crackinthekraken
So I know "Chin" measures how resistant to head strikes a fighter is, but what is the corresponding stat that measures how resistant to body strikes a fighter is? Is it "Conditioning"?
Blackman
I don't know exactly. In reality, some well-conditioned fighters have been stopped by well-timed/placed body blows. I don't think there's a stat that specifically governs that. Feet movement, boy.

Is it "Conditioning"? That's a good question. Wondered about that myself. I can say that I haven't seen many fighters with a high chin rating get dropped by a body shot. I have seen a well conditioned one get stopped by a body kick TKO 19 seconds into the fight.
Adam Ryland
There isn't a stat for that, the quality of the blow is what matters as to whether it drops them or not.

So the quality is governed by the technique, speed, and power stats taken together? Are body kicks considered "high" or "low" kicks?
Adam Ryland
The quality of the blow depends on all the various stats. Body kicks are considered low; high is exclusively for shots to the head.
crackinthekraken
Gotcha, thank you for the clarification. If I may ask a tangential question: the Strength stat. Does it have any effects in striking (like damage calculations, or "hit points"), or does it affect only grappling?
Adam Ryland
It has no effect on striking as that's covered by the power stats associated with punches and kicks.
