The show starts often the way it does. The Reckoning are coming to the ring. Brimstone and Evil Spirit stay silent and look over the small crowd while Sky King does all the talking.

Sky King: "Phenomenal E, each passing day your grip and that title slips. Today just happens to be the day you finally lose it. Not to me, but to carnage and chaos that has taken human form. Brimstone will end your precious title reign and bring me what is rightfully mine. Enjoy your last moments with that title, E. Tonight we end this."

With that said the trio make a exchange of words the fans cannot hear and then exit, leaving the ring empty before moments later the first match takes place.

Flying Patriot vs Fuego Fantastico

The match is short, but face paced and full of action. Patriot may get a few good moves in, but it soon turns into a nice showing of Fuego's skills as he quickly dispatches the other masked wrestler. The cocky luchador soon picks up another win with a nice looking 450 splash followed by a quick pinfall.

Winner: Fuego Fantastico

Black Flash vs Murugan

Things pick up as Murugan makes his first appearance taking on the surprise of last month, Black Flash. A much more competitive and polished match than the previous one it is Black Flash doing his best not only to put on a great match, but to also make Murugan look good at the same time. Murugan certainly shows potential with some slick offense and high flying moves to wow the crowd, but Black Flash has the skill and experience that helps him come out on top and get his first win in AAW after getting amazing hangtime on a senton bomb before nailing it and scoring the victory.

Winner: Black Flash

Arthur Dexter Bradly with Bailey & McKane vs Shiva, Mosher and Drop Kix

Trios action is up next to provide a crazy bout full of high flying moves and general chaos. All six men are all over the place and often Clarence Garcia threatens to stop the match in order to wrangle everyone in. It is back and forth with all six men getting to show their offense, but it is TJ and Shiva the shine the most for their respective teams, though all six men do well in the match itself. In the end during another flurry of chaos it is Shiva that takes out Clutch with an Executioner's Kick to claim victory for his team.

Winners: Shiva, Mosher, Drop Kix

Reilly Patton vs Cal Sanders

Reilly has talked a big game and even has a win over the champ, but he faces another veteran who has yet to be on the losing side on AAW. It is a match that starts out slow with a lot of feeling out before Reilly tries to quicken the pace and overwhelm the veteran. It works at first, but Cal starts to adjust his game to countering Reilly's offense with various submission holds. The two wrestle a match much more slow paced than all the previous ones and time starts to tick by as each man starts to gain some momentum only to be stopped by their opponent. Pinfalls are attempted as time ticks by and each one is unsuccessful. Cal gets a nice kimura locked in that almost gets Reilly to tap, but he reaches the ropes at the last moment. A missed frog splash allows Reilly to try and capitalize again. He works over Cal and gets several close pins that only makes him grow more frustrated with each kickout. Both men are looking worn down when Cal dodges a charge from Reilly and counters with a German suplex. He goes up for another Frog Splash attempt only for Reilly to hit the ropes and knock Cal outside. Clarence is counting when the bell rings. Reilly things he has won, but appears not to be true. The match was called a draw as it hit the thirty minute time limit.

Winner: Draw

Rating: 50

Reilly looks on in disbelief as he complains to Clarence while Cal recovers and pulls the cocky youth away from the referee and tosses him out of the ring. Reilly leaves in a huff as his attempts at intimidating the ref didn't go so well.

Phenomenal E © vs Brimstone

It is a tale of opposites when it comes to this match and last month. E and Black Flash just seemed to work in such a fluid manner it was easy to be drawn in and watch what they were doing. And while this match is far from bad, it does not match the quality of main events AAW has provided so far. A combination of the two just not seeming to be on the same page combined with the fact Phenomenal E is in a rare mode where he is making mistakes a veteran often does results in a match that can never find its footing. The two do their best to make it work and to his credit Brimstone does well and makes few mistakes himself. The pair do seem to sense dragging things out too long would only make things worse so some bits seem rushed. Brimstone looks close to winning a few times, but E ducks a clothesline and comes off the ropes with a big flying elbow. Brimstone is down and the champ quickly delivers the Tumbleweed Legdrop to score the win.

Winner and STILL Champion: Phenomenal E (Defenses: 2)

Rating: 43

The champ celebrates as Brimstone sulks off to lick his wounds and probably will be getting an earful from Sky King as well.

"How's he handling it?"

Phenomenal E: "He's trying to be professional, but he feels it was his fault. It was both of us. I must be getting old."

The last bit was perhaps meant to be comedic, but I could tell there was a bit of disappointment in Ed's voice. The main event didn't go over well in comparison to our previous ones, but it wasn't a disaster in my mind. If anything I felt bad for Brimstone who felt like he blew a big match for him. In the end it was a stumbling block AAW was bound to hit.

"I hope he doesn't let it stick. He has been doing well and don't want it to derail him."

Phenomenal E: "Me and Shep will be sure to do our best not to make that a problem."

"How are you doing? Didn't get hurt or anything did you?"

Phenomenal E: "No, nothing like that. Just a bad day. I am going to try to keep that from happening again."

He gives a grin, but once again anyone could tell he is still annoyed with himself and trying to be a professional about it. It isn't the first time Ed has had a night like this so I am sure he will be over it in a day or two, but just so shortly after the match I can understand why he is bothered.

"Well that is good. Just a small stumble. Everything will be back to the norm next month."

Phenomenal E: "Exactly! Let me know what you need to do, Clutch. I am going to ice myself down and head home."

It pays off to be a very small promotion on nights like this. A bad main event was still a decent enough match. The regulars might have been disappointed, but I also hope they feel that this was a mistake. All we can do is carry on and hope next month ends up better.

Mosher: "Eh? What do you mean?"

Drop Kix: "I am just saying I feel I need a challenge. Patriot is supposed to be my partner and all and here goes off doing this workout challenge with Clutch. I need someone to challenge."

Mosher just furrows his brow. Drop Kix seemed like a nice enough guy, but honestly the two have had little interaction. Yet here Drop Kix is wanting to do some sort of workout challenge.

Mosher: "What if I say I am not interested?"

Drop Kix: "Fair enough. I can't force you, but well I know you are a bit beat up and getting in better shape can only help?"

Now that one hits a bit low. Mosher realizes he isn't in BAD shape, but he is a bit injury prone, but at the same time it was much to his ring style when he started out. With a sigh Mosher just gives a nod.

Mosher: "Sure, why the hell not. You are on. We'll see who looks better when all is said and done."

Main Event AAW All Action Canadian Championship

Phenomenal E vs Mosher

Mosher ain´t going to get the belt here.

Other Matches Include

Black Flash vs Shiva

Tough one but I feel like there´s has to be a popularity difference that favors Shiva

Evil Spirit and Brimstone vs Bailey & McKane

I would love to go with Bailey & McKane mostly because I feel they are losing bit more than extablished tag team should but Spirit and Brimstone are on top stable so hard to see them losing momentum to guys who seem to be here to put other´s over.

Murugan vs Arthur Dexter Bradley

Bradley has pretty much been a jobber if I recall correctly but I still like him and he should still be more popular than Murugan so I go with him knowing I´m likely wrong here.

Fuego Fantasico vs Cal Sanders

Yet another tough one but as is the case with other two "new guys" vs. established guys matches on this show, I go with more established guy.

Fuego Fantastico vs Cal Sanders

Cal Sanders looks to bounce back against the rather spry and cocky luchador that is Fuego Fantastico. It is speed vs experience and Fantastico does take advantage early on, but Cal starts to catch little nuances from the luchador and adjusts his approach. He starts to play a more defensive game using counters to finally get an upper hand. Fantastico still comes close to the upset with some surprising and impressive moves, but in the end Cal comes out on top and the veteran nails the Frog Splash to win.

Cal has little time to enjoy his win as an annoyed Reilly Patton comes out with a microphone. He points to the veteran as he begins to speak.

Reilly Patton: "Last month was a sham. I had you beat and you just used the time to squeak out that draw. In the end I am better than you. I should be the one facing Phenomenal E! ME! Now I don't even have a match!"

Cal is about to respond to Reilly who has entered the ring at this point, but before he can someone steps out and clears his throat over a mic he is holding to get the attention of the pair.

iqGUOac.jpg

The champ is...oh...over there.

Phenomenal E: "I got business to settle with you, Reilly, but also I really like what I have seen, Cal. I know you have busted your ass for years and never got the recognition both you and I know you deserve. The way I see it I have to say you have been good too, Reilly. I like to consider myself a fighting champion so I'll tell you what. If I retain tonight I'll give myself a challenge. I'll face you both and put the title on the line. What do you two say to that?"

Both Cal and Reilly certainly are quick to agree and Reilly quickly gets a grin and he turns to try and get a quick one on Cal, but it seems Cal was expecting it and almost gets Reilly in an armbar before the younger wrestler squirms free and slides out of the ring. Phenomenal E just grins.

Phenomenal E: "I hope to see you two next month. Better be ready for a fight."

The champ leaves and Reilly too with his tail between his legs. Cal soon exits after making sure Reilly isn't going to try anything again.

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs Murugan

The pace picks up in the second match with the pair using somewhat similar styles that blend speed, high flying moves with a small bit of technical wrestling dabbled in. It makes for a watchable match as Murugan continues to impress and show flashes of someone that could make a name for himself. In the end it just isn't his night yet as a missed moonsault allows for ADB to gain control and eventually lay Murugan out with a Samoan Spike DDT.

Brimstone and Evil Spirit vs Bailey & McKane

A rather evenly contested match between the two teams. Bailey and McKane's experience as a team certainly keeps them in the match as the unorthodox style of Brimstone and Evil Spirit often give the pair trouble. The teams go back and forth for awhile before Clutch gets overwhelmed and is kept away from his team mate. He weathers the storm somehow and after a few close pinfalls he finally manages to get TJ in. TJ takes down both opponents and sends them outside before diving out and crashing into them again. He goes to throw Evil Spirit in the ring, but as he is following he gets blindsided by a recovered Brimstone. Clutch comes to the aid of his partner and Evil Spirit pulls a dazed TJ in while Brimstone and Clutch fight outside. Spirit looks to put TJ away, but instead TJ gets a quick surprise rollup and a win.

Winners: Bailey & McKane

Sky King comes out looking infuriated as both Brimstone and Evil Spirit are trying to recover. He berates the pair loudly as they are ushered to the back mentioning getting rid of the pair if they keep messing up and possibly bringing in some real help if they mess up again.

Shiva vs Black Flash

Black Flash continues to win over the crowd while also showing he can hang with the best that AAW has to offer. In this case it is Shiva who is in for a surprise and perhaps underestimated his opponent. He is dismantled quickly at first, but after taking a power outside he gets enough time to think of a new approach. Even so it is a even and hotly contested match. Shiva's stiff strikes take a lot out of Black Flash, but likewise Flash hits Shiva with some inventive, high flying moves that throw him off his game. It is a shame it comes down to the fact Shiva gets a bit dirty and pulls at Black Flash's mask and almost gets it off. It leaves Flash struggling to quickly pull it back on properly and he does so just in time to get nailed with an Executioner's kick. Shiva wins a rather hard fought battle.

Phenomenal E © vs Mosher

After a match that saw Phenomenal E perhaps deliver his worst performance he bounces back in a good match that mixes his high flying with the dirty brawling of Mosher. Mosher really controls the majority of the match as he is a bit larger than his opponent and he uses it to his advantage. It comes close to having a new champ declared, but E continues to kick out and keep himself into the match. His tenacity allows him to stay in the match and eventually get in some offense along with gaining momentum. Mosher is reeling when he is taken down by a beautiful dropkick that is quickly followed up by a Tumbleweed Legdrop from the champ. It was a close one, but the champ retains this time.

"You've been a bit distracted today. Everything okay?"

Sky King: "Hmm? I am fine, just annoyed."

Me and Shep were hanging out at the usual diner we frequent when talking plans and just wanting to hang out. Sometimes we even go awhile not even talking about wrestling. It rarely feels like boss and employee and honestly that helps make the job so much easier.

"Yeah? Not like you. What has you all annoyed."

Sky King: "Small matter. I was contacting the Confederation of the Territories. Mostly sending out some feelers for if we ever get bigger. Pretty much was told Cliff over at CZCW was against it no matter what. Not sure if it is a size thing or what. Never met the guy so don't think it would be personal, but people are weird."

"That stinks. I mean I knew of the Confederation, but never considered us joining them. We're just so small."

Sky King: "Maybe something to revisit in the future. I also heard you lost your little challenge with Lenny."

I let out a small laugh and nodded. It was a silly challenge just to see who could get in better shape, but it seems Flying Patriot took it much more seriously. I managed to go from rather undefined to showing some tone, but Lenny really hit the gym and packed on some muscle and weight. Hopefully the new look will help him out both with us and finding work elsewhere. He's a good guy and even if not a big name for us he is useful to have around.

"Guilty, but I'll take that loss. In the end we both won and I feel a bit better about my look now. Lost that tiny bit of gut I did have."

Sky King: "Good. Keep in shape. it will help out as the years go on. Trust me on that. Also not sure if you got the email I sent yet, but Murugan finally found a place to stay here. He isn't having to fly back to India now so that should save us money."

That ended up being a bit of a surprise, but perhaps Murugan saw something we don't know and realized India might not be getting a promotion any time soon. He's a nice guy and has a future in the business so I hope his move to Canada works out. Not only that any bit of money we can save is good. We still got Black Flash, Fuego and Evil Spirit flying in every month and those costs all add up. Flash is still hopeful to find work in his homeland or Japan so doubt he will ever move over. The others I am not so sure.

Sky King: "Hey, you are the one looking distracted now. You ready to talk business?"

"Oh, sorry. Well we got the big match coming up and this is what I was thinking...."*

Happy to see ADB get a win last month but while he´s likely more over than Flash, Flash is the one who seems to get instant push and I figure he´s going over here since I feel he have had more of a spotlight than ADB lately.

TJ Bailey vs Fuego Fantastico

I feel pretty much the same way on this than on previous match, happy to see TJ get a win last show and likely more popular from these two but Fantastico have felt like he´s doing more lately so I give him a win here.

G Force vs Murugan

Don´t remember if G Force has already been here before or if this is a new signing but if I recall right he wasn´t particularly good anyway so figuring Murugan gets the win here either way.

Patriotic Fury (Drop Kix and Flying Patriot) vs Brimstone and Evil Spirit

That loss and following angle last month makes me doubt if that alliance with Sky King is long term deal but right now, Brimstone and Spirit are still higher in my books with them being on alliance with one of your top guys while Patriotic Fury haven´t done whole lot just yet.

The show starts with Sky King leading Evil Spirit and Brimstone out and giving them a small pep talk. Most can't be heard aside from him loudly telling the two not to screw up again and a bit can be heard about getting revenge later. Sky King then turns about to leave as his followers climb into the ring and get ready for their match.

Brimstone and Evil Spirit vs Patriotic Fury

It looks like Brimstone and Evil Spirit are more than eager to get back on the winning track. That or they fear what Sky King might do if they were to lose again. They overwhelm Patriotic Fury early on and give the team little time to get any offense in. It is a storm Patriotic Fury manages to weather though and a well timed dodge from Flying Patriot to avoid a double team allows him to tag in Drop Kix who starts to unload on Brimstone and Evil Spirit. Things get a bit chaotic and Clarence Garcia tries to get control. Eventually Evil Spirit is tossed outside and both members of Patriotic Fury climb up top and deliver a double missile dropkick to Brimstone. Drop Kix makes the cover as Flying Patriot launches himself outside to wipe out Evil Spirit and preventing him from interrupting the count.

Murugan vs G Force

A fast paced and rather short match featuring two of the younger talents. In a way G Force shows himself to be perhaps a bit less polished version of Murugan and the pair spend a bit of time trading big moves to get the audience into the match. Both men give it their all given both are trying to get their first win in AAW and in the end Murugan is the one that manages to put one in the win column when he hits G Force with a moonsault that has excellent hangtime before the landing.

TJ Bailey vs Fuego Fantastico

TJ may be getting older, but he shows he can hang with the much younger and faster Fuego Fantastico in a bout that sees both men get in a fair amount of offense. It is one of Fuego's better performances and a lot of that can be chalked up to TJ's abilities in helping lead the younger worker and help the match flow better without being as spotty as something as the previous two bouts. Fuego comes close a few times to getting the victory, but TJ manages to make a late comeback and hit Fuego with TJ Time and pick up the win.

Winner: TJ Bailey

Of course he doesn't get much time to celebrate because of....

Ugh, these guys again

Brimstone and Evil Spirit hit the ring and start to to deliver a beatdown onto the already tired TJ Bailey as it seems we find out about the revenge that Sky King was talking about. Thankfully help will come in the form of...

PWKurmW.jpgd7qNnoB.jpg

Haha, nope!

Well Clutch McKane was coming out to save his partner, but it seems Sky King was waiting in the wings and quickly jumps the would be rescuer and rains down some heavy blows to him as well. Bailey and McKane are left laying out as Sky King looks please. For now it seems the members of The Reckoning are on the same page even after the slip up from earlier.

Black Flash vs Arthur Dexter Bradley

Two of the better performers meet for the first time in a match that is given plenty of time to let the two just work and tell a story in the ring that draws the audience in. It is a good mix of brawling, high flying and technical wrestling. Something both men can all do well. It allows a good flow and change up of pace that makes things very watchable and highlights the talent of both men. There are multiple close pinfalls over the course of the match and finally it is Black Flash that just ends up being a bit better this time around. He manages to get ADB long enough to nail a beautiful Senton and picks up the win.

Phenomenal E vs Reilly Patton vs Cal Sanders

Phenomenal E's biggest challenge yet some would argue. He faces not only the one man that has a victory over him in AAW, but Cal Sanders who has shown to be a dangerous opponent that has yet to have a loss. It is clear Reilly may be good, but he is the odd man out here. Thankfully he has two skilled veterans helping him look good and make the match look to where any man could win. It is several times where pins are broke up at the last moment and there are a few submission victories that happen before the third man makes the save at the last time. It becomes an endurance test as the match stretches past twenty minutes. Through all this Reilly still seems all to cocky and with the champ down he has Cal Sanders in trouble. He hits the Cradle Slam and perhaps takes too long to pin because he wants to show off. It was a bad idea because Phenomenal E has recovered and hits Reilly from Behind and then nails a dropkick to down the cocky youth. He quickly climbs the ropes and hits the tumbleweed legdrop to pin Reilly and avenge his loss.
