All Star Wrestling: Bringing Wrestling Back To Boston

No Dave. Nooooooooo! Just like the rock star you're modelled after you sure know how to inflate your own ego. Enjoy the American Indy show. Still Dazzler! Although going from champion to curtain jerking and being pinned by a move almost as wonderfully sportz entertainy as the Dancing and Singhing... I can understand why Dave was irked. Solid show even with the schmooz finish. Looks like you're building to a four corners match, likely after a tag team encounter. And I know I've always loved the heels, so of course, I'll pick Casey over Ash. Because everyone always loves that Pokeboy Ash.

Another Month...Another Departure Monday October 1, 2007 ASW Main Office Quincy, MA
Numbers For September: Starting Money: 5,848 Ticket Sales: +276 Sponsors: +5,010 Merchandise: +900 Workers: -4,325 Show costs (Marketing, Admin, Legal, Location):-1900 Merchandising: -904 Ending Money: 4,905 (-943 for month)
Rich sent off the monthly report and looked down at the clock on the computer; 9:45AM. He laughed to himself as he realized that for the first time in awhile he had gotten the monthly report done for his Dad on time. Now he had the rest of the day to just relax. He decided he deserved to relax; the reaction to last month's show had been really solid with hits on the website coming from all over the world. At the rate they were going, they were going to be as popular in Japan as they had been in Boston when they first started...not bad for almost a year's work. The phone rang taking him out of his peaceful thoughts. It was his lead announcer Terry Smith. "Hey Rich, I know this might be bad timing but I realized that the contract I signed with you is almost up. I've really enjoyed my time here in ASW but I have to admit the the commute down here is starting to get to me. But if you could make it worth my while, I'd like to make ASW my main promotion over 4C." "Sure Terry, you've done really good work for us and I'd love to have you stay on. I appreciate the vote of confidence over 4C...Phenominal E has told me the same thing actually. So what will it take to get you to call Boston home?" Rich said settling into the negotiations. "500 per appearance." Terry said flatly. Rich once again decided he shouldn't ever try to drink coffee while discussing contracts with workers. He wiped off his monitor as he cleared his throat. "I'm sorry Terry, we must have a bad connection. Did you say $500? I mean, that's double what you're making right now, and frankly I don't think we can afford that right now. I mean I might be able to swing $350," he offered trying to talk Terry down from his initial offer. "$350 isn't nearly enough Rich." "$375?" "Rich I'm about to hang up." "$425?" "Good bye Rich. You can just mail me my final check." And with a click of the phone Rich had lost his lead announcer. Just when things looked like they were coming together for the company...now this. Rich had finally thought he had the roster settled when he found a replacement for Oz Lord. Johnathan Taylor, formally the head ref of Southern Championship Wrestling, had been more than happy to sign a contract with ASW for $225 per. Rich had seen some tapes of his work and knew that Johnathan would be more than an adequate ref for his company. His big prize however was signing who he hoped was going to be a big star for his company, Cameron Vessey. Rich was excited when his father Larry had returned his call and got the two of them in touch. Cameron had been working the American Independent shows since March and was eager to show off his stuff for a company full time. Rich was happy to have someone that he hoped would fill the void of two top heels leaving the company. He had assumed that when Terry's contract was up that he could resign him to something very close to what he had gotten before, now he had to scour North America for a replacement. He knew that the pickings would be slim as most of the announcers he knew of had regular jobs and their demands would be too high for ASW. But then a thought struck him; why couldn't he announce on the shows? He knew that his skills weren't great, but then again it's not like he would be calling Cornell vs. Vessey, well at least not that Cornell vs. Vessey. He decided he talk this possibility over with his Dad after he had finished up the card for this month's show. Rich paused and took a deep breath as he began to tell his father how they were about to lose their lead announcer...again. Coming Up: Rich and the crew prepare for All Hallows Eve. How will the new staff work out? Can Rich seamlessly slip into the announcer's role or will he trip over himself more than a Basset Hound trips over it's ears? Will I ever be good at metaphors? Stay tuned!

ASW All Hallows' Eve Saturday October 27, 2007 Live from Biker's Paradise Bar (Broadcast Live over the Internet) ASW All Hallow's Eve "Hello and good evening to all of fans around the world! Welcome to All Star Wrestling's All Hallows' Eve! I'm Rick Arquitte calling all the action here at ringside. Alongside me is my colleague, his royal highness, James DuVall." "Yes, yes, cheerio and all that. Now before you get so excited that you forget, let's remind everyone that "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith will indeed be here tonight." "I'm sure that no one can forget that James. We've all seen what's happened the past couple of months as Smith has unsuccessfully tried to obtain the ASW Heavyweight Championship. I'm sure he'll have something to say tonight. (E-) "We've got a really exciting show tonight everyone...and it looks like one of the competitors for our first match is making his way down to ringside." "Alright now! Last month we saw Kashmir take down a former heavyweight champion...and tonight we're going to see him become a champion! Newton..if you can hear me back there, you'd better say goodbye to that title because my man is all warmed up...for some Singhing and Dancing!" (E+) "Ahh Buttercup, when are you going to dump that chump and realize that there's only one entertainer here in ASW? There's only one person who brings the house down every show he's in? I'm called the Triple Threat for a reason, and tonight I'm going to count 'em off for you and Kasmir there...1....2...3. (E+) 1st Match Kashmir Singh (With Buttercup) vs. Davis Wayne Newton All American Championship Title Match Rick: Kashmir has been on a roll lately let's see if he can score a major upset here and unset the reigning All American Champion. James: That's bloody unlikely! Kashmir just doesn't have the experience to take on someone as multi-faceted as Newton. The two men lock up and Newton is the first to go on the offensive, working on Singh's neck with a series of holds and elbow smashes. He goes for an early Highlight Reel kick but Singh is able to catch it and then take down Newton with a sweep. Rick: And a nice take down by Singh! And now he's lifts him up for a...a...modified suplex and OH what an impact. James: Yes in England we call that a snap suplex. Singh continues his attack while Rick tries to keep up with his frantic pace doing the play-by-play. After a couple minutes of wearing down Newton, Singh hits the Sling Shot clothesline and starts to do his little shuffle dance. Rick: Here it comes! The most statical charged move in sports entertainment! Just as Singh is about to hit the big elbow drop at the end of his routine Newton reaches up to hit a painful looking low blow that the ref somehow misses. As the crowd boos, Newton kips up and takes control of the match. He hits a swinging neck breaker and then signals for the Curtain Call. He props Singh up to a sitting position and then locks in his finishing submission hold. Singh fights off the urge to tap, and getting some strength from the crowds' cheers he manages to wiggle his way close enough to the ropes to put a foot on it. Newton is livid as the ref calls for him to break the hold, which he finally does at the last possible moment. He then pushes Singh against the ropes and chokes him for a couple of 4 counts and then his signals once again for the Highlight Reel. This time Singh is too wore out to stop it and Newton makes the cover for the win. Winner: Davis Wayne Newton retains by hitting the Highlight Reel (D-) Rick: What an amazing match James! That might be one of the best we've seen and it's a shame that Newton had to cheat his way to victory! James: As they say Rick, if the ref didn't see it...you should have done it harder! Ha! Rick: Well, an Singh put on quite a match and I hope that he's able to get a rematch! The action is just getting started though folks and it looks like the next match is just about to get started! Ash Campbell: Now last month some new punk around here ran his mouth saying that he thought I was some second-rate second generation wrestler! Valentine, I find it funny that you can even consider your old man a wrestler...he couldn't wrestle his way out of wet paper sack! And if you're anything like him...and seeing you in action last month you are, then tonight I'm going to enjoy humiliating you in front of all the fans! (E+) Casey Valentine: Now, now Ash, so much anger. That can't be good for the blood pressure. I mean, I can understand why your so upset, getting all the ugly genes from your Dad and all the fighting skills from your Mom. But don't worry Ash, tonight I'm going to put on two demonstrations; one, I'm going to show all the ladies out here how a real man wrestles; two, I'm going to demonstrate what a pathetic little punk you are. But don't despair Ash, love conquers all...and tonight, I conquer you! (E) 2nd Match Ash Campbell vs. Casey Valentine Rick: Well in the short time these two have been in ASW they've developed quite a hate for each other. Let's see what happens with them both in the ring tonight! Casey is the first one to open up with any sustained offense after the first couple minutes of the match saw neither man able to take control. He used his power toss around Ash and work on his back with some heavy clubbing blows. He slipped when, after whipping Ash into the corner, he charged only to have Ash leap frog over him causing him to crash into the corner. Ash then lifted Casey's head up and smashed it into the turnbuckle while the crowd counted out each of the 10 shots. James: Now why isn't the ref breaking this up? Ash is someone who just doesn't care about the rules! Ash signaled for the Rebel Yell but just as he leaped up to the ropes, Casey shook them causing Ash to fall on the family jewels and fall to the outside in obvious pain. A loud boo went up in the crowd as "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith came running down the ramp heading for ringside. Ash didn't see him...and apparently neither did Casey who was leaping down attempting a Senton Splash just as Smith was about to pick up Ash from the ground. Valentine crashed into Smith and both went were laid out sprawled on the ground. The ref began to make the count out and Ash got up to his feet and rolled in the ring. Casey was just able to make it back into the ring to beat being counted out but Ash met on the apron and sling shotted him inside. Ash then leaped up to the corner and hit a 5 Star Splash, hooked the leg and got the pin-fall. Winner: Ash Campbell after hitting a 5 Star Splash. (E+) "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith: Hey Casey what the hell is your problem? I was about to take Ash out! Didn't you see me coming? Casey: Didn't I see you coming? Why the hell were even out here? I had the match won! I should be next in line for a title shot! Smith: A title shot? Are you kidding? There's only one person around here that deserves a title shot...and that's me! And I'm sick and tired of people getting in my way! (E+) Casey and Smith exchange a heated stare-down but Casey eventually rolls out of the ring and starts walking back up the ramp. Smith: (pausing as the crowd boos) You know the sooner everyone realizes that I'm the person in power around here, that I'm the one who makes this company what it is...the better off we'll all be. In fact, since everyone out here in the crowd seems to think so little of me, I think that it might be time for a demonstration of just the kind of power I have. You see tonight I'm going to make someone famous...by becoming my next victim in the ring! Smith scans the crowd until he sees a man holding up a sign that say "American Elemental = Honor, Smith = Horror!". Smith: You! You're going to be the lucky person who gets to step into the ring with me! And after I destroy you, maybe you stupid pathetic people out there will understand who you're dealing with! (E+) Fan: Well, golly, I reckon I could go a couple rounds with you son. Let's have us a 'rasslin match! There's a reason my friends call me Mad Dog, and I'll be happy to show ya! Rick: I don't believe this! Smith is going to fight a fan...and he picks someone who probably doesn't even weight half as much as he does. The only thing this proves is how much of a coward he is! James: I think it shows how smart he is actually. 3rd Match "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith vs. Mad Dog Mortimer This wasn't so much of a match as it was a demonstration of how a man who weighs 300 pounds can toss around someone who probably weighs 160 soaking wet. After toying with the crowd by lifting Mortimer up by one hand and then slamming him to the mat, he hit the Full Throttle and then just stepped on him to make the pin. (E) Before Smith can start to taunt the crowd though Casey Valentine comes down and the two resume their previous argument. It gets heated and just when it looks like it's going to come to blows Ash Campbell comes out onto the ramp. Ash: Hey when you two babies are done crying in the ring there I just wanted to tell you that I was just informed that due to my victory tonight, next month there will be a number one contenders match for the ASW Heavyweight Championship...in one corner it will be you "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith...and in the other corner it will be me! So you better save your strength Smith, because next month...I'm coming for you! Rick: I don't believe it! Next month! Right here! It'll be Ash Campbell taking on "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith with the winner being named the Number One Contender for the ASW Heavyweight title! Tuesday November 1, 2007 ASW Main Office Quincy, MA
Numbers For October: Starting Money: 4,905 Ticket Sales: +248 Sponsors: +4,925 Merchandise: +855 Workers: -2,950 Show costs (Marketing, Admin, Legal, Location):-1900 Merchandising: -875 Ending Money: 5,208 (+303 for month)
Rich sat back and looked at the numbers once more time before he sent his report off; the company had just had it's second month of profit out of the last three. Things were really looking up for ASW and now he just needed to find a way to continue that momentum. He started by going to the company website and making an "official" announcement just to start some advance hype for the next show.
From www.asw.com ASW Board of Directors Makes A Non-Title Match for November Show After reviewing the tape of last month's show and conferring among it's members, the ASW Board of Director's has decided that Casey Valentine deserves a chance to earn a title shot after Brandon Smith interfered in his match with Ash Campbell. Therefore at the next show he will face American Elemental in a non-title match and if he wins, he will earn the right to challenge for the ASW Heavyweight Championship at a time of his own choosing within the next 6 months. This match is in addition to the Number One Contenders match between Ash Campbell and Brandon Smith at the November show where the winner will get to face American Elemental in a title match at the December show.
Rich liked the sound of having a "Board of Directors" since they didn't have anyone who could act as an on-screen authority figure. Rich had actually thought of filling that role himself until he had failed to resign Terry Smith and had been forced into the lead announcer role instead. But he was sure that at some point down the road he would be taking up that position. So with that little bit of "news" posted on the website he took a moment to glance at the message boards to see what kind of response the company was getting.
from WrestlingGod342: The Bulldozer is the best thing to come along the wrestling scene in a long time, I'm glad that ASW is giving him lots of time to show off his skills on their free INTERNET broadcast. Beeker00000000002 would like to further say using pictures for everyone during the matches and interviews and angles nearly drove him batguano insane. I'm ok with greydog's love of 'match pictures' but that was a bit excessive there Steveo! Ah... good grist for the angsty Arizonian Arquitte. I sense someone being swapped to CZCW. (Which holds copious options for angles and storylines.) Yay money! Boo... finally a non-MAW diary... and Dave goes to MAW. Cuuuuuuuurses! And the People's Choice should allow the 10s and 10s of fans to pick a match stipulation for the Smith/Campbell match OR whom Vessey faces (pssst Trackersan... you can fudge this. PSpsssst Dave vs. Vessey!)

ASW The People's Voice Saturday November 10, 2007 Live from Boston's Biker's Paradise Bar (broadcast over the Internet) ASW The People's Voice Rich's Notes: So we had made it to November and had not one but two hot matches that the crowd was waiting to see. I had practiced my announcing since last month when I realized how out of practice I was during the show, being unable to keep up with the pace of some of the faster matches. I suppose that I'm a temporary fix until a better option becomes (affordable) available. Main Show The show opened with the two most hated workers in ASW standing in the ring together. "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith: So tonight, I finally get my hands on that little Ash Campbell punk. I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to this. You see after you failed to take him out last month I knew that it would be up to me to take him out...for good. Casey Valentine: Hold on there big boy, let's not forget that it was thanks to your "help" last month that I lost that match. But we're not here to talk about the past, we're here to talk about tonight...and me getting to take down American Elemental. You know Smith, I was just thinking that if you win the number one contenders match tonight, and after I beat American Elemental, I might end up facing you down the road in a title match. Smith: Ha! Don't get too far in front of yourself kid...you just worry about making sure American Elemental is so beat up from his match tonight that when I face him next month he won't stand a chance. Casey: Oh when I'm done with him tonight, he'll have a hard time breathing! Both men start laughing as Smith's generic biker rock music plays, cuing them to leave the ring and head into the back. (D-) Next out down the ramp came one of our newest ASW stars making his official debut... I'm sure a couple of people (especially any Canadian fans watching on the web) recognized him, but to everyone else this was the debut of Colonel Ed Larkins. Colonel E: Tonight I've been giving a mission to fly in and provide air support to ASW! My target...Jeremy Jazz. This low-life slacker has been taking up precious space here on the ASW roster and tonight I'm going to bring out the big guns and terminate with extreme prejudice. Jazz...you are the first target in Colonel E's Operation Take Out The Trash! (E) 1st Match Colonel Ed Larkins vs. Jeremy Jazz I wasn't expecting much from this match...and I wasn't let down. This was just to showcase Colonel E's skills and Jazz made a good target. After a few minutes of kicking and tossing Jazz around, E saluted the crowd, climbed up to the top rope and hit a nice drop kick that sent Jazz flying across the ring. He made the cover and picked up the easy win. Winner: Colonel E hits the Aerial Assault for the victory. (E) The TV screens came on to show "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith backstage pacing back and forth. Smith: It's almost time Campbell. It's almost time for you to face the Bulldozer...to face your best...and probably your last opponent. You see I've just found out that our match is going to be a Last Man Standing Match. That means that I get to beat you until you're so bloody and battered that you can't even stand. And if you don't like that...I don't care. (D-) The screen fades as a new face walks down the ramp preparing for his next match. Cameron Vessey: That's right everyone, it's Vessey time! You see what this sad little company needs is someone electric, someone talented, someone who is the future of Sports Entertainment! That's me! You see I've spent my whole life around wrestling, I've been training since I can remember and tonight, my journey to the top begins. I don't care who I have to face, who I have to destroy, but nothing will stop me from becoming a champion. (E+) 2nd Match Cameron Vessey vs. Mad Dog Mortimer This was another "showcase" match, and Mad Dog did such a good job last month of bumping for Smith that I figured why not let him do the same for Vessey. This one was quick as Vessey quickly overpowered Mad Dog and locked on the VesseyPlex (Perfectplex) for the easy victory. Winner: Cameron Vessey after hitting the VesseyPlex for the pin. (E) After a little celebration in the ring, Buttercup was out next with her client Kashmir Singh. Buttercup: Last month we saw my man Kashmir get screwed out of what's rightfully his...the All American Championship title. Well tonight, Kashmir is going to show everyone that he is the true champion...tonight the belt is coming off of Newton! They'll be singing, they'll be dancing, and they'll be a NEEEEEW champion! (E) As Buttercup and Kashmir walk into the ring, Davis Wayne Newton steps out onto the ramp. Newton: Oh Buttercup...when will you learn? You see I've already beaten Kashmir...he's a joke. I thought that you would have learned your lesson last month, but I'll be more than happy to teach it to you again. After tonight, you'll be just another footnote in the highlights of my career. (D-) 3rd Match Davis Wayne Newton vs. Kashmir Singh (with Buttercup) All American Championship Title Match I once again found myself unable to keep up with the quality match these two put on. The two went back and forth in a very exciting match that saw both men showcase their skills and both kick out after their opponent hit their finisher. Newton was furious after Singh kicked out after hitting the Highlight Reel and complained to the ref about having a slow count...giving Singh time to recover. Newton turned around and was surprised to see Singh on his feet and even more surprised after getting hit with a Singh Shot for the third time! The crowd came to it's feet as Singh went into his dance shuffle, and exploded when he hit the big elbow drop. He made the cover and Newton managed to kick out...just a second too late! Buttercup brought the title belt into the ring and she shared an embrace with her victorious client...the new All American Champion! Winner: Kashmir Singh hits Singhing and Dancing to win the title. (D-) After the celebration cleared the ASW Heavyweight Champion came down to the ring. American Elemental: Tonight, while I do defend the honor of the title, I do defend it's dignity. I must not allow someone such as this Valentine to hold any claim to this title, to do so would bring shame and disgrace upon it. I must not let that happen, and as it's defender I vow that Valentine's journey toward becoming champion ends here tonight. (E+) Casey Valentine: (mocking Elemental) I must protect my honor or else I would not be able to come out and confuse audience every month. (normal voice) Man you crack me up man, which is what I expect of anyone who's so ashamed of his face that he has to wear a mask out in public. You see tonight Elemental I'm going to prove without a shadow of a doubt, that I deserve a title shot, and I look forward to humiliating you both tonight and when I get to face you again and take that precious title from you. (E) Both Main Events still to come! Stay tuned!

ASW The People's Choice Part 2 4th Match American Elemental vs. Casey Valentine Non-Title Match. If Valentine wins he may challenge for the title anytime over the next 3 months American Elemental showed why he makes the big bucks tonight as he helped Casey have the best match of his young career. He opened with a flurry and had Valentine set-up for his Phoenix Splash finisher a couple of times but his opponent kept getting out of the way. At around the 15 minute mark Casey had taken control of the match and after an inverted atomic drop he had Elemental set-up for Cupid's Bow but Elemental was able to wiggle his way just enough to get a foot up on the ropes to break the hold before he really had it locked in. Infuriated, Valentine unloaded with a series of closed-fist strikes drawing a warning from the ref. He ignored the warnings but while his attention was drawn away, Elemental leaped up and hit a solid drop kick, retaking control of the match. He whipped Valentine into the ropes, leaped and hit a sunset flip. The ref slide into position to make the count but Valentine was able to keep the momentum of the flip going and roll into a pin on Elemental. The ref began to count and Valentine grabbed a handful of tights for some added leverage. Elemental was unable to kick out and Valentine raised his hand in victory while the crowd booed. Winner: Casey Valentine with a roll-up pin (and a handful of tights). (D-) The crowd was hot as Ash Campbell came down to the ring, ready for his upcoming match. Ash: Tonight is where all the hard work, all the sacrifice, pays off. Tonight is where I prove to everyone who's doubted me...including my opponent, that I am a star...and after this match, I'll be the number one contender! Tonight the revolution goes to a whole new level! (E+) 5th Match Ash Campbell vs. "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith Last Man Standing Number One Contenders Match for the ASW Heavyweight Championship Someday we'll all look back and realize that this match was the first time that both of these men really shined in the ring. Smith opened the match with his usual display of suplexes and powerful slams, trying to wear down Ash. Ash fought back with some high flying kicks, elbows, and everything else he could throw at the big man to try to take him down. Smith took advantage of the no-DQ rules and blatantly choked Ash on the ropes and then setting him up for the Full Throttle. Ash was able to punch his way out after Smith had lifted him up, and quickly used the opportunity to hit a bulldog after climbing to the second rope. The crowd roared as he called for the Rebel Yell but then quickly booed as Smith nailed a low-blow, crumpling Ash to the floor. Smith decided he needed a little something extra and went out to ringside and threw a couple of chairs into the ring. He took his time getting back into the ring, as Ash was still down, and set one of the chairs up and then grabbed the other one. Ash managed to get to one knee as Smith started to swing at him going for a big chair shot, but Ash paid him back for his earlier attack by hitting a low blow of his own. Smith dropped down to a knee and Ash once again signaled for the Rebel Yell and climbed up to the top rope. He leaped down but at the last moment Smith stood up and nailed him with a chair shot right to the head. The blow was fierce but Ash's momentum carried him into Smith who got a taste of the chair as well. As the two men collapsed Smith fell back... ...and smacked his head on the chair that was set-up behind him. There was a terrible crunching noise as the chair collapsed on his neck. Ash looked like he might keep his feet but as a small trickle of blood ran down his head he collapsed to the mat. Smith hadn't moved since his inadvertent double chair shot and so the ref began to count them both. 1! 2! 3! 4! Rich: My God! Both men are down! I don't know if either of them have the strength to get up! James: Oh I'm sure that Smith is just faking it...you know to get the crowd excited! 5! 6! 7! Smith starts to stir a little, but only gets to his hands and knees before falling back on his face...smacking the chair again. 8! 9! 10! The ref calls for the bell as the crowd is stunned that neither man is moving. Winner: A draw by double 10 Count. (D-) Rich: What does this mean? Who's the number one contender? James: Well obviously it's got to be Smith...he was the stronger one in the match...and he was the previous number one contender. Rich: I'm not sure about that James, but wait...who's coming out? Casey Valentine steps out on the ramp with a huge smile on his face. Casey: I would just like to take this opportunity to say that I'm challenging American Elemental to a match at next month's show. (E+) Rich: What? He can't do that? Can he? James: He sure can...he earned that right tonight! Rich: Folks we are out of time, be sure to stay tuned to our website for information on what's going to happen next month! ASW News Various articles appearing on the Internet relating to ASW
From:www.asw.com December 1, 2007 New Commissioner to be Revealed The board of directors is pleased to announce that they have elected a representative to act as commissioner for All Star Wrestling effective immediately. This person was selected after a rigorous interview process and will begin overseeing to all matters in our promotion. The new commissioner will be formally announced at the next show, ASW End of Days on December 15, 2007. Two Workers Let Go The board also announced that two workers contracts have been terminated for undisclosed reasons. Bill Lebowski and Jeremy Jazz were given their notice and are now looking for work elsewhere. The board wishes them well and thanks them for their time and effort with ASW.

From:www.independantwrestling.com December 1, 2007 The End of Xtreme This morning we learned that the long running backyard promotion XDW (eXtreme Danger Wrestling) has decided to close down operations and will no longer be holding shows. This brings to an end an almost 2 year run by a company that nobody expected to amount to anything, but showed that in this day of the Internet that everyone stands a chance to get noticed. Xavier Reckless, the owner of XDW thanked all the fans on their website. He also said that several former members of XDW, including himself, are going to use this opportunity to pursue careers as professional wrestlers, hoping to catch on with one of the bigger companies. While it doesn't look like SWF of TCW will be calling anytime soon, most likely one of the handful of smaller promotions might give them a chance. So while it's a sad day for XDW fans, they can take comfort in knowing that they haven't seen the last of some of their favorites. American Elemental Set to Fly We've received word that American Elemental has been in negotiations with DAVE and is looking to become a major player again in the American scene after a brief and unforgettable stint with TCW earlier in the year. Currently working for both MAW and ASW he has gotten the attention of DAVE with some stellar matches recently. While DAVE isn't exactly a perfect fit for the high flying Elemental, it would expose him to a much larger audience and is a major step forward in his career. More news as we receive it.

From: www.swfnews.com December 3, 2007 Contract Rumblings Recently we have learned that SWF has sent out contract offers to several workers as the company has recently rebounded from an earlier slump in the middle of the year. Several notable names have come up including Jim Force, a former SWF National Champion and long time member of USPW; Ryan Holland, the Extreme Ref from DAVE and Harry Allen, a once leading worker for TCW's Cruiserweight division who has only been used as fodder for other wrestler's (most notably losing two matches to Stink!). Also, recent independent scene sensation "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith has been contacted and is expected to sign as this will be the first serious offer he's received from a large company. So far his only exposure has been in a small company based out of Boston but his matches on the Internet have been widely watched and he's seen as a potential superstar of the future. The End is Near Friday December 7, 2007 ASW Main Office Quincy, MA Rich was stunned beyond belief as he stared across his desk at the two men sitting there. But then again, maybe he shouldn't have been all that stunned, he actually should have been happy that he had been able to have the services of these two fine workers for as long as he had. Rich: Well, I want thank both of you for letting me know ahead of time. I won't say that I'm not disappointed but I understand that the two of you have bigger and better offers and I don't blame you for taking those. Brandon Smith: Hey Rich, this is what we all strive for...an offer from one of the big three. I just couldn't think of any reason to turn down an offer from Eisen. Rich thought for a minute but decided that there really wasn't anything he could say. He stood up to shake the hands of Smith and American Elemental sitting beside him. Rich: Good luck to you both, ASW's loss is DAVE and SWF's gain. Any idea what your first match is going to be? Elemental shook his head but Smith hung his head down. Smith: Umm..yeah, I'm going up against Jumbo Shrimp... He trailed off and Rich understood why; sure he was going to the big time, but the price of that was that he was going from becoming the next champion here at ASW to jobbing to one of the worst workers in SWF. Ah the sweet smell of sucess...is a 300 pound shrimp on top of you. With that business out of the way Rich finished up the financial report for last month.
Numbers For November: Starting Money: 5,208 Ticket Sales: +296 Sponsors: +5,093 Merchandise: +1005 Workers: -3,800 Show costs (Marketing, Admin, Legal, Location):-1900 Merchandising: -971 Ending Money: 4,893 (-315 for month)
Well he had lost money but not by much, and he knew that he would lost more this month. However, he was going to be losing his two highest paid stars, and replacing them with much cheaper workers, December just might be the last month they lose money for awhile. LATER THAT DAY Rich had gathered his creative team together for an emergency meeting, now with the loss of his two biggest Main Event stars...including his current champion and the man who he was ready to make the next champion, a quick adjustment of plans needed to take place. After a couple of hours of discussion they almost had a new card made up for the December show, but had a couple of empty spots. As a sudden silence overtook the group as they came to a creative impasse. The phone rang and Rich shook himself out of his daze and walked over to the phone. Rich: ASW. Voice: Hey...not even sure if I've got the right number but is Rich there? Rich: Yeah, you've got him...who's this? Voice: You're next biggest star. Rich: Oh, do I know you? Voice: Yeah, well we met on a plane a year ago...you said you were starting up a wrestling promotion. I was wondering if you could use a couple of workers for your next show. Rich had to think back and then it hit him. Kris Turketlton, aka Fearless Blue, who up until this past month was one of the most talented workers in the now defunct XDW. Rich: It just so happens that if you and a friend could get up here for next Friday I'd have a tag match for you. Kris: Actually I'm in the airport in San Diego right now with Darren...Daredevil Aero, you'd know him as. We can were planning on coming to audition for NYCW but we'd love to give you a chance first. Rich worked out the details with him and hung up the phone a few minutes later. Everyone looked up at him expectantly as he went back over to the group. Rich: Well that takes care of our tag match problem...we're going to have two of the most exciting workers in our ring. I've got a really good feeling about these two. Rich looked up to see the new commissioner was also on the phone and just wrapping up a negotiation. Rich: What was that about? Commissioner: Well, since we're losing Smith I thought I might be able to use him to bring an old friend back for one last match. Everyone grinned and then got to work finalizing the matches for End of Days. Whooooooooooo! Finally. A Dazzling Star for All-Star outta Boston. Sparkle on you magnificent b@st@rd! I'm not going to miss AE or Smith that much. Both are great in the ring (in the game) but creating stars with some of the lesser known and lesser skilled is always entertaining to me. Casey Valentine seems loaded with storyline potential. Especially if all the other 'next gen' kids with talent keep trying to blow past him. K-Smart should be renamed SmarK or K-Smark and given the indy workrate wanker push. Plus Stretch the Chicken Boy! Best. ASW Card. Evah~!
