Hey, guys, I have been battling issues with this forum for a few months now. Version 3.6.8 uses older versions of MySQL (max 5.1) and PHP (5.2.X) so I have to use a very old OS for our server. I wanted to ask you guys for your opinions. Later version of VBulletin seem pretty buggy when upgrading, so it seems we would need to go to phpBB or Invision Community. So it seems the options are to find a way to move our current board to a new server (I'm over our current hosting company), or look at migrating to phpBB or Invision Community. If any of you guys have experience in this area or have ideas, please let me know. And thank you for all your guys' support and understanding! Arlie

Appreciate that, Bombstriker. I've been monitoring and tweaking to remove all aggravating sizes/actions from the ads to where I think it is pretty benign now. Showing the ads does help our status in the network (which gets more visibility for our games). So, if anyone chooses to do that - we appreciate it!

Yeah, I have it set pretty safe now. So, if you were bothered by the box ads or older popups and don't mind giving the new ones a chance, you can try by switching to the "Default Style" and then switch back to the "No Ads" theme if it still bothers you.

This forum is a little outdated and some of the features may not work with certain mobile setups. It works on Safari and I think Firefox on mobile. I'm looking at forum upgrade options but it would involve a significant downtime and high chance we lose posts. So, for the time being, I'm doing what I can to keep this one running.

Guys, just an FYI, but I removed the square ads - you should only see the bottom rectangle now.

Yeah, I've seen the square ones too. That's a good catch and I'm going to see if I can remove those. It's on my list

I appreciate the feedback. Remember, you can switch to the no-ad theme at the bottom left of the main forum page if the ad bothers you. The problem with upgrading is vbulletin only supports up to a certain level of PHP/MySQL. So we have to stay below that.

GDS community, We've been selected to join a fairly prestigious ad network that could earn us credits to promote our games for a discounted rate. This involves adding a floating bottom ad to the forum. Now, I have been very clear that no ads that disrupt the forums (ie, takeover ads) will be allowed. I also have wanted to give forum members a way to avoid them if they do have issues. Currently, we run google ads but only for non-logged in visitors. That won't change here. So, here's my plan and let me know what you guys think: 1. I'm going to run a trial with the new ad for the weekend. If possible, I would like you guys to allow it and see if any impact you. 2. I have created a "no ads" theme for forum members. You can change to this by going to the bottom and selecting "No Ads default". If at any point the ads really bother you, feel free to switch to the No Ads version. But I would like to get some feedback from you guys over the weekend before you switch if possible. After this weekend, I will leave it up to each community member. You can choose to keep the bottom ad if it isn't too intrusive (it will help is in a small way). Or, you can chose the no ad theme. If you do stay with the default, you will only get the new bottom ad (not the old google ads) - I just want that to be clear. You guys are a vital part of our community and I want the forum experience to be as positive as possible. I am always looking for ways to grow the business and increase our fanbase - but not at the expense of you guys. All that said, use this forum to let me know your thoughts on the new ads and feel free to switch to the no ad default theme if they bother you. Thank you guys for your continued support of GDS! As far as I know, no one with any version of 20H2 (version 1904X) has had this issue.

If you have 1909, you have version 19H2 (click System-About to see) for Windows 10. 1909 just released update KB5001337, which appears to be causing the issue, but it is a lower OS Build (18363.1500) that will be out of support soon. I have the October 2020 updated version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.928 - last updated on 4/13). I am not seeing the scroll bar issue there. I would recommend anyone on 19H2 (1909) go to version 20H2 (19042) as MS is stopping support on May, 11 2021 on 1909/version 19H2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/april-13-2021-kb5001337-os-build-18363-1500-e7336837-2aaa-4f73-995c-ab2ba5013727

We had a corrupted database a while back and consolidated the forums. It seems that between the two issues, some 2010 and 2013 dynasties for TEW were lost. Some of the TEW2016 dynasties ended up in the TEW 2020 dynasties (maybe moved by the owner)?
