I toyed with the idea; however, it made more sense to create a sense of drama around the Dark Watch/Follower-style faction. As we've seen thus far, Deacon is not afraid to verbally and physically harm his followers when they don't "live up to his lofty expectations." Yet, in the case of Melvin Otto, they stumble on back & rejoin his flock of sorts. Will that continue with Remmy Skye? That remains to be seen. I simply could not keep up with the size and amount of events for SWF. The only way I could have made it work would to turn into a full on recap model and I didn't want to get to that yet. With that in mind, I had to venture away from a big project and take on something like IPW; where I could take weeks off at a time and still be inline with the 'show a month' philosophy of a tiny company. Starting with Hardcore Havoc (the show we just completed) and ending with Invincibility (June, game-wise). To be eligible to win this contest, you will need to predict on 4 out of the 5 shows at a minimum (80%). WINNER'S REWARD If you are the winner after our 5 shows, then you will have the opportunity to create a new SoCal wrestler. There will be a backstory as to how you got here and you will join the IPW roster starting after Invincibility. Obviously, given our size, your wrestler will most likely NOT be a generational talent. Their promos pointed to that, leading the WrestleWorld viewers to anticipate their main event title match. From there, the shocking entrance and victory would only create a shocking scenario of sorts. He's consistently pulling match grades in the 50s since the start of the game (which is what IPW needs desperately). I was shocked though that GSW didn't even try to keep him. Either way, our win! I'm a big Lug fan as well. That said, it's just not his 'time' yet. I needed Frantic Ali to continue to look strong. From there, I'm thinking Lug will be a Tommy Dreamer-like figure. Dalton Posted February 10, 2021 Share Posted February 10, 2021 I'll be making a comeback in the contest just you wait! I thought I had already given feedback for the show but I guess I haven't! In white text below: The main event was so out-of-left-field that at first, I was very hesitant to like it. But then by the end of the segment, I was ecstatic. You took a huge risk by inserting a thought-to-be GSW loyalist in Cali Slick into the match you've been building to since the beginning. The dude quit IPW to join the upstart rival, and to see him come back in such a fashion would cause a riot, which I will get to. As for the main event itself, I guess it really doesn't matter since it was more of a pawn for the angle afterwards than anything, which is exactly what is should have been. Instead of inserting Slick into an undercard match, or even attacking Aldous (or Deacon) after he won the match, you said screw all that and made the most impact by Slick appearing smack dab in the main event. My one critique, which is something I'm sure you're aware of and attempted to remedy, was the referee counting three. If this is being presented as a "shoot," then the referee massively screwed up by allowing someone not in the match to get a win. I know you said he confusedly counted, but even then it is a bit weird. That is not the biggest deal though, and it isn't entirely unrealistic because IPW is small and the referee may have assumed he wasn't smartened up about a last minute change! And finally, the chaos you presented afterwards was the cherry on top. Remmy Skye ditching his gimmick, Boneyard laying in "real punches" and Moses making an appearance all contributed to making this appear real, which was of course your intended goal.
