  1. <p>Good evening, </p><p> </p><p> I just wanted to give my reaction to the Beta Release. I have purchased every TEW except 2004 as I had just found EWR at that point. There are several things I like about 2020 and several things that I am indifferent about and several things that I don't care for. I really enjoy the talk to worker feature and the stable feature. There has been discussion about the UI but I really am indifferent about it, especially after downloading Kam's skins. </p><p> </p><p> My major complaints are things that have been taken out of the game. Now let me say that I have no problem with things like pushes being taken out because the new perception system has replaced it so it feels like it as evolved rather than been taken out. I also want to be clear that I have no problem with features being removed that no longer work with the game coding, like the ability to scroll with the new lists. I understand and appreciate the option of reverting to the old style.</p><p> </p><p> The things that I don't understand being taken out are things like the customized products, time decline list, and the ability to edit contract lengths for workers who don't work for you in the in game editor. The thing is when I play TEW, for me it is about fantasy booking (I usually play historical mods). I don't want to do a lot of thinking about certain things. I don;t want to have to dive in deep to figure out how far someone is into time decline. I also like to play historical mods and have an idea or situation come up where a certain worker would fit into what I want to do, so I edit there contract to make them available. I have seen it described as lazy booking or cheating. But that is exactly what I want when I play. Something I can lazily play or mold to my enjoyment. I completely understand that that is not what everyone wants. </p><p> </p><p> The question is why can't we have the best of both worlds? People that want to simulate the business in a more realistic way can and people who want to just play lazily or in a more fantasy style play that way. Again, I understand when things go away because they no longer work with the game mechanics or have evolved, but why remove things that don't fit these descriptions.</p><p> </p><p> I guess what I am trying to say is, I have enjoyed playing the TEW series because it allowed me to for the most part play the game the way I want to play it. I am on the fence about 2020 and will see what updates are made. The bottom line is that the more people that can play the game the way it suits them, the more copies of the game will be sold. The more copies sold, most likely increases the chances of future additions.</p>
  2. I have to say my favorite wrestling moment was 1988 when I was twelve. The first Summer Slam. Ms. Elizabeth removes her skirt to distract the Mega Bucks. Oh my twelve year old heart. Today it wouldn't even make someone blink, but 1988, yowzah!
  3. I went to WrestleMania VII in the Sports Arena, and to this day the loudest I have ever heard a group of fans was when Hogan was introduced against Slaughter. It was deafening in that building.

It's the Move Set button.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks!</p>
  5. I know I am completely overlooking it, but how do you change a worker's finisher?
  6. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Asaemon" data-cite="Asaemon" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41191" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><img alt="3xTpNKA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3xTpNKA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> After the show i looked in Frank's match history and there the match had a 44 rating which is a lot better than 0. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It is very possible that the grade mod you are using incorrectly has a "0" set for a different grade say "44". This happened to me when a mod I was using had the 56 grade accidentally set to show 0.</p>
  7. Finally had a chance to download this and take a look at it. Very well done mod. Brings back a lot of memories as this was when I first started watching wrestling. One question: I was wondering why King Kong Bundy is a freelancer. He wrestled in the WWF from March of 85 until about February of 88 before semi retiring. Since he is a freelancer. replicating this isn't possible. II get that prior to joining WWF, he did bounce around a lot, but didn't most of the workers during that time. Not a big deal, I can always change it myself, am just curious of the reasoning. Great mod though and thank you for the time you spent making it.

I have this one terrible in ring wrestler who i keep for his good backstage vibes, but don't want to actually book him. I don't mind paying the salary though.</p><p> </p><p> and another question i have is:</p><p> </p><p> is there a difference between a TV show and a weekly Broadcasted event?</p><p> </p><p> thank you <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Just book the guy that is irritated in the preshow or post-show. It can be in an angle or a match. Doing this might actually help him improve enough to use on the main show as well.</p>
  9. Thanks DerekB. This was exactly what I was looking for. It makes perfect sense. I just was sure what the trigger was.
  10. Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured for the main event. Do you know what triggers it during middle of the card matches. The Orton/Steamboat match for example was the 3rd of 6 matches on my A show.
  11. Thank you for your work! Have always wanted to book the lead up to Wrestlemania 2!
  12. The problem is only about half the matches that have no storyline involved get the penalty. Do both wrestlers need to be a certain push or popularity?
  13. I am not making myself clear with "the segment was penalized due to a lack an associated storyline" penalty. I know what triggers it when the two workers are in a storyline (ie. I am not getting the storyline enough heat). However, i get a match penalty in the dirt sheet that reads "the segment was penalized due to a lack of an associated storyline" and the workers involved in the match are not in a storyline. I notice it happens a lot in the main event when the workers aren't involved in a storyline together. Last night I got it in a midcard match playing the Golden Era mod. Steamboat and Bob Orton wrestled. Steamboat is in a storyline with Savage and Orton is not in a storyline. Savage was not involved in the match or segment. When looking at the results Steamboat got a 94 match rating and Orton I believe an 81. The match only scored a 72 so I checked the dirtsheet to see where the penalties occurred and the match got the "the segment was penalized due to a lack of an associated storyline". After running another card I realized I was using the wrong word: It is lack of "associated storyline", not "hot storyline"

The success rate of their dirty trick may be affected though.<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> When the storyline heat is really low (I've never had it but I'll say 60/70 and lower), your segments involving the storyline participants will start to take a hit. About the same as the bonus for a hot storyline, but flipped.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I know that when the two workers are in a storyline. I got this note playing the 1987 Golden Age Mod in a match between Ricky Steamboat and Bob Orton who are not in a storyline. I also notice it a lot if I have a main event in which there is no storyline.</p>
  15. What triggers "the segment was penalized due to a lack of hot storyline" penalty and how big of a penalty is it?
  16. I don't play with brands, but I believe that if it is a SD brand show, RAW guys and storylines won't be affected. Not 100% sure though. You could always revert your save back to the beginning of the week.
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Brak" data-cite="Brak" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I was perusing through the old patch notes and saw this:<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It's obvious what "nosurpises" does, but does "shakeitup" trigger the secret event (I know the secret event is very rare, does this code guarantee it will happen)? Or is "shakeitup" just the default?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> "shakeitup" triggers the event the next day. I believe there needs to be a company at national size or greater for it to work, but I could be wrong about that.</p>
  18. Have you tried a time limit draw. You could argue that a double pin, double count out, or double dq would result in the one guy not involved in the decision to be the winner. Example wrestlers X and y pin each other so that means wrestler Z is the winner. Since the game doesn't have triple pin, countout or dq, I am guessing it isn't possible. Just my thoughts, I don't know if it is true or not.

  20. Wow. I feel dumb now. When I started the game i imported my custom user character and must have accidentally imported everyone, and with different names (Biggz/Biggins) they would have imported. Sorry about the confussion. The mod looks great and I can't wait to get into it.<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  21. In the worker database their is a work Brett Biggz and Brett Biggins. It is the same with Bart. I caught it when playing as SWF and looking at the free agents and seeing them on my roster as well as a free agent.
  22. Thank you for taking this on. 2010 was one of my favorite Cverse years. I did notice you have Brett and Bart in twice as the Biggz and Biggins.
  23. <p>Some notes after a quick look at the data:</p><p> Men on a Mission needs adjusting</p><p> Mabel should not be heel and auto push as enhancement</p><p> Mo needs a WWF contract and a popularity adjustment</p><p> Oscar is missing</p><p> </p><p> Tatanka should not be an enhancement talent. He was feuding with and beating Bigalow at the time.</p><p> </p><p> 123 kid was o longer an opener at this time. He had beat Ramon, Martel, and Dibiase already at this point.</p><p> </p><p> Jim Duggan should not be a main eventer. He was reduce to a feud with Bastion Booger and would leave WWF in mid August.</p><p> </p><p> Brutus Beefcake's last televised match was Wrestlemania 9, he did wrestle dark matches until the end of July, so he might need to be removed.</p><p> </p><p> WCW notes:</p><p> Ric Flair should be a face.</p><p> Arn Anderson and Paul Roma should be faces.</p><p> Brian Pillman should have an egomaniac gimmick.</p><p> </p><p> You might want to create the WCW International Title and change Flair from NWA champ to WCW-I champ since WCW left the NWA in late August. I would also consider removing WCW from the NWA.</p><p> </p><p> 2 Cold Scorpio needs to be added to WCW and should be teaming with Bagwell.</p><p> </p><p> Bagwell should push higher than an open. He won the tag titles in October.</p><p> </p><p> Harlem Heat should push to mid card. They were teaming with Sid Vicious and feuding with Bagwell and Scorpio.</p><p> </p><p> Ice Train is missing.</p><p> </p><p> Tex Slazenger and Shanghi Pierce are missing.</p><p> </p><p> The Equalizer/Dave Sullivan is missing.</p><p> </p><p> Sir William is missing.</p><p> </p><p> Mark Starr, Charlie Norris, Keith Cole, Kent Cole and Maxx Payne need to be added.</p><p> </p><p> Just looking it looks like you have a start but might have released it a bit too soon. I hope these notes help. I don't want to sound like I am criticizing you because these mods take a lot of work and I appreciate the your effort.</p>

I have roughly 3 special events a year, and therefore it would probably be best to strike a 12-month, 3 episode deal then...</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Gunger, I have had the same question as you regarding specials. I think I finally figured it out. You negotiate the special as an event, but do it with a free to air broadcaster (i.e. SNME on NBC). When you run the event, in the locker room screen, in the top left hand corner, you can select the broadcasters that are eligible to show the event. Pick the one you want. For example for SNME, pick NBC and not closed circuit.</p>
