  1. While your talent may be 'percieved' as Main Eventers/Major Stars, that note comes from an overness standpoint. I'm not exactly sure about this years game as I've yet to run a modern day WWE save where the threshold is so high. But last year it was an issue because even the Main Eventers aren't popular enough for the network. There is a number probably between 70-80. So even 10 matches featuring main eventers on the show, if none of them are at that marker they won't be classes as 'big names'.
  2. <p>The tournament function simply sets up the brackets. You still have to manually book matches on the show. However it'll keep track of who wins/loses and the next rounds are set up depending on where you put your wrestlers. (Position 1 Side A vs Position 1 Side B) etc. </p><p> </p><p> If you want an entire card to be the tournament, you'll still have to book the matches manually. I haven't seen a way to just auto book including tournament matches so far. It'd be a useful feature.</p>
  3. You should still be able to find workers even if they've yet to debut however. Double check the in game editor just to be sure. Under workers. It is possible Kurt Angle is used in the 'worker names' section but isn't in the database as a worker for whatever reason. Might be worth checking that also. As the name being in the database even if the worker isn't, may stop the import from working.
  4. Could just be a glitch in the conversion. You could always change his name in the database you're trying to import him from. Then if the original Angle does pop up simply turn him inactive. However since you're new to the game when you say 'search the database' do you mean just the list of workers or the actual in game editor? He may be set to debut at a later date (Some mod makers put his debut later than when he technically entered wrestling)
  5. B shows shouldn't count. However it may be something to do with the Economy and Industry falling. You can check this by clicking gameworld. (The globe icon). It may have drastically dipped meaning less people are buying the pay per views because overall interest in wrestling as a whole has declined in your era. Though I'd say its perfectly reasonable and realistic. Its what I personally expected with AEW. An initial spike in people buying the first event or two before a slow decline to a more steady fanbase. Though I've not done the research to see if this is accurate. However it is true holding more than one event per month will mean less PPV buys. So double check the gameworld for Economy & Industry levels first
  6. My problem is creating the stories, I guess half the battle is the teams in their current gimmick just feel uninteresting or stale. So rebooting some of the characters might be the way to go. Short, sharp, shift and bring them to life for me to get some inspiration. If Wolfie D & JC Ice could pull anything above a 25 in performance then PG13 with their rapping gimmicks could mesh with The Headbangers. Godwinns deffo need a shake up as Pig Farmers just doesn't quite cut it. Turning them heel and going more Deliverance would be ideal if I had the right opponents/gimmicks to go up against.
  7. TNT seems to be a cable subscription model, with WCW having other TV deals in place. Comparing WWF's USA and WCW's TNT ratings isn't going to really work like it would have been in real life. Have to combine all of WCW's deals and compare it to WWF's for a full TV rating. For the USA/TNT battle its always going to look skewed sadly.
  8. <p>Well Vinny Mac gave up on the Attitude era pretty early</p><p> </p><p> <a href="https://i.imgur.com/LaEAkok.png" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/LaEAkok.png</a></p><p> </p><p> I'm wondering how much this will affect my booking going forward. Initially the match/angle ratio will be good as the 40/60 split with short angles was holding me back with quite a slim roster. I'd far rather put on more albeit shorter matches.</p>

Mine STINKS and Vince won’t let me hire the Road Warriors as one of my owner goals is to not poach from a Medium sized company.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I lost out to LOD as WCW outbid me early on. My tag division stinks also. CanAm Express, Crush & Wrath, PG13, Godwinns, Headbangers, New Blackjacks and Too much. None of them are over enough. I could have kept the tag titles on Owen/Bulldog for longer but I find it easier to get teams over when the belts are involved.</p><p> </p><p> With various combinations of the Nation, the New Age Outlaws could be formed, Vader & Sid can come together there is some star power there. I'm just struggling to book the tag division other than matches here and there. Storywise its quite tough. It doesn't help a few are still babyface, Headbangers, Godwinns for example. Need another few weeks to a month to turn one of them heel.</p>
  10. WWF - June '97 WWF Champion - Steve Austin (won the Vacated title at Wrestlemania 13 after HBK injury) WWF IC Champion - Brian Pillman (Def. Goldust at IYH in April) WWF Tag Team Champions - Crime & Punishment, Crush & Wrath (Def. New Blackjacks on Raw night after Wrestlemania)
  11. By sheer coincidence (given real world happenings) after going through the entire Nation, Savio, Crush, D'Lo, Kama and Farooq finally at Wrestlemania. Ahmed Johnson is white hot and my third most popular babyface heading into KOTR '97. Sure he legit injured Savio, Kama and Crush but its Ahmed Johnson so at least its realistic. I'm torn between replicating real life somewhat and having Rocky turn on him, join the Nation and go over Ahmed. Or just go all in and have Ahmed have a mini run with the WWF title. With the Hart Foundation vs Austin going on prepping for Hart vs Austin at some point, HBK still out injured and Taker involved with other things. Logically Ahmed could win the KOTR, face Austin at Summerslam and have some chicanary leading to Ahmeds shock win. However sacrificing someone so over and with white hot momentum, Rocky going over as a heel would bump up a more long term Main Event prospect.
  12. I'd assume the WCW was low because the ME was rated low if you're using main event match focus. I've had that bite me a few times in my WWF save. I've had opening or mid card bouts hit high 80's or low 90's while a main event barely hit 80 because of chemistry or misjudging agent notes combined with using wild brawls etc to mix things up. For a first show 81 is perfectly fine though, 88 for the WWF is really good. Usually takes me a good month or two to reach that as I often save big matches for PPV.
  13. In my mind, Junior is more of a Japenese thing when it comes to titles. See NJPW Best of the Super Junior as an example. Other than Light Heavyweight, Flyweight would be a good options. Boxing has used that and it would fit in with a more high flying, risk taking, daredevil style. Purely because of what the word 'fly' implies. There's other boxing weight classes but flyweight sounds good and I'd go that route myself if my knowledge of Mid to late 90's lucha talent was high enough. Another option which might sound a bit campy would be the 'Super Astros' title. WWF trialled a show called Super Astros mainly for the spanish market and did feature many Mexian and Japanese stars mixed with lower card WWF talent. Super Astros bascially means Superstars but it sounds more exciting. WWF Super Astros Championship does sound decent off the tongue, I'd imagine more so said in an authentic spanish accent. I guess it dpends if you want to keep it sounding legit, or more sports entertain-y
  14. Chemistry can be set up in the 'pre editor' via the Main Screen but will only affect new saves on that database. New chemistry is random, as far as I have discovered. There's no way to know other than from house show booking or direct matches/angles etc. Chemistry from the office screen will only show 'discovered' chemistry and cannot be changed. If Austin vs Rock for example have horrible chemistry as opponents this won't get better regardless of how many matches they have. So unless there's a chemistry built into the speficic database the only way of finding these is from trial and error over time by booking shows etc
  15. I had no idea about that! Good spot, the bonus of this being there's a logo for it incase you're doing a diary or like doing graphics for Youtube or anything like that https://i.imgur.com/bVNMkto.png
  16. Rage in the Cage was actually an early suggestion for what would become known as Hell in a Cell, according to Jim Cornette and he envisioned that match being a War Games style cage. So I would keep Hell in a Cell as is and use Rage in the Cage for the War Games match personally
  17. Hardys had been wrestling for the WWF on pay per appearances deals since 94/95 and been extras/jobbers on numerous shows. They didn't sign proper deals till 98 though. I remember in TEW'16 a few of the mods had OMEGA in the database and Matt was the owner/booker and you couldn't sign him to a proper deal untill OMEGA wen't bust or you bought them out. This way Hardus are free to be signed and pushed from the get go.
  18. https://i.imgur.com/LhMTJwG.png The first Austin/Bret match was meant to be a double pinfall but I think I added Austin as the winner, either way worked out story wise. As you can see the card basically involved mostly major stars - well knowns, as I play into the mindset of not everyone needs to be on a big PPV unless involved in a hot angle. Rocky going over Sid first was to try push Rocky while the tag title match was just a buffer between hot matches. Considering HBK went down 2 weeks before this, turned out great
  19. https://i.imgur.com/mVKxEkr.png Those are my show ratings. Angle focus tight and match focus on Main Event. The trick is to have one really hot angle and one really good Main Event but make sure you also have one good angle and another good match on the card. WWF's mid card is not the best around this time period, so I focussed my first few months around the top guys and top stories. The mid card angles took part in short segments and short matches just to fill out the show and hopefully gain some pop along the way. With Rumble - Mania being an important time it made sense to put all my eggs in the main event basket until Mania is over. Then you can focus on the mid to under card, and the tag division.
  20. I could have replicated real life, but yup Austin vs Bret at Mania and winner faced Taker that night for the title. Strap on Austin opens up some opportunities for sure with the turn happening that night too. The real struggle is the tag division. Trying to stop myself putting The New Age Outlaws together too early but may have to. Blackjacks, Headbangers, Godwinns etc. Urgh. The Vader/Mankind vs Owen/Bulldog deal has been a slog to book up to this point and they seem wasted in that scene. LOD chose to WCW over me annoyingly, or that would have been a good fix. Almost stuck Austin & Pillman back together which could have been fun for 6 months, but HBK's injury much like real life kind of messed some things up
  21. Been playing around with this Mod before diving into a proper save with it. Doesn't feel all that different to a 2016 mod but that's a good thing. The new personalty traits make it more interesting so far, especially having certain guys gaining new catchphrases or having groundswell of support. Jake Roberts having 'personal issues' is a tricky thing to navigate despite being very valuable as an older legend to put people over. That being said I'm 2 weeks out from Wrestlemania 13 and HBK just went down with a 4 month injury. Nothing to do with the mod per say but man that really stinks up my WWF title match. Do I just strap the rocket to Austin a year early or have Taker vs Sid (Which tanked at IYH) and take the loss. I think with historical mods especially these are the most frustrating, challenging but fun times.
  22. Well it can't go any worse than the Nexus in 2010 https://i.imgur.com/DanCk8M.png (I really need to sort out my picture packs)
  23. Most clicks, seems the new default screens may be renamed as well as redone so they just 'arent there; using the KTB skin. First noticed when loadin up into a save from the booking screen, clicking on office, arena select etc, instant run time errors
  24. That's what I was suggesting tbh, totally agree. Default is nicer than before right now for sure
  25. I'm glad, whenever I click on a new screen using KTB skin with full release, runtime errors like a 'screen' isn't there
