He gets on the mic and says that the NWA has granted TNA access to another one of its prestige’s this once has a history that dates back all the way to 1937. This belt will signify the best of the best in this division. He pulls out the bag and introduces the NWA Woman’s World Title belt. He says that tonight, starting with the very next match and leading up to No Surrender there will be a tournament to decide the next NWA Woman’s World Champion! Rating: C+ vs. - Tournament Match Jazz vs. Malia Hosaka Malia comes out with her SHIMMER World Title around her waist and before she can even step threw the ropes Jazz is all over her. For several minutes Jazz does not let up on Malia, working her over with a series of Suplex’s and ground moves to incapacitate her. However Malia was able to reverse a Stalling Vertical Suplex into a devastating Reverse Suplex that got her a 2 ¾. A little known fact about Malia is that she defeated Debbie Combs back in 1996 to become the NWA Woman’s World Champion. Malia set Jazz up for her Frankensteiner finisher but had it reversed into a brutal Top Rope Powerbomb! Jazz was able to lock in the STF to get Malia to submit. Winner: Jazz in 7:50 Rating: D - Jeremy Borash is backstage with the TNA X-Division Champion Senshi. Borash says that Senshi requested this time and place the mic in front of him. Senshi says that he is a warrior that cannot be beat. He says that he is the greatest X-Division Champion ever and is going to prove that once again. He says that he is giving somebody from the independents a chance of a lifetime. He says that he has gone out and found one of the best on the indy scene today and brought him to TNA to give him a shot at the X-Title. Skipper could not counter Stallions intensity. Stallion hit Primetime hit vicious chops in the corner that broke blood vessels in his chest. Stallion hit Primetime with a Northern Lights Suplex, Stallion hit Primetime with a Tombstone Piledriver, and Stallion hit Primetime with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. Finally Stallion put Primetime out of his misery and hit him with a Dragon Suplex for the 3! Winner: The Stallion in 5:51 Rating: D - As soon as Stallion and Primetime are out of the ring, Scott Steiner comes charging from the back with a chair in hand screaming about how he keeps getting screwed here in TNA. He gets on the mic and says that everybody else is getting a Title shot but him and he is gonna start breaking skulls until he gets what he wants. He then says he starts right now and cracks Don West over the head with the chair. The sickening thud can be heard throughout the arena and it sends Mike Tenay and Joey Styles scattering. They yell for Steiner to stop but he just grabs the now bleeding West and tosses him into the ring. He locks in the Steiner Recliner as Mike Tenay and Joey Styles scream for help. Suddenly Monty Brown comes running out from the back and Steiner quickly gets out of the ring. However the damage has been done and West is hurt badly. Steiner gets ready to leave as Brown is checking up on West, but the Alpha Male grabs a mic. Rating: C- - “Steiner, you are a coward! You are not welcome on the Serengeti, and its time I take charge and get rid of you like The Alpha Male is suppose to. So at No Surrender, if your balls haven’t shriveled up too much because of all the steroids (ooooooooo from the crowd), step in the ring with The Alpha Male and Get Ready…To Fell… The Pooooouuuucccccceeeah! Rhino was in control, having leveled Taz with a Belly To Belly Suplex. He Irish Whipped him to the corner and went for the early end to the match with a Gore in the corner. Heyman grabbed Taz’s leg and pulled him out before Rhino could hit. Rhino went outside and chased after Heyman but Taz was waiting for him and hit a brutal Overhead Belly To Belly on the outside. Taz was back in control and tossed Rhino back into the ring. Rhino tried to come back with a Yakuza Kick but had it reversed into a Leg Capture Suplex. Taz then went for the Tazplex but Rhino pushed him into the ropes and when Taz came back Rhino was waiting with a Gore! He was able to drape himself over Taz and got the 3. Winner: Rhino in 10:14 Rating: C+ - The Rock hit the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. “Last night, The Rock once again proved why he is The Most Electrifying Man In Wrestling today when that fat excuse for a wrestler got his Candy Ass handed to him on a doughnut filled platter! I had Samoan Fat beat but The Rock decided that he wasn’t done with him yet so he based his head in with a steel chair to the delight of The Millions (And Millions) Of The Rocks Fans All Over The World. But now The Rock is done playing with Samoan Fat, he’s done letting him play with The Rocks World Heavyweight Title belt. He says that at Hard Justice it was Jeff Jarrett that was pinned, not him and he deserves a shot at the Title. Cornette says that’s not going to happen, and not because he would like to save that for a PPV, but because Joe is not medically cleared to wrestle here tonight. Joe looks like he will attack Cornette when he says that he will make an announcement regarding Joe and The Rock tonight so don’t worry, he just needs some time to sort some stuff out. Rating: B Commercial Break - Jeremy Borash is backstage with Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett was quick to attack, not even letting Ron get into the ring before beginning the attack. Jarrett kept control for most of the match, beating on Killings and not giving him much chance for offence. However he is not called the Suntan Superman for nothing and he was able to mount a comeback. A vicious Running Dropkick rocketed Jarrett into the corner. It looks like nothing is settled between these two teams. The ref finally got control back and it was Brother Ray against BG James. The match went on until the biggest surprise of the match came when Team 3D hit the 3D on Chris Harris to eliminate AMW. The James Gang were quick to capitalize on 3D’s momentary distraction. Kipp knocked Brother Devon out of the ring with a Clothesline to the back of the head and BG hit Brother Ray with the Pump Handle Slam (no easy feat no doubt) to get the pin. That left The James Gang and Aries and Strong. GB and Kipp tried to use there obvious strength advantage against the ROH Tag Team Champions, however Aries & Strong were two quick and intense. After a devastating backbreaker to Kipp by Roderick Strong, Aries hit the 450 Splash on BG for the pinfall. He hung with Daniels in every step of the match. In the end it was one mistake that decided the outcome of the match. Daniels went to the top rope and came flying at Jericho with the intent of a Hurricanrana, only to have it reversed into a Walls Of Jericho. Daniels fought to the ropes only for Jericho to pull him back. Daniels refused to tap and fought back to the ropes again. The time Jericho pulled all the way back forcing Daniels to tap! Good News For TNA by TNA Wrestling News Staff Last night TNA’s online only broadcast of Global Impact drew in approximately 300,222 viewers on their servers. While this is not there largest number to date, it does show that there is an interest in the new format. Robert Nigro, Head Booker Of TNA Interview Recap by Ernesto Rayside I had a chance to get in a few words with the Head Booker of TNA yesterday after the House Show in Atlanta and Mr. Nigro had some very interesting things to say. Q. The show was awesome; I’m sure your pleased. Any news on if TNA will be doing more TNA only House shows in the future? A. Actually the plan as of right now is to have at least one every month. We should be releasing preliminary information about the next one in a few days now. Q. You mentioned Brock Lesner in the TNA Conference Call the other day. From what I hear he is still under contract to NJPW. Care to comment on that? A. Just because he is under contract with NJPW does not mean we can’t talk to the guy. It is no secret that we would love to get our hands on Brock and bring him back to the states to wrestle for TNA. However both Brock and us want to honor what he has with NJPW before committing to anything in the future. Q. Does that mean you already have some sort of verbal agreement with Lesner about working for TNA in the future? A. No comment (Laughs) Q. OK what about other potential superstars? Like for instance Hulk Hogan or Steve Austin. A. A few years back before I came to TNA, they had talks with Hogan about coming in to work a match with Jarrett for the Title. At that time TNA was still trying to get a foothold in the wrestling industry and Hogan as trying to get leverage for Vince to give him more money to come back. Now TNA is in a spot where we don’t need Hulk Hogan. While I will forever be grateful for everything that Hogan has done for this industry, his price tag is just too high and he is not worth that anymore. He can’t get in the ring and perform on the level that the TNA stars do every night. He may still be able to hang with those guys up north, but down here is a different story. Steve Austin is in the same boat, as much as I respect him, he is not worth the price tag any longer. Q. Any body you can tell us that you would like to see enter a TNA ring? Anybody from the WWE or from the Indys? A. We are always looking for new or established talent that could fit into the mold of TNA. A lot of people questioned us when we brought in The Rock and Chris Jericho but look at what they have both been doing so far. Jericho is involved with the X-Division and The Rock is putting on stellar matches with all of our top guys. Some people who I think could fit with us… From the WWE I think Chris Beniot and Shelton Benjamin could be perfect fits and from the indys, well there is just so much great talent its hard to pick. Listen I’ve got to run. It’s clear from this conversation that TNA is looking towards the future while not drawing to heavily from the past. In this reporter’s opinion, not trying to get their hands on Hogan or Austin is not only the smart move; it’s the right one. Saturday, Week 3, August

This match should be another good one. Scott Steiner vs. CM Punk – Last week Steiner hurt Don West and now he is looking to do the same to CM Punk. However CM Punk is no helpless announcer and is very talented in the ring. However will that talent be enough to overcome the Genetic Freak Scott Steiner? Will Monty Brown make an appearance? Ron Killings vs. Bobby Roode – Ron Killings is on a roll lately after defeating former NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett not once but twice. Bobby Roode is hungry to move forward in his career and will take Killings apart to do it. Scott D’Amore will be in Roode’s corner, will he get himself involved? Paparazzi Productions vs. Aries & Strong – The number 1 contenders for the NWA World Tag Team Titles will be in action against Kevin Nash’s Paparazzi Productions. How will Aries & String counteract Kevin Nash at ringside? Will the Tag Champs, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels show up? Rhino vs. Taz II – Last week nothing was settled between these two when Rhino won with the Gore. Taz wants a rematch and Rhino has obliged. Chris Jericho vs. Hernandez – Last week LAX attacked Jericho after his match on Impact. Jericho is out for revenge not only for that, but for the attack and cheap victory at Hard Justice by Homicide and LAX. Main Event The Rock vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage vs. Sting – Head of TNA Management Jim Cornette says to let them loose! These four men will bring the arena down around them as they try to tear each other apart. This will not be for the NWA World Title so all bets are off when the 4 biggest entities in TNA go head to head. All this and more on Impact! Sunday, Week 3, August

As for the womans div, I really think TNA could be the place to have a truly competitive womans division, unlike the T&A that is the WWE. Even in real life, once they expand the show to 2 hours (which looks to be coming in October) there is a possibiblity of it happening. When it comes to The Rock and Taz this is my mentality. Rock HAS told Jarrett in the past that he would come work for him if his scheduale permitted it. Vince let him out of his contract without even so much as a phone call so he was a little upset about it. In TEW there is no was to simulate a worker showing up for "just a few shows" so I signed him to a written (both he AND Jericho actually returned to wresting from being on Hiatus at the same time!). Now for Taz, I know its unrealistic for Taz to wrestle full time again, but I wanted to drive home the fact that the REAL ECW is in TNA, not the crap the the big E is putting on (Big Show vs. Batista? Come on now! That even happened in the game!) However Taz will not be out there for very much longer so bear with me.

I don't see the Taz idea as too much of a problem. To me, a large factor in Taz's self-decided retirement was the fact that he was no longer working a style he was comfortable with. Watch him in ECW and then WWE, it's like they mentally reprogrammed him or something because, suddenly, he was half the wrestler he could be. Quote The Raven Nevermore

This way is just a bit easier for me becasue I have always like pointing out the big spots in the matches anyway. This just bullets them. Before you turn away juts give me a couple of shows under my belt and if nobody likes the new style then I will go back to the old way.
