dark cloud Posted October 17, 2023 Share Posted October 17, 2023 TL;DR: One way to possible see if you can recover your save from perpetual crashes is to turn off finances for a period of time, to see if it'll let you advance the game. I've done this before and it often works, sometimes when starting new leagues or futzing with salary caps, there are problems I find with leagues moving forward. This has worked for me more than once. I've found over the ages of playing this game most of the db errors can be solved by 1) saving often before you have a crash (I will save every day during the free agency period to make sure I don't lose a save) and 2) seeing if you can fix a math problem. One other alternative is after you add new leagues or do a bunch of tinkering, to save an alternate version of your league so that if you do end up crashing a lot, you're able to get back to your last save point Just some .02 from another player of this long dead, but wonderful game.
