Hello and welcome to this special edition of the Behind The Curtain Podcast with me, Jo-Ro. Major news in the wrestling world kicked off the new decade with the announcement of three new bookers taking charge of the three biggest companies in North America one of whom being Alicia Strong who is now running the show at USPW. So with Strong running the show, like her father in years in previous, and USPW hosting the only women's division of the big three, I decided that we should do a weekly recap of the ongoings at USPW's American Wrestling. Let's dive into the first episode of Strongs tenure in charge.

HLSJnbk.jpg

The first episode of American Wrestling of the new decade came from The Dust Bowl in Tennessee. A famous USPW hotbed. The show apparently drew 13,439 fans with early estimations suggesting that the show was watched by about 10.5million subscribers on Reverie!.

Segment 1:

The show opened with Rich Money and The Business occupying the ring and Rich cutting a promo gloating about his title defence at Made In America! Running Wolf interrupts, demanded another shot and they decided to do a 3v3 in the main event with Wolf needing to find partners.

A fine start to the show. Rich is money (pun intended) on the mic and Wolf is improving with the more time he gets. The rest of the group were just there but that's been the case for the past 12 months with The Business.

(69)

Segment 2:

Roger Cage vs Funky Fedora

The opening match of the night went a shade over 11 minutes and was a below-average TV match. The match went too long and if it had been a few minutes shorter it probably would have been better received. Fedora has a bright future in the business but it's easy to forget that he's only 21. Eventually, his ring work will match his natural charisma and he'll come close to a total package. This was a good showcase match and Cage got the win without any shenanigans.

(53)

Segment 3:

Cage celebrates when Zeus, Bash Street and Valhalla (The Olympus Order) appeared with the post-match beatdown. It was your average post-match affair with Cage limping out of the ring on a hobbled knee.

(50)

Segment 4:

The Muscle Monsters vs The Bombshells

A lot of young and inexperienced talent on display here from the Women's Division but it's great that the company aren't scared to give them screen time to allow them to improve. It's just a pity the match didn't stick with the crowd. Glorious Gloria & Juliette King picked up the win in just under 7 minutes to keep Strong's menacing back-up looking suitably menacing.

(28)

Segment 5:

We then jump backstage to Trent Schaffer and Raven Robinson cutting a promo together in the aftermath of Schaffer's sneaky victory over Bulldozer Brandon Smith at the PPV. Raven did more of the talking here and swore to top the Women's Division again soon. These two are excellent together and both prop each other up nicely to keep each other relevant which can only be a good thing in a company as populated as USPW.

(70)

Segment 6:

Cooper Christie vs Lawrence Gumble

Gumble was former TCW graduate and current Independent talent Quinten Queen with a silly name... if you can get sillier than Quinten Queen, no offence Quinten. The Texas Express has been making slow gains over the past 20 months in USPW but they've been looking more sure of themselves in recent times and I'm guessing a bigger push is coming. Christie, with Trenneman at ringside, crumpled Gumble in three minutes in a typically underwhelming squash but he looked impressive throughout

(23)

Segment 7:

Then we moved onto our second post-match beatdown of the evening as The Cold Warriors, Karloff & Novak, arrived ringside, blindsided Trennenman and put the boots to Christie. The babyfaces attempted to fight off the evil Russians but the damage had been done.

Nothing special here to report and I would assume this is the match-up for the upcoming Pay Per View of the old guard and the hot new team.

(53)

Segment 8:

Then the cameras cut backstage where we saw Running Wolf roaming the area and stopping when he found Natural Storm. Of course Rayne and Howard agreed to be numbers 2 & 3 in the main event because they're good guys and want to put a hurt on bad guys. The segment was good and Natural Storm are just effortlessly cool and they'll be sure to hold up more than their share of the work in what could end up a plodding main event.

(75)

Segment 9:

The segment then hyped up the next video package which was a sort of recap and hype video for Pariah who is currently one of the hottest things in the company let alone the Women's Division. It still seems completely surreal that this former FBI agent who outed herself after the infamous 'Operation Lullaby' has in a year become one of the biggest names in American wrestling and it started as a 'nudge nudge wink wink' situation for USPW laughing at SWF.

The package was nicely produced and it was interrupted by Jillian Jarvis vowing to cut short Pariah's swift rise through the division. Short and to the point which suits Jarvis perfectly.

(62)

Segment 10:

Wendy Anderson vs 'The Iron Lady' Jillian Jarvis

Immediately following that short promo was a Jillian Jarvis match as a means to show how tough she'll be for Pariah to overcome. This match was given a little under 7 minutes and although Wendy got her share of offence in the outcome was never in doubt, especially given the previous segment. A solid enough match from two of the Women's Division workhorses.

(55)

Segment 11:

Greg Black vs 'The Complete Package' Joss Thompson

Probably the best match of the night from an actual in-ring standpoint. there's no doubt that these two know how to work and put on a good show. Both are pushing their late 40's but it would seem they are at different stages of their career as Thompson is still a hot topic in the company has still got some shine to his apple from his World Title reign. They were given 14 minutes and put on a good match with Thompson hitting his Clean Cutter finish for the win.

(71)

Segment 12:

Thompson then grabbed a microphone and heavily put himself over in his classically arrogant manner which always draws heat from the audience and keeps him in good stead as one of the best heels in the company. His promo was then interrupted by a cryptic video on the titantron which ended with an instantly recognisable green mask and the word 'Soon' flashing up on the screen hinting at the return of Enygma.

This would certainly excite a lot of the younger audience members but for the older fans, they might be a bit less thrilled. He's a former two-time World Champion but Enygma has always been an 'interesting' case who hasn't necessarily lived up to the expected potential of him in the eyes of some fans. Let's see what develops. A good segment nonetheless.

(76)

Segment 13:

'The Dark Destroyer' Steve Frehley vs Jimmy Chipolata

The outcome of this was never in question and Frehley continued to look absolutely unstoppable as he decimated JC in 4 minutes. Nothing to report. Frehley looked monstrous in an entertaining squash.

(51)

Segment 14:

Another post-match promo for the evening as Frehley recapped his big 'moments' of late including shelving Nicky Champion indefinitely and defeating Rick Law a few nights ago on Pay Per View. There's cash to be made in a feud between Money and Frehley and that's what was being hinted towards here, even if it's a 'heel vs heel' affair but before any more could be said our friendly neighbourhood law enforcement appeared in Rick Law and he talked about being cheated out of victory at the PPV against Frehley and how he wants a rematch. The Destroyer ignored his pleas and exited through the crowd so as to avoid the babyface. The crowd hate Frehley, they love Law and are still hot for this feud. There are legs left in it yet and it was the best angle of the night.

(81)

Segment 15:

Running Wolf & Natural Storm vs Rich Money, Dusty Ducount and Charlie Thatcher (The Business)

The main event was a reasonable TV main event but it certainly wasn't anything that would get everyone excited except for the USPW die-hards. Obviously, the big feud here is Wolf vs Money so these two were kept apart for most of the match. Any interactions Wolf had were as the victim of hellish tactics from the two big brutes in The Business. The in-ring action wasn't spectacular but the entertainment was fine and, perhaps surprisingly, the babyfaces got the clean win after Natural Storm fired up the crowd with the hot tag and Howard pinned Thatcher.

(71)

Segment 16:

Of course, the show can't finish with a clean babyface win as this is entertainment and storytelling. Sterling Whitlock who had remained quiet at ringside throughout the match finally got involved as the faces celebrated. With Natural Storm on either turnbuckle, this left Wolf standing in the centre exposed and Whitlock snuck in and low-blowed the young contender while Money swiftly followed up with a shot to the head using his title belt. It was very well executed and draw some great heat from the crowd to close the show and be sure to get them to tune in next week to see Money get his comeuppance.

(80)

A decent but unspectacular start to the year. It was classic USPW TV and it's slowly building the stories to the next PPV in 3 weeks but a company of this size needs to keep their stories 'hot' and engaging and it wasn't quite cutting it this week though there were some great elements to it. I'm sure there'll be teething problems in the beginning with a new booker but overall it'll be the same consistent USPW content we've come to expect. We'll give it a 66 and see what happens next week.

Til next time friends, I'm Jo-Ro.

SWF Uprising Results [Fri. Wk. 1, Jan 2020]

Gf1mgKs.jpg

From the diary of Samantha W. Fitzworthy

I was kept again by Mr. Eisen to take notes as we watched SWF Uprising, the new exclusively online show that his sons debuted this week, streaming live and available on demand, only on NetStream. He said that might end up being a good move to capitalize on “this new online streaming thingy” and for a moment, I had to question if he’s heard of Reverie and USPW or whether he’s simply in denial. Anyway, I digress. The show was held in Virginia, VA at the Virginia Park Fields and once again, it was a sell out with all 10.000 tickets going out and no need to paper any of them in order to fill empty seats and look good on camera. 3,728,712 viewers tuned in to watch the show’s debut live, 1.5 million more than Supreme TV did on Tuesday but a comparable number once you factor in the Internet’s global reach, as opposed to C.A.N.N.’s coverage of North America alone.

qD6llvF.jpg

The show began with an appearance from Rocky Golden, this time in the flesh. Having him on top of the show and in person ensured a good pop and a hot start to the show according to Mr. Eisen but it’s what happened next that was interesting. Once the crowd settled down, Rocky began cutting a promo but his mic died out. What at first seemed like a technical issue proved to be something else, as the replacement mic also got cut out and before the champion could wonder what is going on, the lights went red and crimson liquid fell down from the heavens, covering him from top to bottom. Rocky looked dazed and confused, while the commentary team, this time comprised of Mr. Eisen’s two sons and Franklin Fumier, pointed out that clearly this had been orchestrated by Scythe, who was playing mind games. The segment was rated a 70, which I should point out is an entire grade up from what Mr. Eisen gave to Rocky’s promo on Tuesday.

pM9mouj.jpg25UZG0h.pngJUA0R6M.jpg

First match of the night after the ring had been cleaned up was “The Sensational” Steven Parker against “The African Assassin” Makutsi. As if punitive booking after a DIU arrest wasn’t hurting him enough, Makutsi has obviously been in some sort of funk since and he struggled hard in this match, where he had the simple job of making his opponent look good. Not that Parker doesn’t have the skills (or looks) to do that on his own, but it would look even better if Makutsi sold properly or if he’d presented some sort of obstacle for him to overcome. Thankfully, this lasted just under eight minutes and Parker of course got the win after hitting his Future Shock finisher, grabbing a decent 60 from Mr. Eisen.

12RJue4.jpgwifnrLi.jpg

Up next was a pre taped message from two of Matty Faith’s newest signings, Cali Slick and Fro Sure. The two former GSW stars introduced themselves and tapped into their West Coast hip hop background to get their respective gimmicks across, but as Mr. Eisen pointed out before giving them a mere 26 for their effort, it will take a lot of work in building them up before they can be presented properly. Personally, I think they are in huge risk of getting lost in the shuffle of SWF’s huge roster, but if treated right, they might just turn out to be two bright young stars for the future.

z0va49v.jpg25UZG0h.png1DWauMw.jpg

Match number two was Bear Bekowski versus “Platinum” James Prudence. Pretty standard stuff if you ask me, young hungry big bruiser against the calm and collected veteran. I should point out that this role really suits Jimmy P’s suave gimmick and he played it to a tee, while Bekowski did not shy away from using his signature Bear Hug submission. Something Mr. Eisen noted, both matches so far seemed to be called in the ring, a stark departure from SWF’s status quo of strictly scripted matches and although he deemed it to be too risky, as a simple viewer I enjoyed the outcome compared to the stiffer, less organic feel that SWF matches used to have in the past. Another eight minute contest, with Prudence tapping out to the Bear Trap and a 60 grade from Mr. Eisen.

LsNPSwr.jpgSVidnhr.jpgkFrQtdk.jpg

Ana Garcia interviewed Lenny Brown next, looking to get his comments on what Des Davids had to say on Tuesday. Lenny’s a better talker than he is a wrestler, but sadly he wasn’t given a chance to speak as the North American champion charged in from outside the frame and attacked him, the two locked up in a brawl as Garcia ran away. Mr. Eisen said this wasn’t a bad way to hype up their upcoming PPV title match, but it might have worked better if Brown at least had a moment to say a few words before he got jumped, giving it a 69

VO0swHV.jpg25UZG0h.pngyN4oPuK.jpg

Jungle Lord had a match next against the debuting SUKI, another one of Matty Faith’s recent signings and arguably the more mysterious of the lot. None of us have any idea where they found this guy, but he hits hard and he looks like a nasty one, so if he can also go on the mic he might be going places. I know Jungle Lord used to wrestle in Japan though, not sure if these two have fought each other before but they tapped into that stuff for some hard strikes that had many fans cringe at the stiffness. It didn’t do the aging Jungle Lord any favors physically, but he knows how to get a reaction out of his spots and SUKI sure carried the action before falling to the Jungle Jack-Jammer for a 47 from Mr. Eisen.

nq2GDOi.jpg2gUyrYj.jpg

The win was obviously given to Jungle Lord in order to build up some steam before his match with Spencer Spade at When Hell Freezes Over, so while this was still fresh, we went backstage for a promo courtesy of the Supreme Star. Spade praised his scheduled opponent for the win and acknowledged his career, but pointed out how far back in the past all that was. Spade is not a nobody newcomer from Japan and this isn’t the 1990s; this Thursday he’ll be setting things right to send Jungle Lord back to the jungle, because he is the future of the Supreme Wrestling Federation. A lukewarm 66 from Mr. Eisen, who didn’t seem that thrilled, calling the promo “basic” and commenting that it “went nowhere”.

A9QIsHm.jpgFHUEpiU.jpg

25UZG0h.png

1xdP8o4.jpgWDpvDHD.jpgZMWSLM5.jpg

Oh look, a tag team match! And it’s not one involving either of the teams scheduled to wrestle for the tag titles at the PPV, you’d think SWF has some sort of proper tag division. Anyway, Faith booked himself in a match alongside Masked Patriot, a team they call “Faith & Old Glory” to face The Awesomeness. Ego did not get the best of him, as he also booked the heels to go over and watching the match, it was the right call as they are far better inside the ring and getting way stronger reactions from the fans. It almost felt natural when Jefferson Stardust hit the Shock And Awe to pin Faith, but we were later informed that Stardust had bruised his tailbone earlier in the match, so pushing through to wrap it up was even more impressive to me. Didn’t seem to impress Mr. Eisen though, who blamed Faith for the injury and ranked their match a 56.

J3gziSv.jpgUma1ExS.jpgp0O5Ibq.jpg

Duane Fry narrated the video package that followed, in which “The Hawaiian Strongman” Ekuma and “The Flying Hawaiian” James Adams were shown training for their upcoming tag title match. Again, Mr. Eisen said this was a pretty basic hype compilation, but commented it was smart to have Fry do the talking and let Hawaiian Crush do what they do best, which is to look hot and sweaty. Don’t mind if I do, though to his eyes this was merely a 63.

N8a1je6.jpg25UZG0h.pngqm4JcZ6.jpg25UZG0h.png

cMCn9oC.jpg25UZG0h.pngcpAGu2w.jpg

A welcome change of pace from the usual flurry of singles bouts with the occasional tag match thrown in, next up was a fatal four way bout involving Atom Smasher, Joey Morgan, Mainstream Hernandez and Tom Gilmore. All four men are good in both talking and wrestling, but they’ve been recently looking for a big break so although there was no specific storyline reason for this match to happen, it still made sense as a way of determining (showcasing?) which of them will be getting a push in the near future. Proof that throwing in good ingredients does not guarantee a great outcome, the match was a bit of a mess and Tom Gilmore won it after he pinned Hernandez with the Anger Management, a 59 from Mr. Eisen.

1oogrm3.jpgWBnSRhJ.jpg

Apparently the broadcast team of Supreme TV were being used as interviewers for this show, as Emma Chase was backstage with Mikey Lau. Chase asked the question everyone wanted to have answered, is Lau in shape to face Brandon James at the PPV after what Crippler did to him on Tuesday? “The Dragon” put Crippler over as a dangerous and vicious opponent, even if he had no respect for him intentionally trying to cause an injury, then assured his fans he will be in fighting shape by the time he’ll face Brandon. As proof, he would be wrestling next week on Supreme TV, though his opponent wasn’t revealed at this time. Mr. Eisen said this was a great segment to move on the storyline, put people over and hype up future matches, giving it an 85.

1KmmoFR.jpg25UZG0h.pngZJznckl.jpgsjzLjoT.jpg

Again, the final part of the show was vastly above in quality compared to the rest of the episode. Lau’s promo was the turning point and seeing the former teammates Rogue and Valiant face off after that was a sign that we were hitting the good part for real. No surprise this was a great match, both men are over, they know how to work and they’ve got a built-in rivalry due to their shared past before Rogue turned heel. This had the added layer of Rogue costing Valiant the main event match against Remo last week, so the all american blonde was out for revenge while Rogue tried to use this and lure him in to make mistakes. Basic but effective storytelling, executed well with enough doubt for the outcome but eventually the babyface coming out on top to avenge his loss. Only problem here was the match could have done better with more than just ten minutes, but I’m guessing that was intentional to save stuff for a potential PPV faceoff. Still, Mr. Eisen rated it a solid 72

pmHS2Ce.jpg

A short and sweet Scythe video played next, showing “The Dark Reaper” in an eerie setting as he addressed Rocky Golden. Not the type of guy who could talk for hours, he delivered his catchphrase and wrapped things up fast to preserve his menacing aura of mystery. Good thing his gimmick helps avoid long talking segments, a 69 from Mr. Eisen.

qD6llvF.jpgBUCgAQW.jpg25UZG0h.png2tpRL3H.jpgUEdrBy2.jpg

The main event was one of those multi man matches meant to keep various storylines warm but not exactly move any of them forward. Thus, we had Rocky Golden go up against Randall Buckminster Bumfhole in a tag match, in light of them fighting each other at When Hell Freezes Over for the SWF World Heavyweight title. Rocky’s teammate was his opponent’s brother and former tag team partner ZWB, which in turn made their exchanges have some importance, while the quartet was rounded up by Remo, a reliable top heel who could match Rocky’s power, even though he’s scheduled to wrestle in a three way match against Rogue and Valiant at the PPV. Nowhere near as good as the Rogue-Valiant match earlier by the way, fans still seemed to enjoy it and booed the hell out of Bumfhole using the ropes to hold his brother down for the pin, yielding a 59 from an unimpressed Mr. Eisen.

Compared to Supreme TV, the show felt somewhat lackluster as apparently the idea was to cram it full of matches, at the expense of each one’s available time. Again, things are pretty static in terms of storyline progression as we head towards the Pay Per View, but at least some new faces were introduced and others given some screen time, likely the main idea why SWF put on a second weekly show. Final grade was a 61

Looks like somewhat unpredictable booking has been achieved. Things are very much lined up for When Hell Freezes Over, so I'll have more liberty with where I take the stories after the Pay Per View. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read, comment, predict or a combination of all three.

So far I’m proving that I don’t know much about the big feds. I’m probably still thinking 2016 too as far as where everyone is.

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #ffffff; background-color: #333333;"><strong>Total Wrestling Results, wk.2 Jan, 2020</strong></span></p>

<p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/Aal4iB6.jpg" /><br /><span style="color: #ffffff;">by Steven Henry Tyner</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Total Championship Wrestling broadcast their second episode of Total Wrestling for 2020 last night on ACE. They were running the Baltimore Civic Center in Baltimore, Maryland and had <strong>6,566</strong> paying fans in attendance. The early rating is a <strong>3.45</strong> with an estimated 2,592,733 viewers tuning in to see the show. This is up almost a full .4 from last week's show.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/IpWYpdA.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/nsokciI.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/mmWyz8z.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/vbQjRgB.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/vAfdc6I.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">The show started with the debut of The Wild Ones. Findlay O'Farraday and Animal Harker have been carving out good careers for themselves in BCG and The Historian has long been rumored to be a big Findlay O'Farraday fan. These two were the first signings The Historian made and are part of his desire to revamp the tag team division. They were paired with  Jeremie Courtney and Marc Speed for their first match. Courtney and Speed knew what their job was going into this match -- they were on bump detail. Findlay O'Farraday was definitely positioned to be the star of the match as he was able to get a lot of big offense in and even got the win for his team when he pinned Marc Speed after the Atomic Spinebuster in 9:48 of action. A really good opener, I'd give this a<strong> 58</strong>. It got The Wild Ones over and in particular made Findlay look like a force. It was also surprising that the Wild Ones are being positioned as babyfaces. I expect them to be rocketed up to challenge The Behemoths for the tag straps.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/8yy9vsl.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/cOBU7bL.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">We cut backstage where Mighty Meaty is standing by. They issue a very simple babyface challenge for the World Tag Team Titles at Malice in Wonderland. There is something about these two that just feels off as a duo. I get they've been a team for four years and even won the World Tag Titles once before but I just don't like them as a team. Mo screams singles babyface and Tana would be fine paired with someone not Mo. Maybe I'm just a Mo mark. It was a solid promo, unspectacular, but it had good babyface fire and the crowd was into it. <strong>69</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/ONjnPpA.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/mmWyz8z.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/JZfYoY5.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">We go back to the ring for Bart Biggins against The Historian. Clearly The Historian is trying to establish himself with the TCW audience by putting himself on TV. Thankfully, he's not giving himself long matches or inserting himself into any top feuds and TCW has been a place where management has been heavily featured. Tommy Cornell was the owner and top star for a damn decade after all. Bart did a good job as the babyface here and he made The Historian look good. The crowd in Baltimore was a little more receptive to him based off of having seen him in MAW before and there was some chemistry between the two. The Historian hit his Blast from the Past (which I do love) after 8:06 and got the win in a surprisingly entertaining contest. <strong>50</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/Poy9Jtt.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/mmWyz8z.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/k2dGiTQ.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Next up, we had another TCW debut. "The Georgia Bulldog" Riley McManus was making his first appearance on national television in his career against former MAW Champion Roderick Remus. Riley has had a career resurgance in the past few years and has been climbing up the top independent wrestlers board and this was a great opportunity for him. Roderick is a really good wrestler and the two were clearly going out there trying to have the best match of the night. The crowd didn't really know Riley and they weren't super responsive but man, if this match had been held in STanley Hall it would have blown the roof off of it. Roderick hit several running knee strikes to Riley's head and Riley looked out of it, but then exploded up with a big German and locked in the Crossface Chickenwing. Roderick countered it for a near fall and then hit the Brainbuster Suplex for the pinfall victory in 9:32. <strong>52</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/OcDyQF8.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">We went backstage to "The Elevation Sensation" Sammy Bach. Even at 41 years old, Sammy Bach still has the it factor. It's a shame that as good as he is he hasn't been the TCW World Heavyweight Champion before in his career and the window has probably closed on him being it. His promo had all of the rockstar fire, lots of "Baby" and "Daddy" as he hyped up his upcoming singles match with Jay Chord at Malice and Wonderland. A good promo that got the point across and definitely set the stage for what should be a marquee Pay Per View matchup. <strong>75</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/L0QvofJ.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/ghF9T38.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/mmWyz8z.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/1SQ7OJj.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/C8jAYhM.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Coming out of Bach's promo, we went to another match clearly designed to get one team over. We had The Elite taking apart the makeshift team of Elliot Thomas and Danny Fonzarelli. The Elite are a full time time and in a major program and are part of The Syndicate. Eddie and Nate worked well together and man did Elliot Thomas look <em>bad</em>. He just did not look like he was ready to wrestle and he blew several spots. It was bad. Danny; however, looked pretty good and the match was a solid match for what it was. It didn't excite me like Riley and Roderick, but it was a better received match from the audience because of the names involved. Nate Johnson hit the Elitisim in 8:12 and got the win. <strong>62</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/rt9uAOs.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/mmWyz8z.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/8FhSRaQ.jpg" alt="" width="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Up next, Troy Tornado got his wish of competition in the former of T-Bone Bright. This was another wild brawl, it looks like T-Bone is going to be positioned as a wild-eyed brawler in the classic Southern mold of wild brawlers. This was very entertaining. Troy kept trying to leave the match because T-Bone was giving him more than he could handle. It was a good brawl and T-Bone got the win after his Powerslam in 10:19. <strong>62</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/EShyCUs.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/zkLTAYI.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Devine Fortune were backstage talking about The Elite. They think this thing between them has gone on long enough and it is time to end it. Malice in Wonderland, Devine Fortune and The Elite, one last time. If Devine Fortune can't beat The Elite, they will never team together again! <strong>55</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/MDk4GEY.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/YYf7TF8.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">We got a classic contract signing next. Wolf and Ace came to the ring to sign a contract for their match at Malice in Wonderland. They ran each other down and man were they great. These two are clearly the top stars in TCW and they brought it in this segment. You could feel the dislike. Ace hating Wolf because Wolf was handpicked to be the top guy, the protege of the last top guy and carefully presenting. Wolf countered with how Aaron has been given everything. Wolf says they're the same guy, Aaron just smiles more and man did I feel that in my core because they are the same guy.  The top two guys, one a heel one a face and man was this just excellent. There was no physicality here which was refreshing. <strong>94</strong></span></p>

<p>                                     <img src="https://i.imgur.com/VJyytHt.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="45" /></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/jQYwSe8.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/mmWyz8z.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/vItdKlH.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">We come out of the contract signing with the Television Championship match. Human Arensal was given a great opportunity against the young Greg Gauge that has been making the Television Title his calling card. This was a solid technical affair. They exchanged holds and did some good counter wrestling and it was an opportunity for Human Arsenal to show that he can still go and that he could keep up with Greg. It was also a great opportunity for Greg to show just how smooth of a technician he is and man is he smooth. The way Greg transitions from holds into spots reminds me of his father in all of the best ways. Greg locked in that Proton Lock that has been feared for thirty years and got the submission victory in 12:42. <strong>69</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/vItdKlH.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Greg Gauge took the microphone after his win and he accepted Benny Benson's challenge for a Television Title match. They will wrestle next week right here on Total Wrestling! That should be a good match and I fully expect Greg to win it. <strong>59.</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/ACelsUU.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/mmWyz8z.jpg" width="90" height="90" /><img src="https://i.imgur.com/O8YnpRE.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="90" /></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Our main event was up next. A Jay Chord singles match on free tv? Yes please. It was a really good match too. One Man Army isn't the same wrestler as his youth but it's okay, he was able to hold his own against Jay Chord and man how good is Jay Chord? Is there anything he can't do? I don't think so. He just screams World Champion. He won with the Cradle Piledriver in 18:04 and this was a great TV match. <strong>79</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">This was a better show than last week. TCW continues to develop their storylines and are building towards Malice in Wonderland. We know we've got Jay Chord and Sammy Bach, Wolf Hawkins and Aaron andrews, Devine Fortune and The Elite, Mighty Meaty and The Behemoths. It's a good card and we're starting to see the direction The Historian wants to take some people. I fully expect him to continue to build around Wolf, Aaron, Jay, Greg but also add in T-Bone Bright and Mighty Mo. The Wild Ones should feature heavily. I'm very interested in what TCW delivers and, for what it's worth, all of their storylines are hot and they more than pass their minimum requirement, they're definitely not struggling there.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffffff;">Overall, I would give this show a <strong>79</strong>.</span></p>
