Why is it when I sign someone to a PPA deal that is non exclusive they stillleave the other promotions they worked for before I signed them? This makes no sense to me. I was trying to help elevate talent and get ECW over, not take their guys from them.

Only thing that comes to mind is that you are in "War" with other company. Check promotion pacts :) OH yeah, and if that wrestler was on Exclusive PPV deal with the previous company, he'll leave them and work for you if you get them to PPA-deal.

What FINisher said is the most likely reason. It may also be that someone's contract was up for renewal and they decided to jump ship to you rather than re-sign with ECW. If it [I]keeps[/I] happening, though, I'd say that they were on Exclusive PPAs.

If the worker was on a written deal that was soon to expire (which is why you can negotiate with them) then if you offer them a deal first there is a high chance that the original company won't be able to re-sign them even if you only sign them to a PPA deal. Given that you are probably a far bigger company the pending decision ECW had for the worker would probably be thrown out when the worker signed for you and the AI won't make another attempt at the worker. At least I don't think so. Of course, the easy way around this is to simply wait until ECW have renewed the contract then swoop in. And thats assuming it isn't what one of the other guys have already said. :)

Judging by the fact that your "problem" is happening with ECW, I'd be willing to put money on the fact that their wrestlers were under Exclusive PPA contracts, so that's why they left ECW. Most mods have ECW's top guys under Exlusive PPA deals (because back then, they pretty much were).
