((A summary of the Vengeance PPV))
WWE Vengeance -The Vengeance Pay-Per-View is now over. Do we have any new champions or did they retain? Read on to find out! John Cena vs. Sabu -The Doctor of Thuganomics took on the hardcore Sabu in this match between WWE and ECW. It was contested under extreme rules, giving the advantage to Sabu. Sabu maintained a strong advantage to start out the match but Cena began rallying back toward the mid-point. Paul Heyman walked out to ringside as Cena set up Sabu for the F-U and Cena waved Heyman into the ring. Paul just shook his head and pointed behind Cena with a huge smile on his face. Cena turned around...into a Sandman cane shot! Both Cena and Sabu hit the ground and the Sandman began pounding on Cena with the cane while Sabu rolled outside and got a chair and brought it in the ring. Sabu went up top and dropped with the Atomic Arabian Facebuster and went for a cover but there was no referee? The referee had been pulled out of the ring by Edge and punched out! Edge rolled in the ring as Sabu got up to see what was going on and Sabu was CRUSHED by a spear! The Sandman, who had left through the crowd, came back and ran off Edge but the damage was done and Cena crawled over getting a pinfall victory over Sabu. Winner: John Cena by pinfall Mick Foley vs. Ric Flair -A 2 out of 3 falls match that will go down in the history books as a classic! Flair began the match working over the knees of Foley in classic Ric Flair fashion. But Foley seemed almost impervious to the pain and came back with an old-school Cactus clothesline that sent both men over the top rope and out to the floor! Mick mounted Flair outside the ring and began punching away on him but didn't realize the referee was still counting! By the time Mick Foley threw Flair back in the ring, the referee had reached ten, giving Flair the first fall! First Fall: Ric Flair by countout Flair begged off as Foley entered the ring with a chair. As Foley brought the chair back, the referee grabbed it and told Mick that if he used it he would lose the match by DQ. An angry Mick turned back to the Nature Boy only to receive a thumb to the eye by Flair. Mick staggered around and Flair landed a chopblock to the back of Foley's knee. Ric strutted for the crowd and released a 'Whoo' which was echoed back by the fans in attendance. Ric turned around and lifted Foley's leg for the figure 4. As he leaned in, Foley wrapped Flair in a small package and the referee counted the three! Second Fall: Mick Foley by pinfall When the hold was broken, Flair got up and started getting in the referee's face! He couldn't believe that Foley had just pinned him with a small package! Flair turned back around to see Foley on his knees with a huge grin on his face. Flair began pounding away on the head of Foley only to see Foley take the punishment! Foley rose to his feet and blocked a punch, grabbing Flair in a side headlock! Flair pushed Foley off into the ropes and Foley came back, stopping right before Flair who had ducked his head too soon! Foley dropped to his knees and took Flair over with a fireman's carry takedown and began wrenching Flair's arm in an arm wringer! Flair couldn't believe the moves that Foley was using! Flair pulled his way to his feet and backed Foley into the corner. He got his arm free and used his hand to deliver those thunderous knife-edge chops that Flair is famous for. Foley finally staggered out of the corner and Flair positioned himself perfectly to land a low-blow where the referee wouldn't see it! Foley dropped down and Flair turned him over, pinning him down with his feet on the ropes! The referee didn't see the extra advantage Flair had and made the three count, giving Flair the win! Winner: Ric Flair by pinfall After that match, Flair was attacked up the ramp by a chair-wielding Foley! Foley seemed to have snapped, leaving Flair a bloody mess as some road agents and officials came running down to seperate the two men. In the background, Paul Heyman could be seen standing just behind the curtain smiling and clapping. Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton -The beginning of this match definitely looked like it was going to be a squash just like their match at One Night Stand. Angle held the advantage for much of the opening minutes, taking everything that the Legend Killer had to offer and countering much of it much to the chagrin of Orton. After a quick break on the outside, Orton came back in and raked Angle's eyes then began taking the advantage with body slams and even a front facelock to focus on the neck of Angle. The crowd rallied behind ECW's Olympic Hero and Angle reversed a knee bar from Orton into the ankle lock! Orton crawled for the ropes and held onto them, pushing hard and sending Angle to the outside. Orton rolled out there shortly after him and whipped him into the steel stairs. Angle was tossed back in the ring and Orton rolled inside, setting him up for the RKO. Angle was slow to rise and staggered around a moment before turning toward Orton. Orton was in perfect position but Angle got out before the move could be finished and grabbed Orton's leg in the Ankle lock again, sitting in it strongly and grapevining the leg so Orton couldn't reach the ropes. It took several minutes for Orton to finally tap out. Winner: Kurt Angle by submission D-Generation X vs. Spirit Squad -Several vignettes had played throughout the night with Vince and Shane McMahon hyping up the Spirit Squad, leading them to a DX cheer as they came out for this match. The old DX music played and the crowd rose to their feet in cheers as Shawn Michaels and Triple H both came out in DX shirts, rolling inside the ring and playing to the crowd. The Spirit Squad looked disgusted with them and tried to take a quick advantage but they were all knocked to the outside of the ring by DX. As Shawn and Hunter stood in the ring, No Chance began playing and Vince McMahon walked out from the back. Vince smiled at the two men in the ring and told everyone that tonight it would not only be a handicap match but it would be a tornado handicap match. Good luck. And Vince ushered the Spirit Squad back in the ring. All 5 men came in and while HBK and HHH tried to fight back they were easily outnumbered by the 5 members of the Spirit Squad. Once that advantage was taken Vince McMahon came walking down to the ring with his power walk and took a chair from the side, tossing it in the ring before he slid in himself. He then announced that this would be a hardcore match where weapons are legal and he had two members of the Spirit Squad hold Triple H as the others kicked Shawn Michaels outside the ring. Vince smiled as he got right up in HHH's face and told him he better listen well because this is what happens when you screw the boss. Vince took his time, trying to decide exactly where he was going to place the chair shot and then brought the chair back only to have it stolen away! He turned to see what happened and was nailed by Sweet Chin Music as Shawn Michaels had gotten up from the outside! Shawn held the chair up and nailed every member of the Spirit Squad that came at him! Triple H had time to recover, then, and rolled out of the ring, looking underneath it and he came up with a sledgehammer! He rolled inside and stood side-by-side with HBK as the members of the Spirit Squad had rolled outside the ring. Triple H turned to the official and told him to start counting, threatening him with the sledgehammer if he didn't! DX held the members of the Spirit Squad at bay with their weapons while the team was counted out of the ring! Winners: DX by Countout IC Title: Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Johnny Nitro -This match was more an example of technical wrestling here tonight as the three Raw superstars did battle. Shelton and Johnny teamed up early in the match to take out Carlito with quick tags in and out. It was only when Nitro tried to score a pinfall on Carlito that Shelton broke it up. Nitro pushed Benjamin and Benjamin pushed Nitro back before they got into it with punches. Carlito was slowly getting up and he just smiled as he watched his opponents attacking each other. But with everyone's attention there, Melina was slowly climbing inside the ring. Melina turned Carlito around and was about to hit him but Carlito caught her wrist! Carlito walked her over to the corner and picked up the apple, smiling at her while she stood there shocked. Carlito was about to take a bite of the apple when Johnny Nitro came flying at them out of nowhere, taking out both Melina and Carlito! He had been whipped there by Shelton! Nitro looked wide-eyed at what he had done to Melina before turning around into a T-Bone Suplex. Shelton made the pinfall and retained the Intercontinental Title. Winner: Shelton Benjamin by pinfall WWE Championship: Rob Van Dam vs. Edge Before the match, Rob Van Dam was shown in the ECW locker room getting support from his family there. Edge on the other hand was shown in the locker room with Lita. But when they left the locker room they were approached by John Cena! Cena told them that if Edge loses tonight they lose the respect of each and every wrestler on the Raw roster. He knows, he's been there. Tonight it is time the WWE Title came HOME to Raw. Edge was accompanied by Lita tonight to the ring while Rob Van Dam was accompanied by Paul Heyman! Paul got on the microphone, producing a cell phone from his pocket and announcing that tonight he is not Paul Heyman, owner of ECW. Tonight he is Paul E. Dangerously, the best wrestling manager in history! The match itself started out fast-paced with both men trying to go for pinfalls early on. RVD grounded Edge and went up top, giving the double thumb points but Edge rolled outside the ring so he couldn't get the 5-star Frog Splash. But that didn't deter RVD. No, he just turned and leapt onto the challenger with a cross body to the outside! During the course of the match, Jim Ross told the crowd at home that Vince McMahon told both wrestlers that if they are disqualified or counted out that the title will change hands. This point was made around the mid-point of the match when RVD grabbed a chair and brought it into the ring. The referee got right up on him and told him that if he uses the chair he will lose the WWE Title. RVD dropped the chair in frustration and walked over to Edge, where he was met with several right hands to the gut. Edge maintained a good advantage from the mid-point of the match, even using Lita when RVD started to get on the offensive. Paul came running around the ring at that point and chased Lita off down the rampway before turning toward the action again. He walked back down the ramp to see Edge setting up RVD for the spear. Dangerously's eyes went wide as RVD turned around and was nailed in the gut and dropped with the spear. Lita came running down to celebrate as Edge played a little to the crowd and Dangerously ran her into the ring! The referee went to pull Lita out of the ring, distracting Edge there while Paul climbed on the apron. He smiled and nailed Edge in the back of the head with his cell phone, breaking the phone in the process! Edge dropped like dead weight and Paul went to RVD and tried to revive him. The crowd were firmly behind Van Dam and he slowly pulled himself to his feet, seeing Edge lying on the mat. He began climbing the turnbuckles and stood atop them, giving his double thumb point to chants from the crowd! He looked poised...but he fell off the turnbuckle? Wait a second, John Cena had come through the crowd and pushed RVD off the turnbuckle while Lita distracted the referee! Cena punched out Dangerously and slid inside the ring, dropping Van Dam with the F-U and pulling Edge on top. The referee turned around and dropped, counting the three count, giving Edge his second reign as WWE Champion! Winner: Edge by pinfall After the match, Cena rolled inside the ring and cracked a smile, hugging Edge! What in the world is THIS?? Cena, Edge and Lita all stood victorious in the ring as the show ended with Jim Ross exclaiming that something just isn't right!
((The rest of the June shows following the PPV were pre-empted by the dog shows and the like so this will start July 1st, 2006))

((OOC: TCP1, am using your v.2.0 beta for this scenario actually. I just updated the title picture and a couple of other things to get certain wrestlers on the main roster. Thanks for your hard work!))
WWE Raw Preview! Last week at Vengeance, we saw the WWE Championship change hands for the second time in less than a month as Edge defeated Rob Van Dam for the title after interference from John Cena. Vince McMahon has announced that all ECW wrestlers are to stay on their own show therefore Rob Van Dam won't be wrestling on Monday night any longer. Edge however will be in action as he defends his newly won title against the man who defeated Mick Foley at Vengeance: Ric Flair. But will Flair even be in the building tonight? At Vengeance he survived a hellacious battle with Mick Foley, winning 2 out of the 3 falls to win the match. But Foley won the war as he beat down Ric Flair after the match, leaving the Nature Boy a bloody mess. Also at Vengeance, the Spirit Squad couldn't get the job done against DeGeneration X, prompting the anger of Mr. McMahon on his hired guns. Tonight Kenny will be forced to step into the ring with Kane as his punishment for losing that match. Shelton Benjamin survived the triple threat match at Vengeance to retain his Intercontinental title so he was given the night off tonight. Instead, his two opponents in that match: Carlito and Johnny Nitro will square off one-on-one here on Raw. Match Listing: Edge vs. Ric Flair Kenny vs. Kane Carlito vs. Johnny Nitro
Here we go.
WWE Raw! Monday, Week 1, July 2006 Location: Wachovia Center...Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Attendance: 15,000 Raw opened up with Vince McMahon sitting behind his desk with his usual ****y smile on his face. He began by saying that he wants to wish the troops over in Iraq the best along with each and every veteran as they celebrate July the 4th. The one person who won't be celebrating with Raw tonight, though, is Triple H. He has given that degenerate the night off. If Triple H decides to show up anyway security has been advised to grab him and escort him out of the building on the spot. Enjoy the show. Grade: A* The camera cut inside the building, panning over the crowd as they cheered and tried to get their signs shown on tv. JR and the King welcomed everyone to Raw and said it should be a spectacular night. The new Heavyweight Champion Edge will be defending that title tonight as he takes on the former 16 time Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair. These two do have a history facing one another so that should make it an explosive matchup. Grade: A Kenny has been punished by Mr. McMahon for losing against DeGeneration X at Vengeance. His punishment? He will be taking on the Big Red Machine Kane tonight, who has recently been bothered by his double showing up on Raw. Grade: C+ Also tonight the two men who lost at Vengeance in the triple threat match for the Intercontinental title: Carlito and Johnny Nitro will be going one on one. Grade: B- The music of the new Heavyweight Champion Edge kicked things off on Raw as he walked out with his manager and Love interest Lita! They climbed inside the ring and told everyone that this time there will not be any live sex celebration after his winning the Heavyweight Title but don't worry the Rated R Superstar will be having plenty of that tonight after he beats the old man. Hasn't Flair retired yet? Hell, he might not even show up. Edge spoke up about how he will be a fighting Champion but frankly there isn't even anyone here in his league. As a matter of fact, he's issuing an open challenge for next week if there's anyone with the guts to accept it. Grade: A Edge was interrupted by the music of Carlito, who came out with an apple in one hand and a microphone in the other. Carlito smiled up at Edge and told him that he accepts his invitation for a World Title matchup next week with Edge firing back that he wants to face someone who can actually win a match at a pay-per-view. Carlito told Edge that he was not cool. But next week Carlito winning the World Heavyweight Title? Now, that's cool. Grade: B+ Edge told Carlito that if he was so confident about it, why didn't he head to the ring right now? Carlito smiled and told him that he would wait until next week to face him. He turned...right into a chair shot from John Cena! Carlito was busted open and Cena just looked down at him before casting his eyes up to Edge and Lita, who were laughing and pointing at Carlito. Grade: A WWE Unlimited: Within the back, Vince McMahon was speaking with Nicky of the Spirit Squad. He told him that with Triple H banned from the building he was going to put Nicky one on one with Shawn Michaels in this very ring tonight. But if he didn't win against HBK, there would be a firing tonight. Grade: B- Coming back from commercial saw Beth Phoenix putting the finishing touches on her outfit and makeup. Trish Stratus walked up to her and wished her good luck in her match tonight with Victoria. Trish wasn't wearing a sling anymore. Grade: B Victoria vs. Beth Phoenix -Our opening contest of the night saw the young Beth Phoenix going against the experienced veteran Victoria with Trish Stratus in Beth's corner. Victoria took the early advantage, using her experience to her advantage with some solid wrestling moves. JR explained that the winner of this contest would be the number one contender to Mickie James and the Women's Title. Beth rallied back with Trish getting the fans behind her. And Beth picked up the win with her Down in Flames finishing manuever. Winner: Beth Phoenix by pinfall Grade: E After the match, Mickie James came walking out from the back and stood on the rampway staring at Beth, mouthing some insults to her and stroking her belt. Grade: D WWE Unlimited: Maria came out from the back with the t-shirt shooter and shot t-shirts into the crowd. Grade: B- Coming back from commercial saw Charlie Haas standing in the back. He apologized once again for what he did to Lillian Garcia and told everyone that he deserved the beating he took at the hands of Viscera. But now that it's over and done with he wants to speak about his former partner Shelton Benjamin. He knows that Shelton is not in the house tonight but he wants to issue a challenge for that Intercontinental Title belt. He wants to prove that he was the stronger link in their tag team and if Shelton accepts he can expect to be in a Haas of Pain! Grade: B- Following the interview, the camera moved to the ringside area where Armando Alejandro Estrada had come out to the ring. He told everyone that his Samoan Bulldozer Uuuuumaga is undefeated since coming to the WWE but there es no one to challenge him. Is there anyone in the back that will face him? Grade: C- The World's Largest Love Machine Viscera came out and stood at the top of the ramp, telling Armando that they have some unfinished business and Viscera doesn't like that. So tonight HE will be the challenger for Umaga. Grade: C Armando said that is fine with him if he wants to get beat again and Umaga came running from the back and blindsided Viscera. The Samoan bulldozer rammed Viscera into the security wall and basically beat him all the way to the ring as Armando called for an official from the back to referee this match. Grade: C- Viscera vs. Umaga -This was a total and complete squash for Umaga. Viscera barely got any offense in after the attack from behind. Umaga couldn't quite tie Viscera into the tree of woe but still dropped a headbutt on him anyway. He lifted the Love Machine up and dropped him with the Samoan Spike before pinning him with the referee counting the three count. Winner: Umaga by pinfall Grade: C As Umaga and Armando celebrated, the cameras went to the back where Ric Flair was standing by with Maria. Maria asked Ric why he calls himself the Nature Boy and Ric responded by telling her to come out partying with him Whoo all night long and he'll show her exactly why the ladies call him the Nature Boy. But tonight tonight he is going to be going one on one with the man they call the Rated Whoo R Superstar. He is a man who couldn't beat Rob Van Dam without a little help from his friend John Cena. Well, let the Nature Boy tell you something. Tonight he will prove why he is the dirtiest player in the game and tonight he has every plan to walk out of here a 17 time Heavyweight Champion. Grade: B- Nicky vs. Shawn Michaels -Shawn Michaels is fighting for pride in this match and Nicky is fighting, well, for his job. The Spirit Squad member took the early advantage with a rake to the face of the Degenerate and slammed punches into his skull. Nicky maintained the advantage until the mid-point of the match where he locked in a reverse chinlock. HBK used the support of the crowd here in Philly to fight to his feet and gave a few reverse elbows to the gut of Nicky to break the hold. He bounced off the ropes and hit a flying forearm, nipping up afterward to a huge pop from the crowd. He went outside and began climbing the top turnbuckle, poising himself up there and landing an elbow to the heart of his Spirit Squad opponent to a huge pop from the crowd. It got him a 2 count only though. But HBK was still fired up. He headed over to the corner and began tuning up the band. Nicky was slowly climbing to his feet, staggering around. He turned toward Shawn and...Sweet Chin Music from HBK! Nicky was laid OUT! Shawn made a quick cover and got the three count, putting Nicky OUT of the WWE! Winner: Shawn Michaels by pinfall Grade: B WWE Unlimited: Vince McMahon came storming furiously out from the back after the match and climbed into the ring. As Nicky slowly got up, Vince pushed him back down. He held a microphone in his hand, got right up in Nicky's face and said..."YOU'RE..FIRED!" And it actually got the approval of the crowd since they didn't care for the Spirit Squad anyway. Grade: B- Coming back from commercial, a replay was shown of the events that occured on WWE Unlimited, showing Vince McMahon firing Nicky of the Spirit Squad. Grade: B Within the back area, Maria was standing by with Carlito. She spoke about how he challenged Edge tonight but doesn't he already have a match tonight? Carlito explained to her that the challenge with Edge is for next week. Tonight, he is going to be facing Johnny Nitro. Nitro? That show was never any good, was it? Naming yourself after a lame show is definitely not cool. But what will be cool tonight is Carlito getting his hand raised in victory and tuning up for his match with Edge next week. Grade: C+ Carlito vs. Johnny Nitro -Johnny Nitro made his ring entrance first along with Melina and the photographers. Melina made the entrance she is famous for while Nitro waited inside the ring. The fans popped when Carlito came out and the two men met in the center of the ring jawwing at one another. Carlito turned to head back to his corner but was grabbed by Nitro and turned around. Carlito beat Nitro to the punch though and floored him. This was a pretty good matchup between two men with similar styles. Highlights included Carlito spitting an apple in Melina's face as she tried to distract him. Carlito started to gain the advantage when Edge rolled into the ring. He pushed the referee away and waited for Carlito to turn and...SPEAR! The referee called for the bell as Edge stood over Carlito. Winner: Carlito by Disqualification Grade: B- WWE Unlimited: Matt Striker came out with his usual teacher set up and told everyone that the word of the day is loser. You know, that is what Johnny Nitro and Melina were tonight. They were losers. Matt Striker is never a loser. Nitro and Melina both came out, interrupting the promo. Nitro said he's seen a few times where Striker came out on the losing end of the stick. Striker smacked Nitro, which led to a punch from Johnny. Grade: C As the show came back, Johnny Nitro and Matt Striker were exchanging rights and lefts while Melina screamed. The two men battled each other all the way to the back. Grade: C The camera cut to the back where Kenny was getting warmed up with a sullen look on his face. He really doesn't look like he wants to face Kane. Mikey came in there and told Kenny to cheer up. He's a member of the Spirit Squad and with Spirit anything is possible. But Kenny didn't look so sure. Grade: C+ Kenny vs. Kane -Kenny came out first alone and spoke on the microphone, saying he was going to take his punishment like a man should be able to do and invited Kane out to the ring to do so. Kane's pyros exploded, scaring Kenny and sending him down to the mat. He crawled into the corner as Kane came down to the ring, begging off. But Kane would have none of that and spent the entire match punishing the Spirit Squad member with high impact moves. Kenny's facial expressions were definitely a highlight of the match. Kane ended it with a chokeslam, getting the pinfall win. Winner: Kane via pinfall Grade: B After Kane left the ring, Triple H came running in through the crowd and attacked Kenny! He dropped Kenny with the Pedigree as security team members came running down toward the ring. Trips escaped through the crowd, using them as a barrier between him and security. Grade: B Ric Flair was shown...walking. JR explained that he's heading to the ring because our Main Event match is next! Grade: A Edge, Lita and John Cena are...walking too! Grade: B+ Ric Flair vs. Edge -Flair came out to the ring first with Edge, Lita and John Cena following after. After a little jaw-jacking Edge tried to lock up with Flair but Flair avoided it and strutted across the ring with a 'whoo.' Flair turned back toward Edge and the two finally locked up with Flair pushing Edge to the turnbuckle and reddening his chest with several of those knife-edge chops. Edge staggered out of the corner and Flair immediately kicked the back of his knee out from under him. Flair's focus became obvious as he worked over the knee of Edge in the opening minutes of the bout. Flair though made the mistake of bouncing off the ropes near Lita and she tripped him up. Edge rose up quickly and went on the attack, focusing his attack on the back of the Nature Boy. JR explained to those who didn't know about Flair suffering a back injury early in his career in an airplane crash. The momentum traded back and forth with Edge using more cheating tactics than Flair, including using the ropes in submission holds and using Lita and John Cena. The referee took a bump late in the match and Edge and Flair hit each other with a double clothesline, taking both of them out. With the ref out, John Cena climbed into the ring to boos from the crowd, grabbing Flair and dropping him with the F-U. He put Edge on top and lifted the official, placing him over by the two wrestlers and sliding out of the ring as the referee counted the three count and a successful title defense by Edge. Winner: Edge by pinfall Grade: A* After the match, Cena and Lita climbed into the ring and they combined with Edge to stomp the Nature Boy down. But the crowd popped when Carlito came running down to the ring. Carlito cleaned house with Edge and John Cena and just looked at Lita for a moment before spitting apple into her face, smiling into the camera as the show faded out. Grade: A
