I have no idea of anything that has happened here that hasn't been mentioned in this game. And as djthefunkchris asked for examples, things such as the wording in his comment to or about me. It throws the implication that what he is saying about me is a team strategy with no basis in facts.

I will give you that you probably are seeing a lot of implication and subtle pushing going around. I'd challenge you that sort of language is also very helpful for townies to do as well.

If I were an investigator, it doesn't help to say "I'm an investigator, XYZ is scum". Because they're lynched and I'm dead next. But to say "I'm getting a weird vibe from XYZ" and make a subtle push without explaining the full reasoning could get them lynched and keep our power roles safe.

Not saying that is what you're seeing in the pushes against you, just that subtlety is a large part of the game as well. Make sense?

And I disagree, I think meta is a useful tool. Not a end all, but a tool. It's unfortunate that I don't have use of that tool here because as I have seen in this game already I believe past experiences with the players in this game would open up a whole new world of thoughts and directions. Interesting dynamic among you all, I must say.

Definitely helpful to have that framework. And yeah, it's harder when you don't and others involved do. And the more you play, the more you'll be able to draw on past experiences too.

And I get that if someone implies history that you weren't here for, you're curious about what they're getting at. I just get red flags when I see conversation steer away from their point and more to what happened in past games.

Maybe I'm misreading you though. My mind was saying subtle sabotage but I'll admit to usually being guilty of over-analyzing.

Said something earlier about not having regular internet, was hooking stuff up on phone I believe... But still would like to hear from him each day at least one time.

Opulent did this before. Ended up he was in another game playing as scum which "takes more attention".

Ah, my bad for not noticing that.

And that's why I only stick to 1 game at a time. Easier to give it your full attention regardless of alignment.

 4.
Also: Still wish we could be hearing from some other players too.

Opulent replaced Paws and was helpful D2, but now has disappeared as well.

Did Bluestar give any reason why he's been unavailable a lot of this game?

And happy Destiny was able to poke his head in for a tiny bit even with family over.

Lukess gets ultra defensive easily (in my opinion) and so Archer started getting aggressive and making personal attacks to end up having another long awkward back and forth that takes up a page and a half and leads to neither of them getting voted on by end of day phase. We've seen that with MM/Lukess, Paws/Lukess, SF/Opulent (I think, don't recall that one). I'm just glad that DJ jumped in and steered it back to supporting claims with actual evidence.

@REV: If it is either Mich or Bak as scum, which one do you think is more likely?

No offence, you give me a sleazy kind of feel. So going to eat breakfast then get started on this, so will be longer than I quoted here as I haven't even started yet.

 7. I see that I have a lot of reading to catch up on. I can't do it right this second, but I hope to be able to follow up on this statement before 10am (1h 15 from now) and respond to any questions or posts that seem interesting.

I was on the "don't vote on Archer" side for most of the game. The only reason he peaked my interest this phase was how he tried to turn my posts into something they weren't. Technically he's still doing it with the snide remarks and taking anything I say totally out of context.

For the record: If I come off as thinking I'm better than anyone else, I would like to say right now that is not my intention. Most of this game I have been asking for everyone else's reads, relying more on the town then my own.

I don't want anyone to not have an enjoyable game, win or lose.

Yeah, I get that. Game is just meant to be a fun way to waste some time, be goofy, and try to "solve a puzzle/mystery" of who are the scum. Not really to be taken serious.

Feels like it got personal, don't really understand why. But it's a shame.

I'm not sure what is going on in Archer's world so I'll refrain from being mean/rude. I hope all is okay and he can have fun/enjoy playing mafia games. And I hope that he can do so in a way that is welcoming and inclusive to all members of the GDS community, where people will enjoy and have fun playing with him too.

 11.
I should add that if Archer does end up flipping town, then we definitely need to consider lynching Lukess. Because I don't see them as town/town anymore, one of them is scum.

Can only give you mine. We were locked in a 4/4/4 tie and about to wast yet another day phase. 12.
Hi, I'm back.

I could see everything was starting to pop off as I was leaving but genuinely didn't have time to stick around.

Alright... so Archer went hyper-aggressive. And finger pointed in every direction. And dodged questions for him. And left after getting challenged to back up his point. And now claims to be at a bank, a notoriously evil location.

Yeah, I'm happy with this decision.

Vote: The Archer

Even if that makes me IER's dreaded voter #3, I'm feeling confident that we got scum which changes the equation. More confident than I was yesterday when we almost actually lynched him.

Honestly would like everyone to answer this, please don't just pick who I picked, that won't help. (I do have ideas, but want to compare).

1. The Archer

2. Eliphas (if not him, Blue)

...don't have a 3. Was going to type in Leion but on the fence. Scum killed zombie, Marshall caught Opulent.

What I was saying was DJ and I have different reasonings to get to the same overall result. At the end of the day, whichever one is right, the solution is still the same (and good for town).

Although:

Yes...

means I may be counting my chickens before they hatch. So it's still a bit of wait and see regarding that. Either way, not the biggest issue at hand.

But now I actually have to go! Will check in later and see what has happened.

This is what I meant by not just being passive/defensive.

1. Two. Ain't no cult that I've seen any of these night phases.

2.

Strongest town lean: DJ.

Weak town lean: Rev.

Strongest scum lean: I think an inactive as lame as it is to say. Fair? probably not, but that's why it's a weak feeling.

I don't personally have any other questions for you at the moment, Lukess. I'm heading out for the moment but I'll see what others think and what has happened/developed when I'm back.

 15.

1. After hearing Two defend himself, I do feel better about him. Maybe not a town lean yet, but getting there. Zergon is someone I am still shaky about in the long run pulling the wools over our eyes as a newbie.

2. I don't know about Showtime. He is normally someone that takes me a while to read. I have a theory on what he is if his claim is false, but don't want to reveal yet.

3. Probably between 3 and 5.

1. Since that same post, who do you feel worse about?

2. Alright, I'm fine with giving a bit of patience and letting things develop.

3. So not 18, great. If you had to give an exact number, what would you think?

 16. Wow, reading over my last post, it is a scattered mess. Definitely a lot of "stream of consciousness" there. I can re-word it and try that post again if anyone can't make sense of it.
 17.

I tend to play the first way. It lets me see clearer in the beginning who is acting shady. If I play the second way, I would get too paranoid and not trust my reads or other people even when proven innocent.

Alright, that's what I thought. I think that's something that just naturally feels super scummy to me. But I liked a point EP made a few day phases ago about needing all types of players to be an effective town.

Anyway, I feel like you've been playing too passively. That's frustrating because it's happening with too many people. But being fair, I'm trying to get better at being more aggressive with my reads/thoughts too.

And to all of our credit this game's activity is looking pretty good compared to previous ones.

Back to you, Lukess. Few more questions.

1. Last day phase you mentioned Archer, The Two, and Zergon as people you're weary on. You still feeling that way or have your thoughts changed?

2. How do you feel about Showtime? Do you believe the claim/alignment?

3. How many people do you think are on the scum team?

 18.

My thoughts on Archer are he is an abrasive player. I still don't get how I look scummy. If you look at my games, it takes me a phase and a half or so to formulate reads. Once I get them, they are pretty good. Other than Archer, Blue makes me a little concerned due to not being on much. I think he said he was on holiday, but I do want to hear from him as he is such a good player.

For me, I felt like you were getting defensive quickly with Archer and a few other times before that. Like annoyed that people would consider you as scum.

I'm not sure what to make of that, truthfully. It made me not fully trust you though.

Honest question I have for you:

Do you play the game as everyone is innocent until found guilty?

Or as everyone is guilty until found innocent?

Because I feel like I play the second way but you play the first way.

 19. I don't hate starting on that route and seeing what develops. Originally I looked at their back and forth as town/town but we needed a route and so I went with Archer since he already had votes on him. It'd be nice to get some closure and have a better understanding of the late vote rusher's intentions. And Lukess has been on a lot of radars and the target of some "metaphorical gunshots" last day phase. Worth examining closer. BTW: What do you make of the votes on you last day phase (scum or misguided)? Or the ISO I did about you?
 20. If we're currently calling out people it'd be nice to hear from, I'll like to throw in Bluestar. I feel like we've heard barely anything from him at this point which is disappointing since his outlook is usually pretty helpful.
 21. I re-read your post again and I think we're actually on the same page. I just thought TBP was the threat, you think Opulent solved the problem. Either way, it looks like that's a problem that's gone at least.
 22. That's an interesting theory. I feel like each GDS mafia game has some aspect of gameplay that it aims to refine and teach us to work with a very different set of circumstances. Sometimes role related. Sometimes vote related. Maybe this time it is writeup related. I think you might be onto something. But if so, it means we're going to have to be even more concentrated on achieving results and gaining information in the day phase. Or maybe Ray really is just lazy and I'm super over-analyzing this. Occam's Rayzor.
 23. Oh, I think we're talking about different things. That's okay, good to have multiple paths to be considering/focusing on.
 24. Always comforting to not have anyone die over the night phase. For DJ: Another writeup and what you noticed is still missing. Am I wrong to think maybe not in the game? This writeup is really short, not sure what to make of that. Maybe Ray is lazy. JK. Didn't try to recruit last night? But walks with purpose? Weird. I have a couple ideas for what might have happened here. Nothing worth explaining or discussing though, it's better to just be happy that the woman is still alive.
