  1. If there was all downside and no upside to booking those kind of finishes, you'd think they would avoid them entirely, right? Then why are they used at all in the biggest Puro company on the planet?
  2. There is a difference between turning your fans off like the Seth vs Fiend Hell in a Cell Match finish and building heat by having heels be heels. One is a legit booking tool and the other is genuine backlash. Why would a company ever run heels being heels if the fans reacted like they did to that Seth vs Fiend Cell Match? They wouldn't, so you would never be able to properly use non-clean finishes legitimately. Are you saying NJPW fans literally go "That was dumb, I'm considering not paying this company money again" or do they go "I hate the Bullet Club?"
  3. Yeah, it's definitely a step in the right direction overall, but the option to have your own custom products should have been a thing that was included. The products included aren't perfect. There are a few things wrong about them, the glaring one being all "Sports based" companies preclude you from having good guys and bad guys, if everyone plays fair can you really have faces and heels? Even in "legit" competition there will always be that guy that will do anything to win, up to and including cheating and there is a difference between turning the fans off from doing so and getting legit heel heat for it.
  4. They may have genuinely had a different opinion than everyone else. Do I think TEW 2020 is perfect? No. Do I think it's a huge improvement over 2016? Yes. There are a few things I'd liked changed or added, but overall I am happy. I just want more freedom with products, mainly. Though I am tempted to see how big I can grow an "Adult Risque" company once the full release is out.
  5. The problem is that there isn't an existing product in the game for literally every conceivable situation and to expect Adam to be able to add them to the game is asking a lot. Vince McMahon "created" the Sports Entertainment style product, who's to say someone making their own company in TEW can't do the same for a different style? Plus the whole Puro always needing clean finishes or else the fans get turned off, I'd like to introduce you to one of the biggest things in modern wrestling - The Bullet Club.
  6. The WWE Network in Canada is actually a TV Channel. You get access to the online portion too, but you add it as a channel to your cable package and I can access it like any other TV channel, I think the TV Channel is just the online network's "live stream"
  7. One of my gripes is all the puro products seem to only allow for clean finishes. Tell that to NJPW and the Bullet Club.
  8. The problem isn't the feature itself really, but it's almost impossible for Adam to add every single conceivable product to the game, so the ability to make our own would be ideal, if at all possible. Why can't I make a Comedy Hardcore company? I understand that it might have been changed to prevent people from picking a product that has minimal penalties and maximum benefits, but if someone wants to play like that in a sandbox game like TEW where you can just edit to give yourself millions of $$$ anyways, why not let them?
  9. I think Avantgarde Puroresu is supposed to be like DDT? I'm not overly familiar with Japanese wrestling. But overall I like the new product system, I just wish we had the option of customizing them at least a little bit to tweak them to our liking. Maybe an option to build a product from the ground up, but I'm not sure that is possible, depending on how the game is coded. At the least I think Adam should and possibly will add more product choices in the future, so we can all hopefully find the perfect one for us.
  10. I really like the new perception system, all I did in 2016 was use the auto push feature once a month after my PPVs where the biggest popularity changes happened.
  11. It's going to take some getting used to the new UI, but overall it's greatly improved over the previous releases. Things like keyboard scrolling, and such being added to more screens is something he said he's looking into, one of my main gripes was road agent notes requiring clicks, for example. I also hope he allows more customization in the products, or adds more choices, as I can't quite find one that gives me what I want with the desired match:angle ratios, etc. But overall, I look forward to the full release.
  12. The first time I ran a show I had to look around the screen to find out where the rating was.
  13. The fighting option in angles should just use their highest stat. Like if Brock Lesnar and Ricochet got into a fighting angle, there is no reason Ricochet would try to go toe to toe in a brawl with him, he would use his speed and high flying skills to try and fight him off.
  14. You should at least be able to customize the preset products to an extent. Things like match to angle ratios at the very least. Of course an option where you can build your own product from the ground up would be nice, because there is always a first time for everything you know? Someone, somewhere is going to invent some new kind of wrestling product, might as well be you? It would also be nice if the products told you how long is too long when it says things like "the crowd likes short angles" how short is short? There is no reason to not tell us because once you figured it out you know anyways, it's not like some big secret thing. It already tells you the ideal minimum match length, no reason it can't just tell you the ideal minimum and maximum length for matches and angles.
  15. Not sure how it works in 2020, I assume the say way it did in 2016, but in 2016 the parent company absorbed all profits and losses each month of all their children companies. The game will basically zero you out each month. So if you ended with cash on hand it all goes to WWE, and if you had a negative balance, they'd give you cash to zero out. I am basing this off how it worked in 2016, but I don't think it'd change much in 2020, running a child promotion isn't like running your own company, there is zero risk of going out of business because your parent company eats your losses, but you also can't earn money for yourself. Someone correct me if I am wrong here, as i haven't had the chance to play as a child promotion yet in 2020.
  16. <p>Picking just two dream matches is going to be tough, I'd have to go with</p><p> </p><p> Keith Lee vs Brock Lesnar</p><p> Prime Kurt Angle vs Matt Riddle</p>
  17. My favourite moment was when Edge cashed in the first ever Money in the Bank. It set the tone for all future cash ins. Plus, Edge & Christian were two of my favourite wrestlers growing up, so seeing Edge win the WWE Championship when I was older was a cool moment.
  18. <p>I am currently in April 2020 in my Zero to Hero created promotion, the WWA. I am currently the #1 promotion in the world, based in Canada.</p><p> </p><p> My company's popularity for each territory</p><p> </p><p> USA - 86ish throughout</p><p> Canada - 88/89 throughout</p><p> British Isles - 91</p><p> Japan - 92 </p><p> Mexico - 83</p><p> Europe - 69</p><p> Australia - 49</p><p> </p><p> I would be higher in Canada, but I wasn't getting popularity there for awhile due to poor industry/economy. I have 7 child promotions, three of which I made myself, and 4 are ones I bought out (CGC, DIW, MHW, WINNOW), all of which are broadcasted on my created network. I'd be making over 20 million dollars profit a month if I didn't create a consortium alliance, each member makes about 3-4 million profit per month instead. The WWA is literally trying to grow the wrestling industry. Once the CGC, DIW, MHW and WINNOW are big enough they will be let go from their obligation as a child promotion and once again be independent. </p><p> </p><p> The WWA created the GWA in January 2020. I also have almost 120 active wrestlers, with probably that many in developmental (not everyone gets out of dev, but being in dev gives them exposure on my created network as all 7 child companies are broadcast there, making it easier to potentially get work if I let their contracts expire), since my roster is so large, I run 3 shows per week, 3 brands. 2 Men's and 1 Women's Brand. </p><p> </p><p> The members of the GWA are</p><p> </p><p> WWA (Me)</p><p> NOTBPW</p><p> PWA (Former Dev territory I ended the relationship with so they could be independent, they're based in the UK)</p><p> TCW</p><p> WLW</p><p> </p><p> My user character is actually the Universal Champion of the entire GWA, which led me to being loaned to NOTBPW and I won the Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup with Gargantuan, thanks AI booking lol</p><p> </p><p> I'll post more later, my rosters, champions, storylines, etc. but I don't have time atm to write it all out.</p>
  19. <p>So, I am in August 2019, my user character was one I had previously made for RTG, but other than that it wasn't a RTG game as I am the owner of a company. Corvin Leon is my user character.</p><p> </p><p> My roster is kind of stacked at the moment, I think I need to make a brand split... you tell me, haha. Jack Bruce I just use his 100 popularity and have him lose to someone on the cusp of hitting the main event. (Masaru Ugaki got 10 pts in pop when he beat Jack Bruce, for example)</p><p> </p><p> I am also hoping to get some "Once in a Lifetime" matches out of Bruce before he retires.</p>
  20. <p>I'm trying something I've never done before.... a comedy promotion. My product is</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Key Features:</strong> Comedy</p><p> <strong>Heavy Features:</strong> Mainstream</p><p> <strong>Medium Features:</strong> Risque and Modern</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Women's Wrestling:</strong> Integrated</p><p> </p><p> I plan on having a World Championship that is treated as seriously as a company can with comedy as a key feature. It won't have anything crazy comedy-wise except the gimmicks of the wrestlers involved, so if you dreamed of watching a serious wrestling match between a stoner and a sci-fi geek this is the place. However... everything else .... I'm trying to come up with some hilarious match stipulations, tournament concepts, title gimmicks, etc.</p><p> </p><p> The only two I can think of is....</p><p> </p><p> Iron Man Championship - a title contest solely in 5-Minute, yes 5-Minute Iron Man matches. I'd create this match type, with the match style definitely Comedy Based. The commentators would praise how much endurance the champion has.</p><p> </p><p> A Tag Team tournament where every team consists of one face and one heel, so the face/heel dynamic is constantly switching sides depending on who is tagged in on each team, with emphasis on comedy. No idea what to call it though.</p><p> </p><p> If anyone has any ideas on what I could add to a comedy promotion I'd like some input. I will be playing in the C-Verse, so if anyone knows workers from the C-Verse indies that can work in the USA that would fit in, I'd like your input.</p><p> </p><p> If you have some wacky title concepts or match gimmicks, I'd like to know.</p>
  21. <p>I managed to steal Jack Bruce away from SWF, though he would only agree to work matches at Events. But I did set his intended role to "Passing the Torch" which is good, since he's 46 and in time decline.</p><p> </p><p> His first match was in a losing effort against KC Glenn, used the keep strong note for Bruce, which had him go from 100 to 99 popularity, while KC Glenn jumped between 3-9 points in popularity throughout Canada where my promotion is located, cementing his auto push into the Main Event. </p><p> </p><p> I know I could have Bruce constantly lose to people and kept strong every time, but that's not realistic, eventually the crowd wouldn't care. I think I'm going to have him win more often than lose, just so it's an actual big deal when he loses. But if there is someone with great in-ring skills and/or SQ I want in the Main Event quickly, the last bit of their push would be to beat Bruce. </p><p> </p><p> In sad news, Sam Keith, who I was using as a Road Agent, passed away in Feb 2019. I bought out MAW way back when, so I think I'm going to revive the Sam Keith Classic, and since MAW was kind of like a training ground for the younger guys on the indys, I think I will make it a tournament, where every team is someone from the main roster "mentoring" someone from developmental, so it's not just a bunch of Main Eventers in a National company battling it out, lol</p>
  22. WWA World Heavyweight Champion Wolf Hawkins WWA Women's Champion Alicia Strong WWA International Champion Kozue Kawashima WWA World Tag Team Champions Mark Griffin & Hugh de Aske WWA Television Champion Seth Whitehead
  23. I've been playing a company in Canada, and I recently created my own Network. I'm still Cult, but I managed to buy out PGHW which actually made my popularity in Japan higher than Canada, LOL Anyways, I have a great roster growing.. I've managed to get Aaron Andrews, Angry Gilmore, Des Davids, Johnny Bloodstone, Sammy Bach, Trent Shaffer and Wolf Hawkins as my main event, along with my user character. I am building up Kozue Kawashima and Masaru Ugaki to be in the Main Event due to their skills and SQ. Glad I got them over to Canada when I bought out PGHW. My user character started trash because it was the character I used last time I did RTG, but he's grown quite a bit so far, and is actually my most over worker (I pushed him to the moon before hitting cult, so I'd have an over worker who could never be stolen, spammed them Menace/Entertainment angles with Murderous Mikey and user char) My user character is actually 99 in Charisma, Microphone and Acting now, and has 90 pop in Canada and he has high 80s Psychology/Basics. My best rated match so far was a 97 between Johnny Bloodstone vs Jay Chord. Best event was a 94. Not too bad for a cult company, I guess. I have a small Women's Division right now, but when I created my Network, I made two developmental territories one for exclusively Men and one exclusively for Women and then I air them both on my Network, which has Big coverage in Canada and the British Isles. I signed about 30 women to developmental contracts, way more than a "Women's Division" would ever need. I have managed to get two 90+ rated matches for my Women's title so far, and a lot of mid-to-high 80s. I'm thinking when the women in developmental are ready, that I'd set my roster to Integrated instead of Division and then creating two brands, one for Men and one for Women. Has anyone done that before? Had an integrated roster, but a Brand split to keep them separate? Wondering if that would mess with auto-pushes if the men are on average more over than the Women. Each brand would have their own weekly 'A' Show and a 'B' Show, and each would have a monthly event. My issue right now is coming up with a name for a midcard singles title for the Women's brand though that doesn't end up being something like long-winded like Women's International Championship or something. This is probably a year+ away in-game though, so I got time to be inspired.
  24. <p>I'm having trouble understanding something here, maybe it's a bug, I honestly can't figure out why it'd be happening.</p><p> </p><p> I recently grew my company enough (by buying out 21CW) to get some additional PPV deals for my Events.</p><p> </p><p> In January 2018, my event was only shown on HYBOSO, I made $1.8mil in PPV revenue that month.</p><p> </p><p> Now, in February and March 2018, I ran my monthly event on HYBOSO (Huge coverage in Japan), V-Corp (Very Small coverage in Europe), PPV-4-U (Medium USA and Small for Canada and Mexico for coverage) and then on the Bloke Channel in Australia, but that's Commercial and would show up in TV Revenue.</p><p> </p><p> My event was shown on HYBOSO as before and two more additional PPV broadcasters, yet my PPV revenue was only $600k.</p><p> </p><p> Why am I making 1/3 the amount in PPV revenue as before? The only thing that's changed is more coverage than before, logic would dictate more money, not less. I am not running any more or less events than prior.</p><p> </p><p> In fact, my company's popularity has grown in the last 2 months, but the last 2 months have been 1/3 the PPV revenue.</p>
  25. <p>I am currently playing a game in Japan, what started as a cult company, has grown into a National behemoth due to PGHW falling to Cult due to importance changes and then they were in the hole about 600k when they listened to a takeover. </p><p> </p><p> I spend 600k to go from C to B popularity in Japan. I immediately got a bigger PPV deal and the increased ticket sales had me at a 700k profit for that same month (thats 700k profit AFTER accounting for the 600k expenditure of buying PGHW), so I literally doubled my investment right away, if only the AI could manage their money... Within like 2 months of buying PGHW out, I raise to National with the absorbed popularity, I am lucky PGHW fell to cult, which allowed me to buy them out. I went from making about 150k per month profits to over a Million per month.</p><p> </p><p> I've turned Gargantuan into a really great worker (I mean, considering where he started), even for my Performance >> Popularity product, he's sitting at A popularity in Japan and has 82 psychology, he gets B or higher in-ring performance every match. Pretty good for someone who's bio says he has "terrible in-ring skills" I'm not even done 2017 and his in-ring skills have grown massively. He was originally only going to be used to spam A* menace angles and also provide much needed SQ for future National battles, but he can also go in the ring and not be entirely carried.</p><p> </p><p> When I pillaged PGHW, I took their world title and unified it with my company's world title, keeping the lineage of the more prestigious PGHW Glory Crown, but renaming it WSW Undisputed World Championship. Razan Okamoto was my World Champion and Yoshimi Mushashibo was the PGHW Champion going into the unification match. Yoshimi walked out with both titles, and I quietly retired my original World title and renamed the PGHW title. </p><p> </p><p> I currently use a normal schedule, with an 'A' Show and a 'B' Show for TV. Monthly Events are twice per month. </p><p> </p><p> Here is my company's information....</p><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:18px;"> </span></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-family:'Arial Black';"><strong>Warrior Spirit Wrestling</strong></span></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Size</strong> - National</p><p> <strong>Ranking</strong> - 6th</p><p> <strong>Location</strong> - Hokkaido (Japan)</p><p> <strong>Prestige</strong> - A*</p><p> <strong>Momentum</strong> - A</p><p> <strong>Alliance</strong> - Modern Japan Movement</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Product</span></strong></p><p> <strong>Key Features</strong> - Traditional</p><p> <strong>Heavy Features</strong> - Realism</p><p> <strong>Medium Features</strong> - Modern and Lucha Libre</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Roster</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Eventers</strong></p><p> Eisaku Kunomasu</p><p> Gargantuan</p><p> Greg Gauge</p><p> KC Glenn</p><p> Kozue Kawashima</p><p> Marat Khoklov</p><p> Masaru Ugaki</p><p> PRIDE Koiso</p><p> Razan Okamoto</p><p> Yoshimi Mushashibo</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Upper Midcarders</strong></p><p> Bussho Makiguchi</p><p> Chojiro Kitoaji</p><p> Kazushige Matsuki</p><p> Kirk Jameson</p><p> Logan Wolfsbaine</p><p> Matthew Keith</p><p> Merle O'Curle</p><p> Mr. Lucha III</p><p> Ryoma Muruyama</p><p> Seiji Jumbo</p><p> Tetsunori Yasuda</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Midcarders</strong></p><p> Amo Del Gato</p><p> Austin Smooth</p><p> Chess Maniac</p><p> Eien Miyamoto</p><p> Gidayu Katou</p><p> JOJI</p><p> Motoyuki Miyake</p><p> Necromancer</p><p> Omezo Shikitei</p><p> Samoan Machine</p><p> Stealth Z</p><p> Sterling Whitlock</p><p> Stone Yoshikawa</p><p> Tanyu Toshusai</p><p> Totoya Munakata</p><p> Tsuneyo Yanagimoto</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Lower Midcarders</strong></p><p> Angel De Mexico</p><p> Bulldozer Brandon Smith</p><p> Dean Waldorf</p><p> Frankie Perez</p><p> Haranobu Kobayashi</p><p> MUSCLE Serizawa</p><p> Thrill Seeker</p><p> Washi Heat</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Openers</strong></p><p> Azumamaro Shimizu</p><p> Greg Black</p><p> Kyuichi Matsumoto</p><p> Marv Statler</p><p> Marvel Malloy</p><p> Mercutio Sleep</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Enhancement Talent</strong></p><p> Arthur Dexter Bradley</p><p> El Leon</p><p> Snow Storm</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Current Champions</strong></span></p><p> <strong>WSW Undisputed World Champion</strong> - Yoshimi Mushashibo</p><p> <strong>WSW International Champion</strong> - Razan Okamoto</p><p> <strong>WSW Warrior's Spirit Champion</strong> - Tetsunori Yasuda</p><p> <strong>WSW World Tag Team Champions</strong> - Seiji Jumbo & Kazushige Matsuki</p><p> <strong>WSW Elite Warrior (Tournament Title, held in May)</strong> - Kozue Kawashima</p><p> </p><p> The World Championship is self-explanatory, it's my main title, only defended on big events, never on TV. The International Championship is a floating title, it's slightly less important than the World Title, but it can be somewhat rarely defended on TV in the main event. The Warrior's Spirit title is my solid Midcard title, it functions like a Television Championship, defended regularly on TV and Events, I mean, what better way to prove you have a Warrior's Spirit but to defend your title against every week on TV? The Elite Warrior is my yearly single elimination tournament with the winner receiving a World title opportunity in June. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tag Teams</strong></p><p> Omezo Shikitei & Amo Del Gato</p><p> Washi Heat & Kyuichi Matsumoto</p><p> Kirk Jameson & Thrill Seeker</p><p> Kozue Kawashima & PRIDE Koiso</p><p> Chojiro Kitoaji & Bussho Makiguchi</p><p> Masaru Ugaki & Ryoma Muruyama</p><p> Gargantuan & Merle O'Curle</p><p> Austin Smooth & Sterling Whitlock</p><p> Marvel Malloy & Storm Spillane (Spillane currently in rehab)</p><p> Mr Lucha III & Stealth Z</p><p> JOJI & Motoyuki Miyake</p><p> Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler</p><p> Kazushige Matsuki & Seiji Jumbo</p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> Any odd looking tag team was the result of me spending the first few months worth of shows spamming random tag matches to find people with good chemistry as partners. Worked out great for me as it built a tag division that produces matches greater than expected for the level of workers involved eg Mr Lucha III and Stealth Z regularly have in-ring performances of A* in tag matches. Any Tag Team that involves Main Eventers is set to "individuals"</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> That is with auto-pushes, as you can see El Leon is currently a jobber I am paying $80,000 per month for, he will be pushed up to the Main Event extremely quickly (probably via storyline with Gargantuan, menace angles, mmmmm) I primarily just wanted a star for expansion into the West, and if built up his SQ is very helpful. </p><p> </p><p> Matthew Keith would be higher up the card, but he was out with a major concussion that he got in May 2016, so when I signed him he was still injured for about a year, so I couldn't do anything with him, I finally got him going.</p>
