Exeter
Is there a preferred way to do this without making the worker angry or causing a Strong Dislike relationship? My understanding of ongoing handshake deals was that a worker would expect to work most shows up until we had another conversation about it, and that would be that. I never thought there'd be any expectation of job security. Should I be re-negotiating to a one-month deal so it can naturally expire rather than releasing them, in order to avoid the malus? This seems very game-y, but I'd rather avoid some of my ex-workers refusing to work for me again because I've been unknowingly upsetting them by releasing them from these handshake deals. They don’t stay mad if they had good morale in your company before. They’ll come back.
soxfan93
I wouldn't see negotiating a one month deal as gamey, it seems more like giving notice.
