Keith Vegas Conquers The Industry! [AVOID NOW, DON'T CLICK]

Recommended Posts

If you've come here looking for a good story, or a coherent narrative, or even sensical booking, you've come to the wrong place. Turn back now, else you'll be terrified of how horrible I am at booking, and how Keith Vegas shall conquer the SWF.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..

So! Hello! I'm a person, thing, it - whatever you want to call me, and I am here, and I've been here for some time and I've never really done anything notable but that's besides the point! Because this story isn't about ME (or else it would be called 'Person Conquers the SWF, Goes Mad With Power!'), this is a story about how Jerry Eisen woke up one day and felt reeaaaallly woozy and for some reason decided Keith Vegas was THE star professional wrestling needed.

Not Rocky, not Nicky, but Keithy-baby! :p:D:p:D

SO, for the general rules of this save:

1. Keith Vegas will be signed to a 5-year Exclusive Written Deal at the start of the save. If he is not at 90 Popularity in the US and isn't at least 50% towards being a Hall Of Immortals inductee when the deal expires, I have failed.

2. If Keith Vegas is injured so badly he must retire or retires before his deal expires, I failed.

3. Start Variance is off.

4. Dojo Graduations is turned off, though I am allowed to send workers to the Centre to develop.

5. Keith Vegas will not be sent to developmental or the performance centre.

6. If the Supreme Wrestling Federation falls below Medium Size at any point, I have failed.

7. If Keith Vegas leaves before his deal expires, I have failed.

8. All penalties are turned on. (Match Ratios, Storylines, Gimmicks, etc.)

9. I must book "naturally," meaning no 'Keith debuts and dominates Rocky, winning world title' angles, as to prevent an inflation of his HOI Percentage.

10. I will not spend any user talent points, because uh.. difficulty I suppose!

And that's it! :p

I won't really be telling a proper 'story' here, I just want to see if anyone is interested in watching how far I can take Keith Vegas to heights he's never imagined he'd reach. It will likely mostly be show results, and company news and any major incidents in the Game World that I post about. Don't expect Historian level content here -- I've only got so much to work with after all, but I hope this can at least catch some eyes.

HAWAIIAN CRUSH VS. FAME & MONEY

LNIlcq2.jpgdvEu3Oy.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgb8B8Brn.jpgGyKgtwx.jpg

Some stuff happened and Fame & Money got away with a sneaky DQ victory after like 13 minutes of stuff. Somebody teach these referees to do their jobs right!

THE AWESOMENESS TALK! A LOT!

r1iJUMT.jpgQIE7wq5.jpg

Jefferson and Huey are on screen for like, what feels like ages, just talking. What are they talking about? I have no idea, I didn't pay attention. There's nothing going on so far on this card, I think it was slapped together by someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Either, way, anytime The Awesomeness are on screen ratings pop, so it got a good rating from me, the lovely critic (Not the booker, of course, I'm NOT the booker.)

MATCH

JAMES PRUDENCE VS. BRETT BIGGINS

p8fOvQJ.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgfKkgiea.jpg

James and Brett wrestled for like nine and a half minutes. I don't know why, but James won. A decent match, I suppose, though nobody cared. James went backstage, no reactions sending him off.

SPENCER SPADE ALSO TALKS A BUNCH!

Spencer "The Supreme Star" Spade or whatever they call him is on screen for a fair amount of time. I didn't pay attention to what he had to say, though.

XA2FpfW.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgxthLf1E.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgtWLBtHc.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgouT5m4E.jpg

Part of me feels like this match was here to fill time. (Editors note: It was.) Valiant goes over three jobbers after like ten minutes and calls it a day. Decent enough, little reaction, really just so Valiant could do something on the show it seems.

MATCH

DES DAVIDS © VS. JUSTIN SENSITIVE

nvPAwEW.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgqT4wzwQ.jpg

A random title bout on Supreme TV? Interesting. Des Davids takes on resident like-Bret Starr-but-not-Bret Starr (jobber) Justin Sensitive. What did you expect? Des destroys the man in just under five minutes, further proving that the SWF has no true plan for Justin. Wait.. do they call him Des because it's short for Destroyer?! Destroyer Davids?! SWF creative, hire me now!

Des Davids Addresses Some Things?

nvPAwEW.jpg

After not even breaking a sweat annihilating Justin Sensitive, Des takes a microphone and talks about how he has some plans for the future of the North American title belt. More specifically, about how he'll announce something NEXT week that'll be important. Why tell us now, Des? Why?! Oh, and he also buries Justin even harder in this segment. Poor Justin.

MATCH

HOLLYWOOD BRET STARR VS. JOEY MORGAN

tfFdZB9.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgY1qshuR.jpg

I must be a damn prophet. I talked about Bret in the last write up, and now here he is! He takes on Joey Morgan in a solid bout, and comes out with the victory fourteen minutes later. Decent enough stuff, sadly without a story. Starr and Morgan should be headlining shows!....Hang on, I'm being yelled at.

...Whaddya mean no? Well, I didn't ask for your opinions, Dave! We don't observe wrestling, we watch it!... That's the same thing? Dammit, I guess I need to rebrand.

Hype Video!... For The Next Match!

A hype video for the upcoming match. How do you do a hype video without a storyline attached, I hear you ask? Well, you don't. That's why this video sucked, and why it was mostly just highlights from 2019 from these two guys' respective feuds. Filler package. This whole card is filler. I want a refund already.

MAIN EVENT

ZWB VS. ROGUE

YVQ8tDf.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgMftpG0d.jpg

A solid bout. ZWB versus Rogue could probably sell out an arena... for a CZCW show. This is SWF! I paid to see Rocky and Remo, Scythe and Randy! What are these guys doing on my TV in the Main Event slot?! They're stinking up the joint! Well, not really, it was a watchable fourteen minute bout. ZWB picks up a victory here, so I guess I can't complain. At least they're putting Rogue out to pasture it seems. Speaking of which - Where's Gilmore and Crippler? They already gone? Nah, I would've heard about it. Guess they aren't booked. Shocker.

Rating: 69

ANGLE

WowPWZ7.jpg

Shit, shit shit! I turned the TV off right after ZWB won! C'mon, switch to the channel, switch to the channel- oh, it's Scythe?! Well THIS I paid to see! What's he talking about... oh-ho-ho! He's calling out Rocky Golden! He's gonna 'Cut the Gold-Standard down, and make it the Scythe Standard'? I don't know what that means, but if this means a Scythe vs. Rocky angle I think I'm sold!

Rating: 78

SHOW RATING: 57

Notes from the reviewer:

This show was awful. No stories! But I hear they're making some signings so maybe they're waiting to start up new storylines... who knows, I don't. I'm not the booker, I'm just a guy who rants about wrestling shows.

SWF: SUPREME TV RESULTS

Held in Maine, in front of 7,656 fans!

PRE-SHOW

fKkgiea.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgVYIg8RK.jpg

BRETT BIGGINS VS. RAPHAEL

A pre-show bout this week, that I did not watch because it was not televised. All I can say is the result, Raphael went to a no-contest with Brett Biggins. It was apparently a shit match, though we can't blame poor Raphael for that - he hasn't worked anywhere that's not a high school gym yet, starting him out on the Pre-Show was a smart decision by SWF. Either way, it showcases that Raph may either be buried or be built up later, and that Brett still stinks. I don't make the rules.

ROCKY RESPONDS!

I9JjL9x.jpg

Rocky Golden comes out and talks about how Scythe actually cannot cut him down because he's the Supreme Star or something or other and he's never going to let some pesky heel get away with bashing him. So now that we've set up for Scythe vs. Rocky, what are we going to do with it? Who knows, probably draw it out for six months before they actually face off. SWF wouldn't do that.. right? Perhaps at this weeks PPV they'll square off... right? :o

OPENING MATCH

9HEBlxE.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgAdw5s7A.jpg

LENNY BROWN VS. DOMINIC DeSOUSA

Lenny Brown and Dominic DeSousa wrestle for a bit, it isn't a bad watch for a TV match, either. These two know what they're doing and how to get the crowd involved - I'd wager they have bright futures in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Lenny especially, dude's a stud. Long story short, Lenny picks up a victory over Dominic.

I forgot they gave Randy Bumfhole that stupid motherf****ng name. "Randy Unleashed." His name was better before, and that's something I NEVER thought I'd write. Whatever, he comes out and steals the show against jobby-Robbie and picks up a victory in the early segments of the show.

FAME & MONEY RANT ABOUT HAWAIIAN CRUSH!

The reigning tag champs take center stage in the backstage... wait, nevermind I'm not gonna think about it. They take up some screen time, using it to bash everything about Hawaiian Crush - their talent, their looks, their past matches, everything. Probably a feud SWF wants to build the tag division around but frankly I couldn't care less right now. Paul and Monty are good with microphones though so it was a decent enough promo.

THE AWESOMENESS VS. THE PAIN ALLIANCE

QIE7wq5.jpgr1iJUMT.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgn9U6TCd.jpg1rnmUfD.jpg

The Awesomeness come out and showcase why they should be the future of North American Tag Team Wrestling in my eyes. Two studs with talent, charisma against a has-been and Big Smack Scott. Awesomeness pick up a victory here, much to my and everyone else's delight. Nobody wants Big Smack Scott near titles.

...Actually, I think Big Smack Scott should be the next World Champ. That'd be a hell of a story! Hey! SWF, HIRE ME!!

HOLLYWOOD BRET COMPLAINS!

Imagine for a moment that you're Hollywood Bret Starr. Related to an icon named Micky (no, not the mouse.) You're supremely talented and charismatic, good-looking and make crowds hate your guts. Imagine you're all of that.

Now stop imagining because you aren't. Hollywood Bret comes on screen and whines about how he's nowhere near the title picture right now, and that makes him upset. Good stuff, Bret always gets a reaction.

JUNGLE LORD VS. ATOM SMASHER

Vj7LyGi.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgHzV5JLj.jpg

Two more has-beens. SWF never learns. Atom and Lord go back and forth for a while before Jungle Lord picks up a victory. A watchable match but nothing special, as expected from guys who were never really much to begin with.

MAIN EVENT

ROCKY GOLDEN VS. JAMES PRUDENCE

I9JjL9x.jpgn9hW8Xe.jpgp8fOvQJ.jpg

A main event designed to make Rocky look good. Rocky goes over clean, as he does every other time he wrestles (perks of being one of the top talents in the US, I guess.) Nothing else really to say here, is there? Rocky def. Prudence, a typical SWF Main Event.

ROCKY'S NOT DONE!

Following his triumphant victory, Rocky reaches for a microphone and makes a declaration that any and all bad guys who try to take his belt away from him and conquer the Supreme Wrestling Federation will end up just like James Prudence. A promo aimed more at Scythe, and one that sets up for a series of matches (probably, assuming they don't screw this up.) Good way to end the show, it got a massive reaction.
