Marshall Dillon w/ Ranger [vs] 'The Con Man' Sammy Smoke

The Sharp Shooters (Gilmore & Morgan) [vs] The Pain Alliance w/ Des Davids and Primus Allen - With no Primus, I think the Shooters take down the Pain Alliance B-team.

'Sensational' Steven Parker [vs] 'Rough Justice' Tommy Cornell w/ Eric Eisen

'The Disco Stud' Robbie Retro [vs] ??? - Toss-up here but let's go with it.

Hawaiian Crush [vs] The Keith Twins w/ Eric Eisen

'The Supreme Star' Spencer Spade w/ Dulce Moreno [vs] 'Big Money' Brandon James w/ The Heroes Guild

Time To Smash

We kicked off the show with Atom Smasher, and his Heroes Guild heading to the ring...

jphOiNe.pngAZCclqY.pngldDrQgQ.pngjGDynPL.png

Atom Smasher:
“FEAR NOT, CITIZENS...!! At Times Of Trouble... Myself and 'Big Money' will enter the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match... Hopefully at the same time... and we... will DOMINATE that match... Now I've heard you citizens comment online... I've heard the whispers... 'Big Money' is gonna throw me out of the match, and then go on to win the whole thing, right...?! Because that way, he can do whatever he wants at Supreme Challenge due to the terms of winning the match... But nooooo... That is NOT going to happen... See Brandon James has seen the light... He knows his path... He knows what he has to do now...”

James shook his head in the background... and folded his arms... looking extremely unimpressed by Smasher... as he often has in recent weeks and months...

Atom Smasher:
“Brandon James... is one of the BEST to ever do it... A match like this, SUITS him...!! But he's not the favourite to win it... You miscreants KNOW who the fav...”

Before 'The Radioactive Wrecking Machine' could finish, he was interrupted by someone who is a genuine favourite to win it too... accompanied to the ring by his girlfriend Dulce Moreno, 'The Supreme Star' Spencer Spade...

ipAGAUa.pngiCtoiyC.png

Spencer Spade:
“Hey Smasher... Everyone knows what you were gonna say... You were gonna say
you're
the favourite to win the Rumble... and you are... ONE OF, the favourites... But Hero... You are looking at THE favourite...!! I respect you... I respect Brandon James... But I'm winnin' the whole thing... and I'm headin' to Supreme Challenge... To be the 'Supreme Star'... and BEAT Eric Eisen...!! It'll be the BEATING of a lifetime...!!”

Smasher said that if Spade wants to prove his mettle, he can... tonight... Against 'Big Money' Brandon James... Everything seemed fairly respectful... It was clear they all just wanted to win the Rumble... As they all have something in mind for Supreme Challenge... The overall winner of the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match gets to do ANYTHING they want at Supreme Challenge... as long as it doesn't affect the World Heavyweight Title Match... which is set in stone, as Rocky Golden versus Tommy Cornell...!!

Marshall Dillon w/ Ranger [vs] 'The Con Man' Sammy Smoke

Sammy Smoke is on fire right now, and another win on TV tonight makes him 10 and 0 in 2020! He did a good job of running away from Marshall Dillon early on, but ran into trouble in the form of Ranger, who threw him back into the ring. He somehow survived the onslaught from the big Cowboy, and turned the tables on him in his usual way; by throwing a deck of cards at his opponent! The deck bounced off of Dillon's ear, and Smoke followed up by winning it with his 'Ace In The Hole'! He got out of the ring as quickly as possible as Ranger slid into the ring following the final bell!

PLTNM Announcement

The owner of PLTNM Records, James Prudence had something to say backstage, and he had grabbed a camera man...

O8CevMB.png

James Prudence:
“People... Pretenders... Keep getting added to the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match... and I'd like to confirm, that I, have been given a spot too... But that's not all...!! I have a BIG surprise for everyone...”

Prudence said he wouldn't spoil it... but everyone should watch the Times Of Trouble Rumble with a vested interest... But to the surprise of everyone, especially Prudence, veteran former multi-time Champion in the SWF: Brett Biggins walked up...

P3jugYD.png

Biggins pulled up a bar stool, and arrogantly perched in front of Prudence, as if he wasn't there... He faced the camera, but his gaze was slightly off to the left of the camera... and he spoke as if Prudence wasn't there, and he was a talking head on some kind of a documentary...

Brett Biggins:
“Oh, I mean, I'll definitely be watching The Times Of Trouble Rumble closely... Matter of fact... I've been told I'm IN the match... But I didn't believe James Prudence when he said he had a big surprise for everyone... Let's face it... it's probably something lame like the time he announced he owned a record label... MAN I hate that guy...!!”

Prudence couldn't believe what he was seeing, or hearing... Biggins just scooped up his stool, and walked away...!!

The Sharp Shooters (Gilmore & Morgan) [vs] The Pain Alliance w/ Des Davids and Primus Allen

Angry Gilmore and Joey Morgan sent a message to the tag team division with this win, dominating their big, strong, opponents. They managed to avoid Des Davids and Primus Allen's attempted cheating, and then Gilmore locked Kurt Laramee in his 'Anger Management' Arm Bar, and he had to tap!

Shoot Over The Top Rope

The Sharp Shooters may have avoided the cheating from the outside, but they couldn't avoid Des Davids and Primus Allen when the final bell rang...

KTzhMvz.pngyLusAWC.pngRKTzRoK.pngn2SKFWv.pngTD8PvQz.pngFsDi8Ga.png

The Pain Alliance all got into the ring, and began throwing Gilmore and Morgan around... Primus threw them BOTH over the top rope, in a display of dominance, and then grabbed a microphone...

Primus Allen:
“Take a good look...!! Yu know what... Get 'em back in here...!!”

Allen ordered Davids and Big Smack Scott to retrieve the Sharp Shooters, and slide them back into the ring... He then threw them both back over the top rope, and to the floor...!!

Primus Allen:
“The Pain Alliance... formed to DOMINATE... and take this place OVER... But now... We're being held DOWN... We've been told... We only have TWO spots in the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match... So I'm here to tell you... It's going to be Des Davids... and ME...!!”

Allen demanded his troops got Gilmore and Morgan back into the ring, so he could throw them over the top rope for a third time...!! But they got interrupted by the arrival of 'Sensational' Steven Parker...

E5zWxLz.png

Parker was due to be in action in the very next match, against the incomparable Tommy Cornell... but his arrival, combined with the re-emergence of Gilmore and Morgan allowed the Sharp Shooters to run the Pain Alliance off...

Steven Parker:
“HEY... PRIMUS...!! The Sharp Shooters ALSO have two spots in the Rumble... Joey (Morgan) and I will catch your ass there... if we don't see you before...!! As for Angry Gilmore... He's got something else in mind...!! You'll all find out a little later...”

'Sensational' Steven Parker w/ The Sharp Shooters [vs] 'Rough Justice' Tommy Cornell w/ Eric Eisen

Parker and Cornell put on an exceptional match here, but it was almost ruined by Eric Eisen pulling Parker's leg as he came off the ropes. Parker didn't have to confront Eisen though, because Gilmore and Morgan made their way around the ring to his location. However, the distraction was enough for Cornell to drop Parker with his 'Rough Ride' and score the win.

Rough Night Ahead

After the match was over, Angry Gilmore and Joey Morgan confronted Tommy Cornell... but 'Rough Justice' backed away, and stood behind Eric Eisen... The Trust began to leave, but Gilmore grabbed a microphone...

E5zWxLz.pngKTzhMvz.pngyLusAWC.pnglG0JIFu.pngOd4u4NM.png

Angry Gilmore:
“Tommy... You've had a couple of big matches since you got here... Including against Parker, right there... But there's one match... that nobody thought they would EVER see... and since, I'm not in the Times Of Trouble Rumble... and with your Everything To Gain Contract, you don't
need
to be in the Rumble... So how about we do the match that EVERYONE wants... Tommy Cornell... versus ANGRY... GILMORE...!?”

Cornell smiled as he stepped through the ropes... and waved Gilmore off... claiming he wasn't on Cornell's level...

Angry Gilmore:
“Oh I get it... I do... I get it... You're worried... Because when you're in the ring with me... You get TRAPPED... and then you either SNAP... TAP... NAP... Or uncontrollably CRAP...!! And I don't think you're man enough to go until you snap or nap...”

Cornell didn't like having his manhood questioned, and told Gilmore he was ON... Despite Eisen's protests...!! Eisen said that Cornell doesn't have to accept the match... He can rest ahead of his World Heavyweight Title Match with Rocky Golden at Supreme Challenge..!!

Times Of Trouble?

Backstage, 'The Dragon' Mikey Lau confronted 'Mainstream' Jimmy Hernandez about their match last week... that ended in a time limit draw...!!

kf4yetU.pngbpb4Ej1.png

Mikey Lau:
“A time limit draw... is NOT enough...!! If I would have had another, say, 3 seconds... I'd have beaten you... and you KNOW it...!!”

Hernandez denied it, and told Lau that he doesn't know what he's talking about...

Jimmy Hernandez:
“I know you've got a Dragon on your back Mikey... and I know that probably weighs heavy on your mind sometimes... but I would have kicked out of that 'Dragon Whip'... You couldn't beat me, if, if, if the match was an HOUR...!!”

Mikey Lau:
“I'd beat you in TEN minutes...!!”

Hernandez said that Lau is talking nonsense... but he'll give 'The Dragon' a chance next week... Win in ten minutes, and Lau can have a North American Title shot at Times Of Trouble...!! Lau accepted the challenge... and the match was booked for next week...!!

Burying The Hatchet Part One

We cut to a strange scene next, at a restaurant... The two members of The Awesomeness walked in, not sure about who they'd find meeting them when they got there...

SsLnF4J.png3P2h5QM.png

Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball are proud SWF World Tag Team Champions... and they've certainly benefited from being members of The Unleashed Rat Pack in recent months... But their place in the group has been called into question... Especially since the leaders of the faction: Randy Unleashed and Hollywood Bret Starr just became number one contenders for their Tag Team Titles!! Stardust and Cannonball made themselves known to the waiter, and he walked them to their table... They nearly turned around and left when they found Randy and Starr sat at the table...!!

Huey Cannonball:
“What the HELL are you two doing here...?!”

aygBevz.png5EEjECi.png

Randy Unleashed:
“We're as surprised as you...!! That stupid IDIOT, Justin (Sensitive) said he'd meet us here...”

Jefferson Stardust:
“He said the same to us... Listen, if it's all the same to you... We're outta here...!!”

Hollywood Bret Starr:
“Wait... maybe we should talk... Cool our jets a little ahead of our match at Times Of Trouble...?!”

Cannonball and Stardust said they'd hear what Randy and Starr had to say... and tentatively pulled their chairs out... We then saw Justin Sensitive sat in a nearby booth, peering over a self-help book and smiling to himself...!!

'The Disco Stud' Robbie Retro [vs] Local Enhancement Talent

An easy night for Retro here, as he made light work of the local enhancement talent across the ring from him. He was a little more serious than he usually is, and looked like a man on a mission. Winning it comfortably with his 'Murder On The Dancefloor'.

Need A Hero

Backstage, Squeaky McClean was interviewing Matty Faith and Remo Richardson about whether or not they have a third partner for their scheduled match at Times Of Trouble... and if they do... is it going to be SWF World Heavyweight Champion: Rocky Golden...!?

WZD9fVi.pnggk4lCk0.png4k1V21U.png

Remo Richardson:
“Yeah, look... Squeaky... We got Rocky Golden...!! There's no World Heavyweight Title defence at Times Of Trouble... We needed a third partner... It's like the stars aligning kinda thing... ya dig?!”

Faith looked happy to be welcoming Rocky to the team... and the three of them will now face Atom Smasher's Heroes Guild... Brandon James, Masked Patriot and Ammac will be their opponents...

Hawaiian Crush [vs] The Keith Twins w/ Eric Eisen

An excellent match here, with various styles on display. Ekuma bullied Greg and Matthew Kieth, throwing them around the ring. High Flyin' Hawaiian threw himself around the ring, jumping on and off of everything, and everyone. In the end though, HFH tapped out to Greg Keith's legendary 'Proton Lock', right before Ekuma could save him.

Sorry Scoundrel

In a pre-taped video, 'The Scoundrel' Rogue was at his house... speaking to the fans in attendance...

ziH8GV8.png

Rogue:
“Last week... My BEST friend Valiant, was choked out, by Scythe... 'The Dark Reaper' also choked Willy LaRoux out two weeks ago too... They're BOTH out... but they'll both be back for the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match...!! As for me... and I can't believe I'm gonna say this... Hooo... But... I'm going to fight at Times Of Trouble... I'm...”

Rogue paused... His usually hard, deep, cockney accent was beginning to break as he spoke... He looked up to the sky... Upon looking down again, the veteran Brit grabbed a bottle, and a glass, and poured himself a whisky...

Rogue:
“I'm gonna do two things... I'm gonna take one for the team, and take a guy who should win the Rumble, OUT of the Rumble... and I'm gonna fight a guy... who hurt my friend, and my protege...!! At Times Of Trouble... 'The Scoundrel' is challenging 'The Dark Reaper'... to a match... Let's see if you can hang with the Dirty, Rotten, Rogue...!! And I'll drink to that...!!”

'The Supreme Star' Spencer Spade w/ Dulce Moreno [vs] 'Big Money' Brandon James w/ The Heroes Guild

Excellent Main Event here, as the crowd got behind both men. The SWF fans don't want 'Big Money' to be Atom Smasher's lackey, and they let him know how much they adore him. They also love Spencer Spade, who was screwed out of the Everything To Gain Contract by Eric Eisen and 'The Trust', So every move each man did was cheered. Atom Smasher stayed out of the match, but whenever Ammac or Masked Patriot got involved, they booed them out of the building. In the end, Brandon James went to the top rope, looking for an axe-handle smash. He's not known for his high-flying, and it showed when he came down and Spade caught him under the chin with his 'Supreme Stunner'!

No Attack

After the match was over, Atom Smasher and Kristen Pearce got into the ring, but the leader of the Heroes Guild ordered Ammac and Masked Patriot to remain on the outside...

8QIP4F9.pngiCtoiyC.pngFJ4WoNv.pngjphOiNe.pngldDrQgQ.pngjGDynPL.pngbFa7GDY.png

After the way Atom Smasher has treated some of the SWF roster in the past, Spade was right to prepare himself for a brawl... but he was wrong to assume Smasher and co. would attack him... Instead, Smasher outstretched a hand for a handshake, which Spade accepted... Brandon James also shook Spade's hand, and wished him luck for the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match...

Atom Smasher:
“Spencer Spade would be a worthy winner of the Times Of Trouble Rumble... YOUR HERO has no doubts about that, citizens... However... having checked the Injury Dossier, you don't appear to be on it... At all... Which worries me... But rest assured... My Heroes Guild will NOT be trying to take you, or anybody else for that matter, out of the match... Your Hero wants a fair fight... So that when I win the ENTIRE match... I know... and I can say for absolute certainty... That I beat... the very BEST, SWF has to offer...!!”

The show went off the air with The Heroes Guild showing yet more respect to Spencer Spade, by allowing him to take in the cheers of the fans... Next week, more names will be added to the Times Of Trouble Rumble, card... and we'll hear from John Greed and 'The Dark Reaper' Scythe...

For some reason I feel like I really need to know who that local jobber we was...

Beats me :D I can't remember!! :D Haha!!

Is our hero turning face or is this simply a ruse for everyone to let their guard down? Whichever one, you're welcome!

Astute observation, that was a babyfacey from Your Hero wasn't it! Hmm...

Interesting build to this. It puts over Hernandez like a coward heel, it gives The Dragon a good reason to challenge. I say The Dragon wins, setting up the NA title match. This looks like it's going to be sort of a best of 5 maybe.

'The Living Legend' Rocky Golden [vs] Masked Patriot w/ The Heroes Guild

13 months champion vs former tag specialist just turned heel after return from injury? Yeah, sounds like a squash.

Angry Gilmore & Joey Morgan [vs] Primus Allen & Des Davids

Match with Cornell coming up. There is nobody pinning Gilmore this weeks.

'The Disco Stud' Robbie Retro [vs] Rough Justice' Tommy Cornell

Actually , harder than it looks on paper. Robbie has done a lot of good stuff lately, beat former North American Champion Des Davids. So i say he loses only by a hair. And gets a hell of a near fall with that small package of his.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey guys. Weird for me to be off the boards for such a long time, and I just thought I'd pop on here and explain my absence because I love this place, and I truly appreciate all your support over the years!

I'm taking an extended break from writing/booking/playing TEW. It's not something I've ever really done to this extent, but I felt it was necessary. I sat down to write one evening, after a week or so of writer's block, and I realised I had no inspiration at all, because I hadn't watched any wrestling for weeks! In fact, since January 2020, I've barely watched any wrestling at all. Dipping in and out here and there, but largely, not watching!

I felt I couldn't write or create shows etc, without having that inspiration to draw from. It also felt strange writing and creating what I call 'fan fiction', but not watching any of the current day product at all.

This post isn't about sympathy, or attention. I just felt I owed you all an explanation. Something I'd been putting off for a while in the hope I'd just 'get back into it'. I'm not saying 'I'm done', and I'm never going to write a show again. But it's been a while since I wrote anything.

My apologies to Togg. Our 2 player 2001/2002 diary was (and is) so much fun. He took a looooong break a while back, and I mocked him massively (as he deserves). But here I am taking what is quickly turning into an even longer break.

Anyway. I do have a bunch of shows written and formatted for both diaries. So here's one. And I'll probably pop on and post some more in the coming weeks :)

Thanks again

Lloyd

On Rocky Terms

We kicked off the show in a way not many people would have expected... As Atom Smasher lead his Heroes Guild to the ring...

dGm9QL1.pngAZCclqY.pngldDrQgQ.pngjGDynPL.pngbFa7GDY.png

Atom Smasher:
“FEAR NOT, CITIZENS... Your Hero, Atom Smasher, is HERE... And as I look around this place... I see things that trouble me... Namely... Rocky Golden... Your SWF World Heavyweight Champion... He's NOT defending his Title at Times Of Trouble... I mean, what kind of CHAMPION... Doesn't defend their Title on a Pay-Per-View...?! People point to his more than twelve month reign as Champion... and that is impressive... but not defending it at Times Of Trouble is... pathetic...!! If I was Champion... I'd defend that thing whenever I got the chance...!!”

Rocky Golden's music hit, while Smasher was still mid-flow... and the SWF World Heavyweight Champion stomped to the ring... The Heroes Guild, including Smasher, stepped out through the ropes as Rocky slid under them...!!

Nji1P45.png

Rocky Golden:
“Oh really...? Is that right...? Well, how about this Smasher... How about everyone's HERO... Goes 1 on 1 with the 'Living Legend' Rocky Golden... TONIGHT...!?”

Atom Smasher:
“Back up Rocky... Slow down there pal... I'll tell you this... Thank you for the offer, and the opportunity... And I can assure you that ONE of us... will fight you 1 on 1, later tonight... And I will confirm which one of us it'll be... in due course...!!”

The Dallas Cowboys [vs] Sammy Smoke & Makutsi

Sammy Smoke and Makutsi have teamed up a number of times now, and won every single time. That's hardly surprising given Smoke's form in 2020. They won again here, against the fun-loving big men, the Dallas Cowboys. For the finish, Smoke threw his deck of cards at Marshall Dillon, but he ducked, and Ranger caught it! Makutsi then slammed into Ranger with his sledgehammer! Somehow, Smoke had grabbed the referee's attention at just the right time!! Dillon attacked Makutsi, and sent him through the ropes, and then Smoke hit his 'Ace In The Hole' (throat punch) to Dillon to score the win.

“Big Money... I am so sorry, I've not been around through all of this...”

Brandon James didn't know what else to do, but hug her!! He's had a tough time lately... having to reluctantly join The Heroes Guild, and do Atom Smasher's bidding... Now, James enters the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match... If he wins, he can choose to do ANYTHING he wants at Supreme Challenge... Thoughts are, he'll choose to fight Smasher, and end his affiliation with him and the Guild...!!

Krissy Angelle:

'The Dragon Mikey Lau [vs] 'Mainstream' Jimmy Hernandez

Mikey Lau versus North American Champion Jimmy Hernandez in a non-title match, with half the normal 20 minute time limit due to their time limit draw two weeks ago. Lau believes he can beat 'Mainstream' in half the time as their first draw, and if he's right, he'll get a North American Title shot. However, as the match began here, Hernandez decided to just avoid Lau, making sure the clock ran down. In the end though, 'The Dragon' was able to hit the 'Dragon Whip' (Twist Of Fate). As he crawled into the cover though, the bell rang, and the match was declared a draw again!!

We cut backstage, and 'The Beast' Remo Richardson confronted 'The Supreme Star' Spencer Spade...

Remo Richardson:
“Spade... I hear you think you're the favourite for the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match...?! Well... I, am in the match... So I'm sorry to inform you... That you are NOT the favourite any more...”

Spencer Spade:
“Wow... Remo... One of the best wrestlers in the entire company... But this match, it's not about being the best... It's about being the smartest... And if anyone thinks they're smarter than me... If YOU think you're smarter than me... Then I got news for ya, Beast...”

Remo had heard enough, and he grabbed Spade by the scruff of his shirt... holding him up against the wall... He smiled at 'The Supreme Star', and dusted him down, before walking away smirking... Spade snapped... He tackled Remo to the floor from behind, and then kicked at the former World Heavyweight Champion... before shouting that the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match was also about having eyes on the back of your head...!!

'The Living Legend' Rocky Golden [vs] Masked Patriot w/ The Heroes Guild

Atom Smasher selected Masked Patriot for this opportunity, against the SWF Word Heavyweight Champion, and it paid off if you're a fan. Rocky Golden and Patriot put on an incredible match here, and deservedly earned Match Of The Night, and the fifth best match of 2020! Rocky has been involved in all of the top six, but Patriot is a strange name to get on that list. For the finish here, Patriot came off the top rope looking for a diving headbutt. But as he leapt, Rocky bounced up, and Patriot hit the mat. As he landed, Rocky planted him with the 'Rocky Road' in an excellent moment, and an excellent finish to the brilliant match. Once the match was over, The Heroes Guild joined the 15,000 strong in the audience, in giving both Rocky and Patriot a standing ovation!

Burying The Hatchet Part II

We cut to the second part of Justin Sensitive's attempt to get his fellow stablemates The Awesomeness, and Hollywood Bret Starr and Randy Unleashed, on better terms... The two teams will fight at Times Of Trouble, for the SWF Tag Team Titles, but Sensitive secretly organised the two teams to meet in a restaurant... We picked t up where we left off...

SsLnF4J.png3P2h5QM.pngaygBevz.png5EEjECi.png

The two teams actually did speak a little, and agreed it's important to bury the hatchet, and make sure they're on the same page, coming out of Times Of Trouble... Regardless of who leaves the pay-per-view with the SWF World Tag Team Titles...

Randy Unleashed:
“Maybe, you'll prove to us, that you're NOT the third best team in the Unleashed Rat Pack... Maybe you'll prove you are in fact the second best... second... to US...!!”

Huey Cannonball and Jefferson Stardust stood up, slamming their hands on the table... Things were going south in a hurry... Randy Unleashed and Hollywood Bret Starr also stood up... and tried to calm the situation a little... Until Cannonball said that he and Stardust are TEN times the tag team, they are... The calm Hollywood Bret Starr suddenly, and quickly, grabbed a FORK... and buried it into Cannonball's hand...!! Justin Sensitive sprung into life... as did Monty Trescarde and Paul Huntingdon, who were also hiding in a nearby booth...

2i6jYhn.pngEYixGON.pnggZCDq1V.png

Sensitive and co. held the two teams apart, but Cannonball's hand was badly wounded... Blood pouring out of it, and down his arm... He got really upset by the attack, and was inconsolable... Sensitive's plan completely backfired, in the worst possible way... and he was upset too... Crazy scenes...!!

Joe Sexy:

DeSousa claimed that he'll also get the most eliminations... and therefore earn a Title shot at ANY Title he wants (apart from the World Heavyweight Title)... and by being the winner of the match, he'll put himself in a big match at Supreme Challenge...!!

Angry Gilmore & Joey Morgan [vs] Primus Allen & Des Davids

Another excellent match, this time featuring two strong tag teams. Allen and Davids are very similar, explosive, and strong, athletes, but they were up against two similarly explosive and strong! Both are smaller in stature than the Pain Alliance members though. For the finish, Joey Morgan was attempting a 'Kimura' on Des Davids, but Primus Allen was the legal man, and he pulled Morgan off of Davids, and slammed him with the 'Running Powerslam'.

Gilmore even got Cornell in the 'Anger Management' Arm Bar at one point... which if he manages to do at Times Of Trouble, he'll score a huge win...!! But it didn't last long... 'The Disco Stud' Robbie Retro [vs] 'Rough Justice' Tommy Cornell

Robbie Retro and Tommy Cornell didn't gel particularly well here, but the match wasn't a long one, as there was still a couple of segments to get to, despite this being the Main Event. Retro danced, and brought the crowd to their feet. He had a fair fight against Cornell, due to his Trust stable being sent to the back. However, it's never truly a fair fight when Tommy Cornell is on one side of the ring. 'Rough Justice' is a phenomenal performer, and he took Retro apart in the end. Rogue was mid-flow, when Scythe's 'friend' (?) John Greed walked up... With his hands up, as if to surrender...

John Greed:
“On behalf of the 'Dark Reaper'... WE accept your challenge... And you can send a message to Valiant and Willy LaRoux for me... Tell them... 'The Eighth Deadly Sin' John Greed is also IN the Times Of Trouble Rumble...!!”

Rogue gulped... It's now official... and he WILL battle Scythe 1 on 1... man to man... all alone, at the Times Of Trouble Pay-Per-View...

We kicked off a historic event, with a look back at the attempts of Justin Sensitive, to get The Awesomeness and Randy Unleashed and Hollywood Bret Starr to 'Bury The Hatchet' on Supreme TV over the past couple of weeks...

SsLnF4J.png3P2h5QM.pngaygBevz.png5EEjECi.png2i6jYhn.png

Instead of burying the hatchet though, Hollywood Bret Starr ended up burying a FORK into Huey Cannonball's hand...!! 'Amazing' Huey Cannonball, is amazingly here, and he'll be competing alongside Jefferson Stardust, with his entire hand taped up... And that match, got us underway here...

The Match of the Night here, for the prestigious SWF World Tag Team Titles. Huey Cannonball's hand was clearly bothering him, and he stayed on the apron for as long as possible. But eventually, the time came for him to tag in and give Jefferson Stardust a rest. He started well, but Randy and Bret soon gained control, using his hand injury against him. Bret stomped on the hand, and then pulled a fork out of his trunks!! Cannonball managed to kick it out of his hands, and then fought Randy in the corner. Cannonball hit 'a 'Cannonball Run' (Sling Blade with Elbow Drop) on Randy, but the move hurt his hand some more. He then walked onto a 'Hollywood Hammer' from Star, who fell into the cover. Stardust almost broke it up, but he couldn't quite get there! New Champions!

Unleashed Rat Pack Implode

BJ O'Neil, Justin Sensitive, and Fame & Money headed to the ring at the conclusion of the match, and looked to celebrate with Randy and Bret... However, the group disagreed with the post-match plans, to continue to beat down Jefferson Stardust and Huey Cannonball...

yfHCAP4.png

Randy grabbed his trusty loaded sock (a sports sock filled with coins), and began whipping Stardust over the back with it... while Bret stomped on Cannonball's already injured hand... Sensitive shook his head, and had his hands on his hips... but Bret came over and slapped him... Fame and Money also didn't get involved, and neither did BJ O'Neil... Nobody could tell if the group was done... But one thing was for sure... The Awesomeness are no longer in the Unleashed Rat Pack...!!

Tommy Cornell's dominance of the SWF roster continued, with an emphatic display here. He's now won 7 matches since losing a six-man tag by disqualification, and has beaten some the best talent that the land of Supreme has to offer. Over the last few years, it's arguable that Angry Gilmore has been THE best performer in the company, so he was a real test for Cornell. Gilmore outwrestled him for much of the match, taking him down at the knees, and controlling the pace. But once 'Rough Justice' managed to gain the upper hand – by stomping on Gilmore's elbow and hyper extending it – there was no going back. For the finish, Gilmore was attempting his 'Anger Management' Arm Bar, but Cornell countered, and managed to hit the 'Rough Ride' to score another victory!

'Rough Justice' Tommy Cornell

'Rough Ride' (Side Effect)

Ruthless Side

Backstage, Remo Richardson found Spencer Spade... After Spade attacked him on Supreme TV... Remo was asking for it, holding Spade up against a wall... and then went looking for 'The Supreme Star' later in the show... Spade got ready for a fight here, but Remo told him to relax...

4k1V21U.pngipAGAUa.png

Remo Richardson:
“I tried to bully you... and then you took me down... and beat me up...!! And THAT is the Spencer Spade that can win the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match tonight... It won't be enough... But it's the Spade we need to see...”

Spade said it WILL be enough, through gritted teeth, and warned Remo he could snap again at any moment... and that if he does, Remo might not make it through the night in one piece... 'The Beast' has two matches tonight as it is, so he backed off... but sarcastically wished Spade good luck, before turning tail and leaving...

A one-sided affair here. For those who think Rogue is 'up to something' with his 'friendship' with Valiant, watching this uncomfortable beating 'The Scoundrel' took, would make you question everything you thought you knew. Rogue challenged Scythe to this match, after 'The Dark Reaper' choked out both Valiant and their protege Willy LaRoux. He claimed he'd take the chance to take Scythe on, and possibly stop him competing in the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match – therefore giving Valiant and LaRoux a better chance of winning. Scythe may have just used this beatdown as a warm-up though, and he may be fresher for the Rumble for it – IF he is indeed competing in the match. For the finish here, Rogue managed to get brass knuckles on his hand as Scythe took him up for a Chokeslam. Rogue hit the masked man HARD on the forehead, but Scythe's mask took the brunt of the impact, and he didn't flinch at all. He just held Rogue up in the air by his throat for a little longer, before slamming him down and pinning him with ease.

The Things We Do For Friendship

After the referee's hand came down for three, Rogue exhaled a long breath... arguably due to pure relief...

He stayed fairly motionless on the mat as Scythe made his exit... looking up at the lights... but a smile crept across his face...

A big spotlight shone on the likes of Matty Faith, Masked Patriot at Ammac here. Patriot had an excellent showing against Rocky Golden on TV this week, and he continued his amazing form with another impressive performance here. Faith and Rocky are very similar athletes, with Faith obviously a fair bit younger, and a little smaller. Remo and Rocky have also always been evenly matched, so The Heroes Guild were up against three big, strong, athletic men. 'Big Money' Brandon James was the star here though, throwing Faith around and standing up to both Rocky and Remo. For the finish though, the excellent Masked Patriot took Remo's 'Destroyer' finisher, and was pinned.

It was now time for the Times Of Trouble Rumble Match... but before we got underway, we got a quick explanation of the match... A 30-Man Over The Top Rope Battle Royale, with a few twists on the old classic... Firstly, the winner of the match earns the ability to make ANY match they want at Supreme Challenge... Or do anything they want... As long as it doesn't affect the Main Event (Rocky Golden defending his SWF World Heavyweight Title, against the Everything To Gain Contract holder Tommy Cornell)... The competitor who lasts the longest in the match, the 'Iron Man' will be able to challenge for any Championship they want – again, apart from the World Heavyweight Title... and whoever scores the most eliminations, will earn a $500,000 bonus...!!

The way competitors enter the match is also unique, with entrants drawing numbers relating to a 'time' to enter the match... 10 men, drew ZERO... and will begin the match in the ring... After five minutes, the 5 men, who drew a FIVE, will enter... 5 men also drew TEN... and they'll enter at 10 minutes... 4 men drew a FIFTEEN.. 3 men drew TWENTY... 2 men are coming in at the TWENTY-FIVE minute mark... and then 1 man, and one man only, drew a THIRTY... and will come in last...!!

And now...

The 10 men who drew a ZERO...

A star-studded line-up in the first ten here. Brandon James had just been in action in a six-man tag team match, and had almost no rest at all. Matthew Keith made sure
he
did have a rest though, as he slid out under the bottom rope to watch the opening five minutes. Primus Allen was on a mission though, and took full advantage of the conflicted and upset Justin Sensitive, making sure he was the first to go. Brett Biggins got on a microphone, and told the fans his opinions on the match as if he was a talking head in a documentary. He said he's not surprised to see Primus start well, as he always starts well and then runs out of steam. Primus reacted by throwing Biggins out over the top rope too! Lenny Brown and Primus Allen fought man to man, until Des Davids clocked his old rival over the back of the head. Allen then eliminated Brown, making it three eliminations. 'The One' then gorilla pressed Oliver Kobb up over his head, and launched him over the ropes, and onto Brown. A dominant opening five minutes for The Pain Alliance leader.

Eliminations:
Justin Sensitive, Brett Biggins, Lenny Brown & Oliver Kobb by Primus Allen (4)

Frederique, the former tag team partner of James Prudence, joined his friend in the match, and this was the 'big surprise' the CEO of PLTNM Records had promised. Primus Allen's dominance was halted by the arrival of Remo Richardson, who much like 'Big Money' Brandon James, had just been in a match – but he was big enough, and is bad enough, to stand up to Allen. Matthew Keith was joined by his brother Greg, and they got into the ring together. 'Mainstream' Jimmy Hernandez replaced Matthew as the man waiting on the outside. Dominic DeSousa made a good start, but was put down by Brandon James. Primus Allen exploded into life late into the five minute spell, and took out both James Prudence and Frederique! But in an effort to halt Allen's momentum, 'Big Money' Brandon James grabbed Des Davids by the back of his head, and sent him up and out of the match!

Eliminations:
James Prudence & Frederique by Primus Allen (6)... and Des Davids by Brandon James (1)

ZWB, Steven Parker and Robbie Wright all headed out here, along with an ex-SWF legend who spent four years in the early 2000s with the company – Texas Pete. We were one short though, as there should have been five men. The ring was filling up now though, and Jimmy Hernandez headed into the ring to fill it further after waiting on the outside a little. The first elimination of this period saw Mikey Lau shock everyone by getting rid of Matthew Keith. Greg Keith followed his twin brother out, at the hands of Remo Richardson. Robbie Wright couldn't believe it. He'd just arrived, and he saw both of his fellow Trust members taken out. Texas Pete's nights work lasted only 2 minutes, because Primus Allen turned into a monster again, and earned a seventh elimination.

Eliminations:
Matthew Keith by Mikey Lau (1)... and Greg Keith by Remo Richardson (1)... and Texas Pete by Primus Allen (7)

With only around half of the five minutes left on the clock, 'The Con Man' Sammy Smoke strolled down the ramp, revealing himself as the fifth entrant who should have been out there at the ten minute mark. Brandon James scored another elimination next, tipping Dominic DeSousa out over the top rope. Remo Richardson also doubled his score by taking care of ZWB, who had also only recently arrived. Then in one of the shocks of the night, Sammy Smoke got rid of 'Mainstream' Jimmy Hernandez! With just seven men in the match

Eliminations:
Dominic DeSousa by Brandon James (2)... and ZWB by Remo Richardson (2)... and Jimmy Hernandez by Sammy Smoke (1)

The chaotic five minute period still wasn't over... Steven Parker and Sammy Smoke had fought each other, trading punches, and attempting to tip each other out over the top rope. They both ended up over the ropes, and on the apron. Again, trading right hand bombs, and both men holding on to the top rope like their lives depended on it. Then out of nowhere, the impactful Primus Allen slammed into both of them and added yet more victims to his growing list of eliminations.

Eliminations:
Steven Parker & Sammy Smoke by Primus Allen (9)

Some real favourites entered next, in the form of Joey Morgan and Spencer Spade. But when Valiant headed out WITH his protege Willy LaRoux, at the same entry point, Robbie Wright did well to last as long as he had, without any other Trust members alongside him. Both Keith Twins were taken out much earlier – and just as Wright had entered. But 'The King Of Charisma's' night was over here, following big Brandon James launching him over the top rope. James was on a roll at this point, and sent LaRoux out over the top rope after Wright, just as the buzzer sounded for the next group of entrants. LaRoux landed hard, and looked like he may have hurt himself.

Eliminations:
Robbie Wright & Willy LaRoux by Brandon James (4)

Much like Valiant and Willy LaRoux, and the members of The Trust before them, Ekuma and High Flyin' Hawaiian entered together, and looked to make a big impact. Ekuma took the newcomer John Greed down early, to ensure he and his tag team partner had the biggest impact at the Twenty Minute mark. Big Ekuma watched HFH fly around the ring, and he could only watch as his friend was thrown out of the match by Brandon James! 'The One' Primus Allen had been on fire tonight, with NINE eliminations on his own. However, as strong and explosive as Allen is, Remo is stronger, and more explosive. Allen tried to eliminate Remo, but 'The Beast' countered him, and tipped him up and out! A bit elimination for Remo, and one of the favourites was done!

Eliminations:
High Flyin' Hawaiian by Brandon James (5)... and Primus Allen by Remo Richardson (3)

Robbie Retro got a huge pop when his music hit, but once he was half-way down the ramp, the biggest pop of the night welcomed The Crippler back to the Supreme Wrestling Federation after over five months out injured. The veteran brawler marled his return by upsetting 'The Hawaiian Strong Man' Ekuma further, by eliminating him. Crippler had Ekuma in an ankle lock, and the big man had to climb the ropes to relieve the pressure. Once he was high enough, Crippler shifted his weight and tipped him out, in a brilliant move, We then lost another favourite to win, as a man who would have been proud of Crippler's actions, Joey Morgan, was taken out by 'The Eighth Deadly Sin' John Greed for his first elimination. He choked Morgan out with a rear naked choke, while Morgan was on the apron. Once Morgan began to pass out, Greed let him go, and he flopped to the apron and then the floor.

Eliminations:
Ekuma by The Crippler (1)... and Joey Morgan by John Greed (1)

Another big pop, for 'Your Hero' Atom Smasher, who was lucky enough to come out at Number 30. The final entrant meant that we had our final nine, but nine soon became eight, when John Greed was taken out by the new arrival Atom Smasher! In a strange moment next, Remo set his sights on Smasher, and battered him into a pulp. As Smasher pulled himself up on the ropes, Remo created some space and began to run at 'Your Hero'. However, Smasher's reluctant fellow Heroes Guild member Brandon James SAVED his 'leader' to one of the loudest cheers of the show. James sacrificed himself to save his leader, but Remo wasn't happy, and he threw another favourite out. James' body hit the floor hard, after competing earlier in the show, and then starting this match. Mikey Lau had been in the match for the longest at this point, after James was taken out, but we lost another favourite for the match next, as The Crippler hit a German Suplex on Valiant, up and over the ropes!! A sickening landing for Valiant, but he left the ring under his own power.

Eliminations:
John Greed by Atom Smasher (1)... and Brandon James by Remo Richardson (4)... and Valiant by The Crippler (2)

Atom Smasher was furious with Remo Richardson, but he was swatted down by 'The Beast'. However, while Remo was dominating Smasher, he didn't notice The Crippler creep up behind him. The veteran managed to tip Remo up and out, in one of the shocks of the night! Remo had taken out Primus Allen and Brandon James, and the three of them had a combined 18 eliminations! But he was gone now. Smasher regained his composure, and got rid of Robbie Retro. 'Your Hero' made sure to shake the hand of 'The Disco Stud'. Smasher was beginning to roll. But Spencer Spade and Mikey Lau were well-rested during this period of the match, and they both got up and started swinging as we went down to four.

Eliminations:
Remo Richardson by The Crippler (3)... and Robbie Retro by Atom Smasher (2)

Spencer Spade and Mikey Lau are no strangers to one another, having fought 1 on 1 at the Awesome Impact pay-per-view, for Spade's Everything To Gain Contract. The two fan favourites turned their attention to each other next, and fought all over the ring. In the end though, Lau went up to the top rope to attempt a high-risk move, and the move was proved to BE high-risk, as Spade popped up, and shoved Lau off the top rope and to the floor for Spade's first elimination! The Crippler was looking to take out another competitor in the form of 'The Radioactive Wrecking Machine', but Atom Smasher had other ideas. He delivered a thumb to Crippler's eye, and then used the partially blinded veteran's momentum against him to throw him up and over the top rope! And we were down to two!!

Eliminations:
Mikey Lau by Spencer Spade (1)... and The Crippler by Atom Smasher (3)

PNsCT2e.jpg

Spencer Spade and Atom Smasher, two men on completely different career paths, and two men with a vastly different 2020 thus far. But they found themselves as the final two, after a night with many, many, potential winners. Veterans returned for one-off appearances, a legendary former multi-time Champion returned from injury, and both veteran and younger talents shone. But it all came down to this. Spade knew that if he could win this match,he'd get a 1 on 1 match with Eric Eisen at Supreme Challenge. Atom Smasher was yet to reveal his plans should he come out victorious, but knowing 'Your Hero', he'd have a creative way to use the reward for winning. Mikey Lau was the 'Iron Man' at this point, and this match would have had to go a fair bit longer to remove him from that position, so 'The Dragon' will be getting a Title shot against any Title he wants – except the SWF World Heavyweight TItle. And with nine eliminations, Primus Allen will earn a $500,000 bonus!!

Spencer Spade looked in control here, using veteran-like instincts, despite being only 29 years old, to get out of trouble a couple of times. At one point, Spade had Atom Smasher over the top rope, and 'The Radioactive Wrecking Machine' had to hold on with all his might, and pull his legs back up to the apron, so he could slide under the bottom rope. Somehow, he and Spade still had a lot of energy, and began to exchange in some fast-paced offence. Just as Spade was beginning to gain some serious momentum, he came off the ropes twice, and gained some speed, but he was put down by a 'Radioactive Blast' (Chest Hadookun) from Smasher. Spade was in agony, holding his chest, and he looked like he didn't know where he was. He attempted a 'Supreme Stunner', but as Smasher spun out of it, he was able to launch forward, and hit a HUGE lariat on Spade, sending him over the top rope and to the floor!! Smasher wins!!

Atom Smashes

'Your Hero' Atom Smasher stood tall... raising his hand and soaking in the cheers of the crowd... He applauded the efforts of Spencer Spade, who looked back at the ring only once, after failing to do what he promised... But the noise from the crowd was all positive for 'The Radioactive Wrecking Machine'... As he celebrated though, his rival, and reluctant fellow Heroes Guild member, 'Big Money' Brandon James headed to the ring...

dGm9QL1.pngFJ4WoNv.png

James only joined The Heroes Guild after losing a match to Smasher at The World Is Watching two months ago... But tonight, not only did James compete alongside Ammac and Masked Patriot (the other Heroes Guild members), but he also sacrificed himself to SAVE Smasher from almost certain elimination in the Rumble... 'Big Money' got into the ring, and looked incredibly intense...

The fans expected him to attack Smasher...

They didn't know how they were going to react...

Smasher had turned into a fan favourite in front of their eyes...

But instead of attacking...

James outstretched his arms, and hugged 'Your Hero' in a tight and meaningful embrace...!!

The show went off the air with James raising Smasher's hand... and we now look forward to Supreme TV next week... What will Smasher choose to do at Supreme Challenge 40...?! Which Title will 'The Iron Man' Mikey Lau challenge for...?! And what will Primus Allen do with that $500,000 bonus...?!
