  1. <p>So, after watching the two WAW shows in December, I've been toying with the following...</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s1320.photobucket.com/user/TsuMirren/media/WAW-Poster_zpsdodjuenu.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u530/TsuMirren/WAW-Poster_zpsdodjuenu.jpg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p>
  2. NJPW ever closing just provea that TEW is flawed on a grand scale. The ai should apparently adapt, make changes to stop major losses for example. But, through testing and working on various mods it's become apparent that just isn't the case. Closing inside 5 years just shows there's a major flaw in there somewhere...maybe it's wages, maybe it's the promotion not hiring enough lower level guys, who knows. Even if, we, the Mod Squad made a colossal **** of the mod and didn't pad out future workers enough or balance starting workers you'd hope the ai would adapt. Breaks between tours should offer a natural reset point for finances etc. Anyway, interesting diary concept and I'm looking forward to seeing how the UK & Europe plays out.

It's been looking every diary write, who writes post-96, in the eyes. They've all blinked, but not you.</p><p> </p><p> It's Gene Okerlund isn't it, oh genius. His son Todd is going to pass on the money he made along with Al Burke when they repackaged and licensed the UWF tape library. You're a visionary Beejus, absolute visionary. One question though brrrrrrrrother...whatcha gonna do, when the money runs out halfway through the next TV taping on you???</p>
  4. Just started getting back in to RoH, indeed I've turned WWE 2K18 in to RoH...I have to be the saddest 44 year old in Scotland. Aaaaaaaaanyway, looking forward to watching this unfold.

Personally, it gives me a bit of narrative sense to my booking choices and limits me from just doing whatever gives me the best numbers as a result. For example, I'm doing a GSW diary atm. Every time I play another company, I see GSW hiring people like Jake Idol and Big Smack Scott, but I've limited my hiring to Black and non-masked Hispanic workers, only hiring white workers if they fit some blaxploitation villain stereotype (corrupt/racist policeman, businessman, politician, redneck etc) because I feel that all keeps the special "ghetto" flavor/vibe of the promotion.<p> </p><p> That said, you could just use a diary to record and share your save. It could be a chance for you to write out the promos and flesh out the characters. I've seen people who make their diaries interactive and give readers a chance to influence something in their game. Sky's the limit!</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's the only way I can play now, which is why my last two diaries have also been a little bit different...last four actually. 80s UK, All Star in 94, Herb and a bit of NCW. Also saves me chuckling to myself and half imaging promos etc as I play. </p><p> </p><p> It's also the closest I'll probably get to promoting ever again.</p>

  14. One quick thought on it is that replacing Palumbo with London gives the balance of both teams having two flyers. Daniels can also promo about the folly of youth and Kidman not having the experience or tools to really develop London etc. I also don't think that even in a fictional world could Abyss hang with Takayama. Clark repackaged could work, though I'm struggling with the concept of a face group led by Vampiro if honest as the natural association to Vampiro would be a goth style, depends how you're wanting to label the group. I suppose Clark could be a mercenary, constantly being checked that he understands the plan, replying he is fine so long as he's being paid and could be your obvious turn should you need Vampiro to lose.

Buuut, I have a few questions first:</p><p> </p><p> 1) Is there any tips when it comes to write matches for unknown wrestlers ? My main problem is that, while I do imagine pretty quickly how I want it to go (aka "It'll be an open match, where A the main eventer is the most dangerous but B, a young upper midcarder, is still putting some good offense but eventually A counters B's finisher and wins"), I don't know how to give it more "flesh" so that every match doesn't read the same after a while. And since I'm using mostly unknown wrestlers, I can't rely on the readers picturing by themselves how a Ragnar Rok vs Jack Spayne would go the same way they would for a Rusev vs Matt Hardy. (Alternatively, if one of you really loves to write matches but doesn't feel like writing all the rest, we can talk <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> )</p><p> </p><p> 2) How much infos would you ideally need about the workers ? I intend to develop their personalities with promos, etc, but I think it would be easier for you to understand that Pauline destroying Bulla Punk is an impressive feature if you know what the two look like. Same goes for the finishers, etc: if I tell you Dick Riviere uses the 3 Chord Song to end the match, you won't imagine it as easily as if I told you before the 3 Chord Song is really a Lionsault.</p><p> Additionally, how important would pictures be in the shows ? Not surprisingly perhaps, some of the guys in the mods are difficult to find pictures for, even more pictures the right size. Even in TEW, one or two have terrible pictures, not to mention the backgrounds are anything but the same for each, and I'd hate to make it look ridiculous or to bother people asking for help making it "clean" (I'm trying to make it by my own, but let's say I have no talent for this and leave it at that <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> )</p><p> </p><p> 3) Is there someone who would like to "coach" me and work as a beta reader (or maybe even a co-booker, helping with match aims and crowd control), so that I make it last long enough to get to the good stuff and the PPV concepts I found when I was bored ? I already have the storylines more or less prepared (maybe not down to the details, but that would make for a more interesting read if everything isn't too set in the stone), and once I've found a good way to write matches, I should have a few shows to post the following week, but a second opinion from an experienced player/writer is always welcome and useful.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I don't have much advice, but if that's the real life ICWA then wow! Which Mod are you using?</p>
  22. Good to see that the Mods I've contributed towards are now in double figures.
  23. Name: The Thistle Arena Location: Scotland Capacity: 5000 Languages: English Hotbed? Yes Bio: The best arena in Scotland, which has hosted shows for all the top North American promotions. Name: The Rock Cavern Location: Central England Capacity: 500 Languages: English Hotbed? No Bio: Formerly the Leeds hotspot for the best independent bands and alternative comedians. Now a respected wrestling venue too, with the atmosphere always being hot and action packed. Name: Sur L'Eau Location: France Capacity: 400 Languages: English, French Hotbed? Yes Bio: As the name alludes to, this venue is basically a wrestling ring on the water. Located just outside Rouen, it's almost become a badge of honour to work there.

On my tablet I can't see post #2 unless I scroll or view portrait. I never scroll through Mod threads, just read the opening post, and then just click to the last page. It's not like FM where I feel a need, on first ever visit, to read the entire thread.</p>
