I just called as I wanted to let you know something. I am leaving 4C"

"What? Leaving 4C!! What the f*ck are you talking about?"

"Just signed an exclusive with Burning Hammer. You know how it was a dream for me to wrestle for those guys. Finally, it came true."

I was screwed. I didn't know what to say. The crowd was just warming up to his title reign.

"That's great for you Dee but you should have told me before we advertised for Cage Rage!!! We can't go back now"

" I am sorry Ali, I really am but they didn't confirm until today so I had no idea whether they would take me in or not. I can drop the title to Atherton or E if you want"

And you think that will look good on us. A new man taking the title on his first night when he have myself and Newton busting our asses from Day 1 and we are still more over than them. Come on Dee.

Well, you know what. Go out there, have a great title defense and then just go out and get the hell out of here, you ain't getting any f*king farewell.

Cage Rage last month, my lowest point ever. I got beaten by Newton in a bloody war and now I am unable to fight for the 4C Championship, the title which I have won 4 times, more than any other person in the goddamn 16 year history of this organization and only equaled by Frankie Dee who spitted on that legacy when he couldn't resist the big lights and went to Burning Hammer.

But now i have to wait for one full year if i have to add to that legacy as i don't want to be on the same page as Dee. No, i bleed 4C, i made this organization and i will be damned if i need to share my spot with anyone.

So, now there is still a belt which i would like to bring here. We are part of the alliance COTT which has been making waves all over North America. And no 4C wrestler has ever won the COTT World Heavyweight title. As the father and the saviour of 4C, i would very much like that opportunity but i had been denied a title shot as Pablo pinned me right in the middle in our last match and so apparently, i need to prove myself before i get another chance.

Now, i can play that game. Hell, i have been playing this game right from my childhood. I had to prove myself time and again to everybody out there and i sure as hell not letting another test rough me up. So, starting this month at Wrestling Showcase, i challenge every champion of the COTT partner promotions to come face me in my yard every month. I beat the crap of each and every one of them and then, you can't deny me my chance.

Then Sayeed Ali, The East Side Assassin will take his place in the history books as the first ever 4C COTT World Heavyweight Champion.

Gilbert Brothers vs Bailey & McKane vs Kingman & Casey

- Gilbert Brothers returned last month to the promotion to big pop but they failed to win the titles. They are looking to get back up in the rankings and they make a great start to that utilising their near 21 year tag experience with each other to dominate the match.

- After a couple of haymakers, it was the youngster Chuck Casey who fell prey to a Penalty Kick from Joe Gilbert as they got the pin.

Winner
: Gilbert Brothers (Joe Gilbert over Chuck Casey via Penalty Kick)

Grade: 48

Joe
:
Cage Rage last month, we return to 4C and it felt good. We were back home after what seemed like forever even though it was just a year. You know why?

Jesse
:
Because nobody came calling for us. Ever since 4C closed last year, we didn’t get a single call, not inside COTT, nor outside and we started doubting ourselves. Are we finished? Had the Gilbert Brothers run their course?

Joe
:
And then we get the invite last month and when you cheered on our entry, that changed everything. That made us realise that we are still remembered. We still carry weight around this parts and that’s when we decided we are here to stay.

Jesse
:
Yes guys, we are not going so fast. Next month we win the Blood Brothers tournament and then we go on to win our 4th tag title.

Smith
: Oh that came straight from the heart. Gilbert Brothers speak very rarely but when they do, people listen. And of course, they talk about the Blood Brothers tournament, the premier 4C tag team trophy which will be back after a gap of 6 years. More details on that later.

Fabulous Ones vs Aces of Mayhem

- The next match featured a team which has been on the rise ever since they first tagged together, the Fabulous Ones and they showed why they have been making waves with slick moves mixed with blatant cheating.

- Ace Youngblood was the danger man though, getting a tag in and going all out on his chops targeting the chest of Rayne Man and when Queen tried interfering, he was met with a big right hand. He was halted with an eye rake though when ref was checking on Queen and then an impact DDT gave the match back to the heels. Queen was tagged in and he finished it off with the Q-Ball and Aces of Mayhem lose yet another match.

Winner
: Fabulous Ones (Quentin Queen over Ace Youngblood via Q-Ball)

Katie
:
For the last four months, you have seen my client breaking and bulldozing the entire hardcore division and there has not been a single person who has managed to come close to unseating the submission demon. Yet, he is forced to be slotted in meaningless title defences against opposition who is not fit to even lace his boots.

But if the 4C management so insists, we are happy to oblige but don’t blame us when the hospital bills come piling up on you because SUBMISSION DEMON will ensure that unless you give in to our demands.

Daredevil Aero vs Canadian Crusher vs Alan Parent © w/ Katie Cameron

- 4C decided to pile up challengers against Parent in hope of giving him some tense moments but the submission demon is on a different point altogether and it showed in his performance as he punished both of them again without using any weapons.

- The stunt bump came from Aero as he moonsaulted on the top of Crusher on a pile of chairs to take himself and the big man out. Parent was virtually untouched as he broke the arm of Crusher by locking his arm around the ring and then cranking it hard unleashing screams of anguish from him.

- A Parental Lock followed on Aero who tapped almost immediately as another defense was made by the champ without even breaking a sweat. Also just like his other matches, he kept on the lock till the support staff arrived.

Winner
: Alan Parent
(defense #4 of 4C Hardcore Championship)

Death Row © vs Rock City Stars

- Rock City Stars came into the match the underdogs but they performed very much like the favourites, at least initially. With crowd fully behind them they busted in some new moves, especially Stan Manna who invented a new move dubbed the Headbanger (brainbuster on ropes) which could have got the pin if Knuckles wouldn’t have thrown his leg on the bottom rope.

- Shady turned it around with some big elbow smashes on the back of Turner’s head and he got out of a Cover Version attempt and hit his own cutter. Tagging in his tag partner, they quickly isolated Turner and after Manna fell to a boot from Knuckles, it was Ryan all alone as the Death Sentence was hit and yet another defense was notched up.

Katie
:
Mr. Ali, your video earlier in the month on the 4C website has been drawing major attention across COTT and now we have got a person who has challenged you. So, what do you have to say about your match with Bradley Blaze.

Ali
:
Hmm, Bradley Blaze, the Dallas Cowboy, the Mid Atlantic Champion and a hard as nuts brawler just like me. Interesting but one thing that all of you forgot, I am not just a brawler, I am a goddamn street fighter. He can only use his fists while I show him why they call me the East Side Assassin. I will drop his head on the mat, stomp on that and when he is begging me to let go, then everyone will realise who Sayeed Ali is all about.

Sayeed Ali vs Bradley Blaze

- Just as Ali mentioned, Blaze knew only one way to fight, using his heavy fists occasionally peppered with leg drops and stomps but he used them effectively until Ali kicked out of a Blaze of Glory.

- Then he snapped and went to town on the MAW Champion with his patented fists and brutal uppercuts. After a side headlock transitioned into a running bulldog, Ali finally set everything up for the GBH Driver which was hit effectively and he was the winner.

Davis Wayne Newton vs Remmy Skye vs Phenomenal E vs Jamie Atherton

- E & Atherton worked together at the beginning against Skye and Newton but that alliance broke pretty soon as they started trading blows while Skye and Newton started assaulting each other. Very soon the first elimination came when E was dropped head first on the apron by Atherton before he was kicked right in the jaw by Skye who then climbed the top rope and hit the Drop of Skye to get the first elimination.
(Elimination 1: Phenomenal E by Remmy Skye)

- Remmy didn’t survive for long though as Newton and Atherton was now on the ring and having a hot series of fight sequences when Skye came in and broke the momentum with a double diving clothesline. After all three hit their moves on each other, it was Atherton who took the initiative when he snapshots Skye off the ropes before a dropkick sends Newton out of the ring. A Lightning Bolt hit and Skye was eliminated.
(Elimination 2: Remmy Skye by Jamie Atherton)

- While Atherton was catching his breath and playing to the crowd, Newton went for the kill and a kick to the gut followed by a Threat Nullifier and the Triple Threat is the new champion.
(Elimination 3: Jamie Atherton by Davis Wayne Newton)

Winner
: Davis Wayne Newton

Blood Brothers 2014

What a tournament we have had so far. Thunder & Lightning vs Bailey & McKane. Thunder & Lightning has had an iron grip on the tournament so far, winning it the last 2 years. Can they make it a hattrick?

-

McKane has Jason Thunder reeling on the ground. Lomas tries to get in the ring but is dropkicked by Bailey. They are surrounding Thunder now. They go up the ropes, Bailey & McKane at the same time.....Double Missile Dropkick. Bailey pins and they have won. Bailey & McKane did it. They have broken the grip of Thunder & Lightning. It's the first time since Malone & Drake won it in 2011 that a new team has won the tournament. They get a shot at Gilbert Brothers tag titles at a match of their choosing. That's all we have for you tonight.

Blood Brothers 2010

It's the 1st ever Blood Brothers tournament final and what a bout we have. The defending tag team champions Thunder & Lightning taking on the hockey stick wielding Gilbert Brothers. The winner takes all.

A running boot has Lomas crashing to the ground. Jason comes from the top rope with a diving clothesline. Joe is taken out. A splash attempt to Jesse is ducked and Jason crashes chest first on the exposed corner buckles. He is hurt badly, Jesse sees an opening and Penalty Kick. Gilbert Brothers are winners of the first Blood Brothers tournament and the new tag team champions. They win the title for the 1st time. What an explosive final we just witnessed.
