As it pertains to the referee spot, when Cali Slick came out of the back and inserted himself into the match, he was wearing a black ski mask. At that point, the referee wouldn't really KNOW who was coming in. It creates confusion but, as you said, from a 'shoot perspective', he may feel as though he needs to 'roll with the punches' on a last second change. I'm really interested in you present Slick as champion at the next show.
