  1. Sittin' Under The Learnin' Tree: Worker is always open to getting/giving advice. More likely to form Mentor relationships. ("Come over here and sit under the learnin' tree" Ernie Ladd) Dumbs Their Way Out of Position: Worker is more likely to get into negative incidents and make dumb statements in media interviews (or on social media for modern era) the higher on the card they are. ("Bundy! We try to build you up, and you go dumb yourself out of position!" -Ernie Ladd) Does What They Don't Know How To Do: Worker is prone to performing moves without thoughly practising them first. Worker has a chance of improving a match they are in, but increases the likelihood of injuring themselves or their opponent. ("Don't go doing what you don't know how to do!" -Dusty Rhodes) Have Name, Will Travel: worker has some name value from outside the business. Will not sign an exclusive contract, instead trying to work for as many companies as possible at a time. Bumper Car: Worker loves taking bumps, a lot, for better or worse. Dislikes being Protected or Limited in matches, will always accept taking a Stunt or Crazy Bump. In More Than Just Name: Worker is a manager who regularly helps his clients outside of events; controlling their schedules, lining up their flights, setting up hotel reservations, keeping track of their expenses, investing their money, etc. Worker is more likely to develop positive relationships with workers they manage. (AKA The Paul Ellering) Hater: Worker will be more likely to form negative relations with workers higher on the card than them. Hooker: Worker might not look it, but they are well versed in legitimate fighting and "sugar holds" and are not afraid to use them in a match to make sure it ends correctly. Worker is more likely to accept doing a screwjob finish, and is less likely to lose during a screwjob finish. Mutt and Jeff: Worker is more likely to form positive relationships with workers of different size than them. Untrained: Worker didn't receive proper training before getting into the business. Skills increase slower, and the worker is more likely to accept work from any company. His lack of backstage ettique has a minor negative impact on the backstage environment. National and higher promotions will avoid hiring them.
  2. Never been there, but I'm pretty sure they speak English at Daily's Place. Imagine my surprise, having Le Champion cut a 10 minute promo on Cody and having it fall flat because the crowd are apparently all deaf. But seriously, thanks for the mods you've put out over the years, Fleisch.
  3. I actually had this happen in a historical mod after sending a worker to rehab (as WCW). It was The Iron Sheik, but still pretty cool.
  4. For a face version of what Hurricanendp suggested, you could have him surrender the title to a authority so he can challenge for the main title as an angle, then you can go from there (maybe he loses to your top face champion in an even contest then both get jumped by a pair of your top heels after, or your top heel champion cheats to win leading to a heated rivalry, go crazy) and the dropped title can go into a tournament for your next big project to win.

For example, it would make sense if someone approached you about them putting over their protege as opposed to some random guy.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I agree, though it would be nice to see guys approaching retirement age start offering to put over some of the younger talent on the roster on their way out (assuming they have that sort of altruistic personality). Having an elder vet come up to the booker and say "give me RookieX to work with for the next few shows" just because they see something in the kid and want to give him the rub isn't that out there.</p>
  6. Speaking as someone who has followed this game series from the EWR days, mod makers come and go. If one group steps away, another will take its place. Regarding the newest entry, WOW, I'm surprised this got relegated to the "small" stuff entries, I'd love to have a completely internal way of keeping track of tournaments in TEW, so this a huge for me. Will there be an option to tell the CPU to hold specific types of tournaments now?

El Hijo de Anibal vs. Super Commando, Campeon de Campeche match "El Hijo de la Saeta Azul" El Hijo de Anibal faces his stiffest challenge to date for the Campeon de Campeche title in the form of the vicious rudo, "Los Líder Escuadrón de la Muerte" Super Commando!

  9. Can I get these on the same background that Real World Chronicles Continued uses? Guy's name is Funny Bone, he regularly works around California and Nevada:
  10. <p>Sounds like Sting is in for a gimmick change! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Reminds me of when Jim Cornette, Jim Barnett, Jim Herd, and Jim Ross were on WCW's booking committee in the 90's.</p>
  11. <p>I tend to play real life mods, so sometimes I like to run a Local or Small lucha libre indy in Southern Mexico and try to book a very traditional lucha product. I like lucha and know a tiny bit about it, but I'm far from expert, so it's a good learning experience for me. Lots of looking up who so-and-so is and whatever matches I can find of theirs.</p><p> Sometimes I like to roleplay that I'm running a tiny arena (giving my promotion a custom arena just big enough for a little growth) and give my promotion a variable amount of money each month, justifying it as being from rentals when I'm not running shows.</p>
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="K-Nection" data-cite="K-Nection" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>*Screams into pillow* Ok I'm better now lol</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> *Points at the word "Seem" in the quoted* <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  13. Personally, I don't mind giving up some flexibility for hand-crafted products by the creator of the game itself as long as there's a wide range of them. Like the man said, it didn't seem like anybody was really taking advantage of the current system (and honestly, I always found it a little mystifying).
  14. One could argue that the constant switches between head bookers led to constant shifts between products which led to a longer change period and more disruption that were ultimately to the promotions detriment by 1999. Perhaps the new game could reflect that in the rules, so that if the Current Product is frequently changed in a short period of time it negatively effects Popularity?
  15. <p>From my current SMW game:</p><p> </p><p> "ANOTHER big guy with a manager is doing squash matches?"</p><p> </p><p> (Killer Kyle w/jim Cornette, "Lord Humongous" aka Big Titan under a hockeymask w/Jim Cornette, Rasta The Voodooman w/Col. Red, Nightstalker w/Kevin Sullivan, etc.)</p><p> </p><p> "Why are there so many tag team matches on this show?"</p><p> </p><p> (I like tag team wrestling and perhaps put a few too many of these types of matches on my events)</p><p> </p><p> "Do titles EVER change hands in this promotion?"</p><p> </p><p> (My main title rarely changes hands, maybe 2-3 times a year in a promotion running weekly, tag teams a little more often 3-4 times, and a secondary title that changes much more frequently)</p><p> </p><p> "A mop is more likely to win a match than John Rambo!"</p><p> </p><p> (I brought in John Rambo, a wrestler whose biggest run was in PNW and biggest claim to fame is looking a bit like Stallone, as a guy to put my younger talent over. He was pretty good at it, so I've kept him around, but his win/lose record has become heavily skewed).</p><p> </p><p> "Uh oh, here comes BooBoo Brazil Jr., what did this guy do to piss off the promoter?" </p><p> </p><p> (Bobo Brazil Jr., aka Calypso Jim, I brought in like John Rambo to put people over, but he had a run where he injured three people in as many events, New Jack so badly he had to retire as a wrestler, so I nicknamed him "BooBoo Brazil Jr." and haven't used him much since).</p>

I usually play a heavily edited/customised version of either the DOTT or WOTI mods, and don't pay much attention to whatever date the game assigns...but I think most of those games start on Monday, Week 1, Current Year...I think if I wanted to use a different skin, I'd probably have to set it manually.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> that's an issue with the data you're using. In the Editor under "Database Info" you can set the "Game Start Date" Month/Year (so you'd start Monday, Week 1, of the set Month/Year). Every historical mod I've played from here have been set to the proper date. </p><p> This entry is saying that if you started a game in, say, 1983, instead of displaying the typical "Modern Website" appearance on the front page, it'd display a funky Apter "Magazine" style appearance. A game started in a mod set in 2001 would display a "Early Internet Website" appearance.</p>
  17. I like this adjustment to ticket prices. Back when TV wrestling was just starting to be a thing, "studio shows" were common and were free.
  18. One thing I'd like to see with this Talk To Wrestler feature is the option to start a game with it limited by the size of your promotion and existing relationship, so if you're playing a tiny promotion in the Northwest and your Avatar has a Strong Friendship with Swoop McCarthy, you're limited to speaking with guys from the Northwest and Swoop. Perhaps relationships can effect influence as well?

What that means in regards to the relationship between AEW and DG? I haven't a clue.</p>
  20. Something I sort of want to see is something that combines the On-the-fly booking and the Attribute entries. ala if a wrestler has a "egomaniac" type Attribute, they will wait until the show is going then demand you change the finish to their match, forcing you to go back and rebook it (or not, if you're willing to take a hit).
  21. One change I would make on anything we've heard thus far is the regions of India. I'd split it into the six regions listed <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administrative_divisions_of_India#The_six_regions" rel="external nofollow">here</a> instead of the North, Central, and South currently being used. Given it's the largest country by population in the game and a region that many see as a place big wrestling companies want to expand into, more regions would make spreading there harder. Also, the six regions on the page will make it easier to create mods, as they associate with existing Indian states (and the linked page lists the largest cities and populations for each region, which should jive well with the new areas and locations overhaul).

  23. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="ZTGST" data-cite="ZTGST" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41793" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>What's the best way to add updates to old saves? I've been playing a Who87 modded save on and off for a while, but I want to add some of the new guys that weren't in the old database at the time. Is my only option to create each individually and set all the stats on my own, and just use the new pics? Is there not a way to copy/paste a worker profile from a new database into an old database?<p> </p><p> I'm not super versed on how all this works. Thanks for the help!</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Replace the older version of the mod with the updated database like normal. Then in the save you're playing, go to Options, there you will find Import Data is in the buttons on the left, select the updated database and then you can import the workers you want. You'll have to manually add stuff like relationships and movesets though (but you can import moves the same way as workers, and the Edit Relationship button will make that work a lot easier.)</p>
  24. <p>1987, running my own promotion out of the Southwest for fun. I've sent The Iron Sheik to rehab after he wrestled Sgt. Slaughter wasted out of his mind on <em>all</em> the drugs (and yet still managed a C+ match), it improved his morale (he was "Extremely Happy" at my handling of the situation), and made him Loyal to me.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/284/922/0e3.png</span></p><p> </p><p> I had Afa The Wild Samoan and Dr. Death Steve Williams, after several matches that ended in double countouts, have a big Falls-Count-Anywhere rubber match brawl that Dr. Death won (B-). Afa ended up with cracked ribs and simmering tension with Williams (who suffered a morale hit because he was angry at himself for causing an injury). Afa is working through the injury.</p><p> </p><p> Stan Hansen took <em>The Warlord</em> ( a rookie at this time) under his wing as a protege.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/284/922/0e3.png</span></p><p> </p><p> Speaking of Hansen, he broke his toe on my first show in a wild brawl with Bruiser Brody. I'm starting to see a trend here... <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
