AWE vs FUTURE (C-Verse Draft-Your-Roster)

Recommended Posts

This is a diary based on the C-Verse Draft-Your-Roster and as such is an alternate world from that which Adam has created but obviously using his data to try something new. As such expect to see some new and interesting match ups and some new and interesting promotions. Although the data can be found in the C-Verse Draft-Your-Roster thread I will place it here if anyone wants to use it. The data here has been updated to the 1.3 with all the new workers and title histories and such so it sould have everything you need to play. AWE is my drafted fed and FUTURE is the drafted fed of Trypio Altered C-Verse Draft-Your-Roster January 2006 The wrestling world was shocked this month with allegations of improprieties by wrestling world big Richard Eisen. According to court sources some former female workers have accused him of “allowing” sexual harassment to go on and even actively encouraging a boy’s club mentality. Mr. Eisen’s lawyer has told the grand jury that his client isn’t guilty but there hasn’t been any state from the chairman of SWF himself. February 2006 During Grand Jury testimony a number of allegations of steroid and drug abuse were leveled at not just Eric Eisen and the SWF roster but a number of other workers currently in the North American scene. According to sources the federal government has opened up an investigation into all the wrestling promotions in America and the Canadian Government has considered doing the same. March 2006 With the investigation by the feds and the numerous interviews and trial statements a number of smaller wrestling promotions have had to cancel some shows. Allegations have also spread to Mexico as well where the government their, who have already had one intervention in the wrestling business, have reported considered shutting down all wrestling activity in the country all together. April 2006 In Mexico the government has followed up on it’s threat disbanding all three of the wrestling feds in the country and asking all none Mexican citizen wrestlers to leave the country. Some Japanese and American workers were accused of some impropriates but there was no physical evidence. This has spread investigations to Japan as some of the wrestlers coming home have been held for questioning by Japanese officials. In Japan the fans have turned on the once popular “sport”. According to some Japanese wrestling magazines the loyal fans feel some what betrayed by the workers they once respected even though very few Japanese workers have actually been accused of any wrong doing. The same has been happening in North America on a less expansive scale, a number of indy promotions have shut down and some of the smaller name promotions have cut back their shows. TCW, SWF and even NOTBPW have fallen from favor and the SWF has lost its TV slots as the networks feel they are a bad investment. May 2006 The US has officially put a cease and desist order to all wrestling activity. This had a major impact sending a lot of American wrestlers looking for work outside of the country giving Canada, The UK, Europe and Japan a large influx of American workers. Officially the grand jury in the trial against Eric Eisen has found that almost all of the evidence is just word of mouth and have not put an indictment out against the former owner of SWF. With the company shut down and most of Eisen’s money spent there is little hope of wrestling coming back to America. June 2006 With the influx of American workers Canada and Japan have been forced to reconsider their stance on the wrestling industry. The have followed in the footsteps of the American authorities and put a cease and desist order on all wrestling activity in those countries. There is speculation that with all the out of worker performers that Europe and the UK will soon have an influx and may be forced to shut down their wrestling organizations and if not there is some speculations that a many small promotions will open and the weight off all the small federations will bring the business crashing to it’s final demise. July 2006 As was predicted many small promotions opened but before things could breakdown naturally the UK and Europe have come together to ban wrestling. This spells the ultimate demise of the pseudo and put thousands of people, not just wrestlers, out of jobs. September 2006 After much investigation the US government has decided that there was no underlying conspiracy in the wrestling world to hide any wrong doing. They have officially lifted the ban but it is thought that none of the former owners or workers will come forward to open any new promotions for fear that the fans will still be against them. October 2006 After much debate the other countries that once had a thriving wrestling industry have lifted the ban as well. Still there haven’t been any new promotions opening up and no one knows if or when it might happen. November 2006 Rumor is that a number of former wrestling fans and insiders who are missing the days of old have decided to start some new promotions. According to sources the group has gotten together and decided to have a draft to pick their rosters as they want the business to expand and not quickly make another spiraled fall. December 2006 The draft is over and the 11 promotions have come out of the dust 2 Canadian, 2 Japanese, 1 Mexican and 6 American. All of the promotions will be having their first shows starting January of 2007 January 2007 With all the new promotions set to open apparently 5 others, including 2 women’s promotions, are on the verge of making their mark. These promotions have their choice of all the workers that haven’t been signed to the 11 forerunners and should add a lot to the wrestling world that is trying to reform itself.

AWE Athletic Wrestling Experience
From AWEInspired.com News Ladies and gentleman welcome to the new beginning of the pure, raw Athletic Wrestling Experience, AWE. Awe was started by Simon Says a native New Yorker who enjoys the very real very intense athletic competition that is wrestling. We here at raw hope to bring you all the action you could possibly hope for from around the world. Mexican luchadores will face off against Japanese juniors and American cruiserweights in extreme aerial battles and power houses from the world of Mixed Martial Arts and practitioners of the Japanese Strong Style will face off in brutal, stand up, knock out fights to the finish.

From AWEInspired.com Roster Awesome Thunder Veteran Thunder leads the pack as one of AWE’s top Juniors. It is the hopes that much like he did with the former WLW he will be the driving force of AWE. The big quest is will his lone wolf attitude actually carry him to the top or leave him by the wayside. Axxis Jr. Known as “The Iron Luchadore” Axxis Jr. is known for his ability to wrestle all night long. At after looking over the rest of the roster Axxis has allied himself with Duane Stone as the Rebellious polar opposite of the traditional stone in the tag team Top Rope Warriors. There intense double Moonsaults called Death From Above from opposite ring posts looks poised to get them to the the top of the perfect pairs division. Bairei Yasujiro Super high-risk Japanese extremist Yasujiro is another former WLW worker who is hot on the heels of top Junior Awesome Thunder for best high flying wrestler in the company. Bairei uses an almost exclusively aerial attack and fights with a western cruiserweight style instead of the traditional Japanese super junior style. Buddy Garner Technical super star and former MMA tap out artist Buddy Garner is best known for his nine month run a PGHW Glory Crown champion from September 2001 to May 2002. He brings that skill to AWE as one bad ass MMA fighter who looks to try and hold his own against other former MMA fighters. Dark Falcon Falcon is a super villain from Europe who formerly fought alongside other villainous ne’er do wells in UCR. He has come to America to spread his evil with Mexican masked villain Masked Rebel as the tag team True Villainy. Duane Stone Most of the other Stones joined Canadian promotion The Slaughterhouse with the DeColts but Duane sought to truly test his athletic ability by facing real competition in AWE. Although he looks to take the Perfect Pairs division by storm as the traditional counter point to his partner Axxis Jr. Rebellious ways, it is believe he may rival veteran Awesome Thunder as best super junior in the world. Eisaku Hoshino Balls to the wall, never say die former PGHW ace Eisaku Hoshino has come to AWE and looks to add the AWE Fist Fighters title, Tap Out title and Inspired tournament title to his laundry list of title reigns. El Demonico A truly evil beast from the depths of hell El Demonico has brought his tainted to AWE along with another former pit lord Hell Monkey as the Demonic duo Fire and Brimstone. Many teams will probably fall to their devastating Highway To Hell finisher. Hell Monkey The evil team mate of El Demonico, Hell Monkey is probably one of the best all around workers on the AWE roster he can stand up fight with the likes of Tadiyuki Kikkawa, take to the air like Awesome Thunder and take it to the mat like Buddy Garner. In the team Fire and Brimstone he looks to make his way to the top of the Perfect Pairs Division and beyond. Jed High Jed High may just be a nerd with a little to much time on his hands but his mind thinks he channels the force and it allows him to be a top cruiserweight worker in AWE. He teams with other deluded freak Toby Juan Kanobi as The Force, but even as weird as they are Toby and Jed can make a mark here in AWE. Lobo Solitario The lone wolf appears like a typical masked Mexican luchadore but he flies and wrestles like a Japanese super junior. Lobo humiliates his opponents by pulling down his pants and showing his behind in a Full Moonsault, but even with his comedic finish he is still a good athlete. Masked Rebel Mexican super villain Masked Rebel uses his powers which can almost be called flight to tag with other Masked villain Super Falcon. The two have proven that hey are really True Villainy. Mike Watson “The Calgary Assassin” Mike Watson is one of the most popular MMA Fighters in the world and in the 90s was the poster boy of the sport. He hit the wrestling world running in BHOTWG using his devastating One Stop Punch to lay out opponents in devastating brawls. He headed over to INSPIRE with Tadiyuki Kikkawa but that last a sacnt few months before coming to an end. He is maybe the top MMA fighter in AWE and looks poised to stay on top of the company. Mohamed El Yaaggoudi “The Moroccan Monster” Mohamed El Yaaggoudi was one of the worlds top Kick Boxers using his skill in martial arts as a stret fighter around the world. He got his false start at INSPIRE but it quickly closed down and he was out of a job again. He was a surprise pick for AWE where he has teamed up with devastating strong style Samoan as the Weapons of Mass Destruction. It is expected that many opponents will fall to the wayside from their brutal Nuclear Fallout finisher. Phoenix I, Phoenix II and Phoenix III Los Phoenix All three men to wear the Phoenix mask have made their way to AWE and the represent all three of the high flying styles used in the promotion. The veteran Phoenix I is expect to make a play for the AWE Aerial Assault title but he’ll have to go up against the likes of Awesome Thunder and Bairei Yasujiro. Phoenix II and Phoenix III will continue to team as Dos Phoenix and try and use their From The Ashes finisher to make it to the top of the Perfect Pairs division. Raul Hughes There is a reason they call Hughes “The Demolition Expert” and that’s because the awesomely powerful punches he used to make it as a top shoot fighter and kept him BHOTWG Burning World Champion from September 2005 to May 2006. Hughes went with Kikkawa to INSPIRE but when that fell through he was out of work. He was happy to be brought in to AWE as one of the great MMA talents and many can’t wait to see his Demolition Left Hook go against Mike Watson’s One Stop Punch. Samoan Machine The Samoan superstar was originally drafted by one of the four federations to fall to the way side but after they fell out of the running he was drafted to a few promotions on a per appearance deal. They call him Samoan Machine because he is a machine in the ring pumping out great match after great match and it is expected that as part of Weapons of Mass Destruction with Mohamed El Yaaggoudi, he will leave a path of destruction through the roster. Super Falcon When Dark Falcon brought his villainy to America he was followed closely by his arch nemesis Super Falcon. Super Falcon has the same almost flight like abilities and he is expected to try and stop Dark Falcon and his partner Masked Rebel at almost every turn. Tadiyuki Kikkawa Kikkawa is a man who represents raw animalistic power and destruction, almost killing more than one opponent with his Kikkawa Lariat and his Kikkawa Driver. Unarguably one of the top athletes in AWE he is poised to take the AWE Fist Fighters title and hold it for as long as his animalistic will allows him too. Toby Juan Kanobi Sci-Fi geek Toby Juan Kanobi like his tag team partner Jed High has deluded himself to believe that he has control over The Force. Even with his weirdness Toby is a decent high flier who could move up the ranks of the Perfect Pairs division as they grow in skill.

From AWEInspired.com Perfect Pairs Dos Phoenix Phoenix II and Phoenix III Veteran Mexican team Dos Phoenix is one of only two pre-established pairs to make it into AWE. A high flying duo the team looks to makes it’ way up the ranks of the Perfect Pairs division by showing their true athletic talent and their From The Ashes Finisher. Fire and Brimstone El Demonico and Hell Monkey When the devil envisioned hell on earth he saw the team of El Demonico and Hell Monkey. The Demonico duo probably already sits near the top of the Perfect Pairs division and with their Highway To Hell they could take the top title early on. The Force Toby Juan Kanobi and Jed High A pair of evil fighting freaks deluded into believing that they are every sci-fi geeks fantasy knights of the stars. Even if their beliefs are out of whack their talent is very real and they can make it far as they grow in skill and popularity. Top Rope Warriors Axxis Jr. and Duane Stone The new and the old come together to form a Perfect Pair in the form of Axxis Jr. and Duane Stone. The rebel and the traditionalist make an incredible dup and rival Fire and Brimstone as one of the top pairs in the division. Their Double Moonsault called Death From Above could well be the final nail in many teams coffin. True Villainy Dark Falcon and Mexican Rebel When masked super villains from around the world come together a real force is made. The Mexican, Masked Rebel and the European, Dark Falcon have formed the pair True Villainy in an attempt to steal gold. Weapons of Mass Destruction Samoan Machine and Mohamed El Yaaggoudi Two very dangerous men among a pack of dangerous men Samoan Machine and Mohamed El Yaaggoudi display an extensive and devastating arsenal of attacks to decimate their opponents. They use a move called Nuclear Fallout to end their opponents once and for all.

From AWEInspired.com Titles AWE has some very specific titles to go with our specific styles there are not one but two top titles in AWE and a tournament title. AWE Inspired The AWE Inspired title is the top rated tournament title which is won by the best of the best from all the divisions in AWE. The tournament takes place during the month of July and finishes off with the final match at July’s big show Inspiring Times. AWE Aerial Assault The Aerial Assault title is one of the two top titles for AWE and is meant to highlight the Cruiserweights, Super Juniors and Luchadores that make up the division. AWE Fist Fighters The second top title intended to be battled over by the Strong Style and Martial Arts competitors. The matches for the title should prove to be brutal and possibly deadly. AWE Tap Out Although there are very few true technicians in AWE there are a number of technically minded workers. The Tap Out title is meant to give these workers an outlet to showcase their talent. AWE Perfect Pairs In AWE champions are meant to be perfect and that does not stop at the teams. Each pair must epitomize this perfection as a team and therefore the Perfect Pairs division gets the Perfect Pairs title. AWE Youth Gone Wild There is a lot of young up and coming talent in AWE and this talent needs to fostered. The Youth Gone Wild Title is to show these young lions that there is something worth competing and thus getting better for. This is a huge advantage as he can adjust his strategy to counter his opponent. That’s the reason why people call him the Complete Package. Hill was one of the major guys in the East Coast war as he worked for PPPW and also had a run with RPW. After those promotions folded, people seem to have forgotten about Brent and Brent didn’t work for any big promotion until a year ago he got hired by TCW, where he wrestled as Wrestling Machine #2. Together with his brother Dean, they are one of the most dominating tag teams around the world today. They are also one of the most decorated tag teams around the world. Having won both the CGC and NOTBPW tag team titles more than once there isn’t much more to achieve in Canada. That’s why they came to FUTURE. They want to show that they can kick some American ass too. No one can’t deny however that he is one of the best Mexican wrestlers today. He is a true lucha libre legend, being a four time SOTBPW World Champion and a one time MPWF World Champion. Now he’s here in FUTURE to defend his country’s pride and he’s willing to do anything for that. Samoan Machine and Mohamed El Yaaggoudi took most of the match with Machine’s performance really shinning. The crowd was treated to their first sight of the Nuclear Fallout a Leg Sweep Kick from Mohamed while Machine almost send Phoenix III for a full 360 degree flip with a Running Forearm to the face. Machine got the pin on Phoenix III. Nice to see IJW living up to my expectations :) Altho odd that Shimedzu/Toshi were put together as a team, I woulda thought the AI would give them their regular partners but it almost looks like the card was booked from opener to main event rather than the other way around. Oh well, still a stellar show. Its great to see a dynasty coming through for this at last although I don't remember seeing the full data available anywhere. I guess I musta missed it and now I'm too lazy to look for it. What a dreadful combination :) btw, I can't wait to see if you play all the way through to November. IJW's big tournament that month should, in theory, be one of the best all round shows in the history of ever with the kind of talent they have. Specially if some of the youngsters can kick it up a notch Kozue and Emerald did on the show. wOOt! PS: I can't read :p Just saw the data is included in the first post here. I coulda just edited my comments above to make me look less silly.... but I can't be arsed

We have chosen our champions based on what they have accomplished in the past, in the old wrestling world. But from now on, all of that doesn’t count anymore. It doesn’t matter whether you were a 20 time SWF World Heavyweight Champion or if you never captured any titles. Here at FUTURE, everyone starts from zero. We still have places to fill for our next big show, the last Saturday of the month, EXODUS. Well guys, you’ve got four weeks to prove yourselves. At the end of the fourth show I will come down to announce who gets to fight The Hooded Kudo for the title, who gets to fight for the tag team titles and who faces the Shooter Sean Deeley for his FUTURE Destiny Championship belt. Seems like we have some fans that followed wrestling in Mexico and Japan as these men are legends in their own countries. The crowd gave both of them a big pop. You could see both of them gasping for air near the 10 minute mark. That’s the reason why this main event sucked big time. American Buffalo won after he had to use brass knuckles to get McWade down. The match lasted 15:43 minutes, which was 5 minutes too long. Winner: American Buffalo Rating: D

Wednesday January Week 2 2007
From AWEInspired.com Last night AWE had its second AWE: Inspiring and we stepped it up to the McGraw Arena in the Tri-State area and filled out 2662 seats. We also stepped it up a notch in terms of competition and if you missed it remember to watch our webcast. Lobo Solitario over Dark Falcon vs An opening match disaster but both these men are young and still learning the ropes as it were. Lobo finished off Dark Flacon with his taunting finisher the Full Moonsault. Toby Juan seemed quite a bit off and it was noticeable but that was balanced out by how great Hell Monkey looked. After knocking Jed High off the apron Hell Monkey and El Demonico hit Toby Juan with their Double Missile Dropkick finisher the Highway to Hell. Bairei Yasujiro over Phoenix III AWE Aerial Assault Title Tournament Match Round 1 vs Bairei Yasujiro made an impressive showing and really stood out in his match against Phoenix III. The match was an average showing but most of that was probably the audiences’ lack of knowledge of the competitors. The match was a total high speed top rope extravaganza of moves so spectacularly strung together like aerial ballet. After all the flying moves Yasujiro ends it all with the Yasujiro Suplex his modified Brainbuster Suplex. Awesome Thunder over Phoenix I AWE Aerial Assault Title Tournament Match Round 1 vs The matches got stepped up when Awesome Thunder and Phoenix I got into the ring. Where as Yasujiro and Phoenix III gave the crowd exactly what they wanted to see, Thunder and Phoenix I went balls to the wall keep the fans on their feet the entire time. Phoenix I put ona good showing but in the end was laid out with a Tornado DDT and then Thunder landed on him with his big Swandive Senton, the Thunder Shock. Raul Hughes over Mohamed El Yaaggoudi AWE Fist Fighter Title Tournament Match Round 1 vs Raul Hughes and Mohamed El Yaaggoudi beat the high holy hell out of each other in one of the most brutal matches seen on American soil. After the first few minutes the crowd was amazed that either man was left standing but the match went on for over twenty minutes. The match ended after Raul blocked a kick from Mohamed and laid out the Moroccan with his Demolition Left Hook. Tadiyuki Kikkawa over Samoan Machine AWE Fist Fighter Title Tournament Match Round 1 vs Main event and it was one of the best matches seen in wrestling since after the fall I’m sure. Tadiyuki Kikkawa and Samoan Machine put on a match so great that even the announcers made a few stumbles along the way. The match could have been just good but Kikkawa and Machine had such a chemistry in the ring it made the match great. The end came for Machine after receiving the fierce Kikkawa Forearm to the chin and then getting caught up in the Kikkawa Driver, an inverted Piledriver to seal the deal. The fans left way more than satisfied than when they entered and we hope we’ve shown them that wrestling can be fun again especially when it’s true competition. Most of these men are fairly unknown to our American crowd and that’s why people didn’t really get into this match. He feels like wrestling today and he hereby wants to challenge Yasunobu Masuno to a match. He said, if this was in Japan, people would go crazy as this would be a clash between the present and future of Japanese wrestling. So Masuno, I think this is your shot son.” Rating: C Masuno comes to the ring and asks Azaria to translate what he says. Sunday January Week 2 2007
From NewWrestlingReview.com Extreme Lucha Alliance (ELA) ELA is looking to bring a mix of hardcore and Lucha Libre to the American audience. The have a very intense very brutal style of high flying and weapons. Most people don’t generally think of names like Sean McFly and Tommy Cornell when but they’ve helped ELA bring it up a notch and could push them to be one of the top promotions in the US. Monday January Week 3 2007
From NewWrestlingReview.com Very little in the way of news this month except for the shows and the new hires so let’s get right into it staring with the show results. Shows AMLL Los Campeones de Lucha Libre Mario Heroic over Jacob Jett – D- Zimmy Bumfhole over Leonardo Cortes – D Angel de Mexico over Masked Rebel to retain the AMLL Toda Accion title – D+ Champagne Lover over Sean McFly – B- Los Reyes del Muerto (El Demonico, Soul Taker and El Critico) over Marcos Flores, El Leon and The Amazing Kiyaru – B- Overall – C+ American great Sean McFly went against probably the top wrestler in Mexico today Champagne Lover in a match that really did right by the fans. The show turned out great on the backs of the last two matches but most of the crowd apathy is from lack of knowledge of the workers which hopefully will soo dissipate. AWE: Inspiring Lobo Solitario over Dark Falcon – E Fire and Brimstone over The Force – D+ Bairei Yasujiro over Phoneix III – D+ Awesome Thunder over Phoenix I – C+ Raul Hughes over Mohamed El Yaaggoudi – B- Tadiyuki Kikkawa over Samoan Machine – A Overall - B Tadiyuki Kikkawa versus Samoan Machine has to be the best match we’ve seen so far and it was a truly athletic and competitive match. By crowd appreciation alone it can be said that AWE has produced the best card to date. But even with the bump up on rating by .02 to a .26 in the late night slot rumor still persists that this show may also be cancelled sometime soon. ELA Times Of Trouble Electo, Burning EXILE and Kid Toma no contest with El Critico Ultimate Phoenix and Citizen X – D Big Cat Brandon over Akima Brave – C Guide over Remmy Skye – D+ Scout over Jungle Jack to retain the ELA Knuckle Up Championship - C Pablo Rodriguez over Fumirhiro Ota to retain the ELA Lucha Fantastico Championship – C Sean McFly over Eddie Peak – B+ Tommy Cornell over Silver Shark to retain the ELA Unified Championship – C+ Overall – C+ ELA’s monthly show to a sell out crowd and it had a decent showing with all three titles being defended. Sean McFly was once again to dog of the show butting on a great match with Eddie Peak which sadly was better then the main event title match leaving the question of why Silver Shark deserved a title shot. ELA: Dangerzone Freddy Huggins over Burning EXILE – D+ El Demonico over Blood Raven – D- Scout over Remmy Skyeto retain the ELA Knuckle Up Championship – D+ Big Cat Brandon over Guide – C+ Tommy Cornell over Pablo Rodriguez to retain the ELA Unified Championship – B- Overall – C+ ELA built up a decent show and capped it off with a good main event. Tommy came out looking great and was considered the MVP of the show. ELA seems to be doing well but they may need to step it up a notch if they want to break out of the South West into a bigger market. FPW: Freak Pride Worldwide Jim Force over Barry Kingman – D Brett Biggz over Bart Biggz – D+ Genhis Rahn over Chris Caulfield for the FPW Pure Brutality Championship – C Joe Sexy, Jack Griffith and Jay Darkness over Liberty, Jack Bruce and Silver Shark – C- Overall – C- The freaks were out in out in force but couldn’t get it done for a better than below average rating from their fans. Sadly Jack Bruce’s stand out performance couldn’t save a failing main event that brought down what could have been a decent show. FUTURE Championship Wrestling Knuckles over Billy Wood – D+ The McWade Brother (Dean and Dallas McWade) over Adrenaline Rush (Sammy Bach and Teddy Powell) – C Team RI-Flex (Nicolas Lopez and The Great Hisato) over Tasuku Iesada and Haru Kurofuji – D+ Hooded Kudo over Yasunobu Masuno – C+ Remo Richardson over Brent Hill – B Overall – C+ FUTURE Championship Wrestling had a great main event to end a show with some decent building up giving a good overall show according to some folks in the crowd. FUTURE sold out The Den once again which reflects well on them but they still got a rating that GNN Total Sports thought could be better and we very well could lose the show very soon if things don’t make a turn around. IJW Uprising Tour Natsu Miyame over Bryan Holmes – B- The Vessey Brothers (Bryan and Larry Vessey) over Above & Below (Emerald Angel and Hell Monkey) – C+ Ken Shimedzu and Toshiharu Hybonashi over Gaijin Legends (Pistol Pete Hall and Jeremy Stone) to retain the IJW Men of Steel title – B- SUKI over Joey Minnesota to retain the IJW Young Lion title – C- Yoshimi Mushashibo and Optimus over Weapons of Mass Destruction (Marat Khoklov and Larry Wood) – C+ Masutaro Kataoka and Dread over KES Section Omega (Kozue Kawashima and Edd Stone) – C Overall C+ Two great matches and they were nowhere near the main event. SUKI made his third defense of his Young Lion title in his rivalry with Joey Minnesota and the Shimedzu & Hybonashi team took out the men they beat to win the Men of Steel titles in the first place the Giajin Legends. Oddly Shimedzu and Hybonashi have not been made an official team and they still have their own standing teams as well. IJW Uprising Tour The Vessey Brothers (Bryan and Larry Vessey) over KES Section Omega (Kozue Kawashima and Edd Stone) – C Optimus and Masutaro Kataoka over Weapons of Mass Destruction (Marat Khoklov and Larry Wood) – C Joshi DT (Sensational Ogiwara and Thunder Hike) over Nastu Miyamae and Pistol Pete Hall – B Ken Shimedzu and Toshiharu Hybonashi over Above & Below (Emerald Angel and Hell Monkey) – C+ SUKI over Joey Minnesota – C- Yoshimi Mushashibo over Dread to retain the IJW Iron Man title – B- Overall C+ Match of the night shows that the women can take it up to the same leel as the men as the Joshi Dream Team took on two top male competitors. The Vessey’s opened the show but they are still being hailed as the stars of the show, especially Bryan, for their performance. Sadly in his first non title match against Joey Minnesota SUKI suffered a cracked sternum and will be out for until some time in the beginning of February. IPW: XXXITING Masked Rebel over Canadian Dragon – E Mario Heroic and American Elemental over Masked Cougar and Rhino Umaga – D- The Advantagers (PRIDE Kioso and Snap Dragon) over Eagle Kawasawa and Jesse Gilbert – D- Silver Shark over Joey Poison – D- The Mean Machine over Elemental II to retain the IPW National title – D+ Dread and Jack Bruce over Frederique Antonio Garcia and Darryl Devine – C- Overall – D+ After there match Mario Heroic and American Elemental announced that they are now going to be going as a new team called the Ring Demons. The main event didn’t quite save a poor show but it did stop it from being worse and according to sources at the show it was because of the performance from Dread in said main event. SH: Saturday Night Slaughter Ricky DeColt over Whippy the Clown – C- xXx (Squeaky McClean and Ryan Powell) over The Specialists (Bobby Thomas and Nate Johnson) to win the SH Tag Team titles – C- Eddie Chandler over Owen Love – C- Jack Decolt over Jeremy Stone – B Dan Stone Jr. over Steve DeColt – B+ Overall – B You wanted it you got it match ups between the DeColt family and the Stone family. Not only was there one such match up but two and they help raise the overall level of the card with the great performance. SH Thunder Kiss 65’ Destiny over Zeus Maxmillion – D Ryan Powell over Lee Rivera – C- The Stone Siblings (Jeremy Stone and Dan Stone Jr.) over Nate Johnson and Elmo Benson – C+ The Natural over Bobby Thomas – C- Squeaky McClean over Bryan Holmes and Whippy the Clown to retain the SH TV Title – C- Steve DeColt over Jack DeColt to retain the SH World title – C+ Dark Angel and Owen Love over Eddie Chandler and Ricky DeColt – C Overall – C It’s sad when you follow up a great TV taping with a lame big event and that’s just what Slaughterhouse did. First of Jeremy Stone and Dan Stone Jr. helped pull up the TV show but were relegated to tagging in the lower card against two guys who have there own teams yet weren’t tagging with their respective partners. We also question the logic of not having the World title match as the main event especially when the crowd obviously like both men in the match. All in all it could be done much better. XWA: Advantage Sammy Bach and Acid over Jack Griffith and Bryan Holmes – B- William Hayes over Samoan Machine – D+ The Wild Kingdom (Lobster Warrior and Wolf Hawkins) over Jack Giedroyc and Joey Minnesota to retain the XWA Tag Team Championship – C+ Troy Tornado over Bryan Vessey to retain the XWA Silver Nation title – B Rich Money over Eric Tyler – B Overall – B- Advantage is apparently having ratings woe and if they don’t get better may soon be cancelled. The Silver Nation title match stood out as being the best with word on the net being that the fans really took to Bryan Vessey’s performance. Hires AWE – Crippler Ray Kingman ELA – Danny Jillefski, Freddie Huggins FPW – Sara Marie York, Wanda Fish FUTURE – Adrian Garcia, Flemmy Lemming, Kashmir Singh, Sayeed Ali GC-Jo – Ginko Kuroda, Huntress Makiko, Jaguar Endo, June Butler, Megumi Nakajima, Ochiyo Iijima, Raku Makuda, Tadiyuki Kajiwara IJW – Akahito Miwa SH – Lee Rivera TWAS – Aaron Andrews, Darren Smith WTF – Cherry Bomb, Roger Rogers XWA – Carl Batch
The crowd actually booed the Phoenix’s after awhile apparently not thinking they stood up to the test of Hell Monkey and El Demonico. McFly’s first FUTURE Match! That’s right, you read it well. Sean McFly will be wrestling on our next show. This is the first time he wrestles for us and we’re sure it isn’t the last. The championship committee booked him against last week’s runner, Brent Hill. We’re curious to see if he can stay in the ring this time.
Nero’s first announcement We have received word that Professor Nero will say who will fight for the tag team titles at EXODUS against Team RI-FLEX. We’ve heard whispers of it being one of the following teams: The McWade Brothers, Death Row or Adrenaline Rush.
GNN Total Sports still not happy Despite our solid show last week, GNN still isn’t happy with our product. Apparently they’re not ready for the future of wrestling yet and think they can do better with all the boring stuff we’ve seen before. I’m sure they’ll regret in a year or so if they cancel our show now.
