  1. If your old computer no longer works then you would need to contact Scott Vibert (scott@greydogsoftware.com) to have your license deactivated from that machine so that it is available for use on your new system.

You would need to tell him your license key. This is the code that you received by e-mail that begins "VT-".

If you do not have this, you would need to tell him your name, e-mail address and, preferably, the last four digits of the card used to purchase the license so that he can look it up.

I don't know what you mean by "computer ID" or why you are looking for this, but to clarify, you cannot deactivate the license from your end if you do not have access to the broken computer.

NB From your wording, it sounds like you have mistakenly downloaded the QLM (*) version of the game; you are unlikely to be a QLM license holder as that is a relatively new system and you said you are not a new customer, so you would need the Elicense version of the game. You can download it from the TEW2016 page, using the Elicense Download button on the right-hand side.

(*) QLM is the license system we now use. Elicense is the one we used to use. They are not interchangeable, so you can only use the QLM version of the game if you have that type of license.

  2. To avoid future misunderstanding, please note that forum rule #2 has been updated to add further clarification as follows:

    2. If you want to use someone else's work, ask first; this includes running existing renders through AI programs or other modification software to create 'new' content. Most people are perfectly happy to let others use their work as long as they get credit, but please ask permission first. Content creators can also ask to have their work removed at any time too. We at GDS also have no problem with content creators hosting their work on other sites and communities, that is their decision and should be respected as such. This extends to any instances where a mod is being showcased by YouTube videos and linked on this forum - if the mod(s) in question are linked on this forum at any point through a thread, dynasty or video series then they must follow the rules in place for all mods on GDS.

How to give fighter his belt back

What I mean is I forgot to extend one of my long time champion's contract, which expired right after he defended it, which resulted in him getting stripped of the title. This means that his title defense streak was gone even if I sign him back. Anyone know a fix? Thanks.

Sorry, you can't restore a streak once it is broken.

I have yet another bunch of questions, this time about alliances, and I couldn't find the answers in the Handbook, so here we go:

    • If I'm a member of an alliance, and for any reasons the other members leave it, can I close the alliance, or will the AI automatically try to fill it with new companies that I can/cannot veto ?
    • Is it even possible to close an alliance, other than via the editor ?
    • If an alliance do close (even via the editor), do the alliance titles join the list of purchasable belts, or are they gone forever ?

    Thanks !

An alliance closes if there's no members left.

The AI won't add or remove members to an alliance if one or more members are player-controlled.

Old alliance titles would be purchasable.

I've tried searching the forum for this topic and I've gathered that B shows "don't affect popularity" either way. However, I want to basically have a recap show that will feature zero actual live matches. Will going that far against the product hurt in any way? Am I not really grasping the purpose of B shows and/or that would be a complete waste of one?

You can't do a show without any matches, so your plan would be unworkable.

Purely "recap" shows aren't a thing in TEW. B shows are for low-level secondary shows, trying to force them into a recap format wouldn't really work.

Before i ask in tech support i wanted to make sure of something.

What can cause a "huge" drop in attendance?

After two year of running a monthly event every week always in the same region, with a constant increase, at the start of the third year my attendance dropped significantly. Last event of 2021 had 7000+ people, while the first of 2022 only 2000+. I runned the next event to check and again the attendance was about the same.

Because my product is impacted by the level of the wrestling industry i checked the other promotion in my home area with the same note on their product and they were not affected with their attendance number be in line with what they did before.

Is there something else i should check before asking if it's a bug?

It'd be overexposure. Four monthly events per month is far too much, you're fan base is going to get annoyed at the overload.
