In the first two years of a new game you will get a greater than typical number of retirements due to their being so many people who the game sees as "should have already retired" which is why there are so many mass retirements early on. 3. Are you sure you haven't had any new workers? They don't always come out of dojos, so if that's the only screen you are looking for new workers, you're probably missing them.
  4. You don't need to reset the new workers date to the current month and year every single month. As long as you're pass that date, new workers will appear. Right below that option, should be a drop down box with different levels of how often new workers appear...what is that set to?

I'm currently in 1991, so it's a totally different game world. The idea of forming an alliance with me, WOW, NJPW, AJPW, and CMLL has crossed my mind.</p>
  6. No, it's not. Just made that up. The longest I've ever seen is 8 months.
  7. If he's on a written contract, yes you pay him. Maybe he filmed a trilogy back to back to back?
  8. The only thing that cancels out poor chemistry is multi-man matches.
  9. KVE/Undertaker have put on some good matches in the past, so that could be very good feud. I've been toying with the idea of signing Dump Matsumoto. How did you get her up to an A pop? I've used both Hansen and Brody in the past. Brody was a complete bust, always having drug issues. Hansen I've thought about resigning, just not sure how he would fit in in the WWF. Oh man, I love that Undertaker/Hart idea. Not sure I want Hart to have the belt for a whole year, but I could easily have him drop it to Flair or Savage, than have him regain before next years Wrestlemania. Was debating on a Savage/Michaels feud, as it seems a logical step. Might not be at Wrestlemania, since it's already pass, but I can see it happening at Summerslam. That could be a good idea for breaking up the Steiners. Was hoping to keep around as team a bit longer, but I don't think I have much of a choice. Thanks guys!
  10. Just a warning, this could end up being a very long post. Thanks to anybody that takes the time to read it and, hopefully, respond. I'm using the Risky Business mod, playing as the WWF. started in January 1985, currently in April, 1991. So, I've been playing for quite a while. Simply put, I'm just looking for any ideas at all to run in my game. To help out, I'll provide a overall of my company. First off, the wrestlers and any plans I have for them, ATM. Main eventers- Bret Hart (face): Just entered the main event scene a few months ago. Won the 1991 Royal Rumble, but lost at Wrestlemania 7 to the Undertaker. Will be winning the Heavyweight title from the Undertaker at the April PPV. Will than feud with Ric Flair and Randy Savage over the belt. Randy Savage (face): Pretty much the face of my company since Hulk Hogan left to WCW. In a holding pattern right now, winning main event matches, and not feuding with anybody. Razor Ramon (heel): Has turned into a movie star, hence his high popularity. A former IC champion, has done nothing of note in the ME scene. Is set to turn face soon and enter into a feud with Ric Flair. Ric Flair (heel): Always entertaining, a former three time Heavyweight champion. Will enter into a high-profile feud with Hart once Hart is champion. Currently feuding with Razor Ramon. Rick Rude (heel): Current tag team champion alongside Ted DiBiase. Feuding with the Fabulous Freebirds. Had higher hopes for Rude, but he's turned into a tag team specialist, this being his fifth run with the belts. Ted DiBiase (heel): Pretty much like in real life, always entertaining, always at the top of the card, but never "the Man." Just resigned him to a massive five year, $65,000 per month deal to keep him away from WCW. Might push towards the Heavyweight title just to make good use of that deal. The Undertaker (heel): THE MAN in WWF. Won the Heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 6, still has it over a year later. Currently has a record of 91-0 in the three years he's been in the WWF. His first lose will be at my April PPV, losing the belt to Bret Hart. Not sure where to go with him from there. Does he get his rematch? Does he move onto other feuds? But, against who? Upper Midcarders- Dusty Rhodes (face): Stole him from WCW a few months ago. He's been on a decline for a few years now, can't wrestle long matches, but is still extremely entertaining. Thinking of putting him in a tag team with a young wrestler, but not sure who yet. Jerry Lawler (heel): Has settled into a nice role as a cocky upper-midcarder. His contract is up in three months and I might not resign him, unless he wants to become a part-time wrestler and a color commentator. Kerry Von Erich (face): Has 97 star quality but can't cut a promo for the life of him. Has been a solid hand but not sure where to take him. Not good enough to hold the Heavyweight title and the IC title has passed him by. He's not as young as I was thinking, but maybe team him up with Rhodes? Could be a good upper-midcard tag team. Michael Hayes (face): Had been trying to sign him for years, now I kind of regret it. Causes trouble backstage, segments are never that good, same with his matches. Currently teaming with Jimmy Garvin but after their feud with DiBiase and Rude is over, I can seem to becoming a team that just jobs to younger teams. Nikita Koloff (heel): Another guy I tired to sign for years, and has done nothing of note since entering the WWF a year ago. Currently managed by Bobby Heenan. Rick Martel (face): Thanks to WCW, Martel has a contract that he does not justify. In hindsight, I probably should have just let him go. He's currently in a tag team with Dynamite Kid. Scott Steiner (heel): Thanks to his high star quality, he's always at the top of the card. Him and his brother Rick are former tag team champions and they may be moving towards those belts again in the near future. Shawn Michaels (heel): Current IC champion. Slowly been moving him up the card, making sure he's always involve in a feud with somebody he can learn from, or put on great matches with. Currently feuding with Owen Hart and Mr. Perfect. Jake Roberts (face): Currently on vacation, feels isolated backstage thanks to not liking Ax and Dynamite Kid. Hoping I can improve his morale before bad things happen. Midcarders- Arn Anderson (face): Would love to push towards the IC title, as he's been a steady hand his entire WWF career. Ax & Crush (heel): Forming the Demolition tag team. Ax is getting up there in years and Crush is still pretty young. Hate to waste Crush like this, but it's nice having a brute force heel team around. Dynamite Kid (face): Causes a lot of backstage issues, but puts on great matches. Currently teaming with Rick Martel. Haku & The Barbarian (face): Forming the Faces of Fear tag team. Just broke away from their long time manager Bobby Heenan, turning them face for the first time ever. Hercules (heel): Currently managed by Bobby Heenan, has great basics and psychology, and menace. Jim Duggan (face): Just kinda there. Used a lot in filler matches. Jimmy Garvin (face): See Michael Hayes. Mr. Perfect (heel): Managed by Bobby Heenan, a former three time IC champion, and won the second annual King of the Ring, he's dropped down the card the last year thanks to backstage issues. Looking to build him back up. Owen Hart (face): Has been on the main WWF roster for three years already. Currently feuding with Shawn Michaels and Mr. Perfect over the IC title. Slowly building him up to become an amazing main eventer in the future. Too bad that him and his brother Bret have awful chemistry fighting each other. Rick Steiner (heel): Teaming with his brother Scott, but has issues getting over, unlike Scott. Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson (faces): Forming the Rock n Roll Express tag team, they've always been at the top of the card. Contracts are expiring soon, so I'm looking to use their overness to help out a few of my younger teams. Lower midcard, openers, and enhancement- Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags (heels): Forming the Nasty Boys tag team. Dick Slater & Dean Malenko (faces): They have great chemistry when teaming together, so they've been a tag team for a few years now. Always capable of putting on good matches with anybody. Brooklyn Brawler (heel): In between quite a few trips to rehab, has become a pretty decent wrestler. Big Boss Man (face): Has been an enforcer for Bobby Heenan for a few years now. Turned him face and is in line for a big push up the card. Jim Powers (face): Just a good hand to have whenever needed. Steven Regal & David Taylor (heels): Forming the Blue Bloods tag team. Will most likely be released when their contracts expire soon. Brian Pillman (heel): Called up from development at the end of 1990, will mostly job until his contract is almost up, unless something up comes up. Typhoon & Earthquake (heels): Afters years in development, just called these two monsters up. Will be the first team that the Rock N Roll Express helps get over. Women's Division- Faces are currently Jaguar Yokota, Rockin' Robin, and the Woman's champion, Wendi Richter. Heels are currently Alundra Blayze (leaving soon to have a baby), Ashley Cartier, Candi Devine (hasn't debuted yet), Hollywood, Magnificent Mimi, and Sherri Martel (who also manages Rick Rude.) Still trying to build up the Women's Division, so looking for lots of help here to get them over. So, that is my main roster. I have a pretty healthy development company, full of young wrestlers. However, most of them are just signed to improve before being released into the world. The ones that I will be wanting to use soon are: Bryan Clark, Charles Wright (any gimmick), Cutie Suzuki, Dennis Knight, Jacqueline Moore, Lisa Moretti, Luna Vachon, maybe Marc Mero, Tatanka, and Sweet Saraya, and Gangrel. I have a lot more than that signed, but I'm hoping they get some time in either WCW, NJPW, or ECW once it opens before I resign them for my main roster. As far as events go, I run the big 5 PPVs yearly, with In Your House PPVs filling in the other months. In June, is the King of the Ring tournament, either a 16 or 8 man, depending on how my roster looks. In August, I run the WWF Tag Team Classic tournament. Depending on how much work I want to put into it, I've ran 32 teams all the way down to 8. It currently has a prestige of 92, so I like to think of it as a big deal for teams to win. I also use Saturday Night's Main Event whenever I get the urge. I currently only have a working agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Always try to trade one or two of my wrestlers over there every trade to get some experience. Alright...that should be about it...now what I'm looking for... If you were watching this roster in 1991, what would you like to see happen? Anybody you want to see pushed? How would you book The Undertaker after he loses the Heavyweight title? Any events/tournaments you would like to see the WWF run that would be fun to run in-game? If you were in control, what would you do? Thanks again to anybody that took the time to read all this and a big thanks to anybody that responds.

Took a few months off from TEW to play some other games. Been getting back into in the last week or so and I'm still playing my WWF game. Started in 1985, currently in 1990.<p> </p><p> So what's happened since Wrestlemania VI? </p><p> </p><p> The Rock N' Roll Express have taken over the tag team scene, winning the tag team belts from the British Bulldogs at King of the Ring. They also won the 1990 WWF Tag Team Classic, beating Bret and Owen Hart in the finals. Speaking of the Bulldogs, they are no more. I suspended Dynamite Kid for not showing up to a media appearance. The same day, Davey Boy and Bret Hart decided to piss off Chris Benoit. I didn't want to suspend Bret, my IC champion, so they only got a fine. But it pissed off Davey Boy to the point that he wanted a release, which I granted him. Dynamite seems to be OK with his suspension, as he's not upset at all. We'll see how he behaves when he returns. Maybe Davey Boy was the instigator all these years?</p><p> </p><p> After not being used very much for some of the year, Magnum T.A. would turn heel, yelling at and punching out the WWF President, Gorilla Monsoon. He would demand a title shot and after Monsoon put him through hell, got a IC title shot against Bret Hart. The problem for Magnum? Bret's brother, Owen, was named the special guest referee. After losing that match, Magnum promised that he would quit if he lost a rematch against Monsoon, and he wanted it in a cage. After a grueling match, Magnum regained the IC title for the second time in his WWF career.</p><p> </p><p> Shawn Michaels has continued his raise up the card, enlisting the big man, Diesel to be his bodyguard. It's only a matter of time before Michaels has gold around his waist.</p><p> </p><p> The Undertaker is currently sitting at 80-0 in his WWF career. An amazing run, but it has given him a massive ego. He's provoked two fights this year, getting his butt kicked both times. Once against locker room leader Danny Hodge. The second against noted tough man, Haku. He has also become toxic after making a bunch of religious slurs. I've invested so much in this Undertaker God-push that I couldn't just release him. I've chosen to ride out the storm and just take the hits from it. What could possibly go wrong?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> And now Wrestlemania VII is in the bags! But first, who won the awards for 1990? Not me, that's for sure! Hulk Hogan was wrestler of the year. WCW only had him in 33 matches, winning 20, losing 11, with one draw, but he had an average of 93, so, whatever. Antonio Inoki and Tatsumi Fujinami won tag team of the year. Condor Saito became the first woman to win young wrestler of the year. Terry Funk won veteran of the year. NJPW won company of the year. I had the match of the year, with The Undertaker beat Roddy Piper in a casket match. Also had show of the year for Wrestlemania VI. Hogan also topped the power 500 for the second time in his career. My first wrestler in the power 500? The Undertaker at 19!</p><p> </p><p> I've let quite a few wrestlers go lately. Magnum T.A., Chris Benoit, Bob Orton Jr, Roddy Piper, and Davey Boy Smith all signed with WCW. Benoit and Davey Boy asked for their releases, which I granted, I let Magnum resign with them since I had nothing else for him, Orton I didn't renew his contract, and he signed with them. I went all in on Piper but he chose WCW over me. Lame.</p><p> </p><p> Outside of The Undertaker scandal mentioned in my quoted post, nothing too interesting happened in the wrestling world. Sabu was forced to retire at 26 after breaking his back. Gonna be weird to see ECW without him. </p><p> </p><p> On the home front in WWF, despite losing a few stars to WCW, and my World champion being toxic, I like where my heading. Bret Hart won the 1991 Royal Rumble for a shot to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania VII. Undertaker still is undefeated at 91-0 since coming to the WWF. He also has a massive ego, leading to a few fights. </p><p> </p><p> After spending a few months in development, I finally brought the Women's division and title back to the WWF at my September supercard. Wendi Richter regained the Women's title against Alundra Blayze. The division isn't taking the WWF by storm but I like where it's heading.</p><p> </p><p> And now, for the Wrestlemania VII card!</p><p> </p><p> In the opening match, after months of trying to get at him, and losing a few matches against him, Arn Anderson finally beat Mr. Perfect.</p><p> </p><p> Next up, the Faces of Fear, after turning against Bobby Heenan the week before, defeated their former Heenan Family teammates, Hercules and Nikita Koloff, when Big Bossman turned against the Heenan Family.</p><p> </p><p> Testing out the singles waters for one of my former tag team champions didn't turn out so well, as Scott Steiner lost to Randy Savage. I don't know if Steiner will keep going down the singles rout or if he'll keep teaming with his brother, Rick.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of the Women's Division, Wendi Richter retained her Women's title against former GLOW wrestler, Hollywood. Richter lost the title to Alundra Blayze at the Royal Rumble, but regained it a few weeks later when Blayze announced she was pregnant. Currently looking for a new heel to feud with Richter.</p><p> </p><p> In a disappointing match, Ric Flair defeated Dusty Rhodes. Since coming to the WWF in December, Rhodes hasn't been everything I hoped he would be. I'm hoping to find a young wrestler to team up with him.</p><p> </p><p> In the first men's title match of the night, Money, INC, (Ted DiBiase and Rick Rude), defended their Tag Team titles against the Fabulous Freebirds. Talk about a match you never thought you would see at Wrestlemania. Was my second highest rated match of the night, a 97.</p><p> </p><p> For the first time ever, a ladder match was held at Wrestlemania. After beating Kerry Von Erich for the IC title the month before, the cocky Shawn Michaels would put his belt on the line against Owen Hart. A fast paced match, that saw Owen take a stunt bump, Michaels would come out on top. These two feuding for the IC title has been a gold mine.</p><p> </p><p> And in the main event, after winning the Heavyweight belt a year ago at Wrestlemania VI, The Undertaker put his title on the line against the Royal Rumble winner, Bret Hart. First time these two have fought one-on-one, with great chemistry between them, they managed to some how get a 99 rated match as the Undertaker continued his winning streak. Will the Hitman go down like so many before him? Or will he come back again?</p><p> </p><p> Also at Wrestlemania VII, I inducted the first two members of the WWF Hall of Fame. Andre the Giant and Big John Studd. Despite them both still being active wrestlers, neither has been seen in over a year, and I just keep sending them on vacation until they retire.</p><p> </p><p> Else where in the WWF, Dynamite Kid, after losing his tag team partner, started with Rick Martel as the new Strike Force. Razor Ramon keeps going off to film movies, making it hard to invest too much in him.</p><p> </p><p> I took control of CMLL, NJPW, AJPW, and WCW and updated all their championships, events, and a few other things. Makes the game world feel more alive when I do things like that. I can't wait for ECW to form in a few years. Hopefully by than, a few other companies will have closed (or will WCCW and the AWA last well into the 90s!?), so ECW has a chance to strive. I have a few of their wrestlers (Dreamer, Sandman, Taz, etc.), in my dev company so that they can improve before hand.</p><p> </p><p> Still loving this game. Love seeing my own WWF evolve from the very start.</p>

My current game, which has been going for five years, has seen quite a few generated promotions pop up, and I hate seeing them without logos. The Hart Brothers would retain the championships in a disappointing 79 rated match.</p><p> </p><p> After botched interference from The Barbarian, Jake Roberts beat Haku. What could possibly go wrong?</p>
  18. What all does prestige affect? I've always played as WWE/WWF in TEW, so I've never really worried about it.
  19. <p>Aw, crap.</p><p> </p><p> My World champion, The Undertaker, made some religious slurs and is now toxic. He's currently sitting at 76-0, since debuting in the WWF. He's in the midst of a year-long World title reign, dominating everybody he gets in the ring with.</p><p> </p><p> Now, what do I do?</p><p> </p><p> Do I keep the belt on him, keep moving on like nothing happened, and take the hits until it goes away?</p><p> </p><p> Do I have him dropped the belt at the next show, than release him?</p><p> </p><p> Do I strip him of the title, release him, and hold a tournament?</p><p> </p><p> I honestly have no idea what to do. He's been built up since November 1988 and it's currently August 1990. Almost two years undefeated. Whoever ended up beating him, it was going to be the biggest moment in WWF history. Just striping him of the title or having him lose it ASAP is such a buzz kill.</p><p> </p><p> Any ideas?</p>
  20. <p>So now that storylines don't impact momentum anymore, does anybody else just keep a few storylines going at once and just rotate workers in and out of it?</p><p> </p><p> I've had one storyline going since April 1988, it's now August 1990. It started out as an IC title feud between Bret Hart and Rick Martel and through the years, is now a World title feud between The Undertaker and Roddy Piper. I can't even count the number of wrestlers that have been involved over the years.</p>
  21. <p>WWF Risky Business mod. Started January 1985, currently in June 1990.</p><p> </p><p> WWF Heavyweight: The Undertaker</p><p> Won from Ric Flair at Wrestlemania VI</p><p> </p><p> WWF Intercontinental: Bret Hart</p><p> Third time Hart has held the belt. Won it from Mr. Perfect at May Supercard</p><p> </p><p> WWF Tag Team: The British Bulldogs</p><p> Fourth time the Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith have held the titles. Beat Bret and Owen Hart at the April Supercard</p><p> </p><p> Royal Rumble 1990: The Undertaker</p><p> </p><p> Gotta book the 1990 editions of the King of the Ring and the WWF Tag Team Classic this month and next month but I have no idea who is gonna win them yet. I'm thinking Mr. Perfect for KotR and The Steiner Brothers for the TTC.</p>
  22. I would do the second team. Better skills will make your show better and they will gain experience the more you use them, making them much better in the long run.
  23. <p>Unless there is a title or wrestler you need RIGHT now, I'd buy them out as a development company. Let some of your younger wrestlers train over there, than a couple years, break the agreement with them and see how they do.</p><p> </p><p> I did that with Stampede Wrestling in my 1985 WWF game, broke the child company agreement a few years later, and they're going stronger than ever in 1990.</p>
  24. <p>Just finished Wrestlemania VI in my Risky Business WWF mod.</p><p> </p><p> In the opening match, Rick Rude defeated Chris Benoit. Only rated 77, was hoping for a better match to open the show.</p><p> </p><p> Following them was the Rock N Roll Express against Jerry Lawler and Ax. Crush is out with an injury and not having that third man advantage, RnR picked up the victory.</p><p> </p><p> After losing the tag team titles last month and having a falling out, the former team of Arn Anderson and Shawn Michaels finally meet in the ring. The young, brash Shawn Michaels won the match after Missy Hyatt got involved.</p><p> </p><p> In the next match, Roddy Piper beat Rick Martel. Rated a 98, this is the kind of match I've come to expect from these two.</p><p> </p><p> The tag team titles were on the line next as The British Bulldogs took on Bret and Owen Hart. The Hart Brothers would retain the championships in a disappointing 79 rated match.</p><p> </p><p> After botched interference from The Barbarian, Jake Roberts beat Haku. After taking out those two, Roberts would go backstage to take out their fellow Heenan Family member Big Boss Man.</p><p> </p><p> In a very surprising 98 rated match, Kerry Von Erich picked up the biggest victory of his WWE career, beating Magnum T.A. Hopefully this can propel KVE to bigger highs.</p><p> </p><p> Without his Heenan Family stablemates to back him up, Mr. Perfect had to resort to cheating to beat Randy Savage, not that he's not used to cheating. Perfect has only lost once since returning from injury, a IC title match against Jake Roberts, but after WWF president Gorilla Monsoon realized that he lost the title thanks to Randy Savage, he overturned the result, letting Mr. Perfect keep his IC title.</p><p> </p><p> And in the main event, a 99 rated match The Undertaker won the WWF Heavyweight championship from Ric Flair. This leaves Undertaker at a 66-0 record since entering the WWF. He won the 1990 Royal Rumble to earn this match against Flair and it looks like he will hold onto the title for a very long time.</p><p> </p><p> Overall, the event got a 100 rating, my first 100 event ever in this game.</p>
