  1. Apologies man, didn't mean to cause any issue or seem impatient, was just worried it had been lost in the shuffle. I'm Sorry
  2. That...might actually work... they have lost the tag titles fairly early in the game and have recently kicked Nick Booth out for consistent losses. I could do this and also use this as a catalyst for my planned idea of rebuilding the Society with new members.
  3. posted this in the booking committee thread but also fits here; Apologies in advance for the following wall of text. I'm booking TCW and have recently turned Flyin Jimmy Foxx heel, adopting the more serious name of James Foxx, he is now feuding with former partner Benny Benson, over the course of the feud he's gonna get an (as yet unnamed) group, consisting of Brandon James (stolen from SWF) mainly in a manager/advisor role (with occasional matches) and Killer Shark as a bodyguard. My question is, Shark is still in the Sinner Society and currently has a no dq match with Mighty Meat, at Battleground III to end that feud, Foxx's stable isn't set up yet and as both groups would be heel, there is no way to feud them and have Shark switch sides, so my conundrum is, how do I get Shark out of SS convincingly without causing a face turn? Once he leaves he'll then float as a singles for a month or two whilst the moving parts for Foxx's group comes together. Thanks in advance.

  7. Is there now no way to hire and resign workers directly to development deals now?
  8. <p>So just finished booking TWTSTS and it was a fairly safe show, Wolf defeated Sammy in the main event to retain the World Title after Chord cost Bach, this was a filler as Andrews was kayfabe not cleared to compete and Sammy had won a 4 week interim contendership tournament. This really allowed the Chord & Bach feud to progress, this is building to a 4 way match at the next PPV between the 4 men. </p><p> </p><p> Devine Fortune captured the tag belts in a 4 way featuring The Elite, The Behemoths & The Mighty Meat, not much to say here, needed the belts on a face team so The Elite can bring the gold to the Syndicate at the next PPV.</p><p> </p><p> After my post a few pages back about Josh Taylor offering to put T-Bone Bright over, Bright has gone from strength to strength and is pulling in some great grades (high 70's) and actually defeated Gauge for the TV Title, and is going to move onto a feud with Doc Hammond, who has also offered to put him over, I see big things for T-Bone in the future.</p><p> </p><p> Biggest development is that Flyin' Jimmy Foxx is now a heel, I had him turn on and start a feud with Benson the night after TWTSTS, after one loss too many (in actual, it was simply due to them having bad chemistry as a team, hoping they have better as rivals)</p><p> </p><p> Really digging TCW in this edition</p>
  9. I gotta say when I first loaded up the demo, beta, whatever you chose to call it I was hit with a lot of new info, things in different places, things that were not initially obvious or as easy to find as they were in 16. I will admit I kinda "noped" shut the game and came back a few days later, started booking shows, failed superbly to book a cohesive show (partly on me, partly on uncertainty of the UI) "noped" and shut the game again, these both occurred whilst i was trying to multi-task so I was not giving the game 100% focus. Since I have come back to it and took the time to learn and get comfortable with features, where things are, how things work and how the UI ticks I can say i have got more comfortable and the UI has grown on me. Will this be the same for everyone? no, some will judge the game or the UI or the changes and end it there, that's fine different strokes, spend your money elsewhere. I wonder if Adam had not of changed things as radically as he did, and the UI was much the same as 16 with some added bells and whistles, if the people who are complaining that the game is "too different" would then complain that Adam wants $30 but has done little work and the game "is too similar" Adam has done a lot of work to make this game, he has a passion, a love for this series, did he need to release 20? I'm gonna say no, did he need to make the changes after the initial backlash, no he could of in all honesty forged on with "his vision" but he took the backlash, found the constructive feedback and made changes as best he could with what the base of the game would allow. I for one wanna say Thank you Adam and I appreciate all your work on this and all the games, I have experienced your products since the early days of EWR and you have earned my trust as a developer, I'm willing to trust that this product will be as great as all the others and that I'll learn and come to love the changes to the UI, the game and the features.

  11. Thanks guys. I'll probably follow the advice and cut it short, I've only had it live for the first week of the save so a quick match and drop out, maybe find a way to involve him.
  12. So in my game Joshua Taylor who I have in a story line with Human Arsenal has offered to put over T-Bone Bright, good for the next 3 months or two matches, I'm just not sure how I go about it as it may mean cutting short the story with Arsenal.
  13. I already adore the inclusion of the days of the reign. It's a little, silly thing that brings me such joy
  14. Can i just say I love, love, love that they now include the days of a title reign I always enjoy saying x wrestler had a reign of x days rather than x months so seeing this is a very fun albeit minor change that i adore.

They call their smaller touring shows "Road To Power Struggle", but you might as well name them "Power Struggle Tour" or even something completely different if you want.</p><p> The important thing is that you book these smaller shows as weekly events. If you have a broadcasting deal you can even broadcast them, although it's probably not a good idea to have them on ppv.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks</p>
  16. <p>quick question with regards touring companies.</p><p> </p><p> might be really dumb...</p><p> </p><p> Can you confirm how I go about booking the smaller shows leading into the pre set up bigger "PPV" shows. </p><p> </p><p> Thanks,</p>
  17. <p>Not gonna spoil it for anyone that didn't see it but just watched their Destruction from Horishima show and the main even alone is worth a watch!</p><p> </p><p> Ishii doing things a big man shouldn't be able to!</p>

Youtube has some great video essays about some of the key events, stables, roster members and storylines that were around in the lead up to theiWrestlemania level event, Wrestle Kingdon. This is held on January 4th each year, with another big show the night after that kicks off a lot of events for the next year.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">INFO LINKS (perhaps more to come soon)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/CtdeY_zQ-as?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="[Kor Sub] The Fall and Rise of Tetsuya Naito"></iframe></div></div> - (pre-Wrestling Kingdom, the original video seems to have disappeared so this is a random Korean subtitled one)<p> </p><p> </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/9_ibZR3YkiQ?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Wrestle Kingdom 12 Primer"></iframe></div></div><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Wrestle Kingdom (January 4th)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">January 5th</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <a href="https://vimeo.com/267037758" rel="external nofollow">The Tale Of The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi)</a> - (best viewed after the two major January shows but a great video for information on both)</p><p> </p><p> After those shows you should have a basic idea of what the company is about and hopefully be super excited by some of the awesome matches they had there. Every major NJPW event is a must see, with many of the smaller events being multi-man tag hype matches with some lesser title matches thrown in to headline some of them. I'll try to avoid spoilers for you, but there are some great ones scattered throughout</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">New Japan Cup (March)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Around this time every year the company hold the New Japan Cup, which features 16 men in a single elimination tournament. The winner earns the right to challenge any champion on the roster for their title at Sakura Genesis (assuming they are eligible for the belt) and had some great matches again this year. IIRC, the tournament matches were spread across 4 shows (1 for each round, plus undercard matches) though it might have been 5 to spread out the first round. Well worth a watch and lets you know more about some rising stars in the company along with some top guys outside the title scene.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Sakura Genesis (April)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> One of the big four events of the year, this was great at the time and features the winner of the New Japan Cup taking on the champion of his choosing among other great matches. After this (or perhaps in the lead up to this, I forget) there were also several title matches as main events for smaller shows though you'd do well to look for those yourself.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Best Of Super Juniors (May)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> The Best of Super Juniors is a Juniors only tournament, featuring 16 men in two blocks of eight each. It tends to feature a lot of exciting talents from around the world, including a lot of people who aren't full time members of the roster. For these shows, the second half features the actual tournament matches while the first half tends to be hype for the other matches and some other heavyweight things.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Dominion (June)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> This show was fantastic and comes hot on the heels of the BOSJ tournament, with the winner of that challenging the reigning Junior champion. Some fans argue that this was even better than Wrestle Kingdom, and I'd say that without a doubt those have been the two best events of any wrestling company this year so far. Go out of your way to check this out if you can.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">G1 American Special (July)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> NJPW are taking over the world... they had this show in America, which was great, and a couple of co-promoted events with RevPro in the UK too. All of them are worth a look but the American one in particular is the one to watch, with some great matches and it's pretty cool to see them expanding out into the world. You may have heard about NJPW/ROH booking Madison Square Garden on Wrestlemania weekend in 2019... between this event and All In, you should be able to see why.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">G1 Climax (July/August)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Recently NJPW held the G1 Climax, which is the biggest wrestling tournament of the year and features 20 heavyweights competing in two groups of 10. Everyone faces everyone else, the winner of each block then faces off in the final and the winner earns the right to face the IWGP Heavyweght champion at Wrestle Kingdom. Yes, that's a build of about 5 months. In the meantime, both the champion and challenger will defend against people, usually those they lost to in the G1 or have heated personal rivalries with. As with the BOSJ events, the first half of each tour show features tag matches with the block members who aren't in singles action and can largely be ignored if you want to speed up your viewing. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Happening Now</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> We are currently on the Destruction tour, which leads to a few Destruction events coming up soon. Those will be headlined by a variety of major matches and titles but in order to avoid spoilers for you I'll keep them out of here just now. Needless to say, if you haven't had enough NJPW yet then there should be some great stuff coming up soon. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Lastly....</p><p> </p><p> I just want to add a few thoughts of my own. NJPW has some amazing in ring talent and does a good job at distinguishing between jobbers (young lions, some veterans), rising stars (usually seconds in stables) and stars (leaders and people with strong links to them). Learning who is in what stable certainly helps, though with very few stables mixing it's usually pretty obvious. There are lots of talent not affiliiated with a group too, with Hiroshi Tanahashi (legend) being the main one of those.</p><p> </p><p> On the roster, my favourites in no particular order are.... Kenny Omega, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Minoru Suzuki, Juice Robinson, Zack Sabre Jr, Kota Ibushi and Hirooki Goto. Okada is probably on that list too, he's great. Oh... and Tokyo Latina. For a different reason entirely. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks man! I'll get those looked at.</p><p> </p><p> I've done a little digging on a beginners guide to New Japan & am fairly up to speed with stables, currently being pulled towards LIJ & chaos.</p><p> </p><p> of the stuff i have watched so far Naito is the business, watched Okada vs Marty from All In too so that was really my first experience with Okada.</p>

  20. So recently just got myself subscribed to NJPW World, Anyone recommend a good jumping on point for NJPW?

I’ve disliked him for years. Roddy and Fish I love. Cole is a Shawn Michaels bobble head and O’reilly is a knob.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's fair enough, and sorry if i came across like a d*** wasn't my intention, obviously view points are subjective.</p>
  22. Which is why Undisputed Era are pretty much constantly knocking it out the park match after match after match... I take it based on this you didn't enjoy Dunne vs O'Reilly?
  23. Both? start with a team and title run before breaking them off and fueding or do the reverse, start as a feud, Cody doesn't think Dustin can go anymore, series of match, respect is built up and they reform their team.
  24. Can we all agree that O'Reilly is the suprise MVP of UE, Cole is the full package and will do wonderful things on the main roster but O'Reilly is just so arrogant and charasmatic, He's a wonderfully snarky heel.
