  1. So Reem says it was due to an anti-inflammatory drug he didn't know contained testosterone. Wonder if it'll fly.
  2. I heard about this, but if that was an issue couldn't people just watch it on UFC.tv? That's what I did, without even realising ESPN were showing this one. Agree that they need to get off the channel.
  3. Didn't realise this event was airing right now, haven't watched UFC in so long I think I'm just gonna sit back and watch this whole thing. Siver is the underdog against Nunes, what the hell... Good day for the english =D Omg Thiago just got merked
  4. I find Big Johnny hilarious. Him being...not very good...seems perfectly appropriate. Long term I agree it shouldn't last long, but he can be entertaining. Like when he told Punk he was taller than him. Admittedly though he is hard to take seriously and so doesn't seem so worth rebelling against, which is bad for Punk et al.
  5. Hendo looking likely. Let's see how much punishment he can actually take.
  6. To be fair, the issue of stronger guys who hit very very hard isn't going to get any easier by fighting Aldo. But aside from that Edgar would clean up the division.
  7. Absolutely ridiculous for him to suggest an immediate rematch. BJ got one because he's BJ Penn and the first fight was much more disputable than this one. Maynard got one because it was a freakin draw. Edgar has gone down somewhat in my estimation with the aftermath of this fight.
  8. lol @ Dana claiming Frankie won, when in the past he's been like "when it's close, damage is all that matters." Incredible heart from Frankie again but he can't sustain a career taking this much damage, needs to drop down.
  9. A lot of fights this weekend that I can only really see going one way - Rampage, Okami, Pettis and Kongo especially. May have to get a fair amount of money on it, will help me stay awake through the 7 fights as well...
  10. Yes, because anything that involves Koscheck potentially fighting GSP again should be avoided for his safety and everyone else's sanity.
  11. Man Diego is a warrior. And Ellenberger looked awful in that final round, the way he went from a takedown to surrendering his back. Could see him KOing GSP but would more likely get outlasted, and I think the same would happen in a rematch with Condit. Nonetheless I see no reason why that fight shouldn't happen now.
  12. Would love it if Diego somehow got a title shot. Can't really see him beating Ellenberger but it would be awesome.
  13. Seeing some calls for a rematch now due to GSP's return date and a lack of other options outside Ellenberger/Hendricks/Sanchez and when introducing someone else into the mix would confuse the situation further. Personally think it makes perfect sense, would be very intrigued by five more rounds of that fight.
  14. I think the problem is from poor judging in the past people have kind of come to expect a certain thing. But regardless of that I think Diaz landed the much more effective strikes in the first two at least, had the back in the fifth, so would have to give him all of those.
  15. Disagree with the decision, especially 49-46s, but really looking forward to Condit/GSP and think Condit will knock him out.
  16. Really don't want to see that fight. Wand is going to get hurt. But if he won...if he somehow won...it would be amazing. So I guess guiltily I kind of do want to see it.
  17. Anyone think with Dana saying he thought Bisping won that he could be just one big win away from a title shot still? For instance against Munoz.
  18. I don't think it's just the humble image thing though. Some of the stuff he says, the sheer amount of self belief he has, like the whole signing his name as champ before it happened thing, is exactly what some people despise. Personally I love that kind of casual arrogance that both him and Rashad possess.
  19. Yeah fair point...Davis hasn't been KO'd before so don't know what it'll take to achieve that, but I see a lot of shots being stuffed and he could get deterred before Rashad is tired. Didn't realise Oliveira was fighting, really hope he puts it together at FW as he showed some amazing skills in his first few UFC fights. Annoyingly I'm going out and probably going to get home like half way through the event, will probably have to save it for the morning to avoid accidentally spoiling Bisping/Sonnen xD
  20. May have a fairly big bet on Rashad this weekend, this he's value even at 4/7ish, really can't see any way he loses this fight.
  21. Maia the 3/2 underdog despite Weidman coming in on two weeks notice, crazy.
  22. Woah. Suddenly one much bigger fight than the two there were. This does not end well for Bisping.
  23. Man, kind of wish I'd watched it live now, twice I skipped forward a minute or so only to be met with a spectacular KO by Aldo and Barboza xD Johnson is a dick but those stand ups were absolutely ridiculous, really can't stand Belfort either. But that Aldo KO was hilarious, one of my favourite moments in a while, absolute dismissal. Am I crazy for thinking Palhares could be very dangerous even to Anderson? His last loss was a leglock after all...
  24. Can't see him being cut if he gets a brutal KO or anything but if he grinds out a decision then yeah. This may actually make him avoid that gameplan and make it a better fight.
  25. He'll probably blame the food in Brazil or something.
