“Where was I… oh yeah. They say I’ve been committed? You’re damn right I’m committed. This asylum that has signed me is going to turn into the greatest wrestling hotbed in history. I’m a gosh-darned legend and the NWA knew that 15 years ago when they first brought me in to be the face of the organization. So it’s back to my origins, eh? Yeah, I’m committed! It’s Showtime! Woooooo!!!!!”

The teenage cashier looked incredibly uncomfortable with the muscular man clad in black, wearing face paint. It was clear she had no idea how to handle the situation, when finally her manager approached. Rhonda, 5’6 and full of intensity, stood firm behind the counter and stared Sting down with the fire of a thousand suns at midday.

image.jpeg

“Sir, this is a Wendy’s… And can you please put the baseball bat away? You’re scaring my staff.”

The year is 2002. Jeff Jarrett and his father Jerry have acknowledged a gap in the North American wrestling scene with no clear alternative for fans to to turn towards. In partnership with the NWA, they have formed Total Nonstop Action, based out of the Tennessee State Fairgrounds Sports Arena. There is a clear difference from reality here - determined to do something new, the Jarrett’s want to put on a wrestling program that plays more like a dramatic serial TV show. Welcome to the Asylum - where the wrestlers are unwell. Welcome to TNA.

***Trigger warning. This diary draws inspiration from Lucha Underground, a world where murder can happen and a seedy underbelly exists. Due to the start date of 2002, some events (specifically, the onscreen deaths and substance issues of wrestlers that have passed in reality since 2002) may be uncomfortable for some readers.

*** To any readers of my WCW series - I am not ending it. But I do need a bit of a breather from it - it's statistical overload and I need a creative outlet for a bit.

The roster is in place. I want to ensure the OG TNA roster gets good love here for the sake of fan-fare, but some names didn't make the cut due not fitting thematically.

Oh okay. Did you snatch wrestlers from other promotions to appear on the roster as well? Are the Briscoe Brothers from roh join in this time? Did you get guys like Rey mysterio or Scott Steiner before they signed with wwe? Are former ecw guys that didn't sign with wwe for the invasion like sandman, sabu, balls Mahoney or the full blooded Italians, apart of your roster? Is tna still with nwa? Will you be partnering with other indys like mlw, chikara, pwg or combat zone? What about international partnerships with the likes of New Japan, all Japan or noah?

S01E01 : Pilot

The show opens as the sun is setting at the development grounds of Hawkins Field, beside Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville. A small squad of policemen escorts a handcuffed man in a trench coat to a squad car. Once the culprit has been placed in the backseat, the officers open their trunk and place down a single, black baseball bat. As the car rolls out of the parking lot, the camera cuts to a face on shot of Sting in the backseat, with the sunset pouring over his shoulders behind him. Narration begins to augment the shot.

Yw8oqxT.jpg
It’s been over a year since I left the hellscape known as Nitro behind. That world was one of corruption, gangland attacks, and sin - I was the silent light.
Yw8oqxT.jpg
They called me the vigilante. The enigma lurking above in the shadows. In the world of professional wrestling, I was an anomaly. A force of darkness fighting against the corrupted heart of WCW. They wanted me to embrace the darkness, but instead I became it. I became the embodiment of their fears, their nightmares.
Yw8oqxT.jpg
But it wasn’t always like this. Once, I stood alongside heroes, warriors of justice. Then I saw the truth - I witnessed the decay, the deceit that poisoned the very foundation of WCW. And I knew, to truly bring justice, I had to descend into the abyss.
Yw8oqxT.jpg
They called me The Crow, a creature of vengeance. The fallen angel who sought to right the wrongs. But they failed to understand that the darkness I embraced was merely a reflection of the darkness within them. Their sins, their lies, were laid bare before my eyes. So I became the guardian of the forgotten. The symbol of hope in a world filled with despair. Perched in the rafters, I watched the villains every move, their every wicked plan. I was controlling the game.
Yw8oqxT.jpg
In the ring, I struck fear into the hearts of those who dared to defy justice. I was relentless, unyielding, and unafraid to unleash my wrath upon those who deserved it. Every swing of my bat echoed with the echoes of retribution. The screams of the guilty were drowned by the roar of the crowd, their voices craving justice.
Yw8oqxT.jpg
They say you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. In the chaos of WCW, I walked the thin line between hero and villain. I played their game, their twisted dance of power and deceit. But I never lost sight of my purpose. I fought for the greater good, even if it meant becoming the embodiment of their nightmares.
Yw8oqxT.jpg
As the years passed, WCW crumbled under the weight of its own corruption. The heroes fell, consumed by their own vices. But I endured. I stood as the last guardian, the lone sentinel in a crumbling kingdom. And when the darkness consumed WCW, I remained standing. I was the symbol they needed, the symbol of redemption and hope.
Yw8oqxT.jpg
And now, a new darkness emerges in the heart of Tennessee. I must abide, I must be once again don the face of Stinger.

We see a physician talking to Sting and filling out forms as the narration continues. The camera does a close of the physician’s name tag which reads “Dr. Mitchell” and shows  parts of the paperwork he’s filling out. The patient, Steve Borden, has been admitted on criminal order as of May 31st, 2002. The physician has a large, muscular wall of a man standing cross armed behind him remaining stoic. This man is recognizable as ‘The Wall’ from WCW.

As Sting is led to his room by the muscular attendant, an older gentleman enters the room.

YdYPgiN.jpg
Doctor Mitchell, thank you for seeing me. I've heard about your unique establishment and the... talents within. I have a proposition that I believe could benefit both parties involved.
Ah, Mr. Tenay. I must say, I find your proposal intriguing. The combination of my institution's unique inhabitants and your underground fighting organization certainly piques my interest. Pray, do tell me more.
1JITbbY.jpg
YdYPgiN.jpg
Well, Doctor Mitchell, you see, my client’s organization is in dire need of fresh talent. Fighters who possess both raw power and a certain... unpredictable edge. And from what I understand, your asylum is home to a group of former professional wrestlers. Legends of the ring, fallen from grace. I believe they can bring an unmatched level of excitement and danger to our fights.
(smirks) Ah, the fallen heroes of the squared circle. Broken, discarded, and left to rot in the depths of society. It's a tragedy, really. But tragedy can be turned into opportunity, can't it?
1JITbbY.jpg
YdYPgiN.jpg
That's precisely what I'm proposing, Doctor Mitchell. My client is willing to provide substantial funding to your asylum, and… ugh… turn a blind eye to some of the less… traditional… methods of treatment you are deploying here. In return, you will allow me to recruit your patients as competitors for our organization. Think of it as a chance for redemption, a path to reclaim their lost glory.
(leans forward, his eyes filled with intrigue) Very well, Mr. Tenay. Your proposal is compelling, indeed. But before I agree, I must ask: What do you gain from this arrangement? What motivates you to seek out these broken souls?
1JITbbY.jpg
YdYPgiN.jpg
(pauses, collecting his thoughts) Doctor Mitchell, it's simple. The world craves entertainment that pushes boundaries, that shocks and captivates. Your patients, once revered as heroes, possess a level of intensity and showmanship that can reignite the fire within our audience. The allure of their tragic stories combined with their undeniable skill will make for an unforgettable spectacle.
(smiles sinisterly) Ah, the thirst for spectacle. The hunger for the extraordinary. Very well, Mr. Tenay. We have a deal. My asylum will provide you with a collection of the most damaged, resilient, and dangerous souls you could ever hope to find. But remember, they are still mine to control. Should you ever stray from our agreement, the consequences will be dire.
1JITbbY.jpg
YdYPgiN.jpg
I understand, Doctor Mitchell. This alliance is to our mutual benefit. I assure you, I will uphold our agreement with the utmost diligence.

Doctor Mitchell extends his hand, and after a moment's hesitation, Mike Tenay reaches out to shake it, sealing their unholy pact.

Welcome to a new chapter, Mr. Tenay. Prepare yourself for a spectacle the likes of which the world has never seen.
1JITbbY.jpg

They both rise from their seats, the room filled with an eerie sense of anticipation, as their sinister collaboration begins.

Alex Shelley, Jimmy Yang and Teddy Hart vs AJ Styles, Austin Aries and Low-Ki

The first ever match in NWA-TNA history is a wild, high flying six man tag. Throughout the match, Don West on commentary is overly enthusiastic, calling this the best action he’s ever seen in his life. Very little story here - primarily a way to introduce new wrestlers to the audience. The team of Styles, Low-Ki and Aries use some heel tendencies to help orientate the crowd to cheering for the opposition. In the end, Austin Aries scores a low blow on Teddy Hart and then locks in the Horns of Aries for the win.

Winner : AJ Styles, Low-Ki and Austin Aries in 14:44

B0E36yM.jpg

A news report airs from the fictional FCT-TV station - a local Nashville channel. The lead anchor is Rena Marlette, who fans may recognize as Sable from WWF.

qVEZNYT.jpg
Good evening, Nashville. In local news, a high profile raid occurred when the police entered the coveted grounds of local cult, ‘The New Church’. The raid occurred this morning around 11:00 AM, after authorities were finally granted a search warrant after two years of fighting for one. Suspicion regarding recent disappearance linked to the cult at this time continues to only be speculative. Our team was on the site this afternoon, where we were able to get comments from the chief of police, Chief Ivan Koloff.

Footage is shown just outside of The New Church’s property line, with a small handful of members being detained. We see four individuals being led to squad cars, (they remain nameless on the show, but for sake of reader engagement, these individuals may be recognized as Ricky Banderas, Crowbar, Wolfie D, and Mickie James. These names will not be the names they use in this show.) Chief Ivan Koloff is facing the camera and shares the following statement:

With our team finally getting warrant to enter the property of The New Church, we were able begin to build the foundation of our case against this group, and are able to shed a ray of truth on this dangerous group. Seized from the compound today included a small variety of semi-automatic weapons as well as a variety of narcotics. Unfortunately, as it stands we still have no leads on the mysterious Leader of the cult, were unable to find any evidence pertaining to the missing individuals that have been linked to the Church, and are unable to press any official charges at this time.
A couple of the followers of the cult did get hostile while we were on the premises and they have been arrested accordingly. All four of the assailants will be undergoing both medical and psychiatric evaluations in order to help rehabilitate the individuals. They aren’t not no criminals, but they are dangerous.
SEamNfS.jpg
The feed returns to the news room, where Rena gives the audience a second to breath before turning to other topics. The camera rolls backwards and we see Jerry Lynn and Sabu watching the TV from the communal space within the Nashville Asylum. Jerry Lynn comments on feeling bad for the followers, recalling his time living in an extreme cult in Philadelphia. Sabu doesn’t comment back, he only grimaces and grinds his teeth. The camera pans over him, showcasing his many scars.

23Bmlm5.jpg

Jerry Lynn vs Steve Corino

During the prematch introductions, Jeremy Borash announces both men as former ECW World Champions, which seems to cause Jerry Lynn to lose his focus, showing frustration which allows Corino to start the match on the attack. Back and forth action here as the announce team of West and Tenay sell their history in ECW. Jerry Lynn eventually locks in a Sharpshooter and Corino taps out.

Winner: Jerry Lynn in 12:26

We return to the psychiatric hospital where Dr. James Mitchell is profiling a new patient to the nurse. The camera pans to introduce the nurse to the audience, she’s got a file folder where she’s filling out her new patient form. Panning, up, her name tag reads, “Francine”.

BWGyhTc.jpg
Doctor, what is the patient’s name?
… He has not shared a name, nor does his have any paperwork on his person that can help in assessing. We will be referring to him by his condition - which will help you with your next field, please list his name as Psychosis.
1JITbbY.jpg
BWGyhTc.jpg
Understood. And his mode of admission?
Medical - the admitted was found at a gas station wearing a mask while dressed like some sort of super hero, and assumed to have been tripping on mushrooms, but upon evaluation, no drugs were present and he was transferred to us for further review.
1JITbbY.jpg
ujC8F5i.jpg
Hey ese, this is a misunderstanding. Let me call my agent - we can get this sorted out. I was supposed to be doing an signing and got lost, man.
Nurse, the patient is getting violent. Please administrate a sedative.
1JITbbY.jpg

Nurse Francine proceeds to inject Psychosis with a syringe as he attempts to argue against it before slumping into a trance. Francine blushes and seems to get a thrill out of doing this. All of the sudden, Jeremy Borash, the front desk administrator comes in, vocalizing that another doctor quit and they are understaffed. The kid seems frazzled and in over his head, and Dr. James Mitchell tells him that he guesses that JB has to cover the group session today. In the background, we see Joel Gertner mopping the floor.

8CWpZbu.jpg

Norman Smiley and Super Crazy vs Gran Apolo and Hernandez

Legendary Lucha figure, Konnan was spotted at ringside, watching - he seems to have some sort of association with Gran Apolo and Hernandez. Fairly straight forward match here, establishing Apolo and Hernandez as nasty latin thugs who were able to exert their will against the faces. Tenay sells this as a showcase of different styles that exist within lucha libre, from power to high flying to technique. Super Crazy does some unnecessary high flying which pops the hell out of Don West and in the end Hernandez hit Super Crazy with a Dominator to collect the win. After the match, the victors meet up with Konnan and the three leave together.

Winner : Gran Apolo and Hernandez in 11:37

We return to the asylum where JB looks super awkward and is leading a group of patients in council. The group consists of Ward B patients, Ron Killings, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig and Ken Shamrock. Jeremy shuffles through his papers, but they’re a crumpled, disheveled mess.

7J2jZ2Q.jpg
I’m sorry, but Dr. Mathias will not be joining us today - he’s taken a new position with a different institution… something about a difficult work environment. Now, I tried to get his notes on your group sessions, but I’m afraid I haven’t had time to review them.
This dump can’t even provide us with real doctors? This pipsqueak ain’t going to help me. Makes me want to open a bottle right now.
Lryqx16.jpg
7J2jZ2Q.jpg
Ah, um, Scott… Your file says that last time we discussed your perceived perfectionism, and the doctor…
Dumbass - that’s my file. And I am perfect. Unlike you, can’t even keep your files sorted. Maybe I should just run this group, and maybe this place should sign my release as no one has been able to clarify why I am here.
S4QHIEF.jpg

Hennig proceeds to spit out his gum and bat it over his shoulder. It’s a great schtick, but it falls just to the left of a garbage bin. Jeremy Borash is sweating excessively - it’s clear he’s out of his element here. He shuffles his papers around, dropping his clipboard in the process.

7J2jZ2Q.jpg
Okay, um… uh… How about we talk with Ken? Now, Ken, my understanding is that you are dealing with hallucinations and the doctors believe you may have um… split personality? Can we speak with ‘The Truth’ maybe today?

Ken struggles to respond. He starts grinding his teeth, his eyes get wide, and his face starts to redden.

I’m… not… crazy… That’s… not… my… FILE!
KrIBiII.jpg

Ken jumps out of his folding chair and tosses it at a monitor, shattering it. Jeremy Borash runs out of the room, screaming. Shamrock flips a coffee table as attendants and Nurse Francine run in. They restraint Shamrock and Francine administrates a sedative. Francine ushers the attendants to get Shamrock to confinement immediately. JB slinks back into the room, and approaches Ron Killings, who seems to be glancing back and forth nervously.

7J2jZ2Q.jpg
Hey Ron, uh, your call time is coming up. Need you to make your way to the shuttle.

Ron’s not here, Jeremy…
Here in ward B things ‘bout to get dark
Gonna stick em all, treat em like a mark
Stuck here with rage, perfection and a lush
Ain’t none of them capable of handlin K-Krush

Whatsup? WHATSUP?!

qI5Tgok.jpg

JeRYcdI.jpg

Monty Brown and Ron Killings vs Buff Bagwell and David Young

Don West sold Monty Brown a former NFL player, creating a story that during the off-season he had a violent outburst and was deemed unfit for football. Very even back and forth match. David Young got the advantage and looked to tag in Bagwell, but hesitated and seemed to get confused about what he was supposed to do. Killings took advantage of Young’s confusion and hits him with an Axe kick for the win.

Winners : Ron Killings and Monty Brown in 11:41

A montage of Joel Gertner of grabbing his iPod and completing his custodial duties to the tune of Smooth Operator. As he completes his tasks, we see the occasional low-key exchange between him and some patients. Done with his duties, Joel is shown entering his custodial closet and putting away his equipment, when the the door closes behind him and Chief Koloff appears in the closet with him. Koloff grabs Gertner by the neck, and slams him into the wall.

SEamNfS.jpg
Joel, don’t say a peep. I know what is going on here, and I know what you’ve been up to. I could have you locked up for a decade within the hour if I wanted to. But you are just a small fry - a pissant. I want the source - I want Konnan and I want whoever Konnan is working with. So listen to me, rat. Unless you want to become the quintessential love sponge of a prison shower, you are going to lead me to Konnan.
Okay… okay! I don’t want any trouble - I’m just trying to get by. I’ll bring you where you need to be. Just follow me at the fairgrounds tonight - I’ve got an exchange at midnight. But no wires - I’d be worse off with Konnan if he found a wire on me, then I would in any prison.
dexvrzu.jpg
SEamNfS.jpg
Good. Now, be a good little rat and get the fuck out of my sight.

V092eXn.jpg

Brian Christopher vs Scott Hall

As Christopher makes his way to the ring, he is shown consistently laughing like a hyena and Don West comments that it’s annoying and he doesn’t think that Christopher can control himself. This is a pretty one-sided basic brawl, that goes around ringside and includes some audience interaction - Hall seems to be having a lot of fun here. During the interaction, we notice just how much security is present at ringside, but commentary makes no comment of it. Hall slams a chair on his opponent and then poses with the crowd, when a plant throws a cup of beer at him. Scott Hall freaks out and attempts to go into the crowd when the security surrounds him. Hall takes a baton to the face and gets busted open. Hall is sent back to the ring, where he hits the Razor’s Edge quickly for the win and then immediately is escorted to the back.

Winner : Scott Hall in 10:27

B0E36yM.jpg

qVEZNYT.jpg
Good evening, Nashville. It’s been a busy week for the Nashville police chief Ivan Koloff, as just two days ago, his unit completed the high profile raid of the New Church compound, and this afternoon, saw more high profile action when the force had to apprehend an attempted bank robbery in a bizarre case of a table top role playing game gone too far.

Footage is shown of two men and one woman, all dressed in cowboy garb, being led to cop cars outside of a Bank of America out in the country side.

qVEZNYT.jpg
The perpetrators, identified as Chris Harris, James Storm and Gail Kim, are said to be avid players of the popular RPG game, “America’s Most Wanted”. Now, for those of you who don’t know this game - it’s similar to Dungeons and Dragon’s, a game where the players come up with stories and role-play themselves as characters in a fantasy world. “America’s Most Wanted” has been gaining popularity as a western-themed game where the players take the roles of cowboys, sheriffs, and the like, and set out to complete missions. Of course - this is supposed to be purely fantasy, but this clearly hasn’t been the case in this scenario. We were able get word from the police chief on this wild case.

Pre-recorded footage airs of a press conference from police chief Ivan Koloff.

… the perpetrators in this case - they are just playing a game and seem to have confused fiction for reality. They are being brought in for evaluations and interviewing. We have enough trouble with impressionable youths playing shooter games… I don’t think they are bad people, just confused. Hopefully now - we can get them the help they need. We are lucky that this didn’t go too far and no one was seriously hurt.
SEamNfS.jpg
qVEZNYT.jpg
Truly bizarre events. Well, that’s all the time we have tonight. This is Rena Marlette and from all of us at FCT-TV, stick to the melody, Music City.

7rfVrBb.jpg

Sting vs Rick Steiner

Sting is easily the biggest star on the show and gets a great reaction from the live crowd. The match itself is sloppy - the two men don’t have much chemistry. During the match, we see the man formerly known as ‘Gangrel’ watching Sting with interest from the shadows. The man is wearing similar attire to the film “Blade”, he’s got a trench coat on and is wearing a chest protector of some sorts. Sting plays the typical babyface routine here, maintaining that he's the fan favourite. West and Tenay talk about him being the main attraction of the NWA-TNA. Sting ends up getting the win with a scorpion death lock on Rick.

Winner : Sting in 13:36

We get footage of the fairgrounds arena closing down for the evening. Several talents are seen being shuttled away from the fairgrounds, back to the asylum. Once the majority are gone, Joel Gertner is shown sweeping and tidying up the space. He then starts locking up shop, closing the lights and applying some padlocks. He starts to walk away from the arena area, and a car flashes it’s headlights at him. Gertner nods his head and points a finger to the ground, grabbing at his neck briefly.

From a discreet van on the other side of the parking lot, Koloff, recognizing the signal, gets out of his van to follow on foot. The van houses several squad members who join follow Koloff from a safe distance.

Gertner weaves in and out of stalls at the fairgrounds as Koloff keeps pace. Eventually, his reinforcements take a wrong turn and lose Koloff. They try to radio Koloff, but get a lot of static.

Finally, Gertner approaches Konnan who has two goons waiting for him in a purple low-rider, as well as a dark haired girl. Konnan remains silent as Apolo leaves the low rider and pats down Gertner. Apolo nods at Konnan to give approval and he returns to the car.

acxgFBK.jpg
Everything good, ese? You seem more nervous than normal…
Yeah K-Dawg, it’s all good. I’ve just… had a long, hard day. Let’s get do this - I gotta get back to the dorm.
dexvrzu.jpg
acxgFBK.jpg
Listen, punk. You don’t direct traffic, understood? You’re my bitch and we do things my way, okay? Now - be a good bitch and give me my money and you can be on your way.

Gertner, looking defeated, nods, and hands Konnan a wad of cash. From behind a car, we see Chief Koloff gripping his pistol and waiting for Konnan to make the next move. He looks around, trying to spot his reinforcements, but they are no where to be seen. Koloff starts breathing heavier. Konnan pulls out several bags of an undefined substance and hands it over to Gertner. Immediately Koloff charges out from behind his cover, gun up.

Put your hands up!
SEamNfS.jpg

The goons attempt to get out of the car and without hesitation, Koloff fires a warning shot, hitting the handle of the low rider with precision, causing both goons to hold still. The lady in the car starts freaking out.

Konnan, you are under arrest for the distribution of narcotics! You have the right to remain silent!
SEamNfS.jpg

Koloff looks around, as none of his reinforcements step out from the shadows and he realizes that he’s out-numbered and Konnan doesn’t seem concerned at this point. Koloff reaches for his radio, but surveying the scene he realizes he needs to act fast and his team won't be able to find him quick enough.

acxgFBK.jpg
Holmes, you messed up. You feed this rat some cheese to get him to bring you to me? Doesn’t matter, I’m untouchable.
That’s where you are wrong, Konnan. I’ve got enough evidence going back to your days rolling with the nWo to put you away for life. This right here, tonight? It’s just the hard evidence that opens up all the warrants and all the permits to get every single one of your boys. I bring you in, your goons, your girl, tonight? That lady in the car looks like she’ll spill.
SEamNfS.jpg
acxgFBK.jpg
Where’s your boys? Where’s your back up? You think you can take me down by yourself? Nah, holmes. You’re as big as this rat, Joel, here. Perro, your time is up...

Suddenly, we hear the cocking of a gun. Koloffs eyes widen but a silenced pistol fires before he can move and he falls forwards. A pool of blood begins to form around his head. A figure in a duster, gloves and a cowboy hat looms over Chief Koloff’s lifeless body. His face is initially covered by shadows, but as he tilts his head up, light reveals Jeff Jarrett. He turns to Konnan.

Have your boys clean up this shit. Tonight was too close - we’re going to be under a microscope now. Time to take on the world.
W8eYQQ9.jpg

As the goons get out of the car to handle the Chief’s body, the camera remains focused on Jarrett looking sinister as a small stream of smoke exits his gun, and the show cuts too black.

Sting's voiceover narrates as he steps into the dimly lit ward block, his mind clouded with delusions of grandeur.

Yw8oqxT.jpg
*Voice Over* I walked into a place filled with lost souls, a fortress of broken dreams. Deep down, I knew I was the hero they needed, the light in their darkness.

As Doctor James Mitchell leads Sting down the sterile hallway, he introduces him to the other patients, their faces etched with pain and confusion.

Sting, allow me to introduce you to your fellow patients. This is Scott Hall, Monty Brown, Ron Killings, and Curt Hennig.
1JITbbY.jpg

Sting gazes upon Scott Hall, his eyes glimmering with a misguided sense of purpose.

Yw8oqxT.jpg
*Voice Over* Scott Hall, once a warrior in the ring, now a man grappling with his own demons. He was lost, just like me, and I felt a kinship, a shared battle.

Monty Brown, a hulking figure, stands with a distant look in his eyes, his once powerful presence now diminished.

Yw8oqxT.jpg
*Voice Over* Monty Brown, a fierce beast who has lost his roar. In my delusion, I saw him as a wounded comrade, a potential ally in our quest for redemption.

Ron Killings mumbles to himself incoherently, lost in his own world.

Yw8oqxT.jpg
*Voice Over* Ron Killings, a tortured soul. His words were lost to me, but I saw the torment in his eyes. I believed that I could free him from his internal prison.

Curt Hennig, a once-perfect specimen, now displays the cracks of imperfection.

Yw8oqxT.jpg
*Voice Over* Curt Hennig, a man who once believed he was untouchable. Oh, how the mighty had fallen. In my distorted vision, I saw him as a fallen warrior in need of redemption.

Sting's voiceover fades as he reaches the end of the hallway, his delusional thoughts mingling with the reality of the ward.

Yw8oqxT.jpg
*Voice Over* I walked amongst them, convinced I was their savior. But perhaps the truth was, I was just another lost soul, desperately seeking purpose in this labyrinth of madness.

Sting's gaze lingers on his fellow patients, his heart heavy with the weight of his delusions. As Doctor Mitchell ushers him further into the ward, the other patients continue their silent struggle, unaware of the hero they have unwittingly gained.

Dr. James Mitchell sits at his desk in his dimly lit office, surrounded by an air of eerie silence. He’s mumbling to himself with pleasure about his finances, but it’s clear he’s not too good with the computer. Jeremy Borash, Nurse Francine and the unnamed staff-member (The Wall), with an uneasy tension, await the arrival of the new staff members. Conspicuous by his absence is the janitor, Joel Gertner. The door creaks open, revealing Dr. Tony Schiavone, the former Paul Bearer - Dr. Moody, and the towering attendant, Ron Harris.

*(whispering, with a hint of ominousness)* Where the hell is Joel? Whatever, I’m not going to wait on a janitor - he’ll have to meet everyone on his own time. Allow me to introduce our newest recruits. Dr. Tony Schiavone, Dr. Moody, and our new attendant, Ron Harris.

1JITbbY.jpg

Dr. Schiavone, clad in a tattered lab coat, exudes an aura of hidden knowledge. Dr. Moody, his eyes gleaming with an unsettling intensity, clutches a jar filled with a mysterious, pulsating substance. Ron Harris, an imposing figure, stands in silence, his presence looming like a dark shadow.

Dr. Schiavone joins us, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge of historical practices. His mastery of ancient medical rituals shall plunge us into the depths of understanding, where the line between sanity and madness blurs. Going forward, Dr. Schiavone will oversee the patients of Ward B.

1JITbbY.jpg

Dr. Schiavone's lips curl into a knowing smile as he gazes at Jeremy Borash and Nurse Francine. They exchange uneasy glances, their minds filled with apprehension.

Dr. Moody, a harbinger of the unknown, traverses the realms of the mind. Within his experiments lies the potential to unlock forbidden knowledge, at the risk of unraveling our own fragile sanity. Yes… Dr. Moody will serve to assist me in developing my… techniques. (chuckles) I have brought Dr. Moody here to oversee the treatment of the younger patients in Ward X.

1JITbbY.jpg

Dr. Moody's laughter echoes through the room, sending shivers down the spines of those present. He places the jar on a rusted metal table, the contents swirling with an otherworldly glow.

Lastly, Ron Harris, a silent guardian to protect us from the dangers that may be released from the fragile psyches that we look to repair. He bears the weight of unspeakable secrets, bound to protect us from the horrors that may lie within these walls.

1JITbbY.jpg

Ron Harris remains motionless, his stoic visage casting an imposing presence that seems to merge with the shadows.

Jeremy, Nurse Francine, embrace the knowledge that surrounds us, for it is within these walls that our true purpose resides. Welcome these enigmatic beings into our fold, and together, we shall explore the depths of the human psyche.

1JITbbY.jpg

Jeremy Borash and Nurse Francine exchange fearful glances, their minds filled with trepidation. They nod hesitantly, unable to deny the gravity of the situation.

7J2jZ2Q.jpg
(slightly trembling) Understood, Dr. Mitchell. We...welcome our new colleagues. May our collective endeavors yield the knowledge we seek.
BWGyhTc.jpg

(nervously) Yes, welcome...to our sanctuary. May we find the truth within the minds of our patients..

As the words hang in the air, an unsettling stillness envelops the room. Dr. Mitchell, Jeremy Borash, Nurse Francine, Dr. Schiavone, Dr. Moody, and Ron Harris embark on a journey into the abyss, where the boundary between sanity and madness blurs, and secrets lie waiting to be unearthed.

A solemn aura fills the funeral parlor as friends, family, and colleagues of the late Chief Ivan Koloff gather to pay their final respects. Commander Dusty Rhodes, a lovable and chubby cop, stands at the podium, ready to lead the service.

The room is filled with mourners, including several officers whom we are introduced to for the first time. Officer Joe Laurenitis, formerly known as Road Warrior Animal, now donning a police uniform, stands with a stoic expression. Officer Madison, a bright-eyed rookie, nervously adjusts his cap. Lieutenant Butch Reed, a shady character, lurks in the background, adding an air of mystery.

Commander Dusty Rhodes steps forward, his voice filled with a mix of determination and heartfelt emotion.

vKJYClP.jpg
Folks, friends, and good-hearted souls, today we gather here to remember Chief Ivan Koloff. He was more than just a cop; he was a friend, a mentor, and a man with a heart bigger than Texas. We lost a true legend, but his spirit will forever guide us.

A sense of melancholy hangs in the air as Dusty Rhodes addresses the mourners.

vKJYClP.jpg
But let me tell ya somethin', folks. We ain't gonna let his memory fade away like a donut at breakfast. We're gonna find the cowardly varmint who took Ivan away from us and make 'em pay for their dirty deeds.

Officer Joe Laurenitis, struggling with the memories of his wrestling days, tries to contain a smile at Dusty's endearing words. Officer Madison, looking up to his fellow officers, finds solace in Dusty's charismatic presence and determination. Lieutenant Butch Reed, observes the room with a calculating gaze. There's a hint of skepticism in his eyes, but he remains an enigma for now.

vKJYClP.jpg
I swear on the holy grail that we won't rest until we catch the scoundrel responsible. We're gonna fight for justice and keep Ivan's spirit alive. That's a promise I won't break.

A surge of determination spreads through the room as the officers and mourners rally behind Dusty's words. The weight of loss is lightened by his infectious charm and unwavering dedication.

vKJYClP.jpg
Let's honor Chief Koloff's memory by bringing his killer to justice. Together, we'll keep this city safe.

Inside an interview room a the police station, Commander Dusty Rhodes, a seasoned Southern cop with a weathered face, sits across the table from the arrested group—Chris Harris, James Storm, and Gail Kim. The room is tense, filled with an air of disbelief and confusion.

vKJYClP.jpg

(leaning forward) Well, well, well, what in tarnation do we have here? Y'all thought robbin' a bank was just a part of your tabletop cowboy game?

(nervously) Commander, you don't understand. We were just tryin' to progress in our game, "America's Most Wanted." It's all about bein' the baddest outlaws in the Wild West.

F8Kjc5r.jpg

(smiling cockily) Yippee Kay-Yay! We were just playin' our roles, Commander. Sorry 'bout your damned luck if you don't get it.

oXuKPKm.jpg

Commander Dusty's eyebrows furrow as he tries to make sense of the situation.

vKJYClP.jpg

(scratching his head) Son, I reckon your game ain't meant to spill over into the real world. Robbin' banks is a serious crime, not a way to advance in some make-believe cowboy game.

(defensively) But we didn't hurt nobody, Commander! We were just actin' out the storyline, tryin' to have some fun.

Obl9m1Q.jpg

Commander Dusty's expression softens slightly, his concern growing.

vKJYClP.jpg

(leaning back in his chair) Listen here, folks. I reckon somethin' ain't quite right with all of this. Maybe y'all been gettin' too deep into these characters, losin' sight of reality. This ain't how life works. I believe it's time for y'all to get some help.

(angry) Help? Ain't nothin' wrong with us! We were just playin' a game!

oXuKPKm.jpg
vKJYClP.jpg

(earnestly) Son, sometimes we gotta face the truth, even if it don't fit the picture we painted in our heads. I can see that this ain't no ordinary game for you. We'll get y'all some proper evaluation, figure out what's goin' on here.

James Storm scoffs but falls silent, realizing the gravity of the situation.

(muttering) Sorry 'bout your damned luck...

oXuKPKm.jpg

Commander Dusty stands up, a somber look in his eyes.

vKJYClP.jpg

We'll sort this out, but for now, y'all are goin' for an evaluation. It's for your own good.

As the officers escort the group out of the room, Gail Kim casts a worried glance at Commander Dusty, hoping for understanding.

However, Lynn's performance is marred by occasional flashbacks, a glimpse into his troubled past. The audience empathizes with Lynn's struggle as he pushes through the haunting memories. Alex Shelley, a relatively unknown wrestler, finds himself in the shadow of his more established opponents. Despite his smaller stature, Shelley proves his mettle, matching Hennig and Hall move for move. The audience begins to take notice, realizing that Shelley is no pushover and is here to make a name for himself. On the other side, Curt Hennig, a wrestler who once believed he was perfect, is struggling to recapture his former glory. His confidence shaken, Hennig's performance is marked by occasional missteps, hinting at his fall from perfection. The audience witnesses the vulnerability beneath Hennig's larger-than-life persona. Meanwhile, Scott Hall, portraying a recovering alcoholic, taps into his inner strength and resilience. Hall's determination shines through as he overcomes his personal battles, channeling his energy into the match.

In the climactic moment, Scott Hall seizes an opportunity and executes a devastating move on Jerry Lynn, securing the pinfall victory. The crowd gasps, acknowledging Hall's triumph over his formidable opponent. Hall's win serves as a testament to his strength and resilience, inspiring others who may be struggling with their own demons.

Hall pins Lynn in 23:19

A dimly lit warehouse serves as the backdrop for a brutal interrogation. Konnan, embracing his Hispanic thug persona to the fullest, looms over Joel Gertner. Hernandez and Apolo, Konnan's loyal enforcers, rain down a relentless barrage of blows on Joel, their fists pounding against his vulnerable body.

(grimacing in pain) Konnan, I swear on everything, I didn't rat you out! I had nothing to do with Chief Koloff trying to arrest you! You gotta believe me.

dexvrzu.jpg

Konnan's eyes blaze with a mix of anger and suspicion, his voice dripping with venom.

acxgFBK.jpg

(violently) You're gonna pay for what you made us do to Chief Koloff, Joel! Jarrett and me, no teniamos otra opcion! You did this!

Each strike from Hernandez and Apolo sends shockwaves of agony through Joel's battered frame, his cries for mercy barely audible beneath the onslaught.

(struggling) Please, Konnan! I'm innocent! Let me go, and we can figure out a way out of this!

dexvrzu.jpg

Konnan's face contorts with rage as he tightens his grip on Joel's collar, his voice trembling with fury.

acxgFBK.jpg

(furiously) Don't you dare lie to me, cabrón! You are a filthy rat, only around to do rat work for me! You can't help me, pendejo. Now, I gotta go figure out where is Jarrett? We gotta cover our tracks and get things back in line. We own this city now. Damnit! Jarrett should have been here by now.. where is that cracker?

Just as the tension reaches its breaking point, the atmosphere shifts. A charismatic figure emerges from the shadows, a mischievous smile playing on his lips and his fingertips toy with a 9mm.

(charismatically) Oh, you didn't know? It seems like you've got more on your plate than you bargained for, Konnan. Jarrett won't be joining you tonight. I'm afraid Mr. Jarrett will be seeing splinters for a long, long time.

hELgvFe.jpg

Konnan's gaze narrows, his attention captured by the enigmatic newcomer.

acxgFBK.jpg

(gritting his teeth) And who the hell are you, ese?

(smiling) You see, it's me, it's me, it's that Dee-Oh-Double G. You can call me BG James though, compadre. I just happened to be in the neighborhood. You're on my turf now, and you'll answer to me. You think that you can step on my field and start laying your own grass? So the way I sees it, you've already made one mess, and this auto-felating asshole is just going to leave a second mess you can't clean if you don't bounce now. Chief Koloff - that mess you and Jarrett made is my mess to sort out. So this love-stain over here, he's going to talk to me. It's either that or you best be prepared to see how fast your trigger finger's feeling. Mine's itchy...

Get it? Got it? Good.

hELgvFe.jpg

Trepidation fills the air as Konnan's girlfriend, Trinity, a nervous junkie, edges closer to the unfolding chaos, her voice quivering with fear.

(desperately) Konnan, por favor, stop this madness! No más! No one else needs to die tonight! I... can't take it. Let's get out of here for now!

ucaXl7Z.jpg

Konnan's gaze softens momentarily, his love for Trinity piercing through his violent façade. He takes a deep breath, torn between his thirst for vengeance and his devotion to her.

acxgFBK.jpg

(reluctantly) Fine, Trinity. For you, I'll back off. But this ain't over, BG. This is our game now - we taking over. You think some gringo can control this land? Nah bro, la revolucion is latino holmes. Nashville's days of country music are running out bro. Arriba la raza... I'll be seeing you around.

Trinity's eyes well up with relief as Konnan signals Hernandez and Apolo to cease their assault. He turns his back on Joel, pulling Trinity close as they prepare to leave the warehouse. Joel, battered and broken, watches their departure with a mix of gratitude and bewilderment.

(whispering) Thank you, BG. I'll... I'll take you where you need to be.

dexvrzu.jpg

Konnan's gaze flickers briefly to Joel before striding away, Trinity by his side. The echoes of violence and uncertainty resonate in the room, as the search for truth and justice continues.
