  1. I thought about the show time recently and how New Japan shows have an upward of 5 hours on average for the supershows. Nice to see that's being adapted.
  2. Was that what Bishadman chose or was it just something you came up with? Because that is...certainly a decision. Where did I steal the idea of the enchanted coins of Judas from? = The Devil's Hand from TNA? No clue.
  3. WCW Lives May 2001 to August 2002 (mid-year showcase) WCW World Heavyweight - Booker T (4x), since May 2001 - Has gone through the ringer with Diamond Dallas Page, Sting (including the main event of Starrcade), Jeff Jarrett, Ric Flair, Goldin Rhodes, Honor Rising, and is now in a rivalry with Shane Douglas. Has already dethroned Hulk Hogan as the longest reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion ever. WCW United States - Goldin Rhodes (3x), since July 2002 - Recently beat Diamond Dallas Page for the title at the inaugural Nihoncon. WCW World Tag Team - Honor Rising (CM Punk and Samoa Joe) (2x for each), since June 2002 - Recently beat Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire and for the titles at Great American Bash in a 3-Way Ladder Match that also included Team Canada (Lance Storm and Mike Awesome). Members of the 4Wo. WCW Openweight - Vacant since August 2002 - Former champion Goldberg vacated the title after defeating Duane Gill. He threw it down afterwards, not realizing until afterwards the match was for a title. Eric Bischoff declared it vacant the day after. Title is dictated that it must always be on the line in a match, barring tag matches. Once a champion reaches 15 defenses, they can vacate their title for a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. So far, Mark Jindrak is the only champion to make it to the full 15 defenses. He cashed it in for a title shot against Booker T on an episode of Nitro. He was unsuccessful. WCW Cruiserweight - AJ Styles (1x), since July 2002 - Recently beat Jamie Knoble at Bash at the Beach. Once a champion reaches 10 defenses, they can vacate their title for a shot at the WCW United States Championship. No champion has been able to do this yet. Other Accomplishments Golden Opportunity Briefcase - Goldin Rhodes, since May 2002 - Beat Kanyon, Davey Boy Smith, Ken Shamrock, Konnan, and Shane Douglas to win the briefcase. The Big Bang Climax - Goldin Rhodes - 8-Man single elimination tournament that takes place in May. Winner gets a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Great American Bash. Goldin Rhodes defeated Rey Misterio Jr. in the finals in 2002. He was unsuccessful in his World Title challenge against Booker T. WCW Cruiserweight Classic - AJ Styles - Finals held in June. 10 Cruiserweights fight in a Round Robin tournament. Top four points holders (2 points for victory, 1 for draw) face in a single elimination tournament at Great American Bash. Winner gets a shot at the WCW Cruiserweight Championship at Bash at the Beach. If the champion should win, they can choose their challenger at Bash at the Beach. AJ Styles defeated Jamie Knoble in the finals to win the 2002 tournament. WCW Tag Team Classic - TBA - Finals held in September. 10 teams fight in a Round Robin tournament. Top four points holders (2 points for victory, 1 for draw) face in a single elimination tournament at Fall Brawl. Winner gets a shot at the WCW World Tag Team Championship at Halloween Havoc. Halloween Havoc 60-Man Rumble - Sting - 60-Man Over the Top Rope Rumble to earn a WCW World Heavyweight Championship shot at Starrcade. Sting won the inaugural 30-Man Rumble to earn the title shot, which he lost to Booker T. WCW Hall of Fame Class of 2001 - Kevin Nash (Sept. Inductee), The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) (Sept. Inductee), Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Steiner Brothers, Bobby Heenan, Vader, Terry Funk, Stevie Ray
  4. Focus on the main event storylines a few months at a time while building up other, younger stars on the lower cards. If a main event guy who's a smidge holder is still around I'll find things to do with them (unless it's like Flair or Sting where they're icons). Generally when I book shows I do it on the fly barring a few angles I think of in the off-time.
  5. <p>So is putting on shows in the same region multiple times the best way to increase importance? Because I've seen people in mods and diaries become National (WCW Lives for reference) before 2001 even ends. </p><p> </p><p> Meanwhile, I have a higher rating in Australia, Japan, and Central Europe than I do in a few regions of the continental US and it's starting to annoy the piss out of me.</p>

It brought up a lot of valid points and was a good indication of what a good portion of the fanbase (at least the vocal ones who contribute to the boards) were/are thinking.</p>
  7. I'ma keep it real: some part of me really wants Hunter and Shane to be bros and get along despite Stephanie being Stephanie
  8. Nah I'm with ya. If it's a guy that I really don't want to keep around but don't mind using for one reason or another, and I don't want to eat the money for their termination, I'll let them be miserable until they ask for their release.
  9. Take your time if you need to. That's a hectic schedule for anybody to have to adhere to and broken laptops/computers always suck.
  10. Hey, I'm back. Um, yeah, this is frickin fantastic. I would love to see more. For the love of God, I would love to see more.
  11. I have to go back and reread all of this because it's clear there is a lot to this that's going to be nice to read. Couple things on first glance: you bastard, you had Owens betray his best friend...again! Roode doing it makes sense and the timing couldn't have been more perfect to portray Roode as truly evil. Cena being literally the first to die is somehow poetic justice and a good indication that literally nobody is safe, worked or otherwise. Sami showing himself as a sadistic prick was beautiful. "...My reason... it came here with me." Awwwww! Kota and Kenny need to live on for a long time. They are really the two protagonists that stand out.
  12. The game won't convert the data at all. 16 won't be able to transfer to 20 whatsoever.
  13. Unless you have NXT separate from WWE as its developmental promotion or "child company" you can't play as it in 2016. In 2020 you're free game though.
  14. I think they were referring to your comment by referencing the Marge Simpson meme, not Ryland's. I think, anyway.

  16. What makes this whole thing weird is that, in real life, Jericho would probably easily job to Page.

Guys like Ric Flair or Sting are supposedly on time decline in 2001 but went on to have fantastic wrestling matches for 7 to 13 more years respectively.</p>
