This diary will be done using the excellent DOTT scenario V1.2, props to the guys who made it and re-ignited my passion for the game. The person I have chosen to undertake this diary with is a young unknown at this time…Scott Steiner. The diary will be written in a 3rd person style, with me describing things as Steiner or Scott rather than me or I or whatever. Without Further a due here are the particulars:- Name: Scott Steiner Real Name: Scott Rechsteiner DOB: July 29th 1962 Hometown: Bay City, Michigan Weight: Heavyweight Relationships: Rick Steiner (Brother) Tag Teams: The Steiner Brothers (with Rick Steiner) Trained By: The Sheik In Game Profile - Younger brother of Rick, Scott Steiner is just finishing up his final rounds of training to follow his brother into the business. He is incredibly gifted, athletically - and shows a keen understanding of the mat-based side of the game... In Game Statistics Overness – 0 Everywhere Spirit – 9 Power – 58 Technique – 52 Speed – 42 Psychology – 36 Stamina – 44 Toughness – 71 Charisma – 62 Microphone – 22 Safety – 44 Looks – 72 Respect – 3 Contracts – Currently None November Week 1 Steiner knew that he had to try and gain a few contracts or at least appearances to that he could pat his bills. He thought to himself that he should be able to get a few offers from promoters due to being trained by The Sheik who is respected in the business. He grabbed the phone and began to make some calls. First up Steiner contacted Jerry Jarrett’s CWA to try and get a job in the same federation as Brother Rick. Jarrett offered a tryout match to Scott which he gladly accepted. Next Steiner called Don Owen at Pacific Northwest, which boasts a varied range of talent from Mark Calloway to Curt Hennig. Steiner was offered a 6 month contract based on appearances with $20 being earned per appearance. So with 1 deal and one tryout, Steiner decided to call Ron Fuller at South eastern Championship Wrestling. Fuller offered him a deal similar to the Pacific Northwest deal only for $4 more per appearance. The last promotion on Steiner’s list was Carlos Colons World Wrestling Council, Colon offered him a tryout any time he was in the area and they were running a show. Steiner put the phone down and decided to have some lunch and reflect on his offers. Revised Contracts List CWA –Trial PNW – PPA for $20 SECW – PPA for $24 WWC – Trial After eating Steiner set off to where CWA was holding today’s event as tonight was the date of his tryout. He quickly packed his gear and was off. Upon arriving, Steiner spotted Randy Savage walking towards him; Steiner was visibly shaking with nerves and said to Savage that he was scared he would get beaten badly tonight, no matter who his opponent was. All Savage said was that he loved a good beating and would make sure to watch before walking off. Steve Keirn then walked over and told Steiner that he shouldn’t take any notice and that he’ll do fine tonight. Steiner thanked him before going to see Jerry Jarrett. Arriving in Jerry’s office, Steiner was told tonight he would be facing a youngster by the name of Doug Gilbert. As the crowd was arriving to the show it was time for Steiner’s match. Scott Steiner v Doug Gilbert The early stages of the match had neither man in control with a lot of counters until eventually Doug took the advantage. Doug worked over Steiner for a while until he was thrown to the outside where Steiner slammed him on the floor. Once both men were back in the ring Steiner sent up top but his axe handle attempt was countered with a punch to the gut. However when Doug went for a piledriver, Steiner reversed it and then picked Doug up in an aeroplane spin before landing him with an Animalistic Spear whilst he was dizzy for the 3 count. Winner – Scott Steiner in 15minutes Steiner went to the backstage area after the match to talk to Jerry Jarrett He walked into Jerry’s office and was told that both Jerry and Doug Gilbert had thought that Steiner did well out there. Jerry offered Steiner a PPA contract for $20 per show to which Steiner agreed before thanking Jerry and then taking a seat in the crowd to watch the rest of the show. Steiner got home and there was a message on his answering machine from Rick. He said that he wasn’t at the show tonight but had been told that he had been offered a contract. Rick congratulated Scott and they talked for a while before Scott went to bed. The Next day, Scott didn’t have an appearance so he just watched some TV and some wrestling tapes before just having a lazy day. The next day was Wednesday and Scott had the long drive to his WWC tryout so set off around midday after having a light lunch. Upon arriving at the show Steiner was a little late so didn’t speak to anyone and just went out for his match without even knowing who he was facing. Once in the ring, Steiner saw a big bruiser of a guy standing before him announced as Tonga John, he took a deep breathe and waited for the bell to ring. Scott Steiner v Tonga John The early stages were Steiner dominating with amateur wrestling; John however, started to just plain beat the hell out of Steiner. Steiner seemed beat until John uncharacteristically took to the air and missed an axe handle; Steiner nailed him with a body slam before picking him up and landing a pump handle powerslam for the 3 count. Winner – Scott Steiner in 18minutes Steiner went to the back where he was greeted by Colon; Steiner was initially going to tell Carlos that it was too far to travel but thanks for the tryout; however Colon said he was willing to pay Scott $40 per show that he works on. Steiner accepted before thinking that maybe he should try and get accommodation closer to here so he doesn’t travel as much. The next day Steiner had the day off and mostly stayed in bed in his hotel due to a nagging injury to his arm. He had stayed in a hotel rather than going home due to being told he may be working Friday’s TV taping. Arriving at the TV taping Steiner found out he would be teaming with Super Medic #2 to face Chicky Starr and Buddy Landell. Steiner went to get changed for the match. Scott Steiner and Super Medic #2 v Chicky Starr and Buddy Landell This match was full of brawling between the two teams, in and out of the ring. Steiner and Medic looked in control until Landell nailed Steiner with brass knuckles before tagging out to Starr who planted him with a leaping piledriver for the 3. Winners – Starr and Landell in 34 Minutes After the match Steiner was exhausted and didn’t stay until the end of the show. Instead he went straight to his hotel to sleep. Saturday meant travelling, Steiner was to once again appear for CWA, and he was set to fight Tony Falk according to Rick. Arriving at the show Scott was encountered by Andy Kaufman who proceeded to start jawing with Scott before attempting a punch which Scott ducked before landing one of his own then walking off to get dressed for his match. Scott Steiner v Tony Falk (Cage Match) It was only when Scott walked out that he found out it was a cage match. Totally unprepared, Steiner was caught off guard early but managed to regain composure and land a few moves on Falk until out of nowhere he was caught with a Leaping Piledriver before Falk escaped for the win. Winner – Tony Falk in 11minutes So Steiner’s first week as a wrestler was over, how would the second week be he thought as he left the arena.

Nice beginning! :D I too was a fan of the younger Scott Steiner. Unfortunate that his legacy now seems to be reduced to the cartoonish, 'roid monkey, ring cripple that we've seen stink up the joint in WWE as Big Poppa Pump. Sorry to be so harsh, but that's how I feel. The Steiners Brothers, in my opinion, were at least a top five tag team through the late eighties, early nineties so here's hoping that young Scott can get to team with his brother and capture some tag team gold!
