  1. The Assassin (Jody Hamilton) doesn't start managing Paul Orndorff until October 1993. I don't think Assassin shows up on WCW TV until right around the build to Slamboree in May. As for Orndorff, he debuts/returns to WCW in January, so he wouldn't even be established yet.
  2. In the 1980s, the WWF had several Saturday Night Main Event specials on NBC (and two specials in 1984/85 on MTV). and in many cases, the specials were used as a way to gain exposure and help with buys for an upcoming PPV. It is believed that the March 1987 SNME where Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant wrestled in a battle royal played a huge part in the massive buys and success for Wrestlemania 3. My question is if this is reflected in TEW 2020 and would it work in this mod to do both NBC specials and PPVs? Or does having TV specials hurt potential buyrates? Does it make more sense to turn SNME into PPVs and just pretend it is on NBC? I know this isn't exactly the spot to ask this, but this would be a potential issue when playing this mod. Also wishing you the best Jaysin and take all the time you need to work through your personal issues. I've been there and you need to look after yourself.
  3. i always prefer mods to leave time decline alone unless it is established the wrestler is already declining by the description. I prefer leaving it up to the game, so that Sam Strong or Rip Chord have a chance for a surprisingly long run or just a small run for a year where they pass the torch to a BLZ Bub or Liberty.
  4. Maybe I missed it, but is the start date 1975 or 1977? My preference would be 1975, because isn't that right around when SWF launches? It would be kind of fun to build the powerhouse right from the start. Not that 1977 is that far along. I know it has been talked to death in the 1997 mod, but is there any plans to beef up the amount of women in CV at all with this mod? I always like to try to launch a women's division in SWF, and i think, they already have Dixie Diamond on the roster at this point.

Some more wouldn’t hurt, I suppose, but there are quite a few already.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Jerry Allen was a staple WWF jobber that had a bit of cred in the territories that always seemed to be missing from most mods. I think. Ron Shaw is missing from this specific mod. Those are two off the top of my head. Is Angelo Mosca JR in this mod?</p>
  6. sorry to nitpick, because the idea is cool but if nothing about WWF was supposed to change prior to <em>Over the Edge '99 </em> then Kurt Angle hasn't debuted yet, so being in a tag match with Mark Henry would have been really jarring. In the end, it doesn't really matter but was just pointing it out for realism sake. Sorry for being a silly stickler.
  7. I've always wanted Mad Maxine to be part of this database. She was originally pegged to be Wendi Richter's challenger after Wrestlemania and at one point, there was images of her cartoon character that was supposed to be in Hulk Hogan's Rock and Wrestling cartoon. She ended up only being in WWF for a cup of coffee and her character got replaced by Fabulous Moolah in the series. She ended up never being a big deal, so I get her not being included but she has been in other Mods, and this is the one that she'd have had the best potential to be a star. Also if you watch WWF shows from this time, Richter got a hell of a pop only rivaled by Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant types. I am sure a lot of it was due to Cyndi Lauper but I don't think most Mods really understand that was she a legit star for a short period and if WWF gave a shit about women's wrestling that she could have been a top draw in 1980s WWF. I would love for that to be reflected better this time.
  8. Fair enough. I do think my other examples are valid and show there is a history of doing things a little outside of a product definition that actually increases viewership and draws money. Also the Slaughter and Sheik bootcamp matches were happening when Hulk Hogan was champ and they were about to introduce Cyndi Lauper to launch Rock and Roll Wrestling, so I think that applies some even if it was a transition period but they were starting to appeal to kids.
  9. I'm sorry about bringing up product again and my issue probably isn't even just with TEW 2020, but rather one when it comes to realism. I am not sure if this correction can even be made without a total overhaul of the code but maybe something Adam can consider in future installments if he is going for authentic and realistic experience. I understand what he is going for in the penalty for an eye candy match in most products or fan's rejecting risky angles or violent matches or risky bumps in many products. I actually think in most cases that all those things would be very effective in extreme moderation. For example, the first time Sable took on Luna Vachon in an evening gown match at the Unforgiven PPV, it was without a doubt one of the major draws of the PPV and the crowd was very into it. Sable without much wrestling talent was one of the top rating draws throughout 1998. But she also wasn't over exposed and instead they built to the big sex appeal stuff like the Fully Loaded bikini contest. But when they overdid the T&A stuff in the upcoming years, then it stopped drawing. I think occasional T&A should actually pop a score but if you use it more than a few times a year then the penalty should surface. Even for a family product, SummerSlam 88 has Elizabeth show some leg and it popped a crowd, but that was like one of the few times they used eye candy, so it was effective. Speaking of 1980s WWF, Hulk Hogan bleed in the main even of Wrestlemania 5 and then did it again at Wrestlemania 7 (okay, early 90s), because it was so rare, it was effective to add drama in those matches. This would be considered Family Sports Entertainment, but since it was every few years, it was very effective. I also think an audience of any product is more willing to accept risque material when it is PPV rather than TV. Plus you had the famous boot camp matches between Pat Patterson and Sgt Slaughter and then a few years later Slaughter and Iron Sheik. They were huge draws in the more family WWF because there were no other matches like it on the cards. Same thing with two angles that I still remember now that I witnessed when I was younger. Outlaw Ron Bass cut up Brutus Beefcake's face with spurs and he juiced. Then the famous Rocker break-up when Shawn Michaels threw Marty Jannetty through a Barbershop window and Jannetty bleed. In both cases, it was a family product, but since we saw blood only every few years on free TV, they were super effective angles that are remembered. When Shawn Michaels took the big bump in the first Hell in the Cell it was huge and same with Mankind in his Hell in the Cell, It was because those bumps were rare. I think, a high risk bump every few years would be effective with a crowd and the problem is when it is over used that it harms a product that isn't demanding them (like family or modern sports entertainment). My point is that I don't think there should be a penalty the first time a company uses a risque or controversial angle/match that doesn't fit a product (but also isn't too extreme -- death match is too far), Actually, instead it should pop a score because it is so different than what the crowd is used to seeing. But then if it keeps on being used after then it should start having the negative deductions. I am not sure what kind of hell that would do with programming or if it is even feasible. I feel as if, it does take away the realism not being able to do an occasional controversial angle as in real life, it would probably draw money if done in small doses. Anyway, just an idea.
