And WELCOME, to Saturday Night's Main Event: Vengeance! Hello everyone, I'm Gorilla Monsoon and I'm joined as always, by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan! And, Brain, we have seven big matches lined up for tonight, with three championships on the line!

Heenan: Big whoop!

Monsoon: What do you mean "big whoop?"

Heenan: I didn't stutter!

Monsoon: Have you got a problem with tonight's card, Brain?

Heenan: Of course I do, I'm not on it!

Monsoon: WILL Y... how long are you gonna whine about losing your managerial license, Brain? It's been 2 months already!

Heenan: I was robbed!

Monsoon: You were not, you brought it on yourself! And you're gonna bring a lot more trouble on yourself too if you keep messing around with Orndorff and sticking your nose in Mr. Perfect's business!

Heenan: How many times do I have to tell you, I didn't ha... ah, what do you know?!!

Monsoon: Hold on a minute, Brain, we've got something going on backstage.

The camera cuts backstage, where we see Ric Flair arriving at the arena in a limousine.

He steps out and hands a young security guard some cash. The guard goes off-screen and comes back with a red carpet, rolling it out near the same door Flair emerged from, as the lovely Elizabeth joins Flair.

They lock arms and head into the arena.

Heenan: I wonder what they're up to?

Monsoon: I'm sure they're just here to enjoy the show, Brain.

Heenan: No way, Monsoon! He is up to no good, I guarantee it!

Monsoon: Alright, Brain, I've had enough of you right now. I've just been handed a note, and it looks like an eighth match has been added to the card. It will be Owen Hart, making his long-awaited, in-ring return, as he takes on Typhoon of the Natural Disasters!

Heenan: Who's been waiting?

Monsoon: I'm not getting into this with you, Brain. Let's go down to "The Fink" for our opening contest!

Heenan: What did I say?

The Final Showdown - 2 out of 3 Falls

Terry Funk vs. The Texas Tornado

We start the show with arguably the most anticipated match of the evening, the long-awaited Wrestlemania 7 rematch between Terry Funk and The Texas Tornado. The time for talking was over. The time for backstage attacks was over. The time for threats was over. It was time for both men to put up or shut up, and determine who Texas' best actually was.

The 1st Fall: The Texas Tornado was an absolute house of fire to start this one, taking months and months of frustration out on Funk in a matter of five or six minutes. And even though he was furious, he still had the wherewithal to cover Funk after a Tornado Punch and pick up the first fall at 6:55.

The 2nd Fall: Tornado was still filled with rage though. As Funk made it back to his feet, finally allowing Referee Earl Hebner to call for the start of the second fall, Tornado stormed his foe, basically tackling him over the top rope to the outside. It was Tornado who took the brunt of the fall though, banging his head on the edge of the ring apron on the way down. As the match made it back into the ring, Funk would focus all his attention on the head and neck of Tornado, claiming the second fall of the match with a Piledriver at 12:31.

The 3rd Fall: With the match tied at a fall apiece, Funk was raring to go, hoping to end the match quickly while Tornado was still in a bad way. He repeatedly tried to attack Tornado before he could get back to his feet, causing Hebner to nearly call for a disqualification after Funk's fifth or sixth attempt. This of course would lead to his termination, so Funk backed off. It was nearly five minutes before Tornado could stand on his own, and a man in his condition should have been easy pickings for a veteran like Funk. Funk had apparently changed his mind though, opting for more punishment instead of victory. He attacked with a flurry of hard, left hands, focusing on the stitches he gave Tornado two weeks ago and busting him wide open. With Tornado now bleeding profusely, Funk locked in a sleeper hold. Tornado tried his best to fight it, but it seemed like a lost cause as his hand dropped limp on Hebner's first check. The second check yielded the same result, an unresponsive drop. Funk cinched the sleeper in tighter as Hebner went for the third, and final check. Unbelievably, Tornado actually responds, mere tenths of a second before his hand hits the mat. Stunned, Funk releases the hold and begins to vigorously stomp on Tornado, only stopping to pound the still pouring forehead of Tornado with more hard lefts. Finally, he drags a limp Tornado back to his feet and hits another Piledriver. He covers but Tornado kicks out at the last second, causing Bobby Heenan to explode with disbelief on commentary. Funk pushes Tornado's shoulders back down and hooks a leg for another pinning attempt. But again, Tornado kicks out. Funk lays into Tornado with even more hard lefts to his blood-soaked forehead and pulls him up for another Piledriver attempt. Funk gets him in the air, but Tornado reverses, kicking his legs to cause Funk to have to reset. As soon as Tornado's feet hit the mat again on the reset, he hooks Funk's legs, dragging him down to the mat. He flips over on top of Funk, never letting go of his legs, hooking both for a pin attempt, but Funk just barely manages to get a shoulder up. Tornado doesn't get a chance to capitalize on his pin attempt, as Funk quickly gets to his feet and attacks again, kicking Tornado's leg out from under him as he tries to get up. At this point Funk begins to work on Tornado's left leg, stomping it, kicking it, twisting it, and stretching it, before finally hitting a Shin Breaker and calling for his patented Spinning Toe Hold. As he locked in the move and turned back toward Tornado after the first spin, Tornado pulled him into a small package for the sudden and final pinfall. The Texas Tornado wins an outstanding match, 2 falls to 1, in 20:51. The Texas Tornado proves once and for all, that he's Texas' best!

As the bell rang it was actually Funk up first, since despite his win, Tornado was still in pretty bad shape. Funk went straight to the ringside table where the ring attendant had left his branding iron and rolled back into the ring. Commissioner Graham rushed out with a microphone.

Graham: You have no leeway here, Mr. Funk. Do it and you're fired as promised!

Funk drew the iron back over his head anyway but hesitated. Tornado begged him to do it, and he probably would have, had Paul Orndorff not run down to take the iron from him.

Orndorff wasn't under threat of being fired though, so he attacked Tornado with the branding iron himself, nailing him in the head as Funk cheered him on. And who knows how far he would have taken the beating, had Mr. Perfect not intervened.

Perfect cleans house, wrestling the branding iron away from Orndorff, and getting a good shot in on both Funk and Orndorff as they scurry out of the ring. Perfect motions towards the back, as medical personnel rush to the ring to check on a battered and bloody Texas Tornado.

WWF World Tag Team Championship

After barely escaping with their titles against The Birds of Prey(LOD under masks) on Prime Time, Money Inc. were very skittish in the early going of this one, getting into a light shoving match when deciding who would start the match. Their skittishness was justified too, as Hawk and Animal spent the majority of this one dishing out more of the same punishment they did while portraying Falcon and Eagle on Prime Time. A title change seemed certain until Sid interjected himself late in the match, coaxing Hawk into a ringside confrontation. The distraction gave I.R.S. just enough time to slip DiBiase his briefcase, and you can guess what happened from there. Money Inc. makes defense number 3 of their WWF World Tag Team titles.

As Hawk heard the 3 count he rushed into the ring, attacking DiBiase. I.R.S. picked up the briefcase though and whacked Hawk in the back of the head with it. With both of his men down, Paul Ellering would have been wise to make himself scarce. He made the opposite choice though, entering the ring to check on his guys. DiBiase tried to intimidate him, but Ellering didn't back down. That was his second mistake, as Sid attacked from behind and hit Ellering with a Powerbomb to finish off The Legion of Doom. A contented DiBiase cackles proudly as we cut to an advertisement for the WWF fan club.

Owen Hart w/ Jim Neidhart vs. Typhoon w/ Earthquake and Jimmy Hart

In his first match back from injury, Owen Hart was looking to join his brother Bret in Hart family members who had defeated a Natural Disaster this week, after Bret defeated Earthquake on Prime Time. And despite giving up nearly 200 pounds to Typhoon in this prototypical "David vs. Goliath" match, Owen was able to stick and move, never really letting Typhoon get his hands on him for any length of time, and eventually connect with a Missile Dropkick for the pin at 10:18.

As the match ended, Jim Neidhart was coming into the ring to celebrate with Owen when he was attacked by Vader and Rick Rude.

Seeing this, Owen tried to intervene, only to be attacked himself by Earthquake. With Neidhart taken out, crushed against the ring post by Vader, Owen Hart was the next target for Vader and Rude. As they enter the ring, The Natural Disasters and Jimmy Hart quickly exit, as Vader and Rude laugh at their fear. But when the crowd erupts, Vader and Rude realize they weren't running from them, but from Bret Hart, who was speeding towards the ring with a steel chair in hand.

Rude and Vader split up, trying to escape through the crowd, but only Rude is successful. Vader takes two hard chair shots to the back as he's trying to go over the barricade, but basically no-sells both, quickly rolling back to his feet and sprinting around the ring and towards the dressing room. Hart doesn't follow though, instead yelling for someone to come check on Owen and an unconscious Neidhart.

WWF Intercontinental Championship

"The Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff w/ Dmitri © vs. Sgt. Slaughter

Coming into this match, Nikita Koloff had only lost to two men since he came to the WWF. One of them was Hulk Hogan, and the other was Sgt. Slaughter, in a tag team match at Backlash last month. Still yet, not many people gave Slaughter a chance coming into this one, calling that submission victory over Koloff a fluke since Koloff had accidentally been hit by his partner Dmitri before the Cobra Clutch. Slaughter kinda proved his doubters wrong here though, winning a pretty good match in 15:53. And I say kinda because he had a little help from the Big Boss Man,

who stopped Dmitri from interfering by taking him out with a steel chair. This distracted Koloff for just long enough to be rolled up from behind and pinned by Slaughter. Sgt. Slaughter wins the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Crush w/ Ultimate Warrior vs. Hercules w/ The Army of Darkness

Not many men can match Hercules physically, but Crush more than held his own against the strongman, leading to a hard-hitting fight with not much in the way of actual wrestling. The question of whether Crush could have ultimately got the win by pinfall or submission would have to wait until another day though, as Smash and Kevin Sullivan would attack Crush right in front of Referee Tim White at 11:29. Crush wins a decent match by disqualification.

The Ultimate Warrior tries to help Crush fight off Smash, Sullivan, and Hercules, but Undertaker joins the fray and Warrior and Crush quickly find themselves on the wrong end of the Army of Darkness.

The British Bulldog suddenly bursts onto the scene to help Warrior and Crush, but the Army of Darkness is just too much, as Hercules puts out Crush with the Full Nelson, Sullivan hits the Devil Stomp on Bulldog and Undertaker finishes off the trio with a Tombstone for Warrior.

Steel Cage Match

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty

The ring mat had already been changed once tonight, following a very bloody Texas Tornado's win over Terry Funk in the night's opening match. It would have to be changed again following this one. The Heartbreak Kid would enter the cage first, and despite his outward confidence, you could practically see the fear in his eyes. And even if you couldn't see it in his eyes, you could have seen it with your own when Jannetty entered the cage and Michaels immediately tried to escape, quickly climbing almost to the top before Jannetty could pull him down. And Michaels didn't just come down, he came down crotch first onto the top rope, eliciting an enormous pop from the Houston crowd.

Jannetty would go on a prolonged offensive to start this one, never even feigning interest in an escape or pinfall attempt despite several opportunities for both. He had made it his sole mission to make Michaels pay for his betrayal, and he was succeeding. By the eight-minute mark, Michaels was bleeding, busted open after being repeatedly launched face-first into the cage. Jannetty wouldn't stop there though, as he proceeded to remove one of the top turnbuckle pads. He rammed Michaels' head into the exposed steel at least four times, the fourth launching "The Heartbreak Kid" into the air, as he came to a rolling stop in the center of the ring. Seemingly satisfied with what had transpired, Jannetty finally started up the cage to escape. It was confusing though, as why wouldn't he just use the door? Well, that was cleared up quickly when Jannetty stopped a few feet short of the top and turned back toward the ring. Standing probably 12 feet from the mat, Jannetty leaped from the cage with a flying elbow drop. Michaels rolled out of the way at the last second though, as Jannetty crashed spectacularly to the canvas.

Rolling out of the way was all the energy a bloodied Michaels could muster, as both men lay motionless on the canvas for several minutes. It was Michaels that moved first though, slowly dragging himself out of a pool of his own blood towards the cage door, where ringside Referee Danny Davis held it open. Michaels was already part of the way out the door by the time Jannetty started to move, but somehow Jannetty got to him before he could get more than a few fingers on the arena floor. Jannetty pulled him back into the ring, but Michaels kicked him off, then hit a low blow to finally take the advantage for himself. He started by whipping Jannetty chest first into the same exposed turnbuckle that Jannetty had busted his head open on earlier. Jannetty hit the corner with a wicked thud, drawing an audible groan from the crowd. Michaels didn't show his former partner any mercy though, immediately dropping an elbow into the apparently injured chest of Jannetty, followed by several stiff-looking stomps. Jannetty was now writhing in agony, as Michaels turned him onto his stomach and applied a camel clutch, the move putting immense pressure on Jannetty's chest. Yet, when in-ring Referee Shane Stevens asked if Jannetty wanted to submit, he refused adamantly. Realizing Jannetty was probably never going to submit to him, Michaels released the hold. Michaels could have easily escaped at this point, as Jannetty was having very visible breathing issues. Much like Jannetty did earlier in the match though, Micheals chose to add insult to injury instead, pulling Jannetty to his feet and ramming him headlong into the cage. Then headlong into the exposed steel turnbuckle. Then headlong into another side of the cage, then another, and finally the other. Michaels then catapulted Jannetty into the corner, sending him over the turnbuckles, his head smacking the ring post. Jannetty's forehead now matched Michaels', as blood trickled onto the mat.

Michaels was exhausted himself at this point, obviously having lost a lot of blood, so it took him a minute before he went for the cover. A hush had fallen over the crowd at this point, as it seemed the result was academic. But Jannetty had other ideas, and the fans exploded to their feet as he got a shoulder up at 2 and 3/4. Michaels was in disbelief as he and Jannetty made it to their feet nearly simultaneously. They began to trade punches, with Michaels being the first to miss, putting him on the receiving end of an Atomic Drop. Jannetty quickly rolled him up from behind, but Michaels kicked out and in the blink of an eye pulled Jannetty into a small package. At the count of two, Jannetty reversed the small package into a pin attempt of his own, but Michaels kicked out. Both men rose quickly to their feet and Michaels took another swing at Jannetty, which was ducked again and Jannetty hooked Michaels' arms for a backslide pin attempt. Michaels kicked out again though, rolled quickly to his feet, and nailed a rising Jannetty with a Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere, collapsing onto his former partner for the three count. Shawn Michaels wins a brutal Steel Cage Match in 19:37.

WWF Women's Championship

After attacking Robin when she won the Women's Title at SNME: Backlash last month, Madusa said she gained quite a bit of respect for Robin when she heard how confident and determined she was in her first promo as champion. Coming into the match, fans were left wondering if it was genuine respect, or simply a ruse to cause Robin to let her guard down. That was answered about halfway through this match, when Madusa, having found herself on the wrong end of a momentum swing, refused a foreign object offered by Zbyszko at ringside. Instead, she opted to try and simply outwrestle Robin for the victory and the championship. She was successful. Just past the 12-minute mark, Robin went for her Bulldog finisher, but Madusa was able to slip her head out, stop Robin's momentum by pulling her backward by the waist and hit a Bridging German Suplex for the pinfall. Madusa wins the WWF Women's Championship in a solid, back and forth match.

After the match, Madusa helped Robin back to her feet and extended her hand. Robin accepted the handshake to a nice ovation from the crowd, sending a disgusted Zbyszko to the locker room. As Robin was leaving the ring, she was attacked in the aisle by Bull Nakano and The Ripper.

Madusa rushed to Robin's aid, and the four women brawled to the back and out of the view of the cameras.

It's almost time for our main event, but first, Gene Okerlund is in a dressing room backstage with Randy Savage and his Kingdom.

Okerlund: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with World Wrestling Federation Champion "Macho King" Randy Savage and his Kingdom, and, Macho King, what are your thoughts on Ric Flair's assertion that he is indeed on your radar, and that you're basically dodging him?

Savage draws back his fist like he's going to punch Okerlund, but "Mean" Gene doesn't flinch and Savage turns to the camera instead.

Savage: Ric Flair, you almost got Okerlund CLOCKED just now, yeah. PUTTIN' YOUR STUPID WORDS IN HIS MOUTH, yeah. THE MACHO KING'S NOT DODGING ANYONE! Don't you know, Ric Flair, that the Macho King is always three steps ahead of peasants like you?! Yes, I am. And sometimes a King's gotta prove a point, yeah. And that's what I did two weeks ago, I proved a point, by sending Vader and Rude down to the ring after your match. I proved, that when you mess with the King, his entire court is ready, willin' and able to make you rue the day, yeah. AND RUE YOU WILL, RIC FLAIR! You will rue the day, that you put my name on your lips, yeah!

Okerlund: I hesitate to ask, Macho King, but did you see Ric Flair arrive at the arena earlier tonight? With your ex Elizabeth in tow?

Savage: Oooh yeah, I saw it, Okerlund. And it doesn't surprise me, yeah. IT DOESN'T SURPRISE ME TO SEE ELIZABETH SLUMMIN' IT UP! Considerin' who she's with, yeah. Cause when she was rollin' with the Macho King, you'd never catch her walking on a cheap shag rug. YOU'D NEVER SEE HER IN A CLOWN CAR, LIKE THAT JALOPY FLAIR WAS IN TONIGHT, YEAH!

Okerlund: Are you nuts, Savage? That was no jalopy, it was a very nice limousine.

Savage: THAT WAS NOTHIN' TO THE MACHO KING, YEAH, AND NOTHIN' TO ELIZABETH WHEN SHE WAS ON MY ARM! Oh, how the mighty have fallen, OOOOOOH YEAH!

Savage abruptly walks off at this point, with Vader, Rude, Sherri close on his tail.

Okerlund: Hey, I've got more questions, we're not do..

Vader turned back and screamed violently at Okerlund.

Vader: YOU'RE DONE!

Okerlund may not have flinched when Savage drew his fist back at him earlier in the interview, but he nearly jumped out of his shoes at Vader's interjection before meekly sending us back to the booth for the main event.

Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. The Dragon and Bam Bam Bigelow

Hulk Hogan had been waiting months to get his hands on The Dragon again, and SNME: Vengeance seemed like the perfect opportunity. Sure it was just a tag team match, so The Dragon could probably escape any long-term beatings Hogan might attempt, but most, including Hogan himself, assumed he'd at least get a taste of The Dragon. Odds were looking pretty good too when The Dragon appeared set to start the match for his team. Upon seeing Hogan was going to start for his team though, The Dragon waited until the bell rang and quickly tagged in Bigelow. This theme continued throughout the match, with The Dragon only willing to tag in when Piper was in the ring, or when Bigelow had an advantage over Hogan. A few quick chops or kicks to Hogan though and The Dragon would tag Bigelow right back in. Late in the match, with Bigelow really struggling with Hogan, he managed to rake Hogan's eyes and stumble towards his corner for the tag. The Dragon refused though, leaving Bigelow to the wolves as he waved the match off and made a beeline for the dressing room. It wasn't long after that when Bigelow succumbed to the Sleeper Hold from Roddy Piper, ending the match in favor of the good guys at 17:37.

Hogan and Piper celebrate their victory, with Hogan displaying a miraculously apt sign that he took from a fan at ringside. A sign that read simply, "The Dragon is a COWARD!!"

Post-show notes:

- The 0.73 PPV buy rate is my best of the save, besting Summerslam's 0.68.

- The 96 show rating ties Wrestlemania VII as my 2nd best of the save.

- The 98 grade for the Terry Funk vs. Texas Tornado 2 out of 3 falls match is now my 2nd best match grade of the save, barely beating the 98 of Vader vs. Jake Roberts from Summerslam.

- The Hogan/Piper vs. Dragon/Bigelow tag match rating of 97 is now my 5th best of the save, falling just short of the 97 that Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect scored at SNME: Mayhem in May.

- I was very disappointed with the Michaels/Jannetty Cage Match rating. I wasn't expecting an A* rating or anything, but I did think it would score in the mid-80s or so. There were no negative chemistry or dirt sheet notes, neither man was off his game, and the storyline heat was 97. I guess their pop just wasn't high enough, although Michaels is a Main Eventer and Jannetty is an Upper Midcarder. Eh, win some, lose some, and this was just a "stepping stone" for Michaels anyway. Please see the "The Next Day" section below for an update on Jannetty's future.

- Nikita Koloff and Sgt. Slaughter don't click, which made their match awkward.

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan welcome everyone to the show, recap Saturday Night's Main Event: Vengeance, and announce the night's main event, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper taking on Brian Pillman.

They then send us backstage to "Mean" Gene Okerlund, who's standing by with Hulk Hogan.

Okerlund: Thank you, Gorilla! And yes I am standing by with Hulk Hogan, and, Hulkster, what do you make of The Dragon abandoning his partner Bam Bam Bigelow on Saturday Night's Main Event?

Hogan: WELL, YA KNOW SOMETHIN', "MEAN" GENE??!! EVERYBODY KNOWS, that The Dragon is one of those dudes, that does all the things he's accusin' you of doin' himself, brother. He accuses you of cheatin', but it's him that's doin' it. He accuses you of being a coward, but everybody saw at Saturday Night's Main Event, dude, that The Dragon is the coward. It's just a shame that Bam Bam Bigelow didn't see it sooner. You chose to team up with someone who only cares about himself, Bam Bam, and you paid the price at the hands of the Hot Rod, and the largest arms in the world, brother! But when it's all said and done at Survivor Series, it'll be you, Dragon, who'll get burned. Because when you go up against me, and all my little Hulkamaniacs, jack, there's nowhere to go but down! And at Survi...

Okerlund stops Hogan there, as The Dragon enters the scene, his left leg in an almost comical-looking cast. Hogan lets out a huge sigh of annoyance as The Dragon begins to speak.

The Dragon: You may be surprised to see me here, Hogan. But unlike you, I face my problems head-on. And even though, I know you'd love nothing more than to attack me right now, I know even you, wouldn't stoop so low as to attack a defenseless man in a cast. N..

Furious, Hogan cuts The Dragon off right there.

Hogan: Don't be so sure, Steamboat!

The Dragon: You can call me all the names you want, but you're not gonna taunt me into a fight, Hogan. Unlike you, I can control my temper. But before you fly off the handle, I'll just say what I came here to say. We're not gonna be wrestling at Survivor Series. It's off! My doctors say I need at least a few months off this leg before I can get back in the ring. That's why I had to forfeit the tag match at Vengeance and leave early. And Bam Bam knows, that unlike you, Hogan, I would never abandon my friends.

Hogan had heard enough at this point, leveling The Dragon with a big right hand, as WWF officials come in to stop things before they escalated further.

Commissioner Graham is in the ring after a commercial, and he shocks everyone when he announces an Intercontinental Championship match to take place right now. Graham says he's honoring the wishes of Sgt. Slaughter, who didn't want to spend weeks hearing Koloff complain about a rematch.

- "With federal authorities breathing down his neck, Vince McMahon has reportedly instituted a tougher drug policy in the World Wrestling Federation. The scandal that won't go away continues to damage the WWF both financially and in terms of their national perception. Wrestlers throughout the USA are feeling the effects as well as the steroid scandal deals damage to the industry at large."

That was the top news story of the day for November 1st. I knew it was coming sometime in 1991, I just didn't know when. The results:

1.) My company prestige dropped from 93 to 83.
2.) I suffered "financial damage" to the tune of approximately $4,000,000
3.) The American wrestling industry "crashed" and is now at 14 and falling.
4.) Even though I didn't have to, I raised my drug testing from low level to medium level since the narrative says that's what happened. Medium level still just tests a "small random selection" of workers, but the tests are more accurate and will catch even small amounts of drugs in a person's system. This could lead to some very interesting results and situations!

Graham finishes by saying he'll be announcing more Survivor Series matches throughout the night, including the main event. Monsoon ends the segment by sending us to the ring, where the previously mentioned Paul Orndorff is ready for action.

Commissioner Graham interrupts and says he's glad Michaels said that, since he'll be captaining a team at Survivor Series against a team led by Roddy Piper. It will be Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman, Rick Martel and Buddy Landel versus Roddy Piper, The Rock n Roll Express, and WWF Television Champion, Michael Hayes.

Back from commercial break, and it's time for Commissioner Graham to announce the Survivor Series main event. He gets straight to the point, in a simple, one-sentence announcement.

Graham: The Survivor Series main event will pit World Wrestling Federation Champion, Randy Savage, and his Kingdom, against the team of "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Owen, and Bret Hart, in a 4 on 4 Elimination Match.

It's time for the main event, as The Dragon takes on his former ally, Bam Bam Bigelow after The Dragon abandoned him at SNME: Vengeance. The Dragon rolls out in a wheelchair with his leg still in a cast and asks for a mic. Bigelow exits the ring to attack, but The Dragon starts begging for forgiveness. When that's obviously not working, The Dragon gets mad and has the nerve to accuse Bigelow of turning his back on him. That was the final straw as Bigelow charged at The Dragon. The Dragon quickly hopped up out of the wheelchair though and used the cast to kick Bigelow below the belt. He then ripped the cast off and began to whack Bigelow in the legs with it, as WWF officials intervened, eventually managing to get The Dragon and a worse for wear Bigelow in the ring to start their match.

Bigelow could never really get going in this one, as he'd apparently suffered a leg injury during the pre-match, cast beating. This was of course The Dragon's intention, so he focused all his offense on the legs, eventually taking the big man down for good by submission with a Figure Four Leglock at 9:40.

In a familiar post-match scene, The Dragon closed Bigelow's leg up in a steel chair and was prepared to break it with a flying stomp from the middle turnbuckle.

"Real American" suddenly blasted through the arena sound system though, as Hulk Hogan rushed to the ring to make the save. Prime Time goes off the air with Hogan checking on Bigelow, as an annoyed, but mostly satisfied Dragon looks on from the aisle.

- I canceled my tv and event broadcast deals with WOWOW, a network with "tiny" coverage in Japan, and signed with NHK, a network with "big" coverage in Japan.

Warrior downed him again with a flurry of Running Shoulderblocks and connected with a second Running Splash, but The Undertaker kicked out at the last second. He didn't sit up this time though, allowing Warrior to hit yet another Running Splash. The Undertaker kicked out of the third Running Splash too, but not until a split second after the three had been counted at 22:38. Following orders from Kevin Sullivan, Smash and Hercules carried a limp Warrior to the casket at ringside, placed him inside, and locked it. Undertaker and Sullivan joined them, and Bearer, at ringside and they started rolling the casket out of the arena. Luckily for Warrior, Crush and The British Bulldog came running back out with steel chairs and cleared The Army of Darkness from the scene. WWF officials then joined in with Crush and Bulldog in prying the casket open. This prompted The Hulkster to actually run to the ring, where he went nuts on The Dragon to start this one. As Referee Danny Davis tried to force Hogan back in the ring to officially start the match, The Dragon used the opportunity to attack Hogan's leg he'd injured back in the summer. The Dragon works over the leg for a while before Hogan makes a comeback, finishing a furious spurt of offense by Back Body Dropping The Dragon over the top rope to the arena floor. The match settles into some nice back and forth action once Hogan puts Dragon back in the ring, with neither man on top for too long. There was even a nice little chain wrestling sequence, with Hogan showing off what he could do in a match if he preferred to wrestle more technically. At one point towards the end of the sequence, The Dragon actually seemed impressed by Hogan's technical prowess, as he could clearly be seen mouthing the word "wow." But that respect would be short-lived, as just a few minutes later The Dragon would go into his tights for the same foreign object he'd used to beat Hogan at Summerslam. He wouldn't get away with using it this time though, since Hogan knocked it out of his hand when he took a swing with it. When the referee went to pick it up and throw it outside though, The Dragon quickly pulled a second one out of his tights and decked Hogan with it instead. The referee didn't see this of course, and The Dragon went for the cover. Hogan kicks out and starts to "Hulk Up," no-selling all of The Dragon's attacks before connecting with 3 big right hands, a Big Boot, and finally The Big Leg Drop. Miraculously though, The Dragon kicks out. Stunned, Hogan starts arguing with Referee Danny Davis. The argument is getting pretty heated until The Dragon gets back up and attacks from behind, knocking Hogan into Davis, sending the ref through the ropes to the floor. The Dragon pulls the foreign object back out of tights and decks Hogan again, this time locking in a Figure 4 instead of going for the pin. Hogan is out like a light, but unfortunately for The Dragon, so is Davis. The Dragon eventually releases the hold, goes out and slaps Davis around a bit, and rolls him back into the ring before reapplying the Figure 4. Davis finally comes to enough to check on Hogan, slowly dragging himself up and over to The Hulkster. Initially, he gets no response, but just as he's about to call for the bell, awarding the match to The Dragon by "submission" just like at Summerslam, Hogan begins to come to life. The Dragon is furious, cinching the hold in tighter as he reaches for the ropes for extra leverage. Davis puts an end to that, kicking The Dragon's hand away just as he gets a finger on the bottom rope. The Dragon sat up to scream at Davis, not realizing he was now within striking distance of Hogan, who connected with several hard, right hands to punch his way out of the Figure 4. The match goes back and forth a little more, with The Dragon eventually taking the advantage and climbing to the top rope. He waits on Hogan to stand and goes for the Flying Crossbody. Hogan catches him though and hits a Body Slam to a thunderous pop. Hogan then hits the ropes and connects with another Big Leg Drop. The Dragon wouldn't kick out this time. But he did manage to get a foot on the rope at the last second! Hogan is livid again, getting into another shouting match with Referee Danny Davis, eventually shoving Davis so hard he does a 180. The moment Davis' back was turned The Dragon sprang up, well as much as he could "spring up" by this point in a long match, and connected with a low blow. Hogan, doing his best Hulk Hogan impersonation, no-sells the low blow. The Dragon begs off, pleading with Hogan to "forgive him." Hogan of course wasn't having it, sending Dragon into the ropes for another Big Boot and finally putting an end to the match with a third Big Leg Drop at 20:08. <img alt="deksxoY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/deksxoY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> <hr> The crowd is going wild as Hogan celebrates in the ring, eventually rolling The Dragon under the bottom rope with his foot to a big pop. But if it could be done, this match certainly had the star power to do it. But not just star power though. You would be hard-pressed to find a match anywhere in wrestling history with this much combined wrestling talent in one ring. However, the story of this match wouldn't come down to the wrestling! The Eliminations: - Jake Roberts was disqualified at 6:51 for shoving down Referee Earl Hebner, who was trying to stop Roberts from throwing Lucifer on Vader. **This left Savage, Vader, Rude & Zbyszko vs. Flair, B. Hart & O. Hart** - Owen Hart fought valiantly in his attempt to avenge the injury to Jim Neidhart caused by Vader and Rick Rude. Ultimately though, he was eliminated in fairly short order when Vader showed off his impressive aerial ability, hitting a Moonsault for the three at 9:24. **This left Savage, Vader, Rude & Zbyszko vs. Flair & B. Hart** - Larry Zbyszko was eliminated by submission following an entertaining back and forth sequence with Bret Hart, which ended when Hart managed to stand up out of a Larryland Dreamer(Guillotine Choke) and lock in a Sharpshooter at 15:15. **This left Savage, Vader & Rude vs. Flair & B. Hart** - Bret Hart had better luck in his revenge attempts than his brother Owen did, having his way with Rick Rude for a pretty good bit after he'd eliminated Zbyszko. That all changed when Vader tagged in though, as he ran roughshod over the Hitman, eliminating him with a Vader Bomb after a distraction by Sensational Sherri at 20:59. **This left Savage, Vader & Rude vs. Flair** - Flair enters the ring, prepared to face the dire situation like a man, but Vader doesn't attack. Instead, he simply backs away from the Nature Boy, exits the ring, and slowly begins walking toward the locker rooms. Savage is livid as he runs down Vader in the aisle, practically foaming at the mouth as he screams in his face for answers. And he gets his answer when he's attacked from behind by Rude! And Flair! It was a setup and with Vader joining in, the 3 on 1 beatdown was on. Realizing what was going on, Referee Earl Hebner calls for the bell, declaring the match a no contest at 22:12. <img alt="HzvWOJO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HzvWOJO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> <hr> A clearly confused and frightened Elizabeth sees all this playing out and tries to run away. Although Elizabeth was unsuccessful in running away, a just as confused Sensational Sherri had the same idea and was able to escape. After dropping Savage chest first on top of the ringside barricade, Rude and Flair toss him back in the ring and tie him up in the ring ropes. Flair asks for and receives a mic, Flair: SAAVVAAGGE! I TRIED to do this, THE EASY WAY! BUT YOU WOULDN'T LISTEN! This is your LAST SHOT! I WANT A MATCH FOR THE WWF TITLE, OR ELSE! Bloodied, beaten, and at the mercy of a clearly unhinged Flair, Savage still adamantly refuses. Flair: Then you've left me NO CHOICE! Flair motions towards the back and Larry Zbyszko comes back to the ring. Zybszko grabs Elizabeth away from Vader and shoves her down on her back, stretching her arms out and holding them down. As Elizabeth tries to struggle free, Rude does the same to her legs. Flair nods to Vader as a panicked Savage realizes what's going on. It was the Vader/Damien situation all over again! Vader runs off the ropes, ready to hit a splash on Elizabeth, but Flair stops him as Savage starts screaming again, Flair: What's that, Savage? I didn't quite catch that! Flair sticks the mic up to Savage's face, Savage: YES! YOU'VE GOT YOUR MATCH! Smugly satisfied with himself, Flair orders his men to release Elizabeth. I honestly completely forgot about me picking Norton to eventually win the IC title, but man, I popped! I am so damn pumped you decided to continue this. One of my favorite diaries of all time. Survivor Series was stellar all around.
