  5. <p>Okay, so I figured I'd explain the utter chaos that took place at Narf Poit Wrestling's Death March event!</p><p> </p><p> New Vegas Wrestling intended to play this game in 2016, presumably in a mod set in that time period, which I couldn't find, so decided to do current day instead, starting with TheWho87's January 2019 RW mod.</p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately, when I was editing the database to set it up right, I forgot to remove the injuries of Kevin Owens/Steen, (Erick) Rowan/Thoruf Marius and Sami Zayn/El Generico. Steen and Marius were scheduled to be involved in matches on the show, but weren't physically fit in time.</p><p> </p><p> Fortunately, they were available for angles, so I was able to formulate a plan!</p><p> </p><p> After getting through the Tag Title match and Brian Kendrick's open challenge, it was time to make some changes to the card. First, I needed to get Marius out of his Elimination Chamber match. I had the choice of five heels who weren't already scheduled to appear: Bo Rotunda (Bo Dallas), Joe Hennig (Curtis Axel), Roderick Strong, Ryan O'Connor (Konnor of The Ascension) and Victor Eöus (Viktor of The Ascension).</p><p> </p><p> All of these options felt a bit underwhelming, and then the brainwave hit me: Tyler Black may have a match booked later, but it's not for a title, so slot him in. Heel Seth Rollins was the right kind of character to do this sort of thing, so I knew Black could pull it off.</p><p> </p><p> So, it was settled! Black would take Marius' spot in the Chamber, but who would win? Well, the biggest star in the match was now Tyler Black, and I'd have to have him lose to Claudio Castagnoli later for believability's sake, so I decided to put the title on him!</p><p> </p><p> The rest of the story, with him costing Jericho the Intercontinental Title match and in turn the US Title being put on the line against Claudio all just fell into place from there, which left me with just Kevin Steen to write off...</p><p> </p><p> As there had been so much carnage on the show by this point, all I needed was a reason for Jericho to snap and suspend him, so I had him attack Claudio after his victory, and presto! </p><p> </p><p> I'm not sure how interested everyone will have been in this insight into my thought processes for this show, but if anyone was wondering where this cluster... well, you know... of a show came from, then I hope this explains it a little! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  6. Thanks! I completely agree, and this show was somewhat unusual for me, because I was using the originally booked first show by New Vegas Wrestling in the original diary.
  7. I'll have to see what I can do! I guess I just like including the ratings as a way of authenticating that I am actually doing this on TEW, not just making it up in my head If you think it takes away from the presentation, I can absolutely leave them off going forward. If your concern is some of the low scores I was getting, I think it's an issue with my product settings, so I'll be looking into it before the next show. Again, thanks for all the feedback! Really appreciate it!
  8. 1 point for the tag title match, plus I'm going to give you a point for the brave (and technically correct) prediction that neither Owens/Steen nor Neville/PAC would win the Heavyweight Championship! Just the 1 point for the tag title match, but there was a lot of unpredictability on this card, for which I will be offering up an explanation soon... Hope you enjoyed the little reference I threw into the results! Another 1 pointer, but as I said above, this show was crazy unpredictable, for reasons that will be explained shortly!
  9. <3 <3 <3 Oh my God, I'm so glad someone enjoyed it! Took me hours to do that write-up! Thanks so much for the feedback! Any other feedback? Positive or constructively critical? Requests? Suggestions?
  10. Had an inkling where you might be going with this, so I'm gonna make some bold predictions! Fingers crossed! Piledriver Wrestling Presents War for Territory #6 Saturday, Week 2 June, 2018 Live from the Delaware Auditorium, DE Main Event Mid Atlantic Championship title match "Class Act" Syd Collier © vs Riley McManus I never like to bet against McManus, but I have a feeling the two main events are connected... Co-Main Event Mid Atlantic American title match “The Athlete” Xavi Ferrera © vs Cameron "J-Man" Jones I would absolutely not usually make this prediction here, but I just pictured a Gargano/Ciampa NXT Takeover Phoenix scenario in my head with the two former partners, and really want it to happen now! Tag Team Grudge match Masked Patriot & "The Dallas Cowboy" Bradley Blaze vs The Death Squad (Wolfe & Annihilus) Third time lucky, surely? Special Tag Team match Scythe & his new protégé vs The Heartbreak Express That massive monster who cost me my perfect predictions? Opening Women's match Alexis Lee Littlefeather vs "Dangerous" Deborah Young Alexis seems to just be here to put over younger talent, and Deborah's definitely Young...
  11. I haven't, actually. I just have an idea where I want my main event story arc to go, and the J-Ro/SMY match definitely needed to happen. As for the Jemson/Taylor team-up, it just stems from an old habit I have on TEW, which is to use my pre-show time testing for chemistry. Obviously I'm invested in Taylor as she's the perspective for the diary, and Jemson is my only designated manager at the moment, so I tested them. (For the record, they have neither good nor bad chemistry, which means I probably won't explore it any further, unless an amazing storyline opportunity comes up that I can't refuse )
  12. Damn that monstrous new guy, ruining my perfect score! If I could get my hands on him, I'd... run for the hills. I'm not stupid

  18. <p>Friday, Week 1, March 2016</p><p> </p><p> When I woke up, I checked TEW.com. This was always the first thing I did in a morning, before breakfast, before showering, before anything. Wrestling came first. This particular morning, I let out a little excited squeak as I saw a familiar face on the home page!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cbDcnCD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cbDcnCD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <em>Sara Marie York</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> It was an article about our Femme Fatale Champion, Sara! In it, the author speculated that she was "hotly tipped to become a huge star with AAA." I don't know about you, but I'd say she's already a pretty big deal as our top champion!</p><p> </p><p> The author went on to speculate that the fact that Sara had yet to win a match for herself this year wasn't a bad sign, in fact it was quite the opposite. They claimed her current run of form definitely looks like the beginning of an interesting storyline that may well take her to the next level!</p><p> </p><p> I certainly couldn't wait to see if they were right... and I also couldn't wait to see my own face on TEW.com one day!</p>

Another stroke of luck was that I wasn't involved in the finish of the match. I meandered my way through the match, allowing everyone around me to take the lead and do most of the work until Steph hit Simony with her signature DDT for the pin at 11:26.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0vMu41H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0vMu41H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Grudge Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="zqHIU0R.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zqHIU0R.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="20F9656.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/20F9656.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Paige Croft vs Selina Svelte</em></p><p> </p><p> As I got behind the curtain, I realised that my best match of the year had been the one I was least involved in. That didn't help my mood any... maybe I wasn't cut out for this. Anyway, as always, I wanted to watch the rest of the show, and Paige was making her entrance for this match that I still found a little bizarre. I understood we were playing up the backstage incident from last month that was all over the internet, but that didn't mean I agreed with it.</p><p> </p><p> Wrestling is all about trust, you're putting your bodies in each others' hands. Last month, these two were genuinely trying to attack each other, and now they were being expected to look after each other out there? Not that I thought Paige or Selina were untrustworthy, just the principle troubled me.</p><p> </p><p> I was snapped back into reality by Selina sprinting past me and through the curtain, opting to make a running start rather than her usual entrance. The match was a wild brawl from the moment Selina slid into the ring. They wrestled... no, they <em><strong>fought</strong></em> for 11 minutes and 47 seconds, both constantly flirting with disqualification, before the referee eventually had to throw the match out as a double DQ.</p><p> </p><p> The crowd weren't happy, but I thought the match and result made sense, considering the nature of this young rivalry. Maybe I should start a fight backstage to get myself a storyline? Who am I kidding? I don't have it in me...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="RaK5IJj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RaK5IJj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Joanne Rodriguez Promo</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="CT1aHpJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CT1aHpJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Up next, J-Ro had a few minutes to talk to the crowd about her upcoming Femme Fatale Championship shot. She talked about not meaning to cost Sara her match against Nadia two months ago, then switched gears to talk about how she proved herself by winning the tag match last month to earn herself this shot. She vowed to beat Sara tonight, then headed to the back to prepare.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="JCBhPc2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JCBhPc2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="p4d7OXv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/p4d7OXv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="odQIjxU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/odQIjxU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4BuC4wS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4BuC4wS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Suzanne Brazzle vs Talia Quinzel ©</em></p><p> </p><p> Last month, Suzi won a match against Steph to earn this opportunity and, with the greatest respect to Simony and Steffi, this would definitely be Talia's toughest challenge to date. Talia, known for her prowess with many variants of the Backbreaker, worked over Suzi's back for the majority of the match.</p><p> </p><p> The girls told an awesome story out there, with Suzi really "selling" the back and struggling to build any momentum, but also refusing to be pinned or forced to submit. Eventually, Talia got frustrated with Suzi's resilience, grabbed her title and walked out on the match, taking an intentional count-out loss at 13:51.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0vMu41H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0vMu41H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Top Contenders For The AAA Tag Team Championships Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="iC1nxsD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iC1nxsD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yoBP6nZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yoBP6nZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="N0LFHwG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N0LFHwG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MS4y0US.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MS4y0US.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Christy Higgins & Wendy Anderson vs Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly</em></p><p> </p><p> This was the first match of the night with a personal storyline behind it from the start. In January, Christy and Wendy won (what seemed to be) a throwaway tag team match, and were rewarded last month with the first shot at the newly crowned AAA Tag Team Champions, Good Lookin' Bunny. The former champions, Lilly & Rose didn't like this, and ruined the match by attacking both teams. So now, Christy and Wendy would take on Debbie and Kate for the chance to face GLB next month for the titles. I love nice, simple storytelling like this!</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, the match itself was wasn't bad. Most of the matches so far had pretty much been on a par, and this one was no different. Kate and Debbie exhibited their great chemistry as a team once again, and I wondered if Ms Quine and Cherry regretted taking the tag titles off them...</p><p> </p><p> If they did, they would potentially have the chance to give them the titles back next month, as Debbie rolled up Christy (with a handful of tights) at the 12:50 mark.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0vMu41H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0vMu41H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event (Non-Title Match)</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="eM9jnrf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eM9jnrf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ny8YNGR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ny8YNGR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="47oQkGo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/47oQkGo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="gnsxoff.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gnsxoff.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tOUoqhl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tOUoqhl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow w/ Cat Jemson vs Jessica Bunny & Katherine Goodlooks</em></p><p> </p><p> The best match of the night so far, not just because it was between two of our top teams, but also because the non-title stipulation actually made the result a lot less predictable.</p><p> </p><p> The match played out like a fairly standard tag team match, with The A-List splitting the ring in half and isolating one of their opponents until she eventually got free and made a "hot tag" to her partner, then the A-List took a shortcut and ended up back in control again.</p><p> </p><p> As the match was reaching a crescendo, someone ran past me and through the curtain...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="CT1aHpJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CT1aHpJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Joanne Rodriguez!</em></p><p> </p><p> J-Ro distracted Demelza just long enough for Katherine to hit a "Pretty Fly" for the pin after 16 minutes and 3 seconds!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="JCBhPc2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JCBhPc2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sara Marie York Promo</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cbDcnCD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cbDcnCD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Now it was time for Sara to speak her mind on the imminent Femme Fatale Championship match! This was a big match. This had that "big fight feel." I don't know if it was simply the calibre of the two women involved, or if the fact that the only talking we had on the show was them talking about the match helped, but either way, this was huge!</p><p> </p><p> They went back and forth for almost half an hour, and it was the best match of the night, with lots of dramatic moments, near falls, and everything else you could want in a great championship match!</p><p> </p><p> Just before the 29 minute mark, Joanne picked Sara up and planted her with the J-Rocker! The crowd jumped to their feet, sensing a new champion being crowned, and I have to admit, so did I backstage. 21. Commenting purely so I can find this thread again in future, looks a lot of fun! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

It's not that weird I guess but it's one of those things I feel kinda silly doing. Generally the leagues would be based solely on overness (so the most popular guys were in the top league but I maintained some flexibility).</p><p> </p><p> I would then run a round robin tournament each of the leagues using standard 1vs 1 matches without booking a winner.</p><p> </p><p> I'd track the results in a spreadsheet and have a league table. Once all the matches had been completed the winner (or top 2) would be promoted to the league above while the last place (or bottom 2) would be relegated.</p><p> </p><p> The leagues would then begin again. I use them). I then look into their default character traits and try to role-play them as best I can. So sometimes my main goal might be to get myself into the Hall Of Immortals, sometimes I'll keep myself an Enhancement Talent the entire time, building other stars. It keeps each new game fresh and different, and is actually how I decided on <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=542989" rel="external nofollow">my first diary</a> (cheap plug <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)!</p>
