ThirdPartyView
I've been trying out the game, and one match was DQs on, yet I was being bludgeoned about 10 times with chairshots, low blows and other fouls, yet all the referee did was admonish the opponent. Wouldn't a chairshot warrant an automatic DQ to begin with? Also, is there an excessive fouling limit where the referee will, indeed, DQ the fouling party? D. Boons Ghost
Moves have varying levels of Cheat Levels. A Chair shot to the Back, being Medium, won't get you disqualified very often (if at all), whereas a shot to the Head, being High, would. The ref has an internal counter that monitors the cheat moves. The more low level cheats you pull off, the more likely you are to get DQ'ed when you hit a High leveled one. KLitke
I thought I remember it being said that the computer won't get DQed because it knows to stop before it would have been disqualified...not positive though.
ThirdPartyView
I just think it's odd that refs would allow you, at all, to hit a chair shot, for example. Ramming against the post is one thing, but unless the promotion has No DQs or 'high tolerance' DQs, why would one chair shot be allowed? Or putting a guy through the table? KLitke
Well, people get put through tables in regular matches all the time. Not in the style of the Dudley Boys, maybe, but how many times do people get put through the announcers table, even when they can be disqualified? I understand what you mean with chair shots, though. The MVP
I was messing around in the exhibition doing Bruce The Giant vs Spike (Poor guy), and it was A-Ok for me to put him through the table atleast once.
Ultima
Heck, in my first Rookie to Legend game, I used a piledriver through a table as a standard spot.
