  1. <p>Found this awesome picture of Dragon Rojo while searching for pictures for my diary so thought I'd post it up for people to use.</p><p> </p><p> <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Frontiergfx/media/Dragon%20Rojo_alt_zpsibqbqa6f.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/Frontiergfx/Dragon%20Rojo_alt_zpsibqbqa6f.jpg</span></a></p>

You normally have ECW, WCW and other defunct promotions in your mods. Will you ever be adding other defunct promotions like AWA, or will you be looking to introduce more Australian based promotions as I feel that would be a good to expand your mod</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Probably no more defunct promotions. I had original plans for the mod to be a "Past, Present & Future" mod with a lot of deceased guys who had their title reigns etc, gimmicks and such from the late 80's/early 90's onwards so the data was also a bit of a "wrestlenerdgasm" of data, history and info but in the end I settled for a "history light" version of it adding ECW, WCW, WRP, HUSTLE & Lucha USA in order to get some alternative gimmicks in that would link to the correct promotions and flesh out some workers history even more.</p><p> </p><p> I've tried so hard to research Australian wrestling as I agree, it would be really good to get something over there in this mod but it is not easy - it's harder than Canada to be honest and I didn't even do the Canadian scene in my data! I'm very switched on when it comes to wrestling in general but I'm no expert in any of the fields. Kind of a "Jack of All Trades, Master of None" sort of scenario. I could tell you who was the first match of In Your House 1 and that there were 4 Dark Matches (one of which was a KOTR qualifying match between British Bulldog & Owen Hart) on the event card, I could tell you most of the CHIKARA roster today and I could tell you who beat Silver King for his mask in 1987, but couldn't name one male wrestler working on the Australian Indy scene today! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  3. The title fixes I need to do <span style="text-decoration:underline;">might</span> not be that easy to fix (depends how many I have to delete to input) so I am probably going to be a little later with the update (hopefully not too much later - might even just be later in the day on the 1st). Unfortunately it's one of those things where something important has been brought to my attention that needs fixing I wasn't expecting. It happens all the time in modding but at least it's been brought to my attention when I have some time so I can get it fixed before the release.

I'm currently at 730 workers (but about 60 of those are yet to debut). What I ideally want for this mod is for you to play it from the 1990 start date up until modern times (and I am toying with the idea of some surprise new workers as your game unfolds). I am going to knock up another load of pictures for the nGo pack and send them across to juttxyank hopefully by the weekend so hopefully by the time I do release it a new nGo pack will be out and everyone will have their pictures assigned.</p>
  5. If they are listed in the second post as having been added then they are. If not then not at present.
  6. Little confused but I'll try and explain the world again (if it sounds like I'm being a dick, it's not to you personally but I struggle with diplomacy when explaining things). Who would sell more tickets? Okada in Japan or John Cena in Japan? All I can say to those who are complaining is that they should maybe step out of the WWE bubble for a minute and educate themselves on the WORLD of pro wrestling. NJPW is more popular in Japan than WWE so a lot of their wrestlers are going to be more over in that area, just like John Cena is more over in America than all Japanese workers. I'm not making a WWE2K mod at the end of the day. The mod has more fans than it does haters which tells me I'm doing something right. If I reverse their locations... Okada is F+ in America, John Cena is B in Japan sooooo... (I'm using them as the examples as they are pretty much the #1 stars of both areas) How is that favouring Japanese workers? Examples of who should be more over in Japan than Okada would be good to hear from people. I could maybe see AJ Styles, Finn Balor & Shinsuke Nakamura as the closest to Okada in terms of WWE wrestlers who are over in Japan but none who should be more over. With regard to those who think I "favour" Japanese wrestling, my favourite promotions to watch are old school ECW, CHIKARA (who last I looked were in the Tri-State) and WWE circa 1995-1999. Can someone explain how that makes me Japan bias? I personally don't think it needs "fixed" but hopefully that answers your question. Zero-1 is called that for no other reason than I liked the name and it had logo's for Japan, America & Mexico which was what I was looking for in terms of a huge promotion based over 3 areas. Sorry it's not anything more spectacular than that I'm afraid.
  7. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Real World Chronicles...</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Everything in post #2 coloured green has been done on the actual database now for July's release. I am currently trying to tidy Mexico up a bit but it will be a very long work in progress as I am working on improving the psychology stat for a lot of them. I tidied up DDT a little in Japan too, removing workers who no longer appear that regularly (or who had made a few appearances and now have gone back to their "home" promotion).</p><p> </p><p> There are around another 25 workers I want to get added before release but those in CMLL are my priority so the rest will wait until after then. By release you're probably looking at around 50 new workers (I know it might not seem like a lot but when you factor in all the other work that has gone in, 50 is about the right amount for this update). It takes the worker count to about 2510, which is 510 workers more than I said I'd ever add in the beginning.</p><p> </p><p> I doubt all the women for the Mae Young tournament will be in by release, because they will need to be researched (something I have no time to do as Mexico is my priority). I think I'm missing Victoria Gonzales, Julia Ho and Zhao Xia from the list I was given in this thread.</p><p> </p><p> Derek B has worked on everyone from ZZ Loupe to Drago fixing various stats and also ensuring that the fog of war works nicely with the mod for those who prefer to play with it switched on. He really has done a good job so far on that front and it does play much better (at least in terms of the guys he has worked on).</p>

  9. Updated post #2 with everything mentioned plus some things I found out whilst starting my Mexico research.
  10. Thanks for the updates. Earth -2 is coming along nicely, especially with the final promotion being almost finished for the beta release. 20 active promotions to kick things off and once I hit 700 workers (16 to go) I will release it for people to play and make suggestions. Remember to keep in mind this is based in an alternate universe so stats, overness and retired/not retired may not reflect the real life wrestlers for a lot of them. Nearly all titles have lineages done, and no, they are not mirrors of the real life holders. I've spent hours creating my own to fit in with the world. For example, Gorilla Monsoon was the first IC Champion. Pat Patterson was the first man to win the belt twice. The NWA didn't come into effect until 1985 so the title lineages I include at release will start in January 1985 with Rick Martel being the first holder of the NWA National Heavyweight title (it is not a World belt as it has only been defended in USA at present). Martel and Tom Prichard are the only 2 men to have held the belt twice. The Japanese Wrestling Alliance have been around much longer and are the oldest of the alliances. Their title lineages span back to 1960 with Rikidozan being the first holder of the Japanese Heavyweight title, with Giant Baba holding it the most (4 times). Here is what you get to play with in terms of promotions upon release of the beta/demo... Canada Calgary Stampede Wrestling (Owned by Keith Hart and booked by Bruce Hart) Canadian National Wrestling Alliance (Owned by Smith Hart and booked by Billy Red Lyons) United States American Wrestling Alliance (Owned by Verne Gagne and booked by Arn Anderson) Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (CEO is Jackie Stallone and booked by Judy Martin) Pro Wrestling Zero 1 (USA) (CEO is Harley Race and booked by Joe Pedicino) Pro Wrestling USA (CEO is Tony Rumble and booked by Kevin Sullivan) Southern Championship Class Wrestling (Owned by Jerry Lawler and booked by Tony Schiavone) World Championship Wrestling (Owned by Ted Turner and booked by Stan Hansen) World Wrestling Council (Owned by Carlos Colon and booked by Victor Jovica) World Wrestling Federation (Owned by Vince McMahon and booked by Pat Patterson) Mexico Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (Owned by Francisco Lutteroth and booked by Gran Apache) Universal Wrestling Association (Owned by Ray Mendoza and booked by Black Terry) Pro Wrestling Zero 1 (Mexico) (CEO is La Fiera and booked by Masakre) Japan New Japan Pro Wrestling (CEO is Antonio Inoki and booked by Seiji Sakaguchi) All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling (Owned by Takashi Matsunaga and booked by Chigusa Nagayo) All Japan Pro Wrestling (Owned by Giant Baba and booked by Hiro Matsuda) Pro Wrestling Zero 1 (Japan) (CEO and booked by Akira Fukuzawa) Pro Wrestling KAGEKI (CEO is Tiger Mask and booked by Tatsukuni Asano) British Isles All Star Wrestling (Owned and booked by Brian Dixon) Europe Catch Wrestling Association (Owned by Otto Wanz and booked by Igor Strogoff)
  11. <p>Rocket League. Does any one actually play this "physics" based game that relies on no physics whatsoever? Ball bounces at angles it couldn't possibly bounce based on the speed and direction you hit it, ball bouncing in front of your goal 9 out of 10 times from a random defensive hit, no consistency on how hard you hit the ball based on it's speed or direction. It is an absolute random rubbish, laggy game that I can't believe even got a release let alone seems to be as popular as it is. Going 3-0 up using as much skill as possible just to be pegged back by 3 lucky bounces from nothing.</p><p> </p><p> Zero skill is involved in this game because even if you are an absolute God, you can still get undone by the most bizarre and random "WTF" and "how in the hell" bounces that physics just would not allow in the real world. I get it, games are supposed to be fun and not realistic but this claims to be a physics based game which it isn't. It is also far from fun because how do you play a game that decides your opponent is going to get the luck of every bounce - even when they are just jumping around hitting it randomly with no skill?</p><p> </p><p> Before any one says "it's because you're rubbish at it", trust me, I really am not. I'm not the greatest gamer in the world, but I am far from rubbish. Even with my team seemingly given handicaps during a match (ie ball bouncing further towards our goal from opponents end than hitting it the same speed does when clearing from our end) we still manage some big victories, but only because we have to work 10 times harder than our opponents to get anything out of the game because they are having all the luck when it comes to where the ball bounces for them.</p><p> </p><p> It's just a terrible, terrible game, and to be honest the term "game" is used very loosely here because a game would actually involve some measure of skill rather than the AI seemingly handicapping one team on a constant basis.</p>

  15. <p>Derek B has been working on RWC this last month to make things run better in terms of stats and also improving things for anyone who wants to play the data with Fog of War turned on (amongst other things).</p><p> </p><p> I will resume updating around mid-June when he has done what he needs to do with the data. Providing we have no issues then the improved RWC will be released beginning of July.</p><p> </p><p> Whilst not working on RWC, it has given me time to work on Earth-2 which will hopefully get a "demo" release about the same time as RWC, maybe just before.</p>

With nGo it is very much down to when justtxyank releases a new update so mod makers then either have to wait for an update to the nGo pack to be done incorporating pictures they have found/want to use in their release or end up releasing a mod with workers who have no pictures because the shared pack doesn't (at that point) have everyone they want to use. The only way that will happen is if nGo/mSp have every worker from every era.</p>

  18. Earth-2 Update Earth-2 has just hit the 600 worker mark. Almost ready for the beta/data demo to be released. I have 19 active promotions and 2 to open so far. That 2 will probably end up being more like 20 upon full release with hopefully 30 starting promotions. A full release will likely be when I hit the 2000 mark in terms of workers so we have a loooooong way until then. I am going to try to make use of every feature when the full data is released as I am looking for this to be a long term data set that you can play in game for 30 years+ I don't think I've been more excited working on a mod in years as I believe I really am putting together a unique data set that I am almost certain will be some of my best work by the time the full version is released.

Try downloading again later and open with Winrar.<img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Just downloaded and tested it so it's nothing to do with the link. Not really sure what I can suggest.</p>
  21. <p>So today I have done some work on Earth-2. I'm at 562 workers and 20 promotions.</p><p> </p><p> Here is one of the changes you'll notice in terms of promotions that would not have been around in 1990 on our Earth.</p><p> </p><p> Pro-Wrestling Zero-1, Pro-Wrestling Zero-1 (USA) and Pro-Wrestling Zero-1 (Mexico) are in the Pro-Wrestling Zero-One World, which is an alliance that shares workers and finances. Each promotion has it's own title (Zero-1 United States Heavyweight, Zero-1 Japanese Heavyweight and Zero-1 Campeone Mexicana respectively) but also alliance titles the Zero-1 World Heavyweight, Zero-1 World Tag Team and Zero-1 Cruiserweight. They are run more as a big promotion over 3 areas than 3 separate promotions (which is where your imagination comes into play).</p><p> </p><p> I have decided that once this is finished I will release a beta so you can see what to expect. It will <span style="text-decoration:underline;">not</span> be a release that you can play long term games with as it won't have many (if any) future workers until the full release, but it will give you an insight into what to expect.</p>

While they weren't in the data aet, they are mentioned in several character profiles, like Scorpio Sky. Rules to requests are in the first page and they haven't been met. Ive never seen this promotion so any workers I've not seen wrestle will end up being done randomly stats wise as I've not got time to watch their events. Plus which promotion that I've already worked on should I remove?</p>

I'm hoping to get a couple of hours on it Sunday as the weather is supposed to be horrible.</p>
  24. I bought Andromeda last week (on sale) but haven't even installed it to my Xbox yet. I'm in no rush to play it as currently I'm having fun (still) with Ghost Recon Wildlands. Yeah the missions are pretty "samey" but it's good fun playing it with friends, splitting off and doing your own things and then meeting up for the mission. Also still have a few other games installed I am more eager to play so Andromeda may very well have to wait a while before I fire it up. Just as well there are no games until Red Dead Redemption 2 that I am waiting for.
