World Wonder Ring STARDOM: Supernova

Where's the Maika push?

Hi!

The person who guesses the highest percentage of matches correctly in at least 2/5 of the next PPV cards gets to pick a wrestler to be pushed. Mokoa won the last competition and chose to push Natsupoi!

(Blodyxe, Mokoa & Rateddc only need to predict 1 more of the next 5 cards to qualify as they've already guessed once)/ it just hopefully stops someone guessing 1 card 100% correct, then automatically winning, if you can guess 2 cards 100% correctly, you deserve to win the competition in my book aha

So Maika could win a belt or a shiny Cinderella dress but either way, to copy her catchphrase, her push would be done "Maika Style!" :)

Utami Hayashishita vs KAIRI ©

Match Preview:
KAIRI defends her World of STARDOM title for the 1st time against Utami Hayashishita.

KAIRI comes into this bout undefeated, whilst Utami definitely has a chip on her shoulder, as Utami looks to recapture her 2021 form and step up to the challenge that KAIRI threw at her. As KAIRI keeps getting better and better, alongside Utami’s “amazing form”, hopefully these two can excel in this main event match.

Semi Main:

ZzeA6Lz.gifcJDwIP2.png?181eNaIN.gif

Momo Watanabe vs Suzu Suzuki ©

Match Preview:
Suzu Suzuki defends her Wonder of STARDOM title for the time against Momo Watanabe.

Whilst the fans might have a hard time deciding who to cheer, they won’t have a hard time watching these two elite performers wrestling ability, in what can only be described as a truly eye watering contest. Suzu & Momo have been heavily distracted by separate storylines with Giulia & AZM, so lets hope those two can focus on the white match and not get distracted.

Donna del Mondo (MIRAI & Thekla) vs Donna del Mondo (Himeka & Natsupoi) ©

Match Preview:
Himeka & Natsupoi defend their Goddesses of STARDOM title against MIRAI & Thekla for the second time.

Thekla will relish the opportunity to take away Natsupoi’s belt, as these DDM stable mates face off at Autumn Flame. Natsupoi needs to start listening to her partners and fans encouragement, to not be overwhelmed by the challenge ahead.

vhPNrJl.jpg

Match 4:

Ok797xM.gifcJDwIP2.png?1p01MiDV.gif

Hazuki vs Natsuko Tora

Match Preview:
Hazuki squares off with Oedo Tai’s returning leader Natsuko Tora in this special singles match. Tora is looking to cement her comeback with a splash against the breakout star of STARS Hazuki! They have been questioning each other’s motives in the build, we’ll see if those motivations change after this encounter.

Donna del Mondo (Giulia, Syuri & Maika) v Queen’s Quest (AZM, Saya Kamitani & Lady C)

Match Preview:
This 6 man tag doesn’t have a story attached to it as such but the tensions between DDM / the classic story of QQ looking to out work each other will be on display.

Oedo Tai (Starlight Kid, Saki Kashima, Fukigen Death & Ruaka) vs STARS (Mayu Iwatani, Koguma, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo)

Ahh the day I stop putting Oedo Tai multi-person matches second on the card will be a wonderful day! Classic foes STARS provide the competition here.

Mai Sakurai vs Waka Tsukiyama vs Hanan ©

Match Preview:
Mai requesting Waka to be inserted into Hanan’s 6th defence of the Future of STARDOM Title is a very western style title build. However with Waka eating losses left and right, will Hanan retain, Mai steal the title or Waka do the unthinkable?!

Pre Show Match:

Miyu Amasaki vs Tam Nakano

Match Preview:
Tam wanting Miyu in Cosmic Angels should lead to a fun pre show match. Curiously not trusting Unagi to assess this rookie is an interesting choice too!

Match Overview:
The 3 women dynamic allowed for near falls a plenty and in turn intrigue throughout.

The finish came as Mai Sakurai went up to the top rope, intending to attack a downed Hanan. Waka enters the ring and pushes Hanan out of the ring to take Mai’s crossbody. Mai reverses Waka’s backslide by rolling through then delivers a huge Big Boot for the win!

Match 2: Oedo Tai (Starlight Kid, Saki Kashima, Fukigen Death & Ruaka) vs STARS (Mayu Iwatani, Koguma, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo)

Pre-Match Promos:

Oedo Tai:
Ruaka and Death fight in the background on who gets to sit in the last chair as Kid & Kashima discuss their role in the new Oedo Tai now Tora is back.

STARS:
Mayu needs each member to show up today as she looks to take momentum of the women that have all chosen to turn their backs on her.

Match Overview:

Ruaka & Momo Kohgo kicked off this contest, before tagging out to the comedy of Death & Koguma and then finally the mismatch of Saki’s speed vs Iida’s power led to a fine start to this contest.

This contest came alive and the crowd was left buzzing after Saki & Iida make duel tags to Mayu & Stalight Kid, who for 3 minutes wrestle flat out to huge reaction. The match does break down with Oedo Tai interference and eventually Starlight Kid is able to pin Kohgo for the win.

Oedo Tai [starlight Kid (63), Saki Kashima (48), Fukigen Death (51) and Ruaka (32)] defeated STARS [Mayu Iwatani (80), Koguma (51), Saya Iida (45) and Momo Kohgo (27)]

Pre-Match Promos:

Donna del Mondo:
Syuri doesn’t want to hear Giulia’s “half arsed” pity after losing her red belt, wants to work together to get some last minute momentum before the 5 STAR.

Queen’s Quest:
AZM formally congratulates Kamitani for winning the high speed belt, she then encourages Lady C to follow their example.

Match Overview:
This back and forth contest build to Syuri faking out Giulia by almost tagging her but then switching paths to tag in Maika. The DDM Trio were able to isolate Lady C though resulting in them picking up the win.

Donna del Mondo [syuri (80), Giulia (56) and Maika (53)] defeated Queen's Quest [AZM (60), Saya Kamitani (63) and Lady C (29)]

Ok797xM.gifcJDwIP2.png?1p01MiDV.gif

Match 4: Hazuki vs Natsuko Tora

Pre-Match Promos:

Hazuki:
Hazuki is fed up with being beaten left and right by Oedo Tai. She has been developing a new strategy to ensure victory tonight.

Natsuko Tora:
Tora is looking to lead from the front and elevate Oedo Tai as the leader.

Match Overview:
Natsuko Tora enters second, sporting a Kagetsu style moon painted on the side of her face, red hair and the old Oedo Tai board, to call back to the Hazuki days of Oedo Tai.

During the match Hazuki gets increasingly frustrated with the interference from Oedo Tai, even reversing the Kagetsu style kick to the thigh Tora was attempting to hit her own version of the move.

At the end of this match a water bottle is thrown between both competitors as they both recover from a double down. Hazuki is the first competitor to come to her senses and looks down at the bottle. After a brief pause, she drinks a little before spitting it directly into Tora’s eye (shades of Kagetsu’s mist attacks!) one Michinoku Driver and three numbers later Hazuki wins the match, but Tora is the one smiling.

Hazuki (55) defeated Natsuko Tora (42)
in 15:23 by pinfall with a Michinoku Driver II

Match 5: Goddesses of STARDOM Title Match:

Challengers: Donna del Mondo (MIRAI & Thekla) vs 24th Champions Donna del Mondo (Himeka & Natsupoi) ©

Pre-Match Promos:

Donna del Mondo (MIRAI & Thekla):
Thekla calls on MIRAI to assist in taking away those titles away from HimePoi. Thekla is purely focused on Natsupoi and so warns MIRAI to leave Natsupoi alone.

Donna del Mondo (Himeka & Natsupoi):
Himeka calms the nerves of Natsupoi, who seems out of sorts at the moment. Natsupoi unconvincingly states she is in control and will deliver tonight.

Match Overview:
Thekla & MIRAI jump the champions to kick things off beating them down before Thekla & Himeka brawl to the outside, allowing MIRAI to assume control on top of Natsupoi.

Natsupoi does her best to ignore Thekla’s cries, but she was definitely second guessing herself, resulting in a quick tag out to Himeka.

Later with MIRAI & Natsupoi outside of the ring, MIRAI beats the count at 11, whilst Himeka is cheering on an exhausted Natsupoi. Around the 17 count, Himeka Irish whips Natsupoi back into the ring and blind tags her before MIRAI can take full advantage!

A couple of minutes later Himeka delivers the JP Coaster for the 1,2,3!

Donna del Mondo [Himeka (49) & Natsupoi (56)] defeated Donna del Mondo [MIRAI (42) and Thekla (45)]

Semi Main: Wonder of STARDOM Title Match:

Challenger: Momo Watanabe vs 17th Champion Suzu Suzuki ©

Pre-Match Promos:

Momo Watanabe:
Momo has been assessing Suzu from afar, and whist talented, she isn’t quite white belt worthy, with Momo exposing that fact tonight.

Suzu Suzuki:
Suzu instructs her Prominence stable mates to shut down any interference but also to study her closely.

Match Overview:
After seeing Oedo Tai’s antics throughout the card so far, Prominence attack Oedo Tai as soon as the bell is rung, leaving Momo & Suzu to circle around each other, before first contact.

Suzu receives a brutal kick to the back from Momo, she absorbs then encourages more, receiving praise from the crowd. Momo, envious, sits down after delivering a second kick to give Suzu a free shot. Suzu winds up before flipping Momo over for a close two count.

Finish comes as Prominence have brawled to the back with Oedo Tai, leaving Suzu no excuses when Momo hits the Somato & referee Daichi slaps the mat for the third time.

Momo Watanabe (63) defeated Suzu Suzuki (57)
in 20:51 by pinfall with a Somato.

Main Event: World of STARDOM Title Match:

Challenger: Utami Hayashishita vs 15th Champion KAIRI ©

Pre-Match Promos:

Utami Hayashishita:
Utami acknowledges last year as a phenomenal experience but can’t think of a better way of injecting some life into 2022 than reclaiming the red belt

KAIRI:
KAIRI wants to continue to step up to the best the current STARDOM roster can provide and is very excited to see the power of Hayashishita.

Match Overview:
A really slowly built match drew the crowd in to this clash of generations as both wrestlers stepped up to the plate.

The loud crowd reactions added to the huge occasion as the fight escalated, as KAIRI slips out of Utami hitting her brutal back drop driver, to bounce Utami off the ring post.

The end of the match saw a back and forth striking exchange end with a vicious KAIRI spear. She goes up to the top rope, salutes, and hits her picture-perfect Insane Elbow for the victory.

KAIRI (74) defeated Utami Hayashishita (72)
in 23:46 by pinfall with an Insane Elbow.

Show Notes

- The Future of STARDOM title change may be controversial but I had teased Sakurai’s unhappiness a couple of times + Waka can now be blamed for Hanan losing her title, to try to make her feel guilty.

- Momo taking the white belt goes back to the plans I had originally for her, as the story has tweaked but it should be fun to bring it back on track.

- What a main event rating! The second-best match of the diary so far and the best event score of the save!

vhPNrJl.jpg

Prediction Contest 2nd / 6

Mokoa 6/8 75%

Rateddc 5/8 63 %

Blodyxe 4/8 50%

2nd Overall prediction league so far

Mokoa 11/16 69%

Rateddc 10/16 63 %

Blodyxe 9/16 56%

The two blocks have been revealed above, as 2 blocks of 8 wrestlers compete in a round robin group stage, with the winners of each block facing off to decide who wins the 5 Star Grand Prix! A 15 minute time limit will be applied to every match except the final. Winning a match gains two points for the wrestler, a draw means 1 point each and losing gets 0 points.

WLiAxqB.png?1

A new addition will be a faction league, similar to Formula 1, where wrestlers in each faction have their points added up, to ensure that more matches mean more throughout the tournament. The winning faction will pick a belt to challenge for at the PPV, going down until 4th place, as the faction who finishes last doesn’t win anything.

Any questions or earlier winner predictions, feel free to chuck them below as its always fun to see your feedback! 5 Star league matches will be posted Monday through Thursday next week, then event preview on Friday and PPV on Saturday!

6 days of back to back content, so I hope you enjoy!

Is this how they do it in real life, or is this something you added? Either way, great job. Also, what was the highest rated match ever so far?

Not in real life, but it was always something I thought of as after day 3/4 half the field are just wrestling for pride aha!

Thanks! The main event of Spring Bloom saw Mayu and Syuri go to a 30 minute time limit draw which got a 82, just beating it!

- Mayu has lost every Day 1 5STAR match since 2016, its kind of her thing!

Show Notes

- Only Giulia off game, which is unfortunate, the user point I spent on reducing off nights is helping!

- Not even Utami’s amazing form could help the lack of clicking with Unagi! Downside of booking tour shows month to month is reruns a plenty!

- Every roster needs a Fukigen, fantastic safe pair of hands to allow the stars to shine

vhPNrJl.jpg

yR9SXUb.png?2

Blue Block sees Utami shoots up the rankings as Cosmic Angels continue to languish without any points.

Red Block sees familiar foes AZM & Momo top the block whilst Mayu Iwatani continues her very slow start!

vhPNrJl.jpg

UcZSv9d.png?1

Cosmic Angels still to score their first point, compared to new top of the table Queen's Quest who have surged into the lead!

Iwatani come back in 3, 2, 1... very cool look for brackets indeed.

Iwatani @ Tam looking to clutch up from out of nowhere! Forgot to mention Hazuki cheating to win again against Mayu, so that will be followed up at / post ppv!

Thanks for the brackets comment! Help give that overview really quickly! :)

Show Notes

- Bull Nakano back at it again helping MIRAI, Hanan & Himeka with Psychology,

- Mayu & Mina have pretty good chemistry … pretty good! Giulia & Saya Kamitani great chemistry!

- Hazuki & Syuri also great chemistry, lets go! Hazuki really off game explains the low score

- Unagi was really poor against KAIRI, the audience's palette was well and truly cleansed by Tam & Starlight causing the crowd to buzz with excitement!

vhPNrJl.jpg

7FBdlma.png?1

Blue block is far more interesting with the guess as to who will win, compared to red block where it looks like it will be a AZM vs Momo 2 horse race!

8nfIbPs.png?1

Nothing separating the top two who look set to battle for the last 3 shows to decide who gets first dibs at selecting a title to go after!

Momo climbing the card. Good to see her getting a chance

Tam Nakano still in a slump. Tamiko when?

Giulia, on the other hand, having a little resurgence.

Syuri having a mediocre tourney for someone who was recently the main champion. Same for Hayashishita.

Koguma tying with Mayu and Syuri so far is big for her.

Nice to see Oedo Tai with momentum. This faction was a in the dumps no so long a ago. SLK and Momo carrying the load here with a little contribution by the one who hates cameras.

Definately push the white belt champ strongly as it was one half of the reason I started this diary, to put some respect on her heel turn

Tam Nakano still in a slump. Tamiko when

That's where I'm starting to go, as I had no creative plans for Cosmic Angels at the start of the diary and it's showing

Giulia, on the other hand, having a little resurgence.

Yeah after being messed up by Prominence she seems to be relishing having a Prominence free STARDOM!

Syuri having a mediocre tourney for someone who was recently the main champion. Same for Hayashishita.

I'm awful at pushing people for second world title reigns, as I always just want to move onto the new shiny thing! Syuri will have to wait until the end of the year but Utami needs someone to pick her to be pushed / at the end of this year I'll have to think of something

Koguma tying with Mayu and Syuri so far is big for her.

Yeah I still want to keep trying with Koguma but that patience is honestly wanning month by month!

Nice to see Oedo Tai with momentum. This faction was a in the dumps no so long a ago. SLK and Momo carrying the load here with a little contribution by the one who hates cameras.

Hates cameras?!? aha I must have missed that one! but yeah I think the dark tiger is awesome!

Travelling back from work tomorrow so may put the last tour show / predictions up late tomorrow night, or Friday

Show Notes

- Momo unreal carry of Koguma up to a main event score was awesome!

- Death & Mayu stealing the show even with Death really off her game, makes me think world title contender Death is a realistic prospect! Either that or Mayu is just an absolute icon!

- This 5STAR continues to be useful for finding chemistry as Giulia vs Utami and AZM vs Syuri both show great chemistry!

- KAIRI being really off her game and unhappy to put over Starlight Kid was disappointing from KAIRI but a shock win Starlight gives her the accolade of handing KAIRI her first loss since her return!

vhPNrJl.jpg

ShFWaEF.png?1

Giulia & Starlight are so close that it may come down to which faction finishes with more points, currently SLK!

AZM slips up leaving Momo to take the lead, although they have a mouth watering final day encounter which may decide it all.

uCqlVnb.png?1

You could throw a blanket over the top three! Oedo Tai sneaking ahead by a point!

vhPNrJl.jpg

Show Notes

- KAIRI & MIRAI don’t click … Kamitani really her off game

- Hazuki & Koguma had a nice story telling bout about two best friends drifting apart. Hazuki leaning more and more into the dark side, as Koguma seems lost as she slowly drifts away from the bear pose cheeky side.

- Momo taking a huge scalp in Mayu Iwatani, continuing her perfect undefeated 5 Star streak, the only women stopping her on the last day is, of course because its wrestling, AZM!

vhPNrJl.jpg

bMtpJsS.png?1

3 potential winners of blue block leaves an exciting final day.

As previously mentioned, all eyes will be on that final AZM vs Momo match,

as if Queen's quest win their last 3 matches, they could send AZM into the finals and get first dibs on choosing the belt they would like to win at the ppv!

WUCVLcD.png?1

Tam's late burst of energy still leaves Cosmic Angels way off the pace. The battle for 1st and the battle for 3rd should mean the final day should be fun!
