    Hello there everyone,

I have a little question and I hope one of you can help me: I one of my games a newly generated Worker started her career and say she is a "Other" English Female Wrestler.

After digging in the database I found out it has to do something with the workers race like, white, black, Hispanic, ect.

What does other mean? Could you give me and example of what race would count towards other?

Thank you and have a good rest of your day

It's a catch-all category; it simply means that none of the others apply.

Still having the same issue. I know you say it's apparently impossible to get that much of a drop with no notifications, but it's definitely happening.

Included a screenshot of the match rating, worker's performance ratings, and the full dirt sheet notes. Nothing negative noted at all but the match is dropping off hugely. Is it possible there's a potential cause that might not be showing up properly?

Also apologies if this is the wrong place to even be bringing this up, I just didn't want to make a whole thread for it.

No, it would mean that the cause is something that doesn't fall under the category of road agent notes and so isn't meant to be shown. If you send me a save game where there's a show booked and ready to run, following the instructions in the technical support forum, I will trace the drop for you.

Just run through another show and had a similar (thought less severe) result, and combed through all the notes. There's no penalties/negative effects listed.

I have just realised I've still got my product setting all my matches to scripted by default, though. Is it possible that's the reason? Is there a ceiling on matches when they're scripted?

There's not a ceiling but it will obviously have some level of effect.

I'm repeatedly having matches where both performers get ratings in the 90s but then the overall match rating is 80-82, and I've turned on the dirt sheet notes and it's not listing any penalties to the match. I've been ignoring it for a while but I just upgraded my broadcaster and now it's occasionally causing my performance to dip below the requirement.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? It's not an occasional consistency slip up, it's happening more often than not.

Assuming your using the latest patch, I'd recommend you recheck the dirt sheet and the notes section; it's virtually impossible to get that big of a drop without a penalty being applied, and that'd be listed in those places.

If I run a show in germany (bash in Berlin), do all my promos have to be by someone who speaks German, or does the game take into account there are a lot of English speaking fans in germany and promos in English would be ok?

If it's the former, then do promos based on entertainment only get penalised, and charisma, overness, menace, fighting etc are ok?

It tells you what language are spoken on-screen when viewing a region.

  6. That's a Windows error rather than a TEW error. I'd suggest you try restarting your PC, as sometimes that can be caused if you've got a Windows update that hasn't fully completed its install.

If that doesn't clear it, try uninstalling and reinstalling to refresh your files (making sure to move any save games or other content that you want to keep somewhere safe first, obviously).

  7. Try the attached file.

Your 3421 error was because the database was full of corrupt and illegal data caused by editing outside of the game editor. Whoever was doing so, presumably whoever you were importing data from, had made a whole bunch of silly errors - your broadcasting slots file, for example, was full of data relating to training camps because they'd sloppily copy and pasted into the wrong place (I've had to remove all of that data, you'll need to redo that part of the file), and they'd also forgotten to remove the extra tables that they'd added too. I've done my best to remove all the damage. To underline, people shouldn't be editing outside of the editor because they skip all of the error checking that the game provides.

I can't recreate your 3197 error, but it is more than likely due to all the damage that was there, so removing it may help you.

  8. 1 - What size is the save game file (TEW2020.mdb)? Right-click on it and select Properties to find out.

2 - How much free hard drive space do you have?

3 - Is this affecting every save game you're playing or just that specific one?

4 - Is it happening at the exact same point every time? i.e. you can't advance that save game at all.

They are in the drop down list on the booking screen but not on the list from drag and drop, if that makes sense? I edited them with the in game editor and added occasional wrestler as one of their options, they were already checked to be wrestler. (was just trying to see if that would work)

The only difference between the list and the dropdowns is that the latter is filtered by your search parameters; you must have at least one setting that is causing those workers to be excluded.

Tried to search but couldn't find anything. I am having an issue where some workers are not showing up on my booking screen. They are in the drop down selection but with a bloated roster I can often forget. Bam Bam Bigelow and Dino Bravo made me aware as I had them each in storylines and couldn't drag and drop them to book.

I edited them in the editor to be wrestler and occasional wrestlers, they are contracted to wrestle and be whatever is needed so I am not sure why they are not appearing no matter the filters I select.  Not sure if it is just the two of them or more workers too.

You should check the Absences screen. If they're not there, reset your filters so that everyone is being shown. It might also be worth clarifying what your issue actually is as your first paragraph contradicts itself - you say they're not in the booking screen but then say that they are in the drop down menus; both can't be true.

If they still don't appear then you've likely got illegal data - your second paragraph seems very odd, as you say you've edited them to become wrestlers but that's not something you can edit in a live game. If you've done it via an external editor then you will have skipped any error checking and have likely introduced issues that prevent them from being shown.

  11. This can be an issue for some people whose computers do not use English as its base language. The easiest way to solve this is to change the language for non-unicode programs to English within Windows. The way to do this differs slightly depending on what version of Windows you are running, but it is usually found in Control Panel -> Region and Languages and then either under Administrative or Advanced. You should restart your machine after making the change.

There seems to be some kind of annoying general cut-off line at about 70 years old for wrestlers to annoyingly "leave the business", and for some reason elect to never even be contacted for appearences. Can this limitation please be removed or modified? Perhaps a trait individual workers could have which means they will never leave the business? Think about all of the elderly people and legends who still contribute behind the scenes in real life, this feels very "video game" when it happens, and you can never talk them out of it at this age. I'm betting if I offered Jim Ross 3 million for another year in real life, he'd do it.

Thanks for all the work you put into the game! Always loved them.

That's already in - it's the Wrestling In The Blood attribute.

    Thanks Adam.

It didn't look like any of those applied here.

The events were set to Lesser shows. Interestingly, I tried changing them to Tour events instead and they've been going ahead.

If they're Lesser shows then you're eliminating the ability for your more popular workers to appear on them. If you've got a very top-heavy roster full of stars then you're potentially not leaving yourself with enough people to actually work the show. The fact that you can run tour shows, which don't have that restriction, would back this up.

Does anyone know what the minimum number of workers are needed for AI to run a show? (Tried searching the forums/handbook but must be missing it)

I've set up a development company that currently has 48 active worker but they keep cancelling their events. Interestingly, they've still been going ahead with TV shows.

It's 10. If you've got more than that and they're cancelling shows it's because they can't book even the minimum number of matches, which suggests that either you've accidentally screwed up the event settings (e.g. making it an a women's only event when you don't have any) or the wrestlers' contracts prohibit them from working on a show of that nature.

  15. It's not one of my games, but are you sure you've downloaded the right version? If you've just bought the game then you should have one of the new QLM / FastSpring licenses (which are 25 characters long, in groups of 5 separated by hyphens) and therefore need to download and play the QLM / Fastspring version of the game. Your screen shot shows that you're trying to use the old Elicense version of the game, which you can only use if you have one of the old-style Elicenses (which usually begin with "VT-").
