- WWE just remembered they still have a WWE Network, I have not taken it away, so they plan on airing their events on the platform going forward.

- In Wrestle-1, Kenou and Yohei Nakajima have just been paired up as the team Mad Force. They already have extensive tag team experience from their days in Okinawa Pro Wrestling, back when they both wore masks.

- Kazuki Hashimoto has won the Big Japan Deathmatch Heavyweight title in a match against Daichi Hashimoto, however it did not reach Notable Match status.

- Amazing Kong has changed her mind against working in Lucha Underground, and totally no-show their first event of the save! They are currently without a female presence, but that may change.

TITLE MATCH: Kazushi Miyamoto and Ryo Saito vs. MAZADA & Rene Dupree for the GHC Tag Team Titles

The two junior teams actually did a fine job of working against each other for a full ten minutes. Those two tag teams locked up with each other rather really well but the one real highlight was when Saito did a Flyin' Brian style springboard lariat. Kazushi and Ryo ended up winning when Kazushi elevated MAZADA in the air and slammed him back down with a folding powerbomb and into a pinfall win after the pair slowed down Rene with a double enzuigiri outside. They looked great and the action was solid. Pretty good main event though nothing special. Miyamoto and Saito were the GHC Tag champs after their win. Not revealing anything about the plans here but I will say that they seem to be slowly bringing in former Voodoo Murders members to both challenge the champs and join the roster.

Winners and NEW champions: Kazushi Miyamoto and Ryo Saito (rating: 57)

Yoshinobu Kanemaru, T-Hawk and Genki Horiguchi vs. Masao Inoue, Cyber Kong and Manabu Nakanishi

A decent-sized main event with both sides teasing potential alliances early on, so despite being reasonably short this felt like a short and sweet match to move the story along. We got the feeling from Kanemaru that Genki maybe was off his game, as he wasn't putting up any sort of resistance to the match, leaving it all to his new tag partners. Nakanishi demonstrating the advantage of size when he went for an Inverted Dragon Sleeper on T-Hawk and into a nice running splash on both of his partners was worth saving for the finish, and Inoue managed to catch T-Hawk with a low hanging reverse headscissor lock, ending the match. Inoue deserves another win in an important match, something he desperately needs as we head into G1 Climax, and I was surprised to see T-Hawk get submitted cleanly.

Winners: Masao Inoue, Cyber Kong and Manabu Nakanishi (rating: 58)

Deep in the bowels of the Temple, Erik Doom and Chris Sabin nearly got lost on their way to the Office. The randomization process has even changed the Temple itself, like the transformation of Castlevania! When they arrive, another surprise - Eric Bischoff sitting in the chair. They ask him what fate awaits them and he answers:

Gulas_Wrestling_Enterprises.png.76f7abbfd0a92b8fd0e836c8f9368074.png: I do not control that, you do. Tonight, you have a chance against a team who makes a real Impact. Seek the Truth, and don't Submit to the Machine. That will be your golden road.

With that, he rotates his chair back to the camera and when it rotates again, he's gone!!

Prince Devitt, Elijah Burke and SoCal Crazy vs. M.V.P, Eric Young and D'Lo Brown in a 2 out of 3 falls match

Bischoff altered this match to be 2 out of 3 just before the opening bell. In the opening bout, Devitt takes control of M.V.P with a quick pair of elbows followed by a roundhouse kick. He tries to press his advantage but gets drilled with a clubbing blow to the body. Devitt comes to the fore and the crowd eggs him on to go for it, and it looks as though Devitt had the heat to go further. Tag partner Elijah Burke tries to move in, but gets kicked away to boot. M.V.P hits a Playmaker and executes the first fall of the night, making quick work of Prince Devitt. Their next opportunity is Elijah Burke, but Young brings him down to the mat with a clothesline. M.V.P and Young end up teaming up and putting weight on Elijah Burke in the corner while D’Lo Brown and SoCal Crazy work each other on the outside. Burke takes a shot at a tornado DDT but is finally locked in the Figure-Four. Again Burke resists the hold, kicks out and boots Young outside. D’Lo Brown tries a face wash but it’s Burke’s turn for the DDT and he connects cleanly this time. Burke argues with referee Bischoff, (they haven't hired a real ref yet,) leading to a huge two on one attack from M.V.P and Young, but Burke’s a good soldier and moves past them without a problem. At the final bell, Young cleanly pins Burke on the apron after a Showtime Elbow.

Winners: M.V.P, Eric Young and D'Lo Brown (2-0) (rating: 70)

Team Impact (Samoa Joe and Ron "The Truth" Killings) vs. Chris Sabin and Erik Doom

Samoa Joe is looking red, rough and ready to go as he and his partner The Truth make their way to the ring. Taggers Chris Sabin and 'Apoc' Erik Doom set up in the ring, getting ready to defend The Temple from Samoa Joe’s team. Samoa Joe is itching for battle, but The Truth warns him of what’s in store for him. Instantly the two engage in a match filled with punch and kick and grabs (with Joe taking from his shoulders). Samoa is a deadly and perfectly suited killer in hand to hand combat and his patient onslaught soon catches Chris on the turnbuckle. He overcompensates for his mistake and ends up peaking himself straight over to the hard concrete floor. And just like that it’s Joe against Doom. Doom attempts a signature STO, Samoa Joe turns, grabs his legs on the way and drops down for a momentary pinning position. And as Doom starts to fire back at the big weapon, Samoa Joe just counters the comeback attempt and puts him in a nasty arm bar.

Samoa Joe has seemingly had enough and sprints to his corner, looking for a breather. ‘The Truth’ Killings comes in looking to finish off the weakened Doom. But Doom manages to shove Truth down then, with a cocky grin on his face, nastily bites on The Truth’s fingers. The Truth screams, Samoa Joe falls dead silent with a stunned, horrified look, as the two beat and stomp him mercilessly. This murderous display is halted by Ron Killings, who hulks up, starts to overpower his opponents, and puts an end to the train ride with a corkscrew scissors kick on Chris Sabin.

Winners: Team Impact (rating: 61)

TITLE MATCH: Incognito vs. Drew Galloway in a To Hell in an Ambulance Match for the Lucha Underground Gift of the Gods Championship

The object of this match is to put your opponent in the ambulance. Drew Galloway throws Incognito around easily before hitting a head scissors and almost placing him in the compartment. The fans round on him, clapping and cheering in excitement. This is probably the first time they’ve been behind Galloway. Incognito is seen shaking and adjusting his boot, still in the fight but in bad shape. His face doesn’t look good but he’s not gonna go down without a fight now. Drew joins him in the ring, watching him like a hawk. Incognito has enough of this. He barrels Drew back into the ring, using his speed to help him escape. Galloway kicks him in the ribs as he goes, but Incognito crouches low and grabs his boot straps. He pulls him to the outside and sends him face first into the wall of the ambulance. Galloway rolls around for a second and Incognito starts hitting him with punches, ignoring the EMT’s coming to check on the pair. Galloway’s not going down without a fight and he grabs Incognito from behind by his mask and pulls him to the middle of the entrance ramp. Incognito rolls into the middle and grabs a folding chair from underneath the ring. He plants Galloway on the back of his knee and makes the stomp and then a follow up kick. Drew suddenly reaches out and trips Incognito, staggers to his feet and lies in wait for him. He lines up the Claymore Kick, and Incognito never saw it coming! He puts Incognito in the ambulance! The ambulance drives into a dark passage... the passage explodes into flames!! Galloway has won back the Gift of the Gods Championship! But what happened to his opponent?

Winner and NEW champion: Drew Galloway (rating: 72)

TITLE MATCH: Brother Devon vs. Austin Creed for the Lucha Underground Championship

It’s time for a Lucha Underground title defense between Brother Devon and Austin Creed! This match is a lot more explosive than you would think. Surprisingly the fight isn’t pure action and drama but a match based on excellent psychology instead. It’s a fight between two men with amazing hearts and care for each other. Brother Devon finds himself in an extreme disadvantage but he knows that he needs to prevail, there’s no way Creed is letting this happen, and Devon does everything to get over his opponent's speed and quickness. The challenger Austin Creed gets off to an incredible start after a number of attacks. It seems like he’s winning in the end. Their rough hitting style moves the crowd, they’re drawing some big cheers. Another big strike from Creed puts Devon in an almost impossible position, he can’t stop Creed from taking over, Creed's signature fireman's carry cutter is unleashed and he goes for his sweet victory. It’s not happening though, for better or worse Creed is forced to back off… Creed applies an indestructible submission and throws Brother Devon three times to the floor but Devon still has the will to come right back and the will to pull Creed off! Creed looks the stronger man for a while, with his submission attempt taking its toll, but finally Brother Devon regains the advantage and calls for his own indestructible submission. He pins Creed face down on his chest and wins by submission and cements himself as the true Lucha Legend.

Winner and NEW champion: Brother Devon (rating: 75)

TITLE MATCH: Mark Haskins vs. Noam Dar for the PCW Cruiserweight title

Haskins simply smiles to himself and poses as the opening bell sounds. Dar is the first to fight back though, and almost immediately hits Haskins into the mats. Haskins is up and collapses Dar to the mat with a big boot, but the heel can't keep it up. Dar gets to his feet and is caught again in an immediate rollup by Haskins. Dar kicks out, fights his way back to his feet and they move into an arm-bar of some kind, but it is very brief as Haskins ends the match with another rollup. As the ref counts the early pinfall, the heel Haskins raises his hand to taunt the crowd. The new champion holds his title over his head as the ref raised his arm.

Winner and NEW champion: Mark Haskins (rating: 51)

TITLE MATCH: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Mikey Whiplash for the PCW Heavyweight title

Whiplash flexes his arms in his corner as the crowd barrages the arrogant smart ass with abuse. The ref stands in front of Zack and tells him to relax just as he does the same, to which he is promptly grabbed from behind by Whiplash who twists his arm as he runs his own mouth. But Sabre just laughs and remains in position. A roundhouse kick from Whiplash and Mr. No Gimmicks Required then punches him in the face, but Zack gets up and the two batter each other until Zack turns the tables and backs Whiplash into the ring. As Whiplash tries to stand up, he hits the rope and turns to the outside where Zack again blusters his way in and beats him down. Zack calls for the finisher and lies in wait for Whiplash to stand up. Zack charges in, grabs Whiplash from behind, and locks him in the Mr. Men & Little Miss Is Better Than Postman Pat Clutch, to great effect as Whiplash taps out, taking the loss. Afterward, Whiplash cuts a promo backstage that straight up slaps the audience and delves into a rant that will go down in angry wrestler nonsense history.

Winner and NEW champion: Zack Sabre Jr. (rating: 58)

TITLE MATCH: Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Genki Horiguchi for the GAORA TV Championship

Ryusuke Taguchi makes his way out to the ring, and stands by his corner as Genki Horiguchi comes around and speaks with All Japan officials before he joins Akira Taue, who congratulates him on his performance in last month's Best of the Super Juniors. The Tokyo crowd continue chanting over and over variations of "We want Taguchi". Taguchi and Horiguchi mosey around the ring and exchange polite bows, and then Horiguchi hits Taguchi from behind as they start their match. This is a technical challenge in only 9:00, so lets get it on...

They go at it for all they are worth but Horiguchi evades anything that Taguchi will deliver, although the Dropkick Master fails a few belly to belly suplexes and Horiguchi dodges them. This match is going on pretty long but with Horiguchi looking a good deal fresher than Taguchi, it may be wise to go for the win simply to rid himself of the annoying Horiguchi. Nearly seven minutes go by and Genki shows greater fury than usual as the loss looks more and more certain. The fans really look for the victory, it must be said but the highlight of this episode is a front dropkick by Taguchi that is parried by Horiguchi, who swings with a lariat 1.5 seconds late, before Taguchi nails him with a springboard Enban Chuudoku and secures the win.

Winner and NEW champion: Ryusuke Taguchi (rating: 63)

TITLE MATCH: Black Tiger VII vs Super Strong Machine for the AJPW Triple Crown Championship
Two masked competitors, with Tiger as the talented all-rounder and Machine being a stiff powerhouse fighter in his old age. They lock up and trade holds, Machine gains the advantage, throws Tiger into the ropes, and greets him with a hard kick. Tiger tries to shake off the pain of the kick to no avail, but when it seems all hope is lost he finally gains some strength and begins to attack Super Strong Machine at will. Machine is able to hit a high slam and then a boot stomp, but his power is too limited and is quickly overpowered by Tiger, especially with the help of his kicks to launch Super Strong Machine towards his own corner. Machine counters from his cornered position and pushes Tiger backwards. With a kick to the leg he manages to buckle Black Tiger’s knee and then stretches Black Tiger to dry on the mat with a double reverse figure 4. Machine is certain he’s the winner, practically celebrating even as Tiger’s foot just barely escapes him, and he is promptly kicked until he is forced to let go. Tiger staggers to his feet, Machine tries to finish him off, but Tiger gets a second wind and evades Machine's grab. A high-speed roundhouse in the face sends him face first into the mat, and wins the match for Black Tiger.

Winner and NEW champion: Black Tiger VII (rating: 52)

TITLE MATCH: Rey Mysterio vs. George Murdoch for the AIW Absolute Championship

The AIW roster has always provided great action, and this night was no exception. Murdoch was assured his spot in Berwyn at Absolution IX as Rey looked to take the vacant AIW title in a match the crowd had demanded after he was hired in the great scramble.

The amicable Latino decided to start slow with an arm wringer, while Murdoch looked to do the same with a double axe handle. However, Rey moved out of the way, leaving Murdoch to ram face first into the turnbuckles. With a quick-step, Rey ducked a punch and kicked Murdoch in the ribs. He then hit a Moonsault from the second rope, followed by a middle rope jumping outside leg sweep. Murdoch rolled around, suggesting he may be recovering, until he went down after a headscissor takedown. Rey chased after him, hitting a second Moonsault off the second rope for a near fall to keep the crowd roaring. To draw the crowd’s attention, Rey kipped up after a second rope roundhouse kick and followed up with a three-pointed elbow drop, taking Murdoch down with a splash and then hitting the 619 for the pin and the three-count. Simultaneously calm and intense, Rey Mysterio took no prisoners in his first match in Berwyn, and guaranteed himself being seen and heard in Illinois for years to come.

Winner and NEW champion: Rey Mysterio (rating: 62)

Davey Richards and Erik Doom vs. Brother Devon & Abyss

Teammates Davey Richards and Erik Doom were not preparing to do battle with Brother Devon and Abyss, but their opponents had other ideas. Abyss emerged from the back, announcing an impromptu battle between Richards and him which was turned into a tag team affair. Cary Silkin sees the fight and offers our warriors a #1 contendership of the title belts, which he flaunts by flipping them through the air. Its a little too swag to be true. The teams faced off, but there was plenty of time for showboating. Ultimately, Davey and Abyss teamed off against each other. They first dodged around without too much of a fight, however, the next exchange clenched things up nicely. It was the same for the rest of the match until Devon gets the hot tag.

Both Richards and Doom charged in and Devon cleaned house. Devon shouted to Abyss on the outside: "Abyss, do ya speak English? Get the tables!" Luckily, Abyss speaks fluent Violence, and sets one up. Devon whips Doom into the ropes and fires him over the top rope, sending him crashing through the table! The legal man Richards gets up just in time to walk into a Saving Grace and three seconds later, Devon was the only one left standing. Screw them both up, brother!

Winners: Brother Devon & Abyss (now given the tag team name Mayhem) (rating: 69)

TITLE MATCH: Matt Hardy vs. Tom Pestock for the PWG World Heavyweight title

Hardy faced Pestock on February 24 as ‘The ICONIC’ took on ‘The Lone Wolf’. Tom’s selling, for example looking into the crowd and clutching his eye, were excellent. Pestock had good heat and he would walk from one corner of the ring to the other, to wherever he needed to be under what is probably a very painful eye strain. Matt’s selling was convincing too as he came out with full swagger, as usual. He promised to be ‘everyone's favorite’, and sported a neat new cape. They had an excellent brawling style match with some great spots and when Matt dropped Pestock to the outside (as he did so, he landed less than 10 inches from the ring stairs, making Pestock very thankful he was dealing with the more sober Hardy brother. should Finlay not count this as a no contest?), it turned the tables in Matt's favor. Lastly, Pestock caught the Twist of Fate in the 7th minute for the loss. As good as Matt’s pop was, this was his first good match anywhere in a long time. The crowd also made an all out effort to support him, especially for the near falls as they’re a traditionally great Wild West crowd.

Winner and NEW champion: Matt Hardy (rating: 60)

Máscara Dorada vs. Flamita vs. Alan Stone

When it comes to their programme, Stone and Dorado are like a couple of bros and what better way to cool the bromance than with a hardcore beatdown? After getting disrespected by Stone, Flamita demanded respect and paid the price, as Alan Stone had no issue with dishing out some much needed beatings. Stone’s powerbomb sent Flamita crashing into the ring post and he was looking very painful indeed. The tables were quickly turned as Flamita found a golden opportunity to unleash a beatdown on the old guard, flying over Stone with a Mojado Plata to make sure he didn’t make too much up too much lost ground. But like a true punk, Stone’s loyalty to his friends got the best of him and he shoved Flamita off of him onto the steps in order to avoid taking a bone breaking fall. With his strength restored, Flamita made the best out of a bad situation and quickly moved back into the ring and took a beating from Dorada. Dorada tried to capitalise by setting up the Dorada Screwdriver, but the veteran Stone wasn’t kidding around and caught him from behind. After a back drop into the ring post, Stone rolled him up for three with a back slide pin. With the bridge.

TITLE MATCH: Ángel de Oro (w/ Gedo) vs. Valiente vs. Lizmark Jr. for the DTU Consagrado title

Gedo strolling down to ringside had quite the effect on the rudo Lizmark Jr. He elicited pure, unadulterated hatred from the man, causing a constant distraction from ringside. No doubt Lizmark didn’t mind acting a fool and would do everything to reclaim that belt. The match was fast and furious, neither man aware of what the others were doing, locked in a cage can-opener sort of way. With bodies all over the place, it may have even been a disqualification finish if the ref was conscious. Oro used the ropes for leverage to get out of Lizmark's crossface hold and both men had their throats popped a little with Valiente’s next shot. That gave a little leeway as Valiente tried a surfboard stretch but Lizmark grabbed him from behind and in the confusion, Valiente was rammed into the ref with a dragon screw. Ángel de Oro kicked Valiente down and made Lizmark submit to La Mecedora, but the ref did not see. Valiente made the save, freeing Lizmark back in as the tecnicos grappled each other, with serious threats exchanged when Gedo came from behind. Gedo continuously stood guard over Oro as Valiente slammed Lizmark against concrete. Thrown into the barrier, Lizmark struggled to his feet as Valiente blocked Oro from getting back in the fight. To illustrate his point, Ángel pushed Valiente in the head and they argued for a bit, until Lizmark ambushed them both and landed a Sitout Powerbomb on Valiente to take back the title.

TITLE MATCH: Máscara Año 2000, Jr. vs. Pierroth for the DTU Alto Rendimiento title (Pierroth was listed as having no mask so I'm rolling with it!)

It took a while for this title to transition and it shook up the promotion. Finding themselves one-on-one, Pierroth crossed his arms and Máscara Año 2000 grabbed hold of him. He dragged Pierroth back to the middle of the ring and wrenched him around by his arms and his legs. The Pierroth family heir tried to hit his finisher, the powerslam, to little avail, but he still clung on, even when Máscara Año 2000 threw him off into the middle of the ring. Mascara's plan was foiled, as Pierroth was a proverbial bad luck charm. Pierroth head-rammed Máscara but the referee reprimanded him. Pierroth worked over the knee, but couldn't get the submission. It looked as if Mascara was finally going to lose the match but with Pierroth bleeding, Máscara grabbed him and locked him in a sleeper submission. Mascara was awarded the K.O. win in just over fourteen minutes. This is what’s becoming of DTU. There was no build up for anything, but they did try to draw people in given the unusual circumstances.

TITLE MATCH: Ryo Saito and SUWA vs. Eita and Yuga Hayashi for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles

Ryo Saito and SUWA came out to challenge the Over Generation members for the vacant belts. They looked to be a credible pair of opponents as they edged out YOSHI-HASHI and Mondai Ryu in a recent tour date, so it was more of an in-your-face move by SUWA to challenge them here. Hayashi kicked things off with a kick into a rolling hip lift, following up with a flying roundhouse to level the score. Hayashi dragged in Eita and they took to their corner, but Saito was then tagged in the match. Eita gave him a standing moonsault for two, but Saito quickly countered with a snap vertical dropkick that nearly took out Eita’s knees. Eita pulled Saito into a choke lock as the ref warned him to release the hold, and just when it looked like he wasn’t paying attention, he did it again. But Saito wasn’t thrown off at all, and hit a running shooting star press dropping Eita and the referee like it was nothing. It took a while to get back to his feet, and try as he might, Eita still couldn’t pick himself up before Saito pinned him with a Dragon Suplex. At the best of times, these two would have been at the top of any list of the best teams, maybe if your rating is the intensity... The worst thing here was that SUWA did not get much screen time.

Winners and NEW champions: Ryo Saito and SUWA (rating: 58)

TITLE MATCH: Susumu Mochizuki vs. Taiji Ishimori vs. 'brother' YASSHI vs. SUSHI for the GHC Junior Heavyweight title

The four men came out, and Susumu and YASSHI had exchanged some words, but Mochizuki just didn’t want to play along. Ishimori looked to be creating a distraction for his opponents, but YASSHI hit him with a springboard dropkick before he could capitalize. Ishimori kicked out of a plancha for two, then fell victim to a Nice Jamaica, while YASSHI took offense with the ref's counting speed. Mochizuki received a double team beatdown as well before he was even able to get anything together. YASSHI got in a good kick, and the former Open The Dream Gate champ was on the ropes, only for SUSHI and Ishimori to join the party. While SUSHI knocked YASSHI down, Ishimori dropped Susumu at the same time. YASSHI didn’t get a chance to recover as Ishimori and SUSHI fought over who would pin him. Mochizuki was soon back on his feet however, snatching both of their legs and hitting a very innovative double Dragon Screw legwhip for the win to get the crowd hot for the next match.

Winner and NEW champion: Susumu Mochizuki (rating: 68)

TITLE MATCH: Akira Tozawa vs. NOSAWA Rongai vs. Kotaro Suzuki vs. SANADA for the GHC Heavyweight title

Sanshiro Takagi wants Suzuki to beat Tozawa for the number one title in NOAH which puts the whole division on notice. Suzuki wants to collect all four major titles, but the others backstage would rather see Tozawa on top on account of all the money he makes for the company. Suzuki lost in his last couple tour matches, but other than that, NOSAWA and SANADA stepped up and took advantage of Suzuki’s open challenge while Tozawa was busy finding fault with everyone.

Here, Suzuki was taking a beating from NOSAWA while Tozawa hammered away at SANADA. Tozawa finally bridged the gap by attacking and crippling Suzuki in the corner. Tozawa was getting the crowd riled up, with the vocal response proving to be the best kind of heat. Suzuki attempted a cheap shot on SANADA to speed the match along, but SANADA’s superior conditioning made Suzuki whiff a second too late and it would be Tozawa coming for him again before things were settled in the centre of the ring. It was a match of milliseconds as Tozawa had left Suzuki with the tiniest of gaps to superkick him from, but NOSAWA took the hit, was immediately broken down and slumped into the corner, and this was Tozawa’s chance for the match-ending Deadlift German Suplex. Tozawa landed it, but Suzuki kicked out. Suzuki rose to his feet again, but Tozawa left the ring and Suzuki chased after him, only to miss the high spot and then have his back snapped by a successful German suplex from Tozawa. NOSAWA recovered from the corner, SANADA dragged himself back up, they both dove to break up the pin but the referee counted three first. Tozawa was the new champion, and he concluded the show by declaring himself the number 1.

Winner and NEW champion: Akira Tozawa (rating: 70)

I notice in some diaries, people leave little comments under the matches and predictions. Sounds like fun and I want to try that style! It's not necessary. Just if you like to add a little personality. I'm still learning how diaries work, so I'll experiment with adding more interactive elements in the future.

Davey Richards vs. Jay Freddie (w/X-Pac)

Davey Richards stood out right from the start of his match with technical tactician Jay Freddie. After some back-and-forth chain grappling, Richards met Freddie with a superplex and an "Invader" before he railed on him with boots and kicks, throwing him to the outside while laughing at him, followed by a springboard moonsault. From there, Richards controlled the rest of the match, knocking him down after each swing and kept striking until Freddie was worn out. The ref called for the bell after Richards blocked a charge from X-Pac (who was invited to ringside by Jay), then watched in horror as Richards threw big show-stoppers at Freddie until he wilted to the ground with his face looking like the wrong side of a horse; both men were subsequently booed out of the arena.

TITLE MATCH: James Storm and Low-Ki vs. Teddy Hart and Kenneth Cameron (w/Robert Roode) for the CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas

Kenneth Cameron and Teddy Hart demonstrated some creative ring psychology against James Storm and Low-Ki before Low-Ki took over, reigniting his attack against Hart. Low-Ki looked to be turning the tide in his favor, but the crafty Hart rallied Cameron in time for Cameron to unload a series of stiff blows to Low-Ki - then the chaos amongst the combatants escalated to the point where Hart and Cameron's corner man, Robert Roode, hit Low-Ki with a mic stand before the referee could catch him and unbuttoned his shirt to reveal straps for securing Low-Ki's legs to a chair, as the now free Cameron saw Storm lying on the ground with Hart standing over him. Hart gave Storm a boot to the gut, causing Storm to roll through the ropes and out of the ring as Hart and Cameron used this window of opportunity to pick up the slack for their previously struggling team, attacking Storm before he was able to grapple with Roode; the heels finally got the better of him and quickly put Storm away. Hart climbs to the top rope for a Hart Attack, when out of nowhere - Low-Ki, still tied to a chair and hopping like mad! He uses his free hand to throw Hart off the turnbuckle and submit him with a one-handed chair-assisted Dragon Clutch. After the match, Low-Ki's face made it clear that he will continue to look out for his team's best interests in the future.

Winners and NEW champions: James Storm and Low-Ki (rating: 64)

Michael Hutter vs. Kevin Nash

The battle of brawn between longtime Kliq associate Kevin Nash and no-gimmick brawler Michael Hutter opened with each man trading holds early on. Nash kept things slow, stiff and methodical, while Hutter traded solid strikes and dodged others with an impressive combination of power and technique. It was in the second half of the bout that the TNA favorite Hutter successfully hit his signature TK3 after a ref bump, then climbing to the second rope to set up for an unexpected diving move - only for a revived Nash to catch him with a mist of spray paint. He showboated and did some nWo poses while Hutter stayed down for a suspiciously long time, drawing huge heat, then he won clean with a Jackknife Powerbomb.

Winner: Kevin Nash (rating: 61)

SEMIFINAL: Brother Devon vs. Phil Shatter

Awkward, awkward, Shatter, sad and awkward! American up-and-comer Lucky 13 and his new trainer, Arn Anderson, interrupted Brother Devon from mauling Phil Shatter with a superkick, driving him away as well, but their little prank ultimately ruined Shatter's momentum and helped Devon when they wasted time having a couple of laughs instead of brutalizing him. Devon quickly recovered, beat them both down, and hit a Saving Grace on Shatter right into a chair, giving his adversary a handicap loss to advance in the tournament, in a match the referee was reluctant to call a win due to all the interference that tried to ruin the match.

SEMIFINAL: Joe Hennig vs. Mark Briscoe

Joe Hennig needed help to defeat Marylander daredevil Mark Briscoe at the Tournament of Death as he tried to employ many of his regular technical tactics to try to help him finally beat Mark's crazy moveset. Initially, he tried to grab Mark from behind and attempt the Saito Suplex to knock him out, but after this failed, he tried to go for lifts and suplexes. But he was in danger of losing the strength advantage in that Mark was usually too fast for Joe Hennig to throw around in this match in terms of size, weight and strength. To be fair, Mark had his own variety of moves (as he did in the past in Ring Of Honor) that proved effective against an opponent with a size advantage - but late in the match, Mark's size proved to be his greatest weakness as he was caught in mid-flying move, as Hennig finally got him onto his shoulders and let loose with an impressive Electric Chair Drop. In the end, Hennig used his onslaught against Mark to his advantage, lifting him up on his shoulders and sending him way over the top rope, but he was interrupted by someone who nudged into him from behind - it was the referee, who inadvertently saved Mark from defeat as Hennig wasted time arguing. He was ambushed by a tremendous moonsaulting splash and pinned by the Briscoe brother.

FINAL: Brother Devon vs. Mark Briscoe in a Main Event Tables Match

This match was perhaps an attempt by CZW to capitalize on their hiring of Mark Briscoe without his brother, and in it a deceptively understated tables match loaded with importance as well as an abundance of legitimately violent chairshots from both sides. The contest went back-and-forth with both "Brothers" brawling with tables and other weapons, and each trying to create an upset with neither coming out of the match conclusively ahead. Though Briscoe gained a single advantage over Devon by smashing two porcelain lamps over his head at one point, Devon put the former ROH Tag Team champion away after Devon delivered him unto the canvas with a nearly lethal overhead powerbomb, and knocked him unconscious with a second powerbomb slamming him down through a stiff-looking dining room table to get the win.

- Leono of AAA has become more hostile to his rivals! They are openly at war with their long time opposition CMLL, and have broken off the friendship that existed between them and Desastre Total Ultraviolento. They're in business for themselves now.

Dragon Kid, Kana & Hi69 vs. Ryuji Ito, Andy Wu and Miyako Matsumoto

The new mixed tag team pair Kana and Dragon Kid debuted in DDT with newfound purpose after having left the scene of their glory, only to find themselves back in the old trio match grind against Andy Wu. Meanwhile, Ito feuded with Hi69 during the early part of the fight. Due to this, Ito's team tried to dissuade each other during the course of the match and the teamwork only grew weaker and weaker as time went on. When the teamwork finally broke down, the result was disastrous. Ito was in trouble as Kana had him in an airtight Dojime Chickenwing Facelock. Matsumoto was reaching out for a tag, but Ito just waved her off. "No, I can do it!" He tried to drag himself to the ropes the hard way. Suffice to say, he didn't make it before tapping out.

Winners: Dragon Kid, Kana & Hi69 (rating: 53)

Akira Tozawa, Taiji Ishimori and Susumu Mochizuki vs. Daisuke Sekimoto, Kazushi Miyamoto and SANADA

Akira Tozawa made his NOAH debut and came out to battle SANADA. The junior heavyweights, Ishimori and Mochizuki, came out for a staredown with their much larger opponents. The middleweights in SANADA's corner, Sekimoto and Miyamoto, entered the ring and joined in on the staredown; the junior heavyweights then finally made a challenge to SANADA's team and they locked up. The match proceeded as a battle of flashiness vs. power, with SANADA being the only weak link among these talented fighters. In the climax of the match, Sekimoto's team gained the advantage as a lariat and flying dropkick destroyed Tozawa. After Tozawa got back up and seemed to be on his feet, Sekimoto tore his kneepad open and pounded on him until he fell to the mat. Sekimoto was performing origami on Tozawa via Sharpshooter after bending him into splits, but Tozawa rolled Sekimoto into a school boy pin to escape the hold and claim victory.

Winners: Akira Tozawa, Taiji Ishimori and Susumu Mochizuki (rating: 67)

Nicho el Millonero vs. Demus 3:16 in a Lucha Extrema match

A good to great rudo vs rudo fight, which makes sense as Nicho was Demus' original trainer. Tony Durango is one of the main event anchors, which will only benefit the team that put together this freelance show, showcasing talent that hasn't been rehired yet. Demus tries briefly to flip off some of the audience, but the crowd just gives him a chilly reaction. So Demus sulks in his own corner with an ornery expression while Nicho is standing in the arena cheering and letting his antics speak for themselves. Nicho is really into it, and we wonder: what made Nicho go from winning a lucha title in AAA (where he was a rudo) to becoming a good character in the States? He doesn't say much on the mic. Nicho hits about a dozen standing elbow drops before Demus hits a spear, but it's as weak as you expect from a mascota as it bounces off Nicho. Nicho tries to pin and get a quick win, but gets careless and Demus fights his way out with a crossbody. They fight through the crowd some. Noting that falls count anywhere, Nicho decides the best option is to chuck Demus into a spotlight. The little man crashes through it in a shower of light and sparks! Nicho climbs on the cracked spotlight and drops the big leg on Demus for the pin. Expectations: good. Power: strong-moderate. Match quality: good.

Winner: Nicho el Millonero (rating: 52)

TITLE MATCH: TARIK vs. Johnny Gargano for the A1 Alpha Male Championship

This was just a huge blow off. Both came hard hoping it would blow off all of the anger and frustration of their last shows, but it just went back and forth, with both taking a lot of bumps. Johnny struggled especially, but still lost to a better alpha male. This one was a complete clusterfudge as both guys took a ton of punishment while keeping the crowd heat on. One spot I really liked was when TARIK dived from the top rope and Gargano landed an enziguiri on him in mid-flight. In the climax of the match, TARIK had Johnny's own GargaNo Escape locked in on him, but I didn't think the fans got hot over it. I loved the move anyway, and thought Johnny's selling it was spectacular. He is phenomenal in the face of adversity. Gargano eventually had no choice but to tap out, leaving TARIK the winner as he taunted the crowd.

Winner and NEW champion: TARIK (rating: 50)

TITLE MATCH: Alltime's (Taiji Ishimori and Akira Raijin) vs. 'brother' YASSHI and Kotaro Suzuki for the NWA International Lightweight Tag Team titles

The fans had got behind Alltime's after the Tag belts were vacated. This match began with Raijin flattening Suzuki with a springboard clothesline. Raijin showered Suzuki with clubbing strikes and sent him tumbling out of the ring! YASSHI tried to intervene but Raijin kept going to work on Suzuki. Suzuki rolled back inside to recuperate, and both men make a tag.

Then a medley of drivers, DDTs and jackhammers ensued! Ishimori is thrown all around the four corners of the ring. The referee thankfully got out of the way. YASSHI comes flying through with a running clothesline to Ishimori and on the outside, Suzuki is untying the turnbuckle pad for YASSHI to throw Ishimori into. YASSHI follows up with a flying shoulderblock off the top rope. Ishimori tries a quick roll to the floor to get away but YASSHI is still out there after him. Ishimori gets back in the fight with a hurricanrana and a springboard kick. No pinfall attempt from Alltime's here. Only a quick break so Ishimori can catch his breath.

Instead, Suzuki is holding the belt! Ishimori sets up YASSHI for the Bloody Cross and YASSHI desperately bites him to distract him from the spike. Ishimori unfortunately fails to dodge the belt shot and his nose is broken, as YASSHI repays the favour by delivering the pinfall. Kotaro Suzuki helps YASSHI out of the ring with the belts before Alltime's could retaliate.

Winners and NEW champions: 'brother' YASSHI and Kotaro Suzuki (rating: 55)

TITLE MATCH: CIMA vs. Jimmy Susumu for the ZERO1 International Junior Heavyweight title

Another tour match but with an added twist: CIMA has had many great wars with Jimmy, but never in ZERO1, so the fans received this match as an interesting rematch. These two were just as good as before. This had even more underdog drama and peppered with cheeky fun from the skilled junior heavyweights. At first, CIMA didn't have any steam, then he bought time to rest and regain his wits before the match kicked into gear. He had the same problem later, but Jimmy played into his nature and threw in good right hands to show he's the better opponent. CIMA still overcame it and picked up the finish as he hit a cross body and got a near fall off a sunset bomb. Jimmy surprised CIMA towards the end, dunking him, but CIMA sat to his knees, got a kip-up as he hit a Crossfire and picked up his first ZERO1 gold. A bit late, but still a fitting end to the tour event. Normally I don't care for this rivalry but given that CIMA beat Jimmy in the ring, fought him out on the road and managed to hang the belt on his waist and take pride in it, it was a great moment, and they made the best of it.

Winner and NEW champion: CIMA (rating: 62)
