Three minutes and 47 seconds of pure chaos as Raheem Stash threw Max Mayhem around like a rag doll before he put him away with a Standing Powerslam while Kandii cheered him on. (Rating: 22)

With his bodyguard half a step behind him, Brother Grimm walks into Big Magic's office, where the Commissioner of Violence is apparently in the middle of some arrangement with Deaf Touch. GSW's owner puts last week's main event match over and "suggests" it goes down again, this time at Beneath the City. In response, Magic scribbles something on a piece of paper and shows it to the American champion, but the camera cuts off before his reaction is shown. (Rating: 48)

Papa Swoll's size belies his athleticism and E-Soteric found out the hard way as he was caught by surprise by the big man's surprising agility. After a fast start, a pounce from the challenger ended up with both men falling out of the ring and the fight continued around the Warehouse much like a street fight. A pretty long -for GSW standards- match at 7'40" that was exciting and pretty competitive, it ended with Swoll making a rookie mistake and charging in for his move to get reversed into the Double Arm DDT for the pin. CJ Weston’s voice is dubbed over the next video. “The Gangster Consultant” hypes up the Long Beach Crew as great wrestlers, born stars and brilliant businessmen, using a very corporate way of speaking. All this is a stark opposite to the visual part, which seems like it was shot by a drone in slow motion. The footage starts with the dilapidated common areas and stairways of an apartment block in the projects, then the camera goes past the shoulder of a rough looking man with a lot of red in his clothing and into the door of what appears to be a smoke filled drug lab, then a lavishly furnished urban apartment with people partying while sporting red clothes and guns in the open, then what appears to be a recording studio and finally, a wide open space with a ring set up in the middle and the GSW Tag Team champions in it. Aces High wears the belt around his waist, while Cali Slick has it slung over his shoulder. For a split second, the image of Dead Men Walking is spliced into the video, Gravedigga and Mobstar wearing blue bandanas, then the video ends. (Rating: 37)

After a bit of trash talking to heat things up, Capp got the fight going and it didn't take long for weapons to also get introduced to the match. Capp really brought the fight with heavy blows and stiff chair shots, while Fro threw in some entertaining kung fu spots that popped the crowd and played the scrappy underdog who tried to counterbalance his power disadvantage by getting creative with his surroundings.

i6vSoMR.png

The big shock however was the appearance of Foxxy LaRue, who ended the show with a bang and momentarily distracted Capp, allowing Fro to level him with a superkick and get the pin after the Sure Thing (Tombstone Piledriver). What is the QAW veteran and Detroit native doing in GSW? (Rating: 48)

A short, chaotic, overbooked squash, otherwise known as a typical BB Colossus match. Given how fans seem to feel about Noah Nadir and are not afraid to vocalize their feelings, seeing the big man destroy him here made for a hot start to the show. (Rating: 19)

Big Magic is shown in the VIP lounge of the Warehouse, discussing something with Brother Grimm. Boneyard is not far, keeping his distance but staying close enough to protect GSW's owner if necessary. American title slung over his shoulder, Deaf Touch confidently struts into the scene, interrupting whatever talk was going on. Boneyard glares from the shadows, the tension between current and former champion palpable. DT reaches for something in his pocket and tosses a sheet of paper on the table. In the light over the table, the message scribbled on it with big letters is clear for all, camera included, to see: "Let's finish this. For real, no doubt. Last Man Standing". (Rating: 50)

Former 4C star Too Hot made his GSW debut in this non-title match, bringing the now-defunct promotion's mix of fast pace and hardcore fighting to quickly turn this match into a crazy brawl all over the venue. His charisma helped him overcome the fact that L.A. fans had never heard of him before and hopefully made up for Omar's trouble to connect with the audience. What helped him most though was Dead Men Walking making an appearance to attack the Long Beach Crew, roughing them up just enough for Too Hot to hit the Heat Seeking Missile on Aces High and pin him. Foxxy LaRue is shown leaning against a bar in the Warehouse, when Fro Sure shows up behind the bar with a couple of drinks, offering her one in thanks for her help. LaRue just raises an eyebrow and says she’s not in GSW to help him. Before she can say what she’s really there for, Busta Capp joins the scene all fire and brimstone, enraged at LaRue’s meddling in his affairs. Instead of an answer, Foxxy simply slaps Capp so hard she drops him to the ground, then comments how clearly none of the two men are aware that she’s known as “the baddest bitch in this business” before walking away, leaving both men dumbfounded. The main event saw the leaders of warring factions go head to head as Mexico's Finest squared off against Hard-1, with announcers informing the audience that there had been an agreement to keep this clean and without interference from either competitor’s allies. Both men legitimately tough, they went at it with fists and weapons for nearly eight minutes before the ex-con was able to win after landing a sneaky and controversial low blow that seemed like a poorly aimed knee strike at Hard-1’s midsection. The show kicks off with a shot of Big Magic's office. The Commissioner of Violence has Public Enemy #1 and MexiCain in his office, the atmosphere tense and the two men barely holding themselves back from jumping on each other's throats. Magic breaks it down: Beneath the City, 3 on 3, Los Guerilleros versus Hard-1, PE#1 and Papa Swoll. MexiCain takes the chance to drop a quick freestyle rap in Spanish about how his crew will crush this, whereas PE#1 mentions how this match is the next destination down the Path of Rage. Shooting Star Perez gets the match off to a fast start with an dive through the ropes before Magwitch can even get in the ring. This sets the tone for the match, mostly a hardcore brawl out of the ring as Perez launches himself off chairs, tables, bars and anything else he can find. A missed flip however creates an opening for Magwitch to respond with a DDT onto a folded chair and after picking it up, he basically whacks Perez back to the ring with it, before hitting the Stump Piledriver onto the chair for the pin. Back in the parking lot of the Warehouse and flanked by Omar, Too Hot is pleading his case with the Long Beach Crew: since they pinned them last week, they should be the ones challenging for the titles at Beneath the City, or at least included in a triangle match. CJ Weston is trying to deflect the case with some corporate legalese fancy talk...

jPUFFJe.pngfUjj6HK.png

Dead Men Walking walk into the scene, carrying the briefcase with the contract guaranteeing them a title match. Things are tense, but Cali Slick defuses the situation as he lays a hand on Weston to shut him up and points out that DMW have been grinding for years. They ain't challenging just because they have that briefcase and it takes more than a lucky win to make it in GSW. (Rating: 30)

A match made after Capp requested it, as the announcing team points out, this one is his attempt to get back at LaRue for costing him the win against Fro Sure a while back. Capp isn't shy about hitting a female, but Foxxy proves she's no slouch either, holding her own even after the brawl inevitable spills to the outside. As the two slug it out in the crowd, a fan tries to grope LaRue and she turns around to punch him square between the eyes in a hot unscripted moment that pops the crowd. Very much a Foxxy showcase bout, this one is still pretty competitive but it ends with LaRue blindsiding Capp with a roll up to score the pin and cap her GSW in-ring debut with a win. Fro Sure comes out with a mic in hand to congratulate LaRue for her win, once again trying to figure out her allegiance and motives. Foxxy replies that he and everyone else in GSW will have their questions answered soon enough, because she's "the baddest bitch in this business" and she'll do things the way she feels like, when she feels like it. Wrapping up GSW's go-home show, the main event sees the reunited State of Destruction face off against DT and Stash, the focus being on the upcoming American title but in all the chaos there's still a few spots to hint a future clash between GSW's two powerhouses, BB and Stash. Not a great match by a long shot, it's still wild enough to get the fans going and it ends with Boneyard standing tall over Deaf Touch after hitting a Chokeslam to pin him. (Rating: 27)

Love the presentation! Good stuff

Thanks, I love GSW and believe it requires a bit of effort on the visual side as well to get its special vibe across. While I'm nowhere near the levels of some great people in this community, I've found a format that looks good but also allows me to keep the writeups short and concise: easy to write, easy to read.

just read through all this, really enjoying it, love Foxxy, I was always a 4C guy so happy to see Too Hot getting work, looking forward to Beneath the City

Thanks a lot. Foxxy's one of my fav female CVerse workers and a must-have if GSW hires women to wrestle. Too Hot may have more pop in Canada than the West Coast, but he sure fits the GSW product and is a great talker, so he makes a lot of sense as a hiring.

Beneath the City is in the books, I'll try to have the show written and posted asap, but no promises as it's a busy month. Not putting up a prediction card or anything, I'm not running any contests based on that and I like to have that unpredictability going for each show, at least for now.

Los Guerilleros specialize in pack tactics, but when Hard-1, Public Enemy #1 and Papa Swoll, collectively announced in this match as "Payback", teamed up to make a stand against them, things got interesting. This match had received quite a bit of buildup so it got to open the show, with Payback working the crowd hard as they played up their imminent vengeance. The Hispanic trio, well versed in working as a team, had plenty of chances to cut them off and piss off the audience, all the while providing some hardcore action with their signature use of baseball bats. In the end though, it was Papa Swoll who had the last laugh as he played to his deceptive agility in order to hit MexiCain with the Pounce and score the win. The brick laying, blue collar brawler Devyn Retribution fought a losing battle in the following bout against the intimidating Jamaican, Raheem Stash. Fans weren't shy to make their opinion of Retribution heard and seeing him manhandled from bell to bell only raised their spirits, as did seeing Kandii in Stash's corner. It was after the actual match that things came alive, as BB Colossus appeared at the entrance ramp to block Stash's way to the backstage area. The staredown only lasted for a few seconds and the two behemoths quickly started trading blows to a thunderous ovation. Even the appearance and microphone barks of Big Magic weren't enough to break these two up, leading to the Commissioner of Violence getting physically involved in the brawl himself, which in turn allowed security to storm the scene and regain some sense of control once he'd separated the two monsters for a bit. A seemingly random tag team match, wrestlers and announcers provided some context here by playing up the fact that both E-Soteric and Miss Jones apparently had picked up their very own proteges during the last few weeks, this being a clash of master-apprentice teams. Known for his good-looking punch as well as his technical prowess, Blake made for a good pairing with the Golden Gloves Boxer and reigning West Coast champion, while Black Diamond made her debut alongside a true veteran of women's wrestling. Not the most competitive of matches, this was very much dominated by the male team and in a surprising show of actual wrestling, TBJ forced Miss Jones to tap out to a Full Nelson. A showcase of GSW's hardcore midcarders, this match could never be anything but a literal car crash, too wild, raw and violent but at the same time oddly mesmerizing. It was like those six men were out there to literally kill themselves and each other, with some opting to do so through the use of weapons and others using their bodies as weapons as they hit all sorts of suicidal dives. Perez tapped into his lucha background for the first big spot of the match, a suicide dive to the outside that Magwitch blocked (and that's a very loose interpretation of the word) by swinging a chair like a baseball bat right onto the masked one's head mid-flight. Noah Nadir also got dropkicked out of the ring as he was trying to stand on the top rope in a corner, landing spine first onto a guardrail, a spot that got less cheers of amazement and more gleeful ones about seeing Nadir hurt. Top Dolla hit his signature balcony dive too, landing awkwardly onto GSW's resident hardcore clown, though that only seemed to inspire G Force to out-do the former West Coast champion and the former backyard sensation really wowed the fans by climbing all the way up to the elevated DJ booth, then the lighting rig to dive off of literally the highest spot he could reach onto everyone. With all six competitors down after that spot and fans screaming their lungs out, Magwitch was the first one to show signs of life and he put a hand on Perez for the pin. By the time referee Moore Vincent helped him up and raised his hand, Magwitch was covered in blood, one of his cheek bones was visibly out of shape but yet the mad clown was cackling still. Bloodied and stumbling, Magwitch made his way backstage, his cackle broken up by the coughing of a chronic smoker. Unphased, Magwitch reached into his green wig (splattered with spots of red) to pull out a broken cigarette from somewhere behind his ear and put it in his mouth. Lacking a lighter though, he tried to get one from the crowd, but no one wanted to get anywhere near the demented clown. Instead, Busta Capp came out and offered Magwitch a light, only to punch him in the head while he was busy trying to fire up his smoke. Fans had no idea what to make of this and Capp simply glared down at the fallen clown, before kicking him in the ribs for good measure and walking away. No strangers to each other, the two teams brought the signature hardcore violence in spades, showing why GSW’s tag team division has earned a reputation. A hard hitting and very competitive bout, this one was not only about familiarity or a Bloods vs Crips theme, but also about the two teams closely mirroring each other as Aces High and Gravedigga hit their crazy stunt spots while Cali Slick and Mobstar were the slower but deliberate bruisers for their respective teams. The turning point came when Gravedigga grabbed the briefcase containing his team’s title contract and used it to hit an Atomic Arabian Facebuster onto CJ Weston on the outside. Without their manager providing guidance from the sidelines and an extra pair of eyes, Long Beach Crew were thrown off their usual pace and DMW were able to isolate Aces High for The Execution to become the new and only five time GSW Tag Team champions. For all the hate he gets from the fans, Omar lives up to his "Black Superman" moniker thanks to his athleticism and pairing him with the lean and flashy Fro Sure made for a pretty exciting match, a welcome breather after two weapons-heavy hardcore bouts. Grimm spoke highly of the American champion who has proved his worth again and again, but he also put his real life bodyguard over saying he's got first hand knowledge of how brutal Boneyard can get. Revisiting this match from the start of the month, the two competitors had more time to fight but what really made it play out in a different way was the stipulation. While they brawled once again all over the Warehouse, Deaf Touch was more methodic and less rushed in his style, well aware that he wouldn't be able to score any flash pinfalls, so his best bet was to wear down and exhaust his much larger opponent. Boneyard, on the other hand, took full advantage of the situation and had an easier time connecting with his moves.</span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';">

The big moment however was when Foxxy LaRue appeared from the audience to smash Boneyard's skull from behind with a chair. While he did not fall, the big man turned around only to get hit with a Flash Head Kick, LaRue making a run for it once she'd pulled off her finisher. It wasn't the interference that ended the match, but it certainly tipped the scale in favor of the defending champion, with Boneyard succumbing to the damage a few minutes later as he was unable to get back up by the count of ten. Hard to tell the effects of GSW's weekly televised show yet, or which of the two West Coast hardcore promotions won this month. IPW's biggest event of the year went all out and was rated better than GSW's Beneath the City, with IPW also having a larger audience. Actual revenue might tell a different story though, since GSW sell their tickets at a premium price in order to enter the Warehouse. Let's check out the math:

IPW: 250 fans x 25 popularity x $12 (Normal price) = $75.000

GSW: 212 fans x 28 popularity x $16 (Premium price) = $94.976

So despite a lower rating and attendance, GSW ended up making about 20K more than their competitors out of tickets alone. Furthermore, IPW only finalized their broadcast deal with WrestleWorld after TripleMania 6, meaning they missed out on an opportunity to have it shown outside California, whereas GSW's monthly even was seen by almost seventeen thousand viewers of the platform. Given Brother Grimm's aggressive expansion of the company's merchandising branch, it is clear he is counting on converting the exposure into cash and apparently GSW already have a headstart in that race.

The episode begins with Busta Capp in Big Magic's office. In the aftermath of Capp's post-match attack on the winner of the six man hardcore free for all, the Commissioner of Violence attempts to get some sort of an apology from him, but Capp has none. With neither an apology or explanation for his actions, Magic is forced to admit he doesn't like clowns either, but he can't let wrestlers disrespect his authority like that. Therefore, he's putting him in the ring against Cali Slick tonight, one on one, in the main event. (Rating: 35)

G Force tries to tap into his backyard roots and hit some reckless flying offense on his monstrous opponent, but BB won't budge and the rookie never really gets a chance to get going as Colossus has his way with him and hits the Colossus Avalanche for the pin, ending the match around two and a half minutes. Raheem Stash is shown entering Brother Grimm's office in the Warehouse, Boneyard a step behind Grimm's shadow as always. The owner of GSW brings up the rivalry between Stash and BB Colossus, as well as their brawl at Beneath the City. He mentions Big Magic wanted to fine them for their actions, but Grimm stepped in to point out there's money to be made for everyone in a BB-Stash match. Now thanks to Grimm, Stash is spared the fine and stands to make a lot of money. Unimpressed, the Jamaican says he'd be fine just wrecking the Colossus, but if he can make some cash out of doing it, fine. (Rating: 45)

Foxxy LaRue and Deaf Touch are shown in the VIP area of the Warehouse. DT has the American title around his waist and stands around while Foxxy does the talking. LaRue mentions how she's been trying to make it against competition that's Texas tough, drawing a parallel between that and DT's resilience. She says the two share this toughness because they're from the same town. They're Motor City Made. Fro Sure walks by and jumps on the chance to get on the mic to tease the name and LaRue. For a moment, things get tense, but DT gets in the way. What comes next is a brief gesturing back and forth between him and LaRue, revealing she's fluent in ASL as she tells Fro he's lucky DT has a point, otherwise she'd be slapping Fro in the face for disrespecting the baddest bitch in this business. A rare singles match from Cali Slick, who's got Aces High in his corner but not CJ Weston, who has been absent from commentary as well all night after the bump he took at Beneath the City. Capp shows sign of respect towards his opponent at the start of the match, but their brawl is not contained by the ring ropes and they soon end up slugging it out in the audience. Aces High is being his usual high energy obnoxious self and frequently interjects himself to save his partner or provide him with a chance to recover when needed. Eventually, Capp has had enough and tries to take Aces out with a chair, only to get kicked in the gut and have the chair snatched out of his hands before Aces whacks him with it. It's done blatantly in front of the referee, but GSW does not bother with DQs or countouts, so the match continues and Aces puts a finger on his temple, clearly bragging on this being the plan all along as his partner hits the Slick-Back on Capp for the pin. The camera feed fades in as the episode begins. We are inside Brother Grimm's office in the Warehouse, apparently already in the middle of a tense discussion between him and the Long Beach Crew. Slick and High seem convinced Grimm's got something to do with CJ Weston not showing up again, but the owner of GSW is claiming ignorance. His attitude pisses off the Long Beach Crew, but Boneyard steps in from the shadows with a grunt, his message clear, forcing the Long Beach Crew to leave the room in frustration, promising to get to the bottom of this. Omar and Perez get straight into business in the opening contest, going balls out in a spectacular contest full of impressive spots to rev up the fans. After winning their match at Beneath the City, E-Soteric and TBJ look to score another big victory as a duo against the more regular pairing of Hard-1 and Public Enemy #1. Despite all four men being brawlers and hard hitters, the match has a slower, more methodical pace, less like the usual crazy GSW brawl outside the ring and more like a strong style bout. Hard-1 pays the price for it though when he's whipped to the corner and stumbles before he can turn around proper, resulting in his shoulder tackling the post. After checking in with him, referee Moore Vincent throws up the dreaded X with his arms and E-Soteric rushes to hit the stumbling veteran with the Double Arm DDT for a pinfall to end the bout. Fro Sure goes one on one with Mexico's Finest in the night's main event, a sparkplug brawler versus a hardcore powerhouse in a match that just can't be contained by the ring. GSW's resident ex convict controls most of the match with his strength, but Fro has the energy and resilience to stay in the match where others would have gone out cold. Eventually, MF starts to show signs of missing a step or two as his gas tank is running low and Fro is able to take things back into the ring, but once he tries to lift his opponent up for his piledriver finisher, MF's weight is a bit too much and the Mexican is able to shift it in time to reverse the situation into a pinning predicament, adding some extra leverage with a foot on the ropes. Busta Capp is in the parking lot of the Warehouse, tailgating with some people when Fro Sure appears and tries to talk him into teaming with him against Deaf Touch and Foxxy LaRue. Capp doesn't seem interested in the idea, telling Fro they've both had their issues lately but they'll deal with them. Fro makes another attempt, tapping into Capp's Compton and GSW pride, suggesting the two of them rep L.A. against the duo from Detroit. The main event is a non title match, with the champion facing Raheem Stash. Foxxy LaRue accompanies Deaf Touch and remains on his corner throughout the match, though the bout quickly spills out of the ring and turns into a brawl around the Warehouse as Stash attempts to use his power advantage alongside his surroundings to break DT. Given the champion's documented resilience that's no easy feat and Touch is able to survive, at least long enough for Stash's strategy to backfire when BB Colossus appears, the crowd splitting to make way for his charge. BB hits Stash with the Colossus Avalanche and rams him into the ringpost, laying him out for Deaf Touch and LaRue to roll back into the ring for a pinfall. Big Magic and Brother Grimm have run into the Long Beach Crew in a hallway as the episode begins. Apparently mid-conversation already, Grimm again denies any involvement regarding CJ Weston and Big Magic shoots down a rematch for the tag titles. Aces High only ups the ante when he says the team is willing to put their careers on the line for this shot and Slick doubles down, saying if they lose, they'll leave GSW and go out to search for Weston. Intrigued, Magic and Grimm look at each other, then both agree to the match with this stipulation, but only as long as the Long Beach Crew also agrees to a match tonight... (Rating: 35)

The opening bout sees plenty of fists flying from the get go, though a Pounce from Swoll is enough to tackle Devyn out of the ring and continue the slugfest on the outside. While the action turns out better that one might expect, fans hate Retribution and don't much care for Swoll yet, so the response doesn't quite match the wrestling, except the finish where Retribution gets hit with the Pounce again, this time inside the ring, to get pinned. E-Soteric puts his West Coast championship on the line in a televised defense against "The Black Superman" and the vocal crowd lets Omar know they think he doesn't belong. Between his high flying and the defending champion's striking, the match is a weird mix that's neither a brawl, nor hardcore ultraviolence or a high flying spectacle, but still it's pretty serviceable. Omar ends up hitting the High Velocity Headbutt but no one's home when he lands and E-Soteric quickly responds with a Double Arm DDT to retain, marking down defense number four of the title. Foxxy LaRue takes on mic duty again for this promo by Motor City Made. LaRue rips into both Fro Sure and Bust Capp, saying the talk big but don't back it up; if they wanna face her and DT, they should consider their challenge accepted, but it's gonna be another case of their mouths writing checks their ass can't cash: the American champion and the baddest bitch in this business will take care of business. All four of GSW's veteran members delivered a bloody hardcore brawl in the main event, holding nothing back. Long Beach Crew used their teaming experience to control the pace of the match, but sometimes they seemed a bit out of step, be it due to CJ Weston's absence or perhaps being too worried about Dead Men Walking attacking them. Fro and Capp were able to exploit these openings and test their teamwork in light of their apparent upcoming clash against Motor City Made and there seems to be potential to this team, as Capp was able to take out Aces with a Mafia Kick and end the show with a victory for his team. Pre-show: Devyn Retribution and G Force defeated Miss Jones and Noah Nadir (Rating: 25)

Miss Jones and Devyn Retribution worked the dark match to help rookies G Force and Noah Nadir improve. Nothing spectacular to be said about this match, G Force hit his wonderfully named Vomit Comet finisher to pin Miss Jones and end the bout.

Some high flying action to start off the show in an impactful way, Too Hot's charisma really made this work and fans care. There were some glimpses of potential from Black Diamond as well, who seems to have the skill, looks, charisma and X-factor; with enough experience between the ropes and on the mic, she may well be one for the future. For now, the night belonged to Top Dolla as the former West Coast champion hit his signature suicide dive off a balcony overlooking the ring and onto Omar for the pin, a bittersweet victory for Dolla that took out great physical toll on his body. Los Guerilleros hit the ring in full force with Mexico's Finest sticking around to oversee Brown Pride, but their opponents had an answer when they came out to the ring escorted by Hard-1. The tough Texan got a good pop from the crowd, his arm in a sling due to the shoulder injury he recently suffered while wrestling. His presence played into the story of the match as well, providing an extra pair of eyes against Los Guerilleros, preventing Mexico's Finest from interfering too often and providing his veteran knowledge to counter the teaming experience of MexiCain and LatiNoFear. Lot of back and forth in the match, with Hard-1's team having a slight power advantage and Papa Swoll more than able to match LNF's high flying, in the end however Public Enemy #1's emotions got the best of him and he got carried away into making a rookie mistake in his rage, which in turn created an opening for Brown Pride to hit him with the Border Toss and pin him. Once the match was officially over, Mexico's Finest retrieved the baseball bats his crew carried to the ring as part of their entrance. Signature weapon in hand, Los Guerilleros swarmed Papa Swoll and then circled the injured Hard-1 like a pack of sharks smelling blood in the water. GSW is no stranger to beatdowns, but seeing those three go after Hard-1's injury bats in hand was almost uncomfortable to watch. (Rating: 38)

The long awaited clash between two of the biggest, baddest men in GSW did not disappoint as BB Colossus finally got in the ring against Raheem Stash. Quite unlike a typical BB match, this was not the chaotic overbooked mess his bouts usually are, although it did last almost as much as his matches do at just under six minutes. It was six minutes of hoss versus hoss though. There was plenty of angling and glaring and shoving with little actual wrestling on display, but with wrestlers this size, even the most basic of moves or slams feel way more devastating. It was Kandii though who tipped the scales in her man's favor, raking the eyes of BB Colossus with her manicured nails while the sheer mass of Raheem Stash blocked the referee's line of sight. One sloppy Standing Powerslam later (sloppy or not, it's not every day you see a near 400lb man powerslammed) and Raheem Stash got the 1-2-3. (Rating: 36)

Stash had little time to celebrate, because Boneyard made his way to the ring after the match was over. This was a classic case of climbing a mountain only to see a taller one right behind it and Stash seemed to welcome the challenge of potentially facing the former American champion. It wasn’t meant to be though, as Brother Grimm came out with a mic in hand to break things up… for now. (Rating: 52)

With the ring cleared, GSW’s Commissioner of Violence took center stage and called out the West Coast champion. E-Soteric came out accompanied by Tavon Blake Jr. and cut a promo about having run out of challengers for his gold, which is why he wasn’t scheduled to wrestle. Big Magic had to agree, but he couldn’t help pointing out Blake, who E-Soteric clearly thinks high of. Indeed, Magic said, you’d be hard pressed to argue that perhaps the only worthy challenger is TBJ, which is why he would be getting a shot, effective immediately. (Rating: 31)

E-Soteric threw a tantrum at the announcement, but the match was made official and things kicked off so he had to get serious if he wanted to retain. Blake respectfully waited for him instead of surprising him while the champ was complaining and the two started trading punches soon after. For all their similarities though, the two men just didn’t seem to gel as opponents in what was essentially a glorified boxing match at first, so TBJ tried to throw in some shoot grappling in hopes of mixing things up. While this did not take the bout into five star territory, it was enough to salvage the surprise title match as well as E-Soteric, who got caught in a slick fisherman suplex with a bridge that TBJ apparently calls “the Black Plex”. Surprised in more ways than one, E-Soteric ended up held down for three seconds and just like that, Tavon Blake Jr. was crowned the new GSW West Coast champion. (Rating: 38)

In the semi-main event, recently crowned Tag Team champions Dead Men Walking had a rematch against the former title holders, the Long Beach Crew and it felt anything but repetitive. Both teams have a long history in the company and good standing with the fans, having held the gold on multiple occasions and gone to great lengths in order to capture or retain it. This was no different and with CJ Weston missing as well as the careers of Slick and Aces on the line, there was an added sense of urgency given the high stakes in the bout. It only took a few minutes for the first blood to be spilled and Slick drew it with glee as he used his gold chain either as a whip or wrapped around his fist to pummel the opposition’s foreheads. Gravedigga and Aces High were their usual crazy -and probably doped out- selves doing all sorts of crazy spots, with the fans eating up the action for ten or so minutes, bell to bell. Just when it seemed like both teams were running out of things to hit each other with, Mobstar shocked the world by turning on his teammate to set him up for the High and Low. Before fans or announcers had a chance to realize what had happened, Aces High floated over for the cover and the Long Beach Crew were champs again. (Rating: 48)

With fans going wild, Mobstar, Slick and Aces beat down Gravedigga, before shaking hands and hugging it out to signal their new allegiance. Given the chaotic action and dramatic twists before, the main event had plenty to live up to but all four participants gave everything they had to make this a memorable one. LaRue held her own with three of GSW’s finest, the brawl spilling out at ringside and among fans within minutes. As competitive as can be, the match saw momentum swinging back and forth as both teams pulled out all the stops.

What really tipped the scales was the sudden appearance of Magwitch, not seen since Capp attacked him at Beneath the City. GSW’s resident demented clown popped out of the crowd and delivered a beatdown on the unsuspecting Capp, adding to the confusion, chaos and drama of the match. While it wasn’t the spot that played into the end, it certainly caused Busta Capp to lose focus and a lot of gas from the tank, his performance significantly waning until he ended up receiving the Crooked Moonsault from Deaf Touch who kept him down for the pin. You doing great GSW content keeps me from the urge to do some GSW action myself.

You doing great GSW content started the urge to do some GSW action myself. :D

Give Cali Slick all the gold.

Used to do that with GSW in the '16 game. This one is very different, both in terms of roster and evolution. I like the change, hope I can still surprise my long time readers every now and then.

*The Warehouse, sometime between the April tapings of The Next Episode*

Brother Grimm accepted the joint that Gravedigga was holding out in an offering gesture. God knows he needed a hit after the news, but the best way to deal with 'digga was to go with his flow anyway. He was a wild one, barely playing up his true self as part of his gimmick, but not the fun lovin' kind of wild. Maybe it was the hood in him, but he'd get jumpy about pretty much anything. Polar opposite of Mobstar, whose only participation in all this discussion was to simply be around, arms crossed in front of his chest and leaning against a wall like a dopeman waiting for customers out on the street. He took a drag and let the smoke twirl in his lungs, mouth and nose before slowly blowing it out.

"This some fine-ass chronic, man. I'mma miss shit like this" Grimm said, trying to find some common ground for the conversation that lay ahead. It wasn't the first time he was in a rough negotiation, but somehow he could feel the outcome was already determined and he was simply there for damage control. Gravedigga was on his way out of GSW.

"You suckin' up to me now, Grimm? Cuz that's disrespectful. I ain't ever kissed yo ass in twenty years I worked for you" Gravedigga responded, ready as always to get offended for any reason, real or imaginary.

Grimm wanted to respond that 'disrespectful' was winning the title and immediately deciding to leave, but fanning the flames was the last thing he needed at that point. "Nah n***a, I'm sucking up this shit" he said playfully, before taking another hit and passing the j to Mobstar, who accepted it without saying a word. "I will warn you though, I better not see yo sorry ass inside an IPW ring" he added.

"Nah fam, f**k those bitches, word is bond, I'm out to try some different shit. Coastal Zone, maybe. Form a crew with Bullseye and Walls or some shit like that. Who knows?" Gravedigga answered, clearly the whole 'disrespect' stuff forgotten already.

Might have been the weed, but 'crew' made some cogs in Grimm's head turn in a pretty unusual manner. Things just clicked into place, as he shifted his attention from the departing Gravedigga to Mobstar who'd be staying behind.

"Know what?" Grimm spoke up, addressing Gravedigga again. "I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, or whatever the f**k they say in the big leagues. Fo real, I'mma see if I can pull some strings and hook you up. I just want you to give me one last match at the big show. Drop the gold and go out with a bang. Think you can do that?"

Gravedigga took a long hit from the joint Mobstar passed him and smiled, showing the gold and diamonds on his teeth as the smoke poured out like he was a dragon or something. The weed was getting to him, his head bobbing to the beats and bass seeping through the club's thick walls. He began to mumble.

"If theyre taking what you earn and you always getting burned, put their face on the curb, you gots to bang bang"

The episode begins with Big Magic and Brother Grimm in the office. Boneyard is there, but instead of his usual position a step behind Grimm, he's on the other side of the table, pitching his request for a one on one match against Raheem Stash. Grimm and Magic have the hard task of telling the big man his request has to be considered, since he's not the only one asking for opportunities. Others have made demands too and there's only one way to prioritize them: a match between the petitioners, tonight. (Rating: 59)

In the aftermath of the main event at A Matter of Respect and Magwitch returning to cost Capp and Fro the match as payback for Capp attacking the demented clown earlier, this one is full of heat and personal hatred from the get-go. It doesn't take long for weapons to be introduced to the match either and fan bloodthirst is satisfied with both men bleeding profusely just minutes into the bout. Once again, the episode kicks off with Boneyard in the middle of an intense conversation with Brother Grimm and Big Magic. GSW's power players tell the big man he had his chance last week and blew it, with Boneyard trying to argue that he got cheated out of a win. Grimm doesn't want to hear it and mentions how the once-mighty State of Destruction are now going downhill: Boneyard lost the American title and couldn't reclaim it, twice, while BB Colossus lost to Raheem Stash. Grimm says at this rate, he might have to consider hiring Stash as his personal bodyguard. Suddenly, Boneyard cracks a wicked smile and says he has an idea that might solve everyone's problems... He doesn't mince words when it comes to Big Magic though, saying he pulled the rug under his feet and surprised him, which isn't how title matches are supposed to be booked. Magic comes out to respond, saying this is the GSW and anything could happen at any time, so the champ better be ready to defend a title without notice. Clifford Caves and MC Motormouth provide some much needed context at the start of this match, explaining Mexico's Finest winning last week's main event saw Los Guerilleros push for a shot at the Tag Team titles and since LBC are now a three man group, this match was made while the request is being considered. Every bit the crazy hardcore brawl one would expect from these six, the match comes down to teamwork and cohesion. Los Guerilleros function like a well-oiled machine, whereas Mobstar is clearly more used to teaming with Gravedigga than Aces and Slick, something he pays for as he ends up getting isolated and pinned after Finest slams him to the mat with a Hard Times chokeslam. In a pre-taped message shot in his home streets of Compton, Busta Capp cuts a promo to talk about "keepin' it real" and how he treats wrestling with respect, something he feels Magwitch isn't. As the face of GSW, the veteran says he takes that personally and decided to do something about it. Magwitch may have gotten to jump him back, but this is only just beginning and "that clown" has no idea the lengths "real m*****ing G's" can go to. (Rating: 41)

Following up last week's arrangement, Foxxy LaRue meets Fro Sure in the main event but not in the ring, as their brawl is off to an early start before the entrances are completed. Most of the fighting takes place in the crowd, though it's not the usual GSW streetfight vibe; instead, given the two participants' style and physique, it's more of an intense, sparkplug-like exchange of blows back and forth until finally referee Moore Vincent is able to direct the action back into the ring. LaRue tries to hit the Flash Head Kick as Fro is getting back into the ring, but he barely sees it coming and pulls back, resulting in LaRue's foot getting caught up in the ropes. This provides Fro with enough time to get back inside and piledrive his opponent with the Sure Thing, laying LaRue out for the count. (Rating: 45)

In his first match since losing to Raheem Stash at A Matter of Respect, BB Colossus brought the fury down on his opponent but to his credit and despite the crowd's heckling, Devyn Retribution was able to stand his own ground and not get completely dominated by the big 400lber. For all his valiant effort though, it took one Colossus Avalanche to flatten him. (Rating: 31)

Busta Capp and E-Soteric are shown in Big Magic's office, pleading their cases for a match with Magwitch and TBJ respectively. Magic tells both men this will be settled in the ring, in tonight's main event; depending on what he'll see, he'll make arrangements. Actions, not words, matter to him. (Rating: 39)

Speaking of Tavon Blake Jr, he is up next making his first defence of the West Coast title against Miss Jones. An unusual contest for GSW, this one showcases TBJ's slick technical prowess and his opponent's experience when it comes to pacing and psychology (because her high flying moves are apparently starting to suffer due to age and piled-up damage). Oddly enough this works out nicely and in no small part thanks to the natural flow these two seem to have, with Blake delivering the Black Plex to retain. (Rating: 36)

Motor City Made are cutting a promo on Fro Sure's victory last week and a potential match against Deaf Touch for the American title when the Long Beach Crew walk by. Aces High and Mobstar are carrying the Tag Team titles and Cali Slick eyes DT's title, commenting it's not just Fro out to get it... (Rating: 38)

As announced, the main event is Capp versus E-Soteric with victory providing a boost to the winner's case. Not much wrestling on display here, this is a straight-up fist fight, with Capp's street style against E-Soteric's boxing-based punches. As the veteran ring general, Capp quickly realizes a clean fight between the ropes is to his detriment, so he manages to take things to the outside where he's most comfortable.

Magwitch makes his appearance out of the crowd, but Capp seems to have been expecting it and ducks an incoming chair shot, letting E-Soteric take its full force before delivering the Mafia Kick to drive the chair into the face of Magwitch. The kick clearly takes something out of Capp as well and he is clearly favouring one leg as he drags E-Soteric back to the ring, but he is still able to make the pin, win the match and leave the ring stumbling, but without any assistance, his fist defiantly held up high in a salute to the fans as he goes backstage. Motor City Made are in Big Magic's office as the episode begins, attempting to tell whether GSW's Commissioner of Violence thoughts on Cali Slick's title shot comments last week. Magic responds that the only thing penciled in so far is DT versus Fro Sure at Block Party, something MCM themselves arranged and agreed, as he reminds them. The Commissioner has no plans for a Slick versus DT title match, but he points out the pairing would make a great main event for tonight's episode, in a non-title match, of course. Besides, DT needs a warm up in light of his big title match... (Rating: 35)

Not seen since he scored the winning pinfall in the opening match of A Matter of Respect, Top Dolla returns to the ring to face Omar. The two men provide some good high flying in distinct flavors, Omar being the athlete and Top Dolla preforming the suicidal stunt dives. Fans seem to appreciate Dolla's reckless style and he has the audience behind him, leading to an explosion of cheers once he hits the Dinero Driver to win the match. (Rating: 37)

Boneyard clashes with the equally large Papa Swoll in a fistfight that quickly spills out of the ring. Swoll's minor size disadvantage is balanced by his superior agility as he moves around the crowd and hits his spots, but his inexperience shows when he spends too much time pandering to the crowd and Boneyard is able to take control of the match, hitting a Chokeslam for the pin. Tavon Blake Jr comes out with the West Coast title around his waist and a mic in hand, calling out E-Soteric. The former champion walks to the ring and TBJ cuts a promo to tell him the match between them was just business and he was being a competitor, giving it his all no matter who he was up against. No disrespect, no hard feelings, nothing personal. E-Soteric attempts to respond but seems to be mincing his words, so Blake cuts him off and tells him he's sorry they won't be having a rematch at Block Party, but he's still on his side and if management agrees to make it happen, he'd be more than happy to give E-Soteric a rematch. DT is accompanied to the ring as usual by Foxxy LaRue and in a show of unity, Aces High and Mobstar also escort Slick to the ring and remain at his corner for this match. The two men proceed to have a rather short but quite spectacular, straight wrestling match that wouldn't be out of place inside a TCW or MAW ring and Deaf Touch comes out on top of it, though in not the most decisive of fashions as he scores the pin by surprising Slick with a schoolboy roll up.
