6.
Thanks for the early feedback. Starrcade was fun to write.

There are many I want to work with into the main event picture, though not all at once of course. You'll start seeing some stories taking place to get folks set up for better things as long as the game allows them to.

My goal is to be story-driven. Also, after every PPV, I'll be updating the Roster post with changes. You'll see now I've added some cruiserweights that WCW were using throughout 96 and 97 because I needed some more depth, as well as 1 Canadian tag team.

I've already written the next Nitro and Thunder and hope you guys enjoy where the story leads us.

Eddie plays at this pace for a good five minutes before Malenko shows some aggression by backing Eddie into the corner and laying in kick after kick to the midsection. With Eddie on the defensive, Malenko dissects Guerrero with a combination of technical moves, quick dropkicks and low-end submission holds. Malenko hits a couple forearm shots, sending Eddie out of the ring. Then, Malenko hits the ropes and goes for a baseball slid, but Eddie slides into the ring at the same time and hits the far ropes, comes back and takes off with a Suicide Dive, leaving both men down for what ends up an 8-count. Both men slide into the ring and it’s Malenko who gets the upper-hand by landing a Double Underhook Powerbomb, then immediately locking in the Texas Cloverleaf! A small pop from the crowd when Malenko sits down as Eddie is riving in pain. After about 20 seconds, Eddie makes it to the ropes, causing the hold to be broken. Malneko then sets Eddie on the top rope, then steps up to the second rope, putting Eddie on his shoulders, looking for that top-rope gutbuster. As Malenko jumps off the turnbuckle and tosses Eddie above him, Eddie hooks Malenko’s arm and tosses him with an avalanche arm drag! Eddie can get over to Malenko and land a Brainbuster, leading to a Frog Splash for the pinfall at 14:19 to retain the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship.
75

Backstage, Mean Gene Okerlund is standing by with WCW World Heavyweight Champion 'Hollywood' Hogan and Eric Bischoff.

Gene: Guys, if I can get a minute. With the high-paced offense trading for the first 10 minutes, things slow down when Mysterio is on the defensive more often than not. Jericho gets frustrated with him, pushing him around and slapping him in the back of the head, constantly asking him why he’s slowing down. Saturn takes control of the match with some decent offense with various suplexes. As he goes for a Springboard Legdrop, Benoit moves out of the way, giving him the opening he needs to start an offensive strike. Benoit connects 4 knife-edge chops to Saturn’s chest. Dazed against the turnbuckle, Benoit lifts Saturn up and connects with a Super Back Suplex for a near fall. He slides it into the ring as Hart approaches him, much to the delight of Bischoff. A minor argument begins between the two, which captures Hogan’s attention as Sting gets to his feet. Suddenly, we see Hart lay out Bischoff! It surprises Hogan at Hart’s actions and begins yelling at him, then turns around to hit Sting with the belt despite Patrick warning Hogan of disqualification. Hart jumps on the apron and grabs the belt from Hogan’s hands. As Hogan is confronting Hart, Sting grabs him and hits another Scorpion Death Drop! Sting gets back to his feet, walks over and slaps Hogan in the Scorpion Death Lock! Hogan is writhing in pain as Bischoff gets to his feet and slides into the ring, only Hart catches him by the lefts and pulls him out to a huge crowd reaction. After about 45 second, Sting takes a step back and sits down deeper on the Scorpion when Hogan finally gives up at 11:04. Sting is the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion!

93

 8.
I love Cutler. The guy is underrated.

Regarding PAC going to WWE? That bastard!

 9. Starrcade is the beginning and the end. The beginning of where my creative ideas can really get going, and the end of what was already in place, so I was quick to get to it. I'm sure Finlay wouldn't like to be referenced as Das Wunderkind? I've fixed the images, thank you.
 10. No votes for me on this one as I've just recently begun keeping up on posted diaries. However, I don't think sticky posts are ideal, for the same reasons others have mentioned. I do like the [DOTM] tag idea, despite it being some extra work.
 11. The Young Pistols vs Doom (Non-Title Match - 15-minute time limit) Comments: I love the look of Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers, but they aren't there yet. Z-Man vs Dan Spivey (TV Title Match - 15-minute time limit) Comments: Big Van Vader vs The Italian Stallion (15-minute time limit) Comments: The Steiner Brothers vs The State Patrol (Non-Title - 15-minute time limit) Comments: Brian Pillman vs Larry Zybyszko (15-minute time limit) Comments:Out of the gate? Larry. Down the road, I can see Pillman going over. Sting vs Bobby Eaton (Non-Title - 20-minute time limit) Comments: This would be an epic match. Don't believe I've ever seen a match between Sting and Eaton. Eaton was severely underrated.
 12. Believe it or not, Owen had a very short-term WCW contract in late 1990. A perfect person to build around. Dean Malenko is out there somewhere too. Solid guys to run on your B show and bring up for a Lightweight division with the likes of Pillman and Brad Armstrong. Early 90s WCW was such a great time.
