Kimberly
Something new that we will be doing with the long awaited return of a real-life calendar is to present our own internal calendar. These calendars will only be updated if we add events throughout the month (like a pop up special house show or something), otherwise, they will be part of our monthly news postings. Without further ado, here is April's WWE Event Calendar: Edited August 10 by Kimberly

Kimberly
A quick recap video highlights Stephanie McMahon’s offer to Shawn Michaels and Indi Hartwell to defend the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. We then see DIY successfully winning the round robin to earn a show at the World Tag Team Championship. This is the final stop for the superstars on Raw on the Road to Wrestlemania. Welcome to Monday Night Raw! April 1, 2024 Barclay's Center Brooklyn, NY The Judgment Day comes down to the ring and each gets a mic. Balor says that Seth Rollins has seriously misjudged him. He thinks Finn won’t accept an unsanctioned match at WrestleMania? Well here’s a news flash, that sort of match will allow Finn to finish the job he started. A chair to the head? Legal. An extension cord wrapped around your throat? Legal. Hell, a flamethrower…all legal. He says he happily accepts. Priest is next. He talks a bit about his background, growing up on the streets, and like Finn he’s adept at using whatever he can get his hands on. So sorry to say to Big E and even his tag partners tonight, but that Intercontinental Championship is getting pulled down by the Archer of Infamy and the Judgment Day. Dom tries to speak but is heavily boo’d for a few minutes. He finally breaks through and says WrestleMania is in his blood. Unfortunately it’s blood he shares with his deadbeat dad. Last year didn’t go his way but this year will be different. This year he will end the career of the so-called greatest luchador ever and then he will be respected as the greatest Mysterio ever! Finally Rhea gets on the mic. She says that although Stephanie McMahon has decreed that she, nor Becky and Ronda can fight ahead of WrestleMania, it does the two of them no favors. Rhea is just saving up all her spite, her vengeance, and her disdain for the two of them and when she gets in the ring, she’s going to explode and win back her title. Because Mami is always on top, and so is the Judgment Day. COMMERCIAL BREAK ALPHA ACADEMY VS LUDWIG KAISER AND GIOVANI VINCI A back and forth match, but Gable’s technical prowess and Otis’ power overwhelm the former Imperium Members and the match comes to an end with Otis hitting a Caterpillar elbow drop on Vinci. RESULT: ALPHA ACADEMY WINS BY PINFALL Backstage the World Tag Team Champions are face to face with their WrestleMania challengers. It’s tense but respectful. Finally Sami offers a hand to Gargano, who shakes it. Ciampa holds out his hand to Owens who is having a hard time playing nice. Finally KO shakes it, but none of the four want to be the first to break either handshake and the mood of the scene turns hostile and competitive. Byron Saxton is standing by with Randy Orton. He asks Orton if he’s worried about Matt Riddle’s new attitude ahead of their match at WrestleMania. Orton says he knows the real Riddle and this is just an act. At WrestleMania he’ll re-introduce Riddle to the three most danger…… Riddle flies into the scene with a flying forearm and blasts Orton from behind. He mounts Orton on the ground and begins raining lefts and rights. Orton shoves him off and hurries in but catches a knee under the jaw and is seeing stars. Officials come in and stop Riddle as a dazed Orton escapes. It’s clear Riddle wants to keep fighting.Orton has escaped tonight, but there will be no escaping Matt Riddle this Saturday at Wrestlemania! COMMERCIAL BREAK TRISH STRATUS VS NIKKI CROSS VS KAIRI SANE As NXT Women’s Champion Indy Hartwell sits at ringside, these three different styles mesh well in this match. Sane brings the fast paced action while Cross’ manic attacks keep both opponents on the defense. Stratus uses her veteran skills to avoid being the target of most of Nikki and Kairi’s attacks. With Kairi and Nikki fighting on the outside, the match takes a turn when Nikki charges Kairi who is resting by the time keeper and when Sane moves, Nikki crashes through the barricade like a psychotic cannonball. Now it’s time for Kairi and Trish to do battle and they trade the advantage back and forth. Kairi is feeling it and floors Trish with a snap suplex and goes to the top but when he jumps off with an Insane Elbow, Trish rolls out of the way. When Kairi crashes, Trish moves in and goes for the pin, hooking both her neck and her leg for the three count. RESULT: TRISH STRATUS WINS BY PINFALL AND WILL CHALLENGE INDI HARTWELL FOR THE NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP AT WRESTLEMANIA Trish is in the ring as Indi leaves her ringside seat and enters the ring. They’re face to face and Hartwell raises the NXT Women’s Championship in the air. Trish respectfully nods, knowing this may be her last chance to wear gold. NXT’s Women’s Champion gets the biggest opportunity of her lifetime, a chance to defend her title on the biggest stage possible against a Hall of Famer. It’s Trish vs Indi for the NXT Women’s Title at Wrestlemania!!!!! Byron Saxton is with Seth Rollins, who is very pleased about Finn Balor accepting the unsanctioned match challenge. Rollins says he’s designed a great plan for the match and it includes pain, suffering, and making Balor wish he’d never heard the name Seth Rollins. But that isn’t good enough. No, for what Finn did, he’s going to have to get a little more creative, a little more out of the box. When Byron asks him what that means, Seth assures him he’ll find out at WrestleMania. As Seth finishes his interview we see Becky Lynch pass behind him. She clearly smacks him on the rear with a smirk as she’s headed to the ring. From behind, Ronda Rousey pops out and goes to attack Becky, but Shayna Baszler is there to wrap her up around the waist and stop her. Ronda is furious but Shayna reminds her of Stephanie McMahon’s decree and she’ll lose her place in the match. Ronda hates it but settles with a scowl, understanding her friend just helped. COMMERCIAL BREAK Becky is in the ring when we come back from break. She tells us that if it was up to her she’d have kicked Rhea and Ronda’s heads in already and then she could take it easy at WrestleMania, but that’s okay because on the biggest stage, the Man becomes Big Time Becks and she damn sure isn’t worried about Mami or Ronda, but Stephanie McMahon…now that’s someone to be concerned about. Because if history is any indicator, a McMahon cannot be trusted. So let her be crystal clear. Stephanie McMahon, if you dare to screw the Man, I will make your life a living hell and that is a pure bred Irish promise! COMMERCIAL BREAK PIPER NIVEN AND ZOEY STARK VS LIV MORGAN AND RAQUEL RORIGUEZ Liv and Raquel start off hot and between Raquel’s power and Liv’s quickness they have Zoey on her heels. Things are going completely in their favor and every time Niven tries to tag in, they stop it from happening. The crowd is really into this payback. Liv tags in Raquel again before grabbing Rodriguez by the hair and yanking her down! Raquel stares wide-eyed at her friend and partner as Liv leaves the ring and walks away. Raquel stands in the corner, asking Liv what’s happening and why she did that. What she doesn’t see is Piper Niven finally getting tagged in but she feels it when she’s crushed in the corner by an Avalanche. Niven bounds off the ropes and finishes her off with a splash, all while Morgan walks to the back with a big smile. RESULT: PIPER NIVEN AND ZOEY STARK Vic Joseph and Corey Graves celebrate the seventh and final member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024, Fit Finlay! DYLN MCKAY VS REX STEINER Steiner looks focused and vicious in this WrestleMania warm up. Poor McKay doesn’t stand a chance as Steiner overpowers him from start to finish before locking in a family favorite, the Steiner Recliner for the win. RESULT: REX STEINER WINS BY SUBMISSION Vic Joseph and Corey Graves run down the final Raw-related WrestleMania card for this weekend. Wrestlemania is ONLY 5 DAYS AWAY and will air exclusively on Netflix! COMMERCIAL BREAK THE NEW DAY VS THE MIZ, BRONSON REED, AND DAMIAN PRIEST Woods takes the early beating, followed by Kofi. New Day turns it around and starts a flurry of quick tag double teams on Miz. Reed gets in and begins to dominate but then Big E gets the tag and we see a true power showdown. This lasts several minutes with neither getting an advantage. Woods blind tags in and both he and Big E stun Reed backwards with a double dropkick, but when he reels back, Priest tags in unseen. Woods is ready for Reed to clear the cobwebs when Priest turns him around and hits South of Heaven. He then grabs Reed and throws him into New Day’s corner, clotheslining both Kofi and Big E off the apron. Priest makes the cover and scores the win. RESULT: THE MIZ, BRONSON REED, AND DAMIAN PRIEST WIN BY PINFALL Stephanie McMahon is walking backstage towards the ring, contract in hand. Cena and Gunther will be face to face one last time before WrestleMania and it happens….next! COMMERCIAL BREAK Stephanie McMahon is in the ring and she introduces the Champion and his challenger. She hypes their ‘generational’ match at WrestleMania, promising it to be something we always wanted but never thought we’d get. Gunther signs the deal first, and after he does, he cuts a promo on Cena, telling him he hopes he’s ready for the pain and anguish which is coming to him. Gunther promises to break Cena once and for all. Cena, for his part, is stoic as he listens to Gunther, before simply asking if he’s done. When Gunther nods, Cena turns the contract around and signs. Both men stand and loom over the table as Stephanie holds up the contract proclaiming it to be official. Cena turns and waves to the fans and that is when Gunther quickly moves around Stephanie and plants a knee in Cena’s back before slapping on the sleeper. Graves reminds us that he put Cena to sleep with the same move on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cena is fading before he rises up and turns, scooping Gunther up on his shoulders and delivering an Attitude Adjustment through the table. Stephanie’s jaw is on the floor as Cena looks down at his challenger and lets him know that he can’t see him. Will the Champ still be here next week for the WWE Draft? Or will a new era reign over Raw? It’s Gunther vs John Cena for the Heavyweight Championship of the World at Wrestlemania!!!!!! Good night from Brooklyn!

Pipers Pit
A video of last week begins with the brawl between Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair and closes with Cody Rhodes interrupting Roman Reigns and the ending shot of the show with Cody in the ring and a troubled looking Reigns in the aisle. April Week 1 Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia, PA “Alright, Philadelphia, what do you wanna talk about? I’ll tell you what’s on my mind. Roman Reigns. Last year’s WrestleMania and how it ended is seared into my memory. But here’s the thing. I cannot take away anything from Roman. He transformed himself from the muscle of the Shield to the Big Dog and now to the Tribal Chief. He has a title run the likes of which we haven’t seen in decades. He is a first ballot Hall of Fame, and by the way congratulations to Mr. Heyman later tonight. But you can’t take any of that away. You can, however, question how he’s kept that title. How many times has his family gotten involved? How many times has Mr. Heyman gotten involved? The fact of the matter is at WrestleMania 39, I should have walked out as the Undisputed WWE Champion. This year we keep hearing finish the story. It’s on my mind, if I said it wasn’t I’d be a liar. My father taught me not to lie. Roman I’m sure you father, another Hall of Famer taught you the same when you were a little boy. So Roman, I want you to listen closely because this is the God’s honest truth. I will beat you on Sunday and I will do it on my own, with no help. Do you have the balls to say the same thing?” Cody hands the mic away as his music plays him out. In his locker room Carmelo Hayes is approached by MVP who tells him that he knows he’s looking at the next United States Champion and he would be honored to represent him. Hayes says he appreciates what MVP has been trying to do but he’s his own man. MVP says he thinks that’s a mistake but he can respect that. They shake hands and MVP leaves, but Hayes seems to be having second thoughts. CEDRIC ALEXANDER VS PETE DUNNE It’s all Dunne as he shows off what he can do with his normal brutalizing offensive set of moves. The Bruiserweight is in full effect and he ends the match with a new finisher by jumping off the second rope, grabbing his opponent and coming down with a DDT. RESULT: PETE DUNNE WINS BY PINFALL Kayla Braxton is with Bobby Lashley. He says he cannot wait to get his hands on AJ Styles tomorrow. He knows the no-good brothers will get involved one way or another but he’s got something special for them. Tomorrow, AJ Styles will learn that being phenomenal doesn’t make you almighty! The LWO is in their locker room. Rey says that he knows they disagree with his decision to risk his career to save his son, especially after all Dom has said and done, but they know how important family is to him. Santos puts a hand on Rey’s shoulder and tells him they do know, and they’re not worried, they know this is not the end of his great career. Rey thanks them and says if the worst happens, he wants them to keep the LWO running strong, which they all promise. BAYLEY AND CORA JADE VS IYO SKY AND GIGI DOLIN Jade and Bayley show cohesion in the ring and keep their opponents off guard by keeping Dolin in their corner. Bayley is directing the traffic and everything is going their way until Iyo gets the tag and takes over the match. When it’s Bayley and Iyo the former Damage Ctrl friends go at it as if a title is on the line. Iyo gets the upper hand but as she’s about to hit her moonsault, Cora jumps off the apron and pulls the top rope down, causing Iyo to lose her balance. Bayley hits a Bayley to Belly and it's enough for the win. RESULT: BAYLEY AND CORA JADE WIN BY PINFALL Michael Cole and Wade Barrett run down the Hall of Fame nominees and hype that it will take place, after Smackdown, live on Netflix. Backstage, Logan Paul is in full freakout mode concerning his upcoming triple threat title defense. Mcafee finally gets him to take a breath and reminds him that they’re the Brand. That means they have two things. They have the numbers, and they always have a plan. Logan nods, feeling better as they begin to scheme. SANTOS ESCOBAR AND CRUZ DEL TORO VS PRETTY DEADLY The LWO begins hot and although Pretty Deadly are some of the best tag team specialists in WWE, they can’t do much once Santos gets the tag and runs circles around them, finally ending the match with a huricanrana while hooking the legs. RESULT: SANTOS ESCOBAR AND CRUZ DEL TORO WIN BY PINFALL LA Knight is in his locker room. He says that WrestleMania will finally be the culmination of years of blood, sweat, and tears. He will walk in the Megastar and he will walk out the United States Champion. And then everyone will know whose game it is….(L…A….Knight…YEAH!) YEAH! Michael Cole and Wade Barrett replay the scene last week between Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair. Cole notes that while they are being kept apart tonight, they will both be attending the Hall of Fame later. NO COUNTOUT MICHIN VS TAMINA The issues between these two aren’t settled and with the match’s stipulation they spend a large amount of time fighting around ringside, up the aisle, and then back to the ring. Tamina batters Michin into a sitting position before kicking her in the face. Tamina goes up for the Superfly Splash but when she soars, Michin rolls away. Tamina is spent and when she forces herself up to her hands and knees, Michin jumps off the second rope and drops an elbow on the back of her neck for the win. RESULT: MICHIN WINS BY PINFALL Michael Cole and Wade Barrett run down Smackdown’s matches for this weekend’s WrestleMania. ILJA DRAGUNOV VS AJ STYLES W/THE GOOD BROTHERS A great back and forth through two guys who can really lay in their stuff. Dragunov doesn’t have any backup and suffers throughout the match by interference. He’s got Styles lined up for Torpedo Moscow, but Anderson jumps on the apron. The ref turns to him, allowing Gallows to grab Dragunov’s ankle. Now distracted, Ilja doesn’t spot Styles running at him until it’s too late and he catches a knee under the jaw. Dragunov is stunned, and falls victim to the Styles Clash. RESULT: AJ STYLES WINS BY PINFALL The OC aren’t happy just winning the match, as all three begin beating down Dragunov, tying up his arms in the ropes and taking cheap shots. This doesn’t last long. Bobby Lashley runs down to the ring. He delivers a standing spinebuster to Anderson and then clotheslines Gallows over the ropes. He turns on Styles who quickly abandons the ring. They’re pointing fingers, both promising to destroy the other this weekend. The Bloodline are all talking amongst themselves when Roman stands from the couch, still troubled. “Wiseman, do you think I can beat Cody Rhodes on my own?” “Yes of course my Tribal Chief.” “Jimmy, Jey, Solo, do I need you to beat Cody Rhodes?” “Uce, you the Head of the Table, you got this.” Roman nods. “This Sunday, I’m going to end Cody Rhodes, end his damn story, and prove that I am the GOAT of this industry…and I’ll do it alone. All of you are banned from ringside.” Roman is almost snarling but behind him, they all are exchanging worried looks as the show ends.

Pipers Pit
Victoria Monet opens the show by singing America the Beautiful The Immortal Hulk Hogan brings the crowd to its feet as he makes his way to the ring. He welcomes everyone around the world to the fortieth WrestleMania and reminds us it was thirty-seven years ago when he lifted the Eight Wonder of the World up into the air and sent him crashing down, almost sending Pontiac Michigan down into the center of the earth, brother. But WrestleMania is about more that just that moment. There have been titanic title matches, there have been moments etched in history. And you better believe….there was THE Streak. The crowd goes insane as the Undertaker makes his way down to the ring, shaking Hogan’s hand when they come face to face. Taker agrees with everything Hogan just said but there’s one thing missing. There’s a lot of people who were in this ring for WrestleManias who aren’t here anymore. People like the Macho Man and Ms. Elizabeth, Mr. Perfect, Eddie Guerrero, Sherri Martel, Dusty Rhodes, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Chyna and the list goes on. They are missed but they live on in the memories they crafted in this ring and in the hearts of the fans. He then tells the audience that they keep the legends alive forever. Hogan then finishes by asking what’cha gonna do when WrestleMania runs wild on you?! APRIL 6, 2024 LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD PHILADELPHIA, PA Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcome us to WrestleMania and talk about the moment we just experienced. They hype tonight’s matches before sending us to our first video package. A video is shown hyping the history between WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair. The match showcases Charlotte’s tactical offense versus Bianca’s power and both are on full display. While Charlotte tries to wear down Bianca with every chop and specific focus on her left leg, Belair spends her time hitting several power moves, including a press slam to punish Flair. Bianca scoops up Charlotte for a KOD, but Charlotte lands on her feet and stumbles backwards into the referee, knocking him out of the ring. Instantly, Bianca dropkicks Charlotte, sending her into a corner where she drops down in a seated position. Neither woman sees a new face at ringside. Bayley has entered behind the time keeper and grabs a chair. She slides into the ring behind Bianca and slams it into her back, knocking her onto the mat face-first. Now she turns on Charlotte, who holds up a hand, but there’s no place for her to go as Bayley raises the chair. Bianca begins to rise and Charlotte points at her. Suddenly Bayley swings the chair and catches Bianca in the ribs with the edge. Bayley drops the chair and grabs Belair, hitting a Rose plant onto the chair. She turns to Charlotte who is pulling herself to her feet. Charlotte points to the referee and Bayley ditches to the outside and rouses him, putting him back in the ring. Charlotte makes the cover and gets the three count. RESULT: CHARLOTTE FLAIR WINS BY PINFALL AND RETAINS THE WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP Charlotte and Bayley reunite on the outside of the ring and embrace. As Charlotte holds her title up, Bayley rubs salt in the wound, trash talking Bianca who is still in the ring. The Judgment Day are in their locker room and they want everyone to know that tonight is the night they run WrestleMania. Finn will finish the job on Seth Rollins. Priest will become the Intercontinental Champion. Dirty Dom will retire his deadbeat dad. And Mami will be on top again when she reclaims her Women’s World Championship! A video package relates how Big E made a triumphant return at Survivor Series to beat Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. We then see the three qualifying matches to set up tonight’s TLC match. Miz and Reed form a quick partnership and Big E takes an early beating from all three until Miz and Reed turn on Priest. While Reed handles business in the ring, the Miz pulls a table from under the ring and sets it up, telling Reed to put Priest through it, but as he picks up Damian, Reed is attacked from behind. Miz leaves the table and slides back in, to even the sides. Big E and Miz both head to the outside and slide ladders in and begin dueling with them. Priest turns and clotheslines Miz to the floor and Reed does the same to Big E. They exchange glances and begin setting up both ladders. Reed and Priest begin climbing up the two ladders side by side. When they reach the top, they begin leveling chops at one another and both teeter as if they’ll fall. Reed goes for one more but Priest catches his arm in one hand, then grabs Reed by the throat with the other. With the crowd on their feet, Priest delivers a jumping South of Heaven chokeslam off the ladder and they both land in a heap. The Miz slides in and sees the carnage and looks up at the title above the ring. He begins climbing but just as he gets to the top, he sees Big E. The champ begins lifting the ladder and tilting it backwards. The Miz is panicked, begging him to stop but he finally loses his grip and falls over the rope and through the table which had been set up. Big E rights the ladder and climbs up to claim his title. RESULT: BIG E RETAINS THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP A replay is shown, recapping how Big E won and retained his title. The Bloodline is in their lounge. The Usos are psyching up Solo who looks more focused than usual. Roman stands off the couch and calls Solo over as the others watch. He looks into the eyes of his enforcer and utters three words. “Leave no doubt.” Solo nods and heads out. The tension of the room is thick as Roman returns to his seat. Ronda Rousey is warming up with Shayna Baszler when Stephanie McMahon walks into the locker room. McMahon asks to speak to Rousey privately. Ronda nods to Shayna, who leaves. Stephanie says she knows they’ve had their issues over the years but they have one thing in common. They hate Becky Lynch. Stephanie also says she knows Ronda wants that big contract and tonight is the last night of her deal, but she has an offer. Win or lose, Ronda will get more money than she’s ever dreamed and a new contract…..if Becky does not walk out with the Women’s World Championship. Ronda almost laughs but shakes it off. “You got a deal.” Stephanie smiles and leaves Ronda to continue her preparation. Both men look ready for war but it’s Solo who flies out of the corner and hits a jumping knee under Lee’s chin as the match begins. Lee reels back into the corner and Solo is all over him with strikes, and a solid super kick. Lee shoves Solo away to catch his breath but the Bloodline’s enforcer gives no quarter, continuing the attacks, choking Keith in the corner. Solo backs up before kicking Lee straight in the chest and knocking him into a seated position. That is followed by a running hip check to Lee’s head which seems to knock him out for a moment. Solo props him up and does it again. Now Lee’s eyes are open but he’s not there. The referee is warning Solo as he props up Lee again and hits a third hip check on his defenseless opponent. Graves remarks that Sikoa is taking Roman Reigns’ marching orders to heart. Solo drags Lee to the middle of the ring and sits him up. Standing over him, he delivers a flurry of Samoan Spikes before allowing Keith to drop to the mat and pin him in one of the most brutal and one sided WrestleMania matches in history. RESULT: SOLO SIKOA WINS BY PINFALL We see a replay of the surprisingly one-sided and brutal match. We then see a live shot of Solo sneering as he raises a finger in the air. A video is shown on the tron reminding everyone what it was like when they went EXTREME. As the video ends we hear the live crowd chanting ECW. A video recaps how Finn Balor injured Seth Rollins, Rollins’ return, and the setup for tonight’s Unsanctioned match. Balor attacks Rollins from behind on the way to the ring and this unsanctioned match is underway! Balor slams Rollins head first into the railing and kicks him in the ribs all the way down to the ring. Balor removes the top section of stairs and wants to use it but Rollins dropkicks it into his face. Rollins goes on the attack, delivering a falcon arrow onto the stairs’ base. He picks up Balor and rolls him into the ring. Rollins is beginning to climb onto the apron when the crowd begins to boo and soon we see why. Balor’s Judgment Day friends are on their way to the ring but the crowd goes from booing to cheering a moment later. The Dudleys are here! Priest and Dom turn in the aisle and the four men begin to brawl with the Dudleys getting the better of it, and beating them all the way backstage. With the interference taken care of, Rollins gets back in and commences to have a lengthy wrestling match with Balor. Both men get in large amounts of offense. When Balor gains the upper hand he slides out of the ring and pulls a large piece of plywood with rings of barbed wire attached to it. Plenty of ‘ECW’ chants ring out. He sets up the board in the ring and leans it against the corner. He whips Rollins into the corner but Rollins reverses it. Balor puts on the brakes right before he collides with the barbed wire. He turns and Rollins spears him into the barbed wire as a large ‘Holy Shit!’ chant rings out. The referee and a ringside doctor have to attend to the men to get them loose and both are bleeding. Balor is on his feet first and goes to the top for the Coup d’Grace but Rollins crotches him and then delivers a superplex into another falcon arrow. He makes the cover. 1 2 Kickout. Rollins wipes the blood from his eyes and goes to the outside. He pulls out a kendo stick, glances at it, and pulls out another, looks at them, and pulls out a large black sack. He wears out one kendo stick to splinters across Balor’s back. He then wears out the second one across his chest. Now Rollins looks at the bag. He reaches in and pulls out a handful of thumbtacks. But he stops. An idea crosses his face as he looks down at Balor, still writhing in pain. Rollins kneels down, opens the bag and puts it around Balor’s head! He then backs off a few paces. Balor gets up, feigning blindness as he fumbles around the ring trying to get the bag off his head. Rollins waits for an opening and hits a sling blade. Balor’s body language screams in pain but he gets up out of instinct into another sling blade. This time he stays down, but rolls onto his stomach. As he begins to stand, Rollins hits the stomp, crushing Balor’s head into the mat….and the tacks in the bag. Rollins makes the cover. 1 2 3. RESULT: SETH ROLLINS WINS BY PINFALL The camera catches the sight of Finn Balor still flat on his back as Rollins sits on the apron. He looks exhausted, blood running down the side of his face, but is smiling as the crowd sings his song. We go to a pre-taped vignette from the Snake Pit. Asuka stands emotionless next to a pit of bubbling black goo. To the side stands Jake the Snake Roberts. He tells us that the pathway of darkness has many levels, the next more sinister than the last. Asuka is ready for her next step. She steps into the goo and as she moves forward she sinks further and further down and as she does, he prays over her. “In the name of the darkness, and the entropy, and the unholy heart.” Her head sinks below the goo until there’s nothing left. Jake smiles. “She’ll be back….trust me.” Byron Saxton is standing by with Becky Lynch. He asks her how she prepares for a match with opponents like Ronda Rousey and Rhea Ripley. She says it’s not that difficult. Punch that one, then punch the other. Break one’s arm, then break the other’s. And who knows, maybe the guest referee will step out of line and she’ll get to have some real fun! No rules means a very dangerous Man. Two of the best teams in the WWE and who are very familiar with each other don’t hold back in this. Both hit their normal offense and there’s several close falls but the other side always manages to break up the pin. The Usos look like they’re in trouble as Jimmy is getting worn out by the Profits’ quick tags and double teams. When Jey gets the tag he runs right into a spinebuster from Dawkins which almost gets a three count. The Profits are feeling it, and the crowd is on their side as they draw closer to capturing the titles. The Usos dig deep and put Dawkins on his back with a double superkick, but a second later, Montez slingshots himself with the top rope and crossbody blocks them both. The referee is trying to get control and get Ford out of the ring when Jey gathers one of the title belts and whacks Dawkins in the face with it before Ford tackles him. Jimmy climbs to the top and hits an Uso splash and as Montex fights Jey the ref counts to three. RESULT: THE USOS WIN BY PINFALL AND RETAIN THE WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Usos claim their championship belts and celebrate as the Street Profits look broken and disappointed in the ring. A video reminds us that the 2024 WWE Draft begins on the next RAW, this Monday Night! A highlight video package of the Mysterio family civil war is shown. Dom cheap shots Rey before the bell and holds the early advantage. He trash talks his father as he takes out all of his frustrations, but the Hall of Famer won’t stay down whenever he tries to go for a pin. Dom goes to the top, gives the Eddie shimmy, but when he goes for the frog splash, Rey moves and Dom crashes. It’s Rey’s turn to get some payback and as he lays into his son, he’s nearly pleading with him to come home and end this but Dominik is obstinate and at one point spits in Rey’s face. Rey’s had enough! He begins laying into his son, holding nothing back. The referee even tries to intervene, but Rey shrugs him off and keeps raining down punches as Dom tries to cover up. Dom finally yells that he’s had enough and he’s sorry. Rey stops, only now realizing how exhausted he is, looks ready to cry and he opens his arms to his son. Dom takes the moment and shoves Rey back into the ref. The ref falls down for a moment and Dom straight up kicks his dad right in the balls. Rey drops down to his knees, and Dom kicks him in the face. With Rey down, Dom goes to the top again and hits the frog splash for the win. RESULT: DOMINIK MYSTERIO WINS BY PINFALL (REY MYSTERIO MUST RETIRE) As the moment sinks in, Dominik leaves ringside, allowing Rey to have his moment. There are more than a few tears in the crowd as Rey takes a deep breath and thanks the fans on each side of the ring. He is emotional but keeps it together for the most part as he solemnly removes his mask, kisses it, and lays it in the middle of the ring. The fans chant ‘Thank You Rey’ as he walks up the aisle and disappears into the back. Michael Cole and Corey Graves run down tomorrow’s line up for night two of WrestleMania XL. A hard-hitting match that sees both sides get in equal offense. William Regal at ringside is the catalyst for AOP as they follow his orders and gain the advantage on Holland. Finally, Sheamus gets the tag and shows both Rezar and Akam why he’s a former world champion. He hits a Brogue kick on Akam, knocking him off the apron. He tries the same to Rezar, but he misses, and Sheamus almost gets decapitated with a lariat. Holland and Akam begin fighting at ringside, ending with Akam clotheslining him over the barrier. He returns to the ring and gets the tag. Rezar picks up Sheamus in a gut wrench, and Akam comes off the second rope with a leg drop on the back of Sheamus’s head as he’s whirled around in the suplex. Graves calls it the Cliffhanger and it gets the win. RESULT: THE AOP WIN BY PINFALL Stephanie McMahon makes her entrance clad in a referee’s shirt and stops half way down the aisle, looks into the camera, and tells us that what happens tonight will be best for business. She continues into the ring as we cut away. A video is shown to recap the history between the three women in the main event and the recent involvement of Managing Director Stephanie McMahon. Before the match, Lynch gets in Stephanie’s face, warning her not to screw her and McMahon plays innocent, telling Becky to worry about her opponents. Ripley and Rousey begin with a quick double team on Becky and fight as she might, she can’t overcome the two of them. Ronda quickly applies an arm bar and Rhea breaks it up. This begins an argument between the two heels and now they’re fighting each other. This gives Becky time to recover. Ronda lights up Rhea with some heavy body shots before flinging her with a judo toss. Unfortunately for Ronda, Becky tackles her from behind and begins trying to wrench her left arm out of the socket. Stephanie looks panicked and she distracts Becky, ordering her to release the hold, long enough for Rhea to kick Becky in the head. Rhea goes for the pin and Becky kicks out just ahead of Stephanie’s fast count. Rhea continues her attacks and thanks to Stephanie’s coaching, she and Ronda are back on the same page. Ronda rains rights and lefts down at Lynch, then picks her up and holds her up. Rhea takes a run at them to kick Becky in the face but she moves and Rhea kicks Ronda, sending her out of the ring. Becky begins going off on Rhea with a flurry of offense and Rhea is stunned. Becky hits a flurry of forearms and delivers a Man Handle Slam. Becky pops up and leans against the ropes to catch her breath and that’s when Stephanie digs into her pocket and moves in, handcuffing Becky to the top rope. Becky realizes a second too late what’s happened and goes for Steph but she can’t reach her. Becky is demanding the key….which Stephanie shows her, then throws it out into the audience. “You bitch!” Becky’s eyes are wide with hatred as she glares at the Managing Director. With Becky neutralized, Ronda gets back in the ring and begins to pick Rhea apart, focusing on her arm. It’s now effectively a one on one match, with Lynch trying everything she can think of to free herself. Ronda smirks at the crowd as she sizes up Rhea for the kill shot, but Rhea ducks Ronda’s spinning backhand and headbutts her in the face. Ronda is woozy as Rhea grabs her and delivers the Riptide. She makes the cover, with one middle finger pointed at Becky, who is just out of reach to break it up for the win. RESULT: RHEA RIPLEY WINS BY PINFALL AND IS THE NEW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION Becky is almost pulling her arm out of the socket trying to reach out to grab McMahon as Rhea is given the title and raises it over her head with fireworks going off. As Rhea celebrates Stephanie turns to Becky and waves goodbye with Lynch promising payback with every fiber of her being.
Kimberly
OOC Note from Piper and I: When creating this game world and running this version of WWE, we know that we're not *actually* running the company. It's fake, we know it. But some moments are a little....real. Like when we came up with our list for our version of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024. And when we thought of who should or should not be on our list, it was centered on a true desire to honor these peformers. And the fact that the sad news of today is coming the same time that we're doing our Wrestlemania and our Hall of Fame is heartbreakingly ironic. For those of you who do not know, "Sycho" Sid Eudy (or Sid Vicious outside WWE) lost his battle with cancer. For a time, Sid truly was the...man....who....ruled....the....world. And for us, we would like to remember his legacy and honor him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family, friends and fans. It really is, I remember being a kid and being legitimately terrified of him. I thought that he really was psycho and scary. When we were discussing names, we could not believe that he wasn't already in, it felt like such an obvious choice. And that was a few months ago. For him to go in for our version of it, as our way of saying thank you for the memories, it was our way of correcting it.
Pipers Pit
Lainey Wilson opens the show singing the national anthem. The Rock comes out to a thunderous pop. He does his usual corner to corner routine before collecting a microphone. He welcomes everyone to night two of WrestleMania and says if you thought last night was big, just wait to be electrified by the action tonight. Rock reflects back on all the WrestleMania’s he was in over the years and as great as this is, something’s missing. The roof, if there was one, comes off the building as Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music hits and he comes down to the ring. He and the Rock share cautious glances as Austin goes from corner to corner. Finally he gets a mic and they meet face to face. Austin says that Rock is damn right, there was something missing…..beer! Austin motions for some beers to be thrown and gives Rock one. Rock says before they drink he wants Austin’s word that he will not give him a stunner and pour beer all over the Rock’s $5000 shirt. Austin says he swears, cross his heart. They tap cans and drink before laughing and sharing a hug. Austin says it’s time to start night two and that’s the bottom line cause Stone Cold, and the Rock, say so! APRIL 7, 2024 LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD PHILADELPHIA, PA Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcome us to WrestleMania night two. They talk briefly about last night’s happenings. A video recap is shown of the build for the World Heavyweight Championship match between John Cena and Gunther. From Gunther’s ascension as Intercontinental Champion and then the Royal Rumble, to John Cena’s record-breaking return to action, we watch how two generational talents have been set on a collision course. Cena and Gunther are evenly matched in the early going and the champion shows he’s still one of the strongest men on the roster, surprising Gunther with a series of clotheslines before sending him over the top. When they resume, Gunther gives Cena a taste of his own power, chopping the champion unmercifully to the point we see Cena’s chest is bleeding. Gunther presses his advantage with strong kicks and begins to break Cena down with a series of suplexes and back breakers but Cena kicks out of every pin attempt. Gunther berates Cena, calling him ‘the past’ and ordering him to surrender. Cena takes it as a challenge and begins making a comeback. Cena begins going through his usual offensive set and Gunther is on his heels. A few jumping shoulder blocks followed by the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Gunther pops up, staggered, and Cena scoops him up for the Attitude Adjustment, but Gunher slips out and applies the sleeper. Cena is struggling and can’t get to the ropes. In a last second gasp, Cena runs forwards towards the turnbuckles and jumps up, pushing back and flipping to pin Gunther, a throwback to Hart and Piper. Gunther is forced to release him to avoid losing. They both get up quickly but Gunther stops Cena in his tracks with another crushing chop. He grabs the champ and delivers his powerbomb, then another, then another. After the third, Gunther makes the cover and gets the three in the middle of the ring. RESULT: GUNTHER WINS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL Gunther is handed the title and he stares down at Cena with disgust before raising it high in the air. The GOAT has fallen and the era of the Ring General has begun at Wrestlemania! We’re shown footage from earlier today as the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his challenger Cody Rhodes arrive at Lincoln Financial Field. Will Cody Rhodes finally finish his story or will the Head of the Table remain at the top of the mountain? We will find out tonight. A video is shown recapping the history between the Phenomenal AJ Styles and the Almighty Bobby Lashley. Lashley wants a piece of Styles and it leads to mind games to begin as Styles ditches to the outside until Lashley chases. When he rolls back in, he ties up the referee. Unseen by the ref, the Good Brothers attack Lashley on the outside, beating him down and then rolling him back in the ring. Styles goes to work, keeping Lashley grounded and keeping him near the apron so his buddies can get in cheap shots. Lashley begins to battle back, but Styles stops it with a thumb to the throat. Following a Pele kick, Styles goes to the apron and jumps off with a Phenomenal Forearm but Lashley catches him and delivers a huge ura nage. Picking up AJ, Lashley launches him into the corner and begins destroying him with power moves. AJ needs help but when Anderson tries to distract the referee, Lashley intercepts Gallows with a spear when he gets in the ring. Lashley is wide-eyed and angry. He goes back to AJ and delivers a dominator in the middle of the ring. He goes for the cover but Anderson again has the referee tied up. Lashley gets up and gets tangled with Anderson. Gallows throws AJ a small chain which he wraps around his fight and when Lashley turns around he nails him with the chain. Styles makes the cover and Anderson drops off the apron. 1 2 Kickout! AJ is shocked as Lashley gets up, teeth gritted. AJ charges Lashley who delivers a one armed spinebuster. AJ hits so hard he bounces up, right into the Hurt Lock and he quickly taps. RESULT: BOBBY LASHLEY WINS BY SUBMISSION Kayla Braxton is backstage with Paul Heyman. She asks how Roman Reigns is, ahead of his title defense tonight. Heyman seems to take offense to it, a little more defensively than normal. He says the Tribal Chief is focused and ready to end the story, but it won’t be the ending everyone wants. No, it will be the ending everyone, especially Cody Rhodes, deserves! Backstage the Judgment Day are hanging out in silence. While Dom and Rhea are obviously in good moods from yesterday, Balor’s face looks like a pin cushion and Priest is a little banged up from his TLC match. Finally, Rhea breaks the silence and she says that yesterday only went according to fifty percent of the plan and there is no denying that it sucks. But the larger fact is that Judgment Day still runs RAW, hell, they run the WWE, so lose the long faces and get ready because there will be hell to pay for anyone who gets in their way! A video recap is shown of the recent history between Drew McIntyre and Rex Steiner Two powerhouses tangle in this and neither gets the upper hand, frustrating both men. Maria at ringside is shouting encouragement until Steiner points at her and tells her to shut up. This stirs up McIntyre even more and he goes on the warpath, taking it to Steiner. The fight goes to the outside for a few moments, the highlight of which is McIntyre being thrown into the stairs. Once they get back in the ring, Steiner works on the shoulder but only gets a two count when he delivers a shoulder breaker. Steiner goes to the top but Drew kips up and catches him, delivering a release belly to belly from the second rope. Drew sees Rex down and moves to the corner. The referee is checking on Steiner and Drew begins counting down for the Claymore. It’s then that Maria climbs onto the apron. Drew turns to her and she sprays perfume in his eyes. McIntyre is blinded and when Steiner gets up, he nearly breaks Drew in half with a spear that gets the win. RESULT: REX STEINER WINS BY PINFALL Drew McIntyre is just starting to realize what’s happened as Rex Steiner and Maria Kanellis unite outside and begin making out. They head up the aisle with big smiles as their deception and betrayal of McIntyre is now apparent. A video reminds us that as one season ends, another begins. The 2024 WWE Draft, the post Wrestlemania tradition, begins tomorrow night LIVE on Raw. A video recap is shown of the friendship and betrayal of Randy Orton and Matt Riddle. A personal grudge match from the beginning, these two go tooth and nail at each other, with little regard for the rules or the referee’s warnings. Riddle relies on his MMA background to strike and punish Orton. The Viper tries to block as much as he can and strikes out when he has an opening. Soon, the action tumbles out to ringside where both men use whatever they can to gain an advantage. The referee urges them to get back in and when Riddle looks to the ref, Orton strikes with an RKO out of nowhere. He rolls Riddle back in the ring, but he can only get a two count. Orton backs up and prepares for a punt. When he runs in, he finds Riddle has been playing possum. Riddle hops up and hits an RKO of his own. Orton is face down and gets rolled over as Riddle mounts and begins lighting him up with rights and lefts. The referee moves Riddle aside to check on Orton. Riddle isn’t about to wait as he drags Orton to the middle of the ring and locks in a choke. Orton tries to slither out of it, but he’s stuck and eventually passes out. The referee calls for the bell to protect Orton. Matt Riddle finally has gotten his vengeance here tonight at Wrestlemania. RESULT: MATT RIDDLE WINS BY STOPPAGE Backstage, Kurt Angle, Ted Dibiase, IRS, Ken Shamrock, and JBL are playing poker. Shamrock shows three kings but Dibiase stops him from pulling in the pot and shows three aces. Shamrock looks like he’ll explode and slams his fist down on the table, collapsing it. Everyone is shocked, then slowly look at the door….. “……..Damn!” Backstage, Drew McIntyre is tearing things apart, looking for Rex Steiner and Maria Kanellis. He turns on the camera and tells us that somehow, someway, some day, he will get his revenge on the both of them! Indi seems slightly star struck as the match begins, something noted by Graves who warns what happens when you meet your idols. The match is give and take throughout with each woman getting the upper hand before ceding control to the other. Trish’s veteran skills help her keep the younger woman at bay but none of her usual offense is working. Finally she breaks through, and drops Indi to her knees with a spinning back elbow. Trish immediately hits the Chick Kick and makes the cover. 1 2 Indi gets her foot on the ropes and Trish is frustrated with herself for not hooking the leg. She gets Indi off the mat and goes for Stratusfaction but Indi puts on the brakes and lifts Trish up into a spinning belly to back suplex. Indi backs off and runs in with a big boot. Trish ducks it and schoolboys her into a rollup. 1 2 Trish grabs the middle rope for some leverage. 3! RESULT: TRISH STRATUS WINS THE NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL Indi looks shocked and heartbroken as she watches the referee raise Trish’s hand and give her the NXT Women’s title. As the announcers talk about how Stratus clearly used the ropes for leverage, the new champion smirks at Indi, bows and holds her new title high in the air. A video is shown recapping the interactions between Logan Paul, LA Knight, and Carmelo Hayes leading to this triple threat match for the United States Championship. The United States Champion makes a huge entrance, a tip of the hat to Apollo Creed’s entrance in the first ‘Rocky’. Standing atop of a boat like George Washington crossing the Delaware, he makes his way down the aisle to a ton of boos. Paul and Hayes double team Knight in the opening moments. He fights back with everything he has, stunning them both with right hands back and forth. Paul ditches to the outside to let them continue, pointing out to the announcers how smart it is. What isn’t smart is that while he’s applauding himself, Hayes and Knight have noticed and exit the ring to surround him. He turns around right into double team. They pinball him back and forth with punches before Hayes sends Paul into the ringpost. He and Knight continue their fight which Hayes begins to control until Knight is sent over the barrier into the time keeper’s area and comes out with a chair, wearing it out on Hayes, then getting in some shots on Paul. MVP comes down and checks on Hayes. As he does, Knight comes back over and confronts him. MVP backs up, but drops his cane. Hayes picks it up and hits Knight over the back of the head. Hayes keeps jabbing it down on Knight before putting him back in the ring. MVP cheers him on as Hayes goes to the top, sizing up Knight and flies for Nothing but Net. Knight moves and Hayes lands hard. Knight is sizing him up for BFT when Paul re-enters the ring and low blows him. Paul turns Knight around and hits a solid right hand. 1 2 Hayes breaks it up at the last second and begins fighting Paul, backing him up in the corner with rights and lefts of his own. Paul reverses their position in the corner and starts lighting up Hayes. Paul goes for a big knockout but Hayes ducks and at the same time launches Paul over the top with a waist lock. But Hayes doesn’t see that Knight it up and he turns right into a BFT! 1 2 MVP pulls the referee out of the ring before he can count and Knight has had enough. He exits the ring and corners MVP, who is begging off…until his backup arrives. Omos is here and he grabs Knight by the throat, chokeslamming him through the announcer’s table.Paul is up and seeing the chaos, goes to the top and hits a frog splash on Hayes to retain his title. RESULT: LOGAN PAUL RETAINS THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024 is honored. As the inductees, or their representatives take the stage, Michael Cole also informs us of the Legacy Inductees from the Friday Night ceremony: King Kong Bundy, Austin Idol, The One Man Gang, Slick, Ivan Koloff, and Bertha Faye. Byron Saxton is backstage with new NXT Women’s Champion Trish Stratus. He congratulates her but says he has to ask why she used the ropes to cheat. She stops him right there and asks him if he would prefer that she was not champion. He stammers, unsure what to say, and she smiles and says. “You can thank me now, for rescuing this title.” He stammers some more, then says “Thank you, Trish?” “You’re welcome,” she says graciously before walking off and shining her new belt. These two teams have plenty of recent history and the match shows how good they are. There are plenty of ebbs and flows but through it all is a sense of respect between the opponents. Nobody takes cheap shots or acts out of line. Owens begins taking a lot of punishment in DIY’s corner and Zayn is doing everything he can to tag in, but even when he has the chance, Owens continues to go at it alone, which gets him more and more in trouble. Finally KO breaks free, hitting a stunner on both Gargano and Ciampa. He turns to Sami and runs, making a dive to tag Zayn in….. ….but Sami drops off the apron. KO’s face is a mask of confusion as he watches Zayn turn his back and walk away up the aisle. As Owens watches his partner and best friend leave, DIY regroups. They put themselves on either side of Owens and before he knows it, they hit Meet in the Middle. Gargano covers and we have new champions. RESULT: DIY WIN THE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL As DIY celebrates in the ring the camera finds a bitter Sami Zayn in the aisle. We hear him saying that this was Kevin Owens’ fault and he got what he deserved. A video recap is shown of the long history between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes going back to WrestleMania 39. The stadium goes dark and on the tron we see a video montage of Cody training for tonight’s rematch. As he works out, we hear his voice. “I’ve spent a year rehashing last WrestleMania and wondering what I could have done differently. What was missing? And then I realized what I needed to do. Every man Roman Reigns has put down, including myself, had a piece of the puzzle and if I want to beat him, I need to take those pieces. Drew McIntyre’s intensity. Brock Lesnar’s ferocity. Edge’s opportunism. Rey Mysterio’s heart. Daniel Bryan’s determination. John Cena’s hustle. Kevin Owens’ fighting spirit.” The camera is now live backstage at Lincoln Financial and it zooms in from a long way down a hallway to Cody looking focused but then we hear a female voice clear her throat. The camera pans to the right and we see his wife Brandi. “You forgot something.” She slides an armband up his left arm. It’s black with yellow polka dots. She doesn’t say another word as Cody looks at his arm and takes a step forward into the camera. Cody makes his way to the ring looking focused and ready to go. A moment later the champion’s music plays. Reigns, with Paul Heyman by his side, appears at the entrance. Roman stops and holds out his hands and Heyman hands him the title belt. Heyman gives Reigns one final pep talk and stays behind as Reigns makes his way to the ring alone. The main event is here! Reigns and Rhodes walk towards each other and spend a few moments having a private conversation. Cody’s finally heard enough and the two begin trading punches. Roman gets the upper hand and drops Cody with a stinging uppercut. Roman seems personally affronted that he is even having to defend his title against Rhodes again. Cody fights back but Roman keeps shutting him down and overpowering him. Roman questions why Cody disrespected him. Every time he asks a question it’s followed by a punishing attack. Roman mixes his usual offense with some new material, such as picking up Cody and running him from one corner to the next before delivering a spinebuster but it only gets a two count. Cody is trying to quickly clear the cobwebs but Roman is not giving him a moment to breathe. Roman continues his dominance, driving a knee down into the kidneys again and again. Roman props himself on the second rope and goes for an elbow drop but Cody rolls out of the way and for the moment has his first opening. Roman gets up and is met with a series of punches and kicks, backing him into the corner. Cody climbs up for the traditional ten punch crowd count along but after six, Roman shoves him off. Cody moves in and Roman hits a spear! 1 2 Kickout. Roman smirks, knowing it’s just a matter of time now. He moves to the corner and when Cody gets up he gets a Superman punch for his troubles. Roman covers but at two, Cody kicks out again. Roman’s smirk is starting to fade. He picks up Cody, and delivers a series of power suplexes. Cody is dragging himself to the ropes, pulling himself up to stand. Roman can barely believe it. He moves in and begins blistering Cody with big right hands which Cody does his best to block, before firing a random right hand of his own which connects solidly. Roman backs up, seeing stars for the moment. Cody presses his advantage, taking the fight to the champion and building momentum for the first time in the match. Roman is getting hit from all angles and before he knows it, he falls victim to a Cody Cutter but Reigns kicks out before the two count. Cody looks like every move he makes hurts him worse than it does Roman, but he goes to the second rope, dropping a fist down onto the champ. He delivers a series of snap suplexes but Roman kicks out. Cody goes back to the second rope and waits for Roman to stand but when he jumps off with a double ax handle, Roman spears him out of the air and hooks the leg. 1 2 Cody kicks out!!!! Now Roman is pissed. He moves to the corner and signals he wants another spear. He runs in but Cody kicks him and stands him up, before quickly locking in CrossRhodes and driving the Champion’s head into the mat. 1 2 Roman kicks out right before three. The champion gets up out of instinct and he’s met by Cody, who fires everything he has in the tank, and Roman’s legs are looking rubbery. He staggers the champ with one right, then another, then another, and finally a big bionic elbow. Roman drops to his knees and catches a Disaster kick in the face. Cody is feeling it and so is the crowd. He picks Roman up and hits another CrossRhodes but he doesn’t cover. He looks around at the crowd, tears in his eyes, and bounds off the ropes, dropping a big Dusty elbow before making the cover. 1 2 3! RESULT: CODY RHODES WINS THE UNDISPUTED UNIVERSAL WWE CHAMPIONSHIP BY PINFALL. Cody is handed the title belt and is quickly met in the ring by his wife and his brother. He hugs both as the fans go crazy and fireworks explode overhead. Cole, with tears in his eyes and emotion in his voice, says that at long last Cody has finished his story and the historic reign of the Tribal Chief has come to an end. At long last, the Rhodes are now on top of the world! Join us tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw as we begin a new era with the 2024 WWE Draft. Good night from A JOYOUS WRESTLEMANIA!!!! A recap video of the entire two-night extravaganza is shown to the theme song of the event.
Pipers Pit
Okay, wow, right? I always tell people that when it’s done right, there’s nothing like pro wrestling to get the blood pumping and the tears flowing. I’m glad to report there were no serious injuries over this weekend. As always, we want to thank our sponsors and our hosts. Philadelphia never fails to deliver and those Philly crowds….what else can you say? Right before I came out, I was told that our friends at Netflix report that combined, both nights had almost forty-three million people watching globally. That’s why this partnership is so big for us, and them. But you know, there’s like eight billion sets of eyeballs out there so we still have some work to do. I’m not concerned at all. I thought she and Trish had a good match, and I think people will often nit-pick others for no reason. That’s nothing I’ve ever witnessed, but both guys are professionals and, you know, you don’t love every single one of your coworkers, right? But as long as it doesn’t become detrimental or bleed into other areas, they can feel how they feel. Guys, really? Okay, same answer as before. They’re pros, they know how to deal with personal feelings versus doing their job, and that’s about it. I do want to thank John for what he did in helping to elevate the World Heavyweight Championship. I’m expecting Gunther to do what he does. Everything he touches gets better. He’s worked hard for this moment, and I can’t wait to see what he does with it. Hell of a long story wasn’t it? I keep going back to this word, professional but that’s what he is in every facet of this business. It’s special though, knowing his dad. Biggest WrestleMania of all time lives up to the hype. Both days made this one for the books and that is due to every man and woman in this company who all grabbed an oar and rowed in the same direction. Tomorrow night the Draft starts, and I’m really excited for our fans to see what’s in store. I’ll take a few more questions if you have any.

Pipers Pit
APRIL 8, 2024 MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NEW YORK, NY MSG is set up like the NFL Draft. There is a stage with a podium and there is no ring. Fans are seated directly in front of the stage going back about two dozen rows with more fans up in the stands. Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcome us to Monday Night Raw. Cole quips that he considers himself the number one draft pick because he’s the first person to officially switch brands. Graves says he thinks Cole did this to stalk him after spending all weekend with him at WrestleMania. Cole responds by telling Graves not to be jealous. Triple H comes out and welcomes us to night one of the 2024 WWE Draft. Tonight Superstars from both brands are up for grabs. If a champion is drafted, their title goes with them. Due to an earlier coin toss, Raw will pick first in rounds one and three, Smackdown will pick first in rounds two and four. With that said, let’s get it started. With the first pick of the round one, Monday Night Raw selects…World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. With the second pick of the round one, Friday Night Smackdown selects….WWE Champion Cody Rhodes With the third pick of the round one, Monday Night Raw selects…Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. With the fourth pick of the round one, Friday Night Smackdown selects….WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. With the fifth pick of the round one, Monday Night Raw selects….World Tag Team Champions DIY. With the sixth pick of the round one, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Intercontinental Champion Big E. With the seventh pick of the round one, Monday Night Raw selects….The Brand, including United States Champion Logan Paul. With the eighth and last pick of the round one, Friday Night Smackdown selects ....The Bloodline, including WWE Tag Team Champions, the Usos. Cole says he thinks it was a huge mistake by RAW management to allow Big E to walk out the door with a prestigious championship such as the Intercontinental title. Graves counters that RAW lost one, but gained four, which even for someone from Syracuse, is a pretty clear win. Cathy Kelly is backstage with the New Day who have obviously been discussing Big E being drafted to Smackdown and there is concern amongst the friends that Kofi and Woods may not follow. Big E says that no matter what happens, nothing will change the way the New Day rocked the WWE. Inside the brand’s war rooms, we see both Managing Directors being advised by a pair of Hall of Famers, Mick Foley and Torrie Wilson. Triple H comes back to the stage and announces it’s time for round two. With the first pick of the second round, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Bianca Belair. With the second pick of the second round, Monday Night RAW selects….Becky Lynch. With the third pick of the second round, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Seth Freakin’ Rollins. With the fourth pick of the fourth round, Monday Night RAW selects….Drew McIntyre. With the fifth pick of the second round, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Rex Steiner. With the sixth pick of the fourth round, Monday Night RAW selects….Bobby Lashley. With the seventh pick of the second round, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Damian Priest. With the eighth and final pick of the fourth round, Monday Night RAW selects….Matt Riddle. Cole says the most striking thing about round two was Smackdown raiding RAW talent. Rollins, Steiner, and Priest, all headed to Friday nights. Graves laments what this means for the Judgment Day, losing their Archer of Infamy. Cole follows by pointing out Gunther better keep a close eye on Bobby Lashley who surely has the World Heavyweight Championship in his sights now that he’s on RAW. And speaking of Bobby Lashley, Cathay Kelly is standing by with him. She welcomes Lashley to RAW and asks what his plans are. He says that he thinks people need to be reminded about the Almighty. There seems to be amnesia in the WWE about what he has done, and can do. But he’ll gladly remind everyone. Back in the War Rooms and Stephanie McMahon is consulting with Alundra Blayze, while the Rated R Superstar Edge is intently discussing something with Adam Pearce. Triple H comes out to announce the third round. With the first pick of the round three, Monday Night Raw selects…Kevin Owens With the second pick of the round three, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Finn Balor With the third pick of the round three, Monday Night Raw selects…Montez Ford With the fourth pick of the round three, Friday Night Smackdown selects….LA Knight With the fifth pick of the round three, Monday Night Raw selects….Shinsuke Nakamura With the sixth pick of the round three, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Bayley With the seventh pick of the round three, Monday Night Raw selects….Ronda Rousey With the eighth and last pick of the round three, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Randy Orton. Graves cannot believe that RAW has now lost Finn Balor and Randy Orton to Smackdown. Cole says that means Judgment Day is now officially half out the door to Friday. But what intrigues him is picking Montez Ford and not Angelo Dawkins. Graves says Ford has always had break out star written all over him and now he’ll have the chance to show it. Cathay Kelly is with Finn Balor. She asks him how he feels about being drafted to Smackdown, along with Damian Priest, and what this means for Judgment Day. He says Rhea and Dom are family. All this means is Judgment Day will run both RAW and Smackdown! Triple H comes out. Before he announces the final round of draft picks he thanks everyone for coming out and says he wants to see each and every one of them again on Friday for night two of the draft. With the first pick of the fourth round, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Pete Dunne. With the first pick of the fourth round, Monday Night RAW selects….The Miz. With the third pick of the fourth round, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Carmelo Hayes. With the first pick of the fourth round, Monday Night RAW selects….Asuka. With the fifth pick of the fourth round, Friday Night Smackdown selects ... .Dominik Mysterio. With the first pick of the fourth round, Monday Night RAW selects….Sami Zayn. With the seventh pick of the fourth round, Friday Night Smackdown selects….Liv Morgan. With the first pick of the fourth round, Monday Night RAW selects….AJ Styles. \ Cole says RAW waited until the end but stole two certified Hall of Famers in Asuka and AJ Styles. Graves looks shook and when asked, he questions with Dom now also gone….what does that mean for Mami? Cole says that remains to be seen but join the new Smackdown announce team this Friday night for night two of the 2024 WWE Draft. Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is headed to her car when she’s approached by an angry Rhea Ripley. Rhea demands to know why she didn’t protect Judgment Day and why she drafted Becky Lynch. Stephanie is calm and tells Rhea, first of all, her allies are gone, so she needs as many friends in high places as she can find, so she needs to watch her tone. She says Rhea doesn’t need Judgment Day, and now she’ll prove it. As for Becky….first it’s good business. Stephanie did not want Smackdown getting a moneymaker like that. And second, Stephanie will spend the next year making Becky Lynch’s wife a living hell. Rhea nods, seeing both points as Stephanie says she’ll see the champ next week and gets in her car which drives away.

Pipers Pit
APRIL 12, 2024 MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NEW YORK, NY Mama Mia! Mauro Ranello is back and is sitting next to Wade Barrett. They welcome us to Friday Night Smackdown and night two of the 2024 WWE Draft. They talk about night one and the exciting additions to Smackdown such as Randy Orton and three-fourths of Judgment Day before throwing it to the stage and Triple H. Triple H welcomes us to the show and also spends a few moments hyping the changes to the WWE landscape from night one. Without further ado, we begin night two with Smackdown picking first. Ranallo says Smackdown really hit it out of the park in round one, nabbing two former world champions in Aldis and Grace. Barrett agrees, though he’d have loved to see Hammerstone in blue as well. Live from the NXT Performance Center, Kayla Braxton is standing by with number one pick Nick Aldis. She congratulates him but he almost brushes it off. Aldis says that all good things come to those who wait. Well, he’s waited a hell of a long time for his shot at the big time and now that he has arrived, he is warning every man in the locker room.. The National Treasure is here and you had best remember the day. We get a look into the war rooms with Adam Pearce wearing a big smile and shaking hands with Bret Hart. Stephanie McMahon is sharing a big hug with Booker T and appears very happy with her picks. Coming back from the break and Triple H is already back at the podium. In round two, RAW will pick first. Ranallo says the RAW women’s division just went up by several notches with the return of Ember Moon and newcomer Jamie Hayter, herself a former World Champion. Barrett rejects RAW’s momentum, stating that if Mauro missed it, Smackdown just drafted the NXT Champion, which goes to show how prestigious that title is and how impressive Baron Corbin is. Welcome back Baron! Kayla Braxton is back at the Performance Center with Ember Moon. She congratulates Moon on her return to WWE. Ember says she is so excited to resume her WWE career. She’s learned a lot in her time away and she thinks that Women’s World Championship would look really good in the light of an eclipse. In the War Rooms, Adam .Pearce and Jacquelyn exchange a high five while we see Stephanie McMahon and Beth Phoenix excitedly writing out their selection on the card. Triple H hypes the excitement buzzing around the WWE right now and reminds us to check online to see the brand new full main rosters after this show. He then announces the third round picks. Ranallo says grabbing the Virtuosa and Rush, one of Mexico’s greatest stars, is a clear win for Smackdown. Wade wishes RAW well in trying to control the unstable and dangerous Killer Kelly. At the Performance Center, Deonna Purrazzo is introduced by Kayla. Purrazzo says it is only a matter of time before the cream rises to the top. Kayla asks if she’s putting Charlotte Flair on notice and Deonna just smiles. “Sweetie, everyone is on notice.” Adam Pearce and Xpac are sharing a laugh while Stephanie and the Godfather seem to be seriously looking over a possible last draft pick. Triple H says this is the final round and there are only two selections. Mauro says RAW nailed it with the addition of the Creeds, one of the best tag teams in NXT. Wade brushes it off, gushing over Blair Davenport, who he calls the meanest woman in Britain. Mauro can’t disagree on that and thanks us for tuning in. Come back next week for the first show of the season, here, on Friday Night Smackdown. Backstage we see Cody Rhodes walking out of the Smackdown War Room in a three-piece suit. He’s got a smile and congratulates those inside on a great week of picks. He shuts the door and turns…… …..right into an RKO. Cody is face down on the floor as Randy slithers around him with a big grin. The Viper has wasted no time in striking the WWE Champion! The show goes to black.

Kimberly
NXT opens with a recap of Wrestlemania overall before shifting focus to the NXT Women’s Title match between Indi Hartwell and Trish Stratus. It shows the back and forth and how Indi almost beat the WWE Hall of Famer and then it shows Trish stealing a victory and capturing the title. Then a graphic shows: Tonight on a special live Saturday episode of NXT, the new NXT Women’s Champion, Trish Stratus will make her debut. Welcome to NXT’s SATURDAY SPECIAL! —----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- APRIL 13, 2024 NXT SATURDAY SPECIAL WWE PERFORMANCE CENTER ORLANDO, FLORIDA NXT opens with the Chief Content Officer of WWE and the founder of NXT, Paul “Triple H” Levesque heading into the ring. The crowd is stunned but shouting “Triple H!” over and over again. Hunter welcomes us to NXT’s Saturday Special and says that he is out here tonight to talk about how 12 years ago he was sent down to Florida to craft the future of this business. No one really expected anything from it, but what happened was the people down here came on board. Seth Rollins became the first champion, an American Dream and a Lord provided the foundation, a TakeOver began to take shape, a revolution emerged - a revolution that was Undisputed. And then inside forces, filled by ego, tried to take what WE built away. But the NXT Universe never gave up the battle to change this business, and dammit, we changed it forever. The revolution wasn't just contained to what happened in this ring, but it happened through all facets of WWE. And change finally began to come 2 years ago. No matter how far removed the days of NXT being the baby of one man became, that man never forgot these letters. I never forgot. Because WE ARE N X T! Over the last two years, two great friends have taken the reins here to steer the ship, continue the mission, help shepherd the stars of the future and while change is hard, tonight is no different, NXT might not have survived two more years without them. I’d like to call them out to the ring right now. Shawn, Bruce, please come out here. Shawn Michaels and Bruce Prichard come down to the ring and both men have some misty eyes as they get into the ring and hug Triple H. The fans are starting to realize something is up. The last two years would not have been possible without both of these men, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. But we're all here right now to announce that tonight is the closing of a chapter here in NXT just as Wrestlemania last weekend was the ending of a chapter for WWE. While the future is yet to be revealed and uncertainty and even some fear is to be expected, change can be great for us all. An era is ending tonight but this night is a night to look forward and look ba..... WTF JAY WHITE IS HERE? The crowd in the WWE PC is on their feet and they are stunned as one of the hottest free agent's in the world, a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Jay White makes his way into the arena. And he looks....pissed. White all but runs into the ring and gets in Triple H's face before Bruce pushes him back. The man known as The Switchblade screams at Hunter that Triple H lied to him. Hunter gives White a microphone and White says that last week, these three men brought him here, down to this place, with big promises, big expectations and now they're what? Ending? White looked at all three and said that Friday you flew me into Philadelphia and took me to Wrestlemania and you showed me the promise of what my career could be. I left Japan, I joined some second rate promotion and I paid my dues to get HERE. What the hell was this weekend about then? While you walked me through Lincoln Financial Field, you were planning to shut this all down? While Stephanie McMahon was screwing over Becky Lynch at Wrestlemania, I was signing my name on a contract to come to this place with the promise that one day I would be headlining the biggest show in the world. And now this is over? What the..." Hunter takes the mic out of White's hand, "calm down, Jay. Nobody lied to you last week or this weekend. There is an ending tonight, but the future of this place...and your future...is bright. We are committed to helping you and everyone here in NXT to get to levels you'd never even dream of...what's to come, and I promise you that before this night is over, you will know what that is, will help you more than you ever dreamed..." White takes the mic back "so there's a future here still?" All three men nod their heads emphatically. White says "well you know what, I don't trust any of you now. So I'll tell you what...that little proviso that you agreed to in my contract, Bruce? That stipulation where I get a NXT Championship match whenever I want one? I'm not waiting for the other shoe to drop, if this is going to be an ending, I am going to see this end as champion. I want my first match in NXT to be tonight and I want it for the title." The crowd, confused but excited, cheers. Shawn grabs the mic and says, "You know what, you're right. Bruce did put in the contract that you signed that you can have a title match, so if you want one...you've got it. And you have it tonight. But there's nothing in that contract that says that match will be a singles match." White is apprehensive as Bruce says "prior to you interrupting us, Triple H was going to announce a Triple Threat Match for the NXT Title tonight featuring NXT Champion Baron Corbin against a former NXT Champion and a former NXT UK Champion. But since you want in, fine...it's now a fatal fourway." Hunter grabs the mic from Pritchard, "So tonight, in the closing of this chapter, our main event will be..you Jay White in your debut in this company against NXT Champion Baron Corbin....and Pete Dunne and the artist SHINSUKE NAKAMURA!!! Now, ARE YOU READY????" What a moment, what a debut, what a night and what the hell is the future? Apparently an ending of some kind has arrived tonight for NXT, an era is closing but a new one begins? Who the hell knows what is going on tonight but we have a massive main event for the NXT Championship. Stick around, we'll be back after a quick time out. —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NXT returns from the commercial with what is the first in a series of NXT Moments that will air tonight honoring the apparent end of this era. And it is the moment that started it all….Seth Rollins becoming the very first NXT Champion. We see a highlight clip of that night with more promised to come. —--------------------------------------- Joe Coffey vs Ikemon Jiro © Back and forth match but when Coffey looks like he is in trouble, his brother Mark and Wolfgang come down to the ring. Wolfgang distracts the ref while Mark grabs the North American Title and slides it into his brother’s hands. Joe Coffey sneaks up on a distracted Jiro and blasts him with the belt in the back of the head. Cover…1…2…3. WINNER BY PINFALL AND NEW NXT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION: JOE COFFEY —---------------------------------------------------- Following the victory, Gallus goes up the aisle protecting their leader who is running away from the ring. On the apparent final night of this “era”, Gallus has once again captured gold in NXT! —-------------------------------------------------- In the back, Indi Hartwell storms into Shawn Michaels’ office looking for Triple H. Shawn tells her that he and Bruce had to “step out”, but asks her what he can do for her. She tells Shawn that everyone knows that at Wrestlemania, Trish Stratus cheated and took the easy way out to capture the title. Shawn doesn’t dispute that but says the ref’s decision is final. Indi understands that but, if we're going out, she deserves a chance to go out as champ. Shawn thinks about it and….agrees and says that since Trish is here and tonight, Indi Hartwell will get her rematch. It is Indi vs Trish in a Wrestlemania rematch for the NXT Women’s Title and it’s tonight. Indi smiles and walks out. —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NXT returns from the commercial and we see that “during the break”, new NXT Women’s Champion Trish Stratus is throwing things in her locker room. Chairs, a vase, even her shoes are launched at the wall. Clearly, Trish is not happy about having to defend her title here tonight. —-------------------------------------------------------------- Ace Austin & Chris Bey vs Chase U Pretty strong tag team match that goes back and forth for quite a bit. Ace Austin is particularly highlighted as the announcers put over that he has some potential in the future. But Chase U is too good and too experienced of a team. Before long, Austin is on the floor and Chris Bey is separated and dominated and then Duke Hudson lifts up Bey and Andre Chase hits a jumping Reverse STO for the pinfall. WINNERS BY PINFALL: CHASE U —--------------------------------------------- NXT Moment #2 airs and it is the monumental night that was NXT TakerOver Brooklyn, the night before SummerSlam 2015. We see the highlights of Sasha Banks vs Bayley in the epic match that truly launched the career of the Role Model as Bayley won her first NXT Women’s Title. NXT will return after a quick commercial. —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jinder Mahal vs Will Hobbs We are told that this is the NXT debut for Will “Powerhouse” Hobbs and what a debut it turns out to be. The youngster just beats the hell out of the Modern Day Maharaja, throwing him across the ring multiple times and exploding with slams and suplexes and power moves that has Jinder reeling. Before long, Hobbs hits a devastating Spinebuster and then a Powerslam pin combination for an emphatic victory. WINNER BY PINFALL: WILL HOBBS —--------------------------------------------- Following his win, Hobbs looks right into the camera and says “Triple H, feast your eyes on the Powerhouse. One way or the other, my journey here has just begun.” Before storming to the back. Will Hobbs just made quite a first impression on all of us in NXT! —-------------------------------------------- The announcers take us back to last weekend at Wrestlemania. They again show the highlights of Trish Stratus vs Indi Hartwell for the NXT Women’s Title and then show Trish stealing the win and the title before bowing. —----------------------------------------------------- We then go into the back with a split screen. Trish, now dressed, is warming up and exiting her locker room. Indi Hartwell is already at Gorilla and warming up. When we come back on NXT, it will be time for the Wrestlemania rematch. It’s Trish Stratus vs Indi Hartwell for the NXT Women’s Championship. And it’s next! —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The challenger, Indi Hartwell comes out for her entrance and she looks determined and angry. The champion, Trish Stratus comes out with the belt around her shoulder. Indi glares and tries to charge, but the ref keeps her at bay. Trish gets in the ring and again mockingly bows and the introductions are made and the NXT Women’s Title match begins. —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Indi Hartwell vs Trish Stratus © Trish tries to run and avoid Indi early, but soon Trish is caught. And Indi beats the hell out of the champion and nearly pins her on multiple occasions. For her part, Trish’s strategy is to try to get herself disqualified, but the ref refuses to do so. After the champ takes control, Indi has to fight off several pinning attempts, ducks a Chick Kick and does a Belly to Belly splash. When Indi comes to grab Trish, the champ yanks her by her top and Indi falls face first into a turnbuckle pad. Finish sees Trish remove that turnbuckle pad and then blatantly smash Indi’s face into it. The ref still won’t call for the bell so Trish just straight up chokes Indi. The ref begs Trish to stop, but the champ refuses. Eventually, the ref has no choice but to DQ the champ which gives Indi a win, but Trish holds onto the belt. WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: INDI HARTWELL - TRISH STRATUS REMAINS NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPION —---------------------------------------------------- Trish goes up the ramp proud of herself. She then points to her head indicating that she outsmarted them all. Indi Hartwell is screwed yet again by Trish Stratus as the Hall of Famer has found a way to still be the NXT Women’s Champion. —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NXT returns with NXT Moment #3 - NXT TakeOver 2018 - WarGames II. The Undisputed Era vs War Raiders, Pete Dunne and Ricochet. In what was one of the most insane WarGames matches in history, the faction that would help define NXT finally lost and it would be the beginning of the end for The Undisputed Era. Those men would leave WWE within 3 years of this match and the others’ careers would continue. It was truly the end of an era in NXT. —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tegan Nox vs Charli Evans Pretty back and forth nice tv match that shows the strength and skill of Nox while showcasing how Evans will be a force to be reckoned with in the future as she almost beats Nox on multiple occasions. The tide turns when Evans goes for a dropkick, but Nox side steps it and soon nails the Shiniest Wizard for the 1…2…3. WINNER BY PINFALL: TEGAN NOX —--------------------------------------------- Tegan Nox celebrates and mime’s putting on the NXT Women’s Championship. Could Trish Stratus have a new challenger on her hands? —-------------------------------------------- In the back, Triple H and Bruce return to the PC and Shawn intercepts them. He asks them “is it a go?” Hunter and Bruce say “he’s here, it’s happening.” The three men walk back into the building. Whatever is going on here tonight, is apparently full steam ahead. —------------------------------------------------ NXT Moment #4 - the Final Recap Moment It takes place on January 4, 2022 and it is the moment that Rex Steiner, then known as Bron Breakker, defeated Tommaso Ciampa to capture the NXT Championship in the crowning moment of NXT 2.0. It would lead through the last two and a half years and lead to the moment that now lays before us. —------------------------------------------------ The apparently final NXT moment is about to take place - when we come back the NXT Title is on the line for the last time. We see a four way split screen as Shinsuke Nakamura, Pete Dunne, Jay White and NXT Champion Baron Corbin are all walking backstage toward the arena. When we come back, the fatal four way to conclude NXT will take place. It is for the NXT Championship. And it is….next. —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break —-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fatal Fourway Pete Dunne vs Jay White vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin © Back and forth, epic fatal fourway that sees Corbin desperately trying to claw his way through this challenge to hold onto his title. Each challenger gets some time to shine but Corbin always breaks up any chance to take him out. Eventually, with Dunne down in the ring and White down on the floor, Corbin hits End of Days to Shinsuke who then falls out of the ring and to the floor. The champ then turns to Dunne but the former NXT UK Champ lures him in as he hits the Bitter End on Baron Corbin. Dunne is going to do it! He’s going to do what he never did and capture the NXT Championship!! Just as Dunne goes for the cover his arm is pulled back, he turns around….Jay White is there and yanks Dunne down by the arm…CROSSFACE!!!! Dunne is trying to get to the ropes, but White kicks them away. Shinsuke and Corbin are out, there is no one to save him. Dunne refuses to submit but just before he passes out from the pain, and as White wrenches his neck back deep, Dunne has to tap. WE HAVE A NEW NXT CHAMPION!!! WINNER BY SUBMISSION AND NEW NXT CHAMPION: JAY WHITE —---------------------------------------------------- On his first night in the company, in what is apparently the end of NXT, Jay White overcomes all odds and defeats two NXT Champions and a NXT UK Champion to become the champ! Whatever new era is about to begin, Jay White will lead it. The championship is handed to White who is celebrating. White climbs onto the top rope and raises his belt high. Jay White is the NXT Cha….. OH….MY….GOD!!!! ERIC BISCHOFF IS HERE?!? Bischoff comes out and he is all smiles as the crowd loses their ever loving minds. White looks confused while the former Raw General Manager and WWE Hall of Famer steps into the ring. Bischoff walks over to the new NXT Champion and raises his hand in the air while White is confused. He then grabs a microphone. “Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Bruce Prichard were right. Tonight is the end. It is the final night of NXT. But it is also a rebirth. A phoenix rising from the ashes! You see, everyone at WWE HQ has come to realize that NXT has served its purpose, it changed the industry, but it is time for this brand to die. It is no longer needed. It is time for a change. A back to the future if you will. From the ashes of history, a legacy that many in WWE tried to bastardize and kill, is about to be reborn and re-imagined. From WarGames to Halloween Havoc, to the Great American Bash…hell, from even Starrcade, to the very world title that Raw is ripping off…..where the hell do you think those concepts came from?!?! One place. One legacy. One true company that WAS wrestling. Until he who shall not be named around these parts, killed it and ripped it off. No more. NXT is over. In its place is….. So congrats Jay White, you are the standard bearer of the reborn WCW. A WCW for today. A WCW that honors our past and leads this business into the future. A WCW that has risen again and will shake this industry down to its very core! Oh and one more bit of news….this show is moving next week to Wednesday nights at 8pm. In arenas throughout the world. We’ll see you next Wednesday from the Grady Cole Center in Charlotte, North Carolina for the first episode of……NITRO. See you there!” Bischoff leaves with the fans and the new champ stunned. NXT is dead. WCW and Nitro are reborn?!? What the hell is happening around here? For the last time, good night from NXT and the WWE Performance Center. We will see you next week for WCW NITRO?!?
